UXBRIDGE— Helen (Bardier) Schotanus, 80, formerly of Hartford Ave. and Haines City, FL., died Sunday, May 15 in Beaumont Nursing and Rehab Center of Northbridge, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Stuart Schotanus; two daughters, Florence Reed of Whitinsville and Joanne Judkins of Uxbridge; three grandchildren, Tammy Lambert of Tenn., William Lambert of Worcester and Kimberlin Marshall of Woburn; 7 great-grandchilden; a brother Ronald Bardier of Sutton; two sisters, Theresa McGee of Grafton and Yvette Chizy of Sutton and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond and Albert Bardier. Born on June 15, 1924, in Grafton, she was the daughter of the late Ovilla and Marie Rose (Kaplette) Bardier. She was an assembler at GE, Timex and Telecron in Ashland for many years. Mrs. Schotanus lived most of her life in Uxbridge before retiring to Haines City, FL. and had been a resident at Beaumont Nursing and Rehab Center in Northbridge for the last 5 years. She is a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Whitinsville. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, exercising, traveling and most of all her grandchildren. Her funeral mass will be held Wed., May 18, at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St. Burial will follow in Riverdale Cemetery in Northbridge. LANDRY, MARIA ANNA (DeGREGORY), 93, of Newcomb Road, died Saturday at Kent Regency Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Warwick. She was the wife of the late Norman P. 'Max' Landry, Sr. for 57 years. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Umberto and Angela (Petraca) DeGregory.Mrs. Landry was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, West Warwick, where she was a member of St. Ann's Sodality. She was a charter member of the West Bay Covenant Church where she assisted her daughter teaching nursery school. She was also a member of the North Kingstown Senior Center.She leaves a son, Norman P. Landry, Jr. of Wakefield; two daughters, Ann Marie McCall of North Kingstown and Winifred Ann Costanza of East Greenwich; a brother, Anthony DeGregory of Coventry; two sisters, Stella and Viola DeGregory both of West Warwick; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Powell of San Marcos, Calif.; two sisters, Janet Skehan of Ashburnham and Nathalie Chevrette; and her very close friend, June Bechard of Leominster. Her husband of 43 years, Raymond A. LOWELL -- Donald J. Jacques, 73, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 14, at Saints Memorial Medical Center. He was the husband of Eileen (Reynolds) Jacques.He was born in Lowell on Feb. 24, 1932, a son of the late Donat and Mary Louise (Tellier) Jacques. He attended Lowell schools.Mr. Jacques was a local cab driver for many years before his retirement. He had previously worked in maintenance at a local nursing home and was a roofer for several years. He was a communicant of the former St. Jean Baptiste Church.Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa Jacques of Lowell; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Francis and Brenda Jacques of Tucson, Ariz., Raymond and Barbara Jacques and Arthur and Alice Jacques, all of Lowell; three sisters, Cecile Modica, Doris Machado and Theresa Crosby, all of Lowell; a granddaughter, Cassie Jacques of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.He was also brother of the late Eva Jacques, and uncle of the late Debbie Crosby.

LEWISTON - Gerard "Gerry" Pelletier, 55, of Sabattus, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, May 14, at Central Maine Medical Center.He was born in Lewiston, on Nov. 22, 1949, the son of Leo J. and the late Evaline Samson Pelletier.He attended Mechanic Falls High School, graduating in 1967, as part of the last graduating class before the school closed. He later attended Bliss College, graduating with an associate's degree in business in 1971.On Oct. 25, 1969, he married his wife of 35 years, Linda Greaton Pelletier, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Mechanic Falls.He was a member of the National Guard 133rd Engineer Battalion of Lewiston serving from 1971 to 1977. He also served as the scoutmaster for Troop 158 of Lewiston for many years.He worked at Butler Brothers as an industrial salesman until his retirement in June 2004. After his retirement, Gerry became very interested in cooking, watching all of the cooking shows and putting his newfound love to the test on his family.He also found great joy in watching many birds that could be found flying around his home in Sabattus. Gerry's favorite hobby, however, was working on computers, and he leaves many projects running like a dream due to his expertise in fixing them.He is survived by his wife; three children, Leo G. Pelletier and Jennifer Bowden of Phoenix, Ariz., Eric and Heather Pelletier of North Wales, Penn., and Robert Pelletier and Ronni-Jo Twist of Bangor; his father, Leo J. Pelletier and his wife, Toni, of Millinocket; his cherished grandsons, Evan and Cameron Pelletier of North Wales, Penn.; and two brothers, Jim Pelletier and Jay Pelletier, both of Millinocket.

