BONNAH, Leo Gerald Sunday, May 15, 2005, after an illness he endured with great patience and dignity. Born on September 29, 1924. Leo was a Royal Canadian Navy Veteran, a long time employee of National Research Council, a gifted handyman, but most importantly a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Kay (nee O'Donoghue), his daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Mike (Hawkes), Elaine, Colleen and Doug (Haferkamp), and Linda and Andrew (Matejcic) and by his adored grandsons Evan, Neal, and Brandon. Leo was predeceased by his brother Wilbert (Yolande) and sisters Isabel (Rolly) and Rita (Lomer), and is survived by his dear sister Mary (Wes) and his brother Mike. McCALLUM, Mary Elsbeth "Betty". Died at her beloved home in London on Sunday, May 15, 2005. She was born in Mont Louis, Quebec on The Gaspe Coast. She was the daughter of the late Jane "Jen" Huntington Girard and John Douglas McCallum. Betty leaves her sister Marian Mountain (Alan) and her brothers Douglas (Frances) and Evert (Vera). Betty was the proud aunt to eleven nieces and nephews and sixteen grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Phyllis Morin (1964) and brother-in-law Larry Morin, sister Shirley (1932) and brothers Lewis (1933) and Lowell (1934). Betty was also predeceased by her long time friend and nursing buddy Patricia Ann Binns. She cherished her "family of friends". Those friends will know who they are. Thériault a été un fidèle défenseur dévoué à la cause des personnes ayant un handicap visuel. À travers son travail comme administrateur régional de l’Institut national canadien pour les aveugles (l’INCA), J. Bruno Thériault a fait progresser la cause des personnes ayant un handicap visuel de multiples façons. En plus de son travail, et même à la suite de sa retraite en 1984, il apporta ses connaissances et son appui à plusieurs comités dans le but d’améliorer les services aux personnes ayant un handicap - quel qu’il soit. À la suite d’une recommandation que Bruno a fait à la fin des années 1990, le gouvernement canadien est maintenant en mesure d’imprimer la monnaie (papier) canadienne avec l’écriture braille permettant ainsi aux personnes atteintes de cécité de reconnaître les différentes dénominations. Durant sa vie adulte, il a été reconnu comme «L’Accordeur de piano aveugle». Ces nombreux clients pouvaient apprécier son professionnalisme et sa disponibilité. Ces pianos étaient toujours accordés «juste» puisque l’accordement était effectué à l’aide d’un diapason utilisé par un accordeur exceptionnel ayant une «oreille acoustique». Il a été reconnu comme l’accordeur de piano le plus âgé au Canada. On a déjà pu lire dans les journaux: «Perfect Pitch» - MonctonTimes & Transcript (édition du samedi 5 mai 2001). «60 Years of Perfect Accord» - The Gazette, Montréal (édition du lundi 14 mai 2001) et «Bruno Thériault, le plus ancien accordeur de piano certifié du Canada» - Journal Dieppe (édition du 1er août 2003). M. Thériault accorda son dernier piano en avril 2005 à Moncton. Il demeura à Edmundston de 1941 à 1975 et à Moncton de 1975 à ce jour. De 1949 à 1984, il a été administrateur régional du bureau régional de l’INCA à Edmundston et à Moncton. She was president of St. Andrew's CWL for many years; a member of the committee overseeing the Loggieville seniors complex and a dedicated member of the Loggieville Rec Center Commission for many years. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Clarence Keith Mott and five sons, Zoël (Diane) Martin of Moncton, Early (Danna) of Fredericton, Michael (Mary) of Loggieville, Brian of Loggieville and Tracy Wayne (Kelly) of Victoria, BC; eight grandchildren, Lisette, Sarah, Jessica, Jared, Matthew, Eric, Nevada, and Harrison; and four great grandchildren, Jean-Nicholas, MacKenzie, Alexandre and Logan. ANDERSON, ARDIE RICHARD With great sadness, we announce the passing of Ardie Richard Anderson, peacefully at home on Saturday, May 14, 2005, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Burns and Tillie (Regan) Anderson. Ardie loved the outdoors and was an avid sports and Nascar fan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, softball and hockey. For many years, Ardie coached hockey with the Stanley Minor Hockey