Alden (Dick) Tower Alden Tower passed away at the age of 71 at The Moncton City Hospital, on Saturday, May 7, 2005. He was the son of the late James and Effie Tower. He lived and worked in Oshawa, On for several years. He is survived by his son, Jamie (Helen); granddaughter, Alica of Riverview; two sisters; Vera of Calgary, Rene of Hillsborough; two brothers, Claude of Edmontton, Frank of Hillsborough. He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Pratt) of 26 years in 2001; his mother, Effie in 1979; his father, James in 1978; and his brother, Royden in 1996. No service at his request. ERVIN, EDWIN "ED" DAVID - Mr. Edwin "Ed" David Ervin passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on May 9th, 2005 at the age of 82 years. Ed was born February 18, 1923 in Saint John, New Brunswick. He was a hard worker and started working from an early age right up until the day before he passed away. Throughout his life Ed was closely connected with the Church. His beliefs were strong which helped him through many difficult times. His many friends and acquaintances in Saint John were very special to him. In 1996, at the age of 73, Ed and Helen relocated to Red Deer to be closer to their only child Diane. It was a special time for all of the family to be together again. Two weeks after moving to Red Deer Ed started working with the Corps. Of Commissioners. Within this group he met many, many people whom he touched in one way or another. Everyone who knew him will miss him. His wife Helen of 52 years predeceased Ed in March 2001. DAD I was so proud to be your Daughter and call you "Dad". I will miss you so much but I know you and Mom are together again. HEYWOOD, REX GEORGE - Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, the death of Mr. Rex George Heywood, 86, husband of Elizabeth Genevieve (Leslie) Heywood of Saint John, occurred on May 16, 2005. Born in Victoria, Carleton Co., NB on September 14, 1918, he was a son of the late William John and Lulu (Somers) Heywood. He is survived by his wife, Betty; three daughters, Sylvia (Mrs. Earl Hawton) of Prince William, NB, Miss Lee Ann Heywood of Fredericton and Brenda Lee Wright of Saint John; one brother, Stephen Heywood of Victoria, Carleton Co., NB; two sisters, Mabelle (Mrs. John Sparks) and Mary (Mrs. Bruce Bridgeo), both of Browns Flat, NB; five grandchildren including Joshua Wright; three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend, Sharon MacLean. He was predeceased by three brothers, Roy, Donald and Bliss and one sister, Ella. Rex served for six years in Canada and England as a sergeant during WWII and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #14, Saint John. McLEAN, DOROTHY MAE 'LYNN' - The death of Dorothy Mae 'Lynn' McLean, wife of the late Dr. John Douglas McLean, occurred on May 16, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Canso, NS, she was the daughter of the late Kingston and Rena (McKenzie) Keating. She was a member of St. Pius X Church and regularly attended the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