DORA MICLETTE MAILLE -- BURLINGTON — On May 14, 2005, Dora (Miclette) Maille, a resident of Starr Farm Nursing Center since Jan. 12, 1999, went to meet with her Lord and Savior. Dora was born July 28, 1911, in Roxton Falls, Quebec, the daughter of the late Leon and Emma (Brouillard) Miclette. She was the spouse of the late Amedee Paul Maille, married on June 17, 1929, and enjoyed over 50 years of life together. Prior to her becoming disabled in 1999, Dora enjoyed meeting people, playing cards and traveling. Prior to her confinement she had taken two Caribbean cruises, enjoyed many side trips to Florida (Disney World, Sea World), the East Coast, Canada, and Niagara Falls, N.Y. She leaves her family of five children, Joseph and wife Marguerite, George, Margaret (Maille) Guthrie, Patrick and his wife Theresa and Lorraine (Maille) Barrows. She is survived by her sister, Albina (Miclette) Gagne of Indian Orchards, Mass. Also surviving are 23 grand- children; 49 great-grandchildren; eight great-greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Amedee Paul on April 28, 1989; also by her sisters and brothers, Pauline, Florence (Miclette) Desmaris, Leopold, Franchis, Leonara (Miclette) Dube, Damase, Ernest; a daughter-in-law, Theresa (Rivers) Maille; a son-in-law, Gilbert S. Barrows; and a grandson, Stanton Barrows. Don was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She touched the lives of many people and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The family of Dora Maille would like to thank Dr. Robert Karp, nurses Jane Fields and Jane Headricks, all the aides, the staff of Starr Farm Nurisng Center for all care, comfort and attention given to our Mother Dora during her residency. BROWNVILLE JUNCTION -- Joseph F. C. Madore, 87, husband of the late Marcelle (Roy) Madore, died peacefully May 13, 2005, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. He was born April 10, 1918, in Winterville, the son of Dennis and Mary (Cyr) Madore. He was educated in Fort Kent schools. A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he proudly served his country during the Burma Campaign with Merrill's Marauders, where he was wounded. He was a conductor and brakeman with the Canadian-Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1978 after 33 years. He was a member of the Bernard Jones American Legion Post No.92, a member of the United Transportation Union, a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, and will be remembered by his family as a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by two sons, Mike and Richard Madore of Brownville Jct.; three daughters, Ann Vale of Venice, Fla., Karen Dean and her husband, George, of Brownville Jct., Theres? Krause and her husband, John, of Fort Fairfield; three brothers, Reginald Madore and his wife, Janelle, Lionel Madore and his wife, Martha, Philip Madore and his wife, Florence; a sister, Regina Early, all of Fort Kent; seven grandchildren, Christopher Vale and his wife, Jennifer, Michelle Lancellotta and her husband, Dominic, Gregory Dean and his wife, Kelley, Gary Dean, Justin Dean, Thomas Krause, and Nicholas Krause; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Marie Lancellotta, and Aleah Avis Dean; several nieces and nephews. Charlotte Theresa Falgout Boquet, 58, a native of Pointe-Ala-Hache and resident of Houma, died at 12:47 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2005. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Living Word Church. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Daniel John Boquet Sr. of Houma; two sons, Daniel John Boquet Jr. and John Michael Boquet; three daughters, Mrs. Pat (Pamela Marie) Gordon, Mrs. Brian (Nancy Ann) Fournier and Mrs. Michael (Michele Marie) LeBlanc; one brother, Tommy Falgout; two sisters, Mary Lou Wahl and Gloria Cunningham; and 18 grandchildren, Kristie Matherne, Dustin Boquet, Heather Boquet, Danielle Fournier, Jordon Boquet, Britney Fournier, Kevin Gordon, Brandon Boquet, Aubrey Fournier, Grant Gordon, Ruth Boquet, Owen Pellegrin, Patrick Gordon Jr., Michelle Gordon, Amy LeBlanc, Ashley LeBlanc, Kelly LeBlanc and Daniel LeBlanc. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norris Falgout and Lydia Nettleton Falgout; and one grandchild, John Gordon. She was a teacher at Pointe-aux-Chenes Elementary School and a member of Living Word Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