Association and enjoyed playing in the Industrial League. Ardie thoroughly enjoyed "Poker Night" with his friends, and will be remembered by many friends but none more then his great friend "Sook". Left to cherish their memories are his loving wife, best friend, his "Rock" Elizabeth (Breau) Anderson, the pride of his life, his children Heidi Anderson (David Flynn) of Cross Creek, NB; his sons Burns (Melanie) Anderson of Melfort, SK and Hank Anderson of English Settlement NB; "Honourary Grampie" to Cody and Madison; five brothers George (Joyce) of Stanley NB, Thurman (Carole) of Taymouth NB, Melvin (Anne) of Taymouth NB, Millen (Joan) of Stanley NB and Ken (Denise) of Stanley NB; six sisters Mary O'Hara of Stanley NB, Winnie (Charles) Duguay of Stanley NB, Lillian Wall of Fredericton NB, Darlene Goodine of Stanley NB, Juanita (Linden) Green of Stanley NB and Charlotte (Ronald) Hay of Stanley NB; several nieces and nephews. Eva Pickard June 16, 1913 - May 13, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully on May 13, 2005, Eva passed away at the Hillcrest Personal Care Home in Brandon, Mb at the age of 91. Eva married Roy Pickard who had two daughters Dorothy and Ruth. Roy predeceased her in 1969. Eva was also predeceased by her brothers Bob and Harry Battershell and sister Grace (Percy) Moore. She leaves to mourn her brother George (Mary Battershell of McCreary, MB and brother Edward Battershell of Neepawa, MB), many nieces and nephews, the Lenius family and Rempel family and many friends. Eva loved to travel and enjoyed meeting people. She went to Europe and travelled extensively through out the U.S.A., Canada and Alaska. Hawaii was her favorite vacation spot. She was a member of the Legion ALadies Auxiliary@. Eva and her late husband were owner operators of Pickard Map Company and travelled throughout Western Canada distributing the maps. When Roy passed away, Eva continued to carry on the business. Eva enjoyed fishing, photography, bowling, discussing politics and was a great reader. Cremation has taken place and Eva=s remains will be placed with her husband Roy at a graveside service on Wednesday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Violet E. Bossuet Mays, age 72, of Huntington, entered into the presence of our Lord on Saturday, May 14, 2005, with her family at her side. Born in Bridgeport on November 22, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Bossuet. Violet resided for most of her life in Stratford, until moving to Huntington 14 years ago. She was a graduate of Stratford High School and was formerly employed by General Electric, until devoting herself as a full time wife and mother. She was a past president of the Stratford Square Dance Club, where she and her husband were members for several years, and was also very active in the Neighborhood Crime Watch programs in both Stratford and Huntington. She was a former member of the Olde Ripton Garden Club in Shelton, and The Happy Hearts Club at Calvary Church in Trumbull where she attended regularly. Violet was very well known for her green thumb, spending countless hours manicuring her many beautiful flower gardens and sharing perennials with anyone who expressed an interest in them. She was also a wonderful cook and baker, and opened her home to hundreds of guests over the years that enjoyed her generous hospitality on holidays, special occasions and family reunions. Violet is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald, and their two daughters: Donna M Beatty and her husband, Bruce, of Huntington, and Lori M Friot, and her husband, Rich ,of Monroe. She was thoroughly devoted to her four grandchildren, Bryan Christopher Beatty, Jason Donald Friot, Brett Matthew Beatty, and Kailyn Leigh Friot, all of whom she could not have been more proud. She will also be missed by her brother, Robert Bossuet and his wife, Dolores, of Newtown; two sisters, Dorothy Buckson of South Carolina, and Mary E. Line and her husband, Gordon, of England; as well as several nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Europe. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the many friends at Christian Heritage School and Calvary Church for their constant support and encouragement during Violet's illness.
