Doris Josephinie Chimilar (née Inman) November 05, 1926 - April 15, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Glen Eden Funeral Home (Winnipeg) Peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2005 Doris passed away at the age of 78. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her children; Warren (Vivian), Murray (Linda Kisil), Larry (Lorene) and Brenda (Jim) Loewen; grandchildren; Kelly (Tannis), Kristi (Jason) Scott, Carrie (Rob) Quinto, Derek and Matthew, step grandchildren; Darryl, Sandra (Joel), Ryan, Ashley, Mathew, Carla and Adam (Angie), great-grandson Callin and step great-granchildren; Noah, Dallis, Joshua and Lucas. Doris will also be missed by her long time friends, Bill and Louise "Red" Dawyduk as well as sisters, Helen Hanna and Phyllis Thirlwall. Doris was predeceased by her husband Wally in 2003, her parents, Katherine and Joseph Inman, sisters, Violet and Lorraine, brothers, Raymond and Glen and daughter-in-law Donna. Doris was born November 5, 1926 in Winnipeg. After completing grade 8 she went to work at Eatons in the tailor shop where she manufactured suits for the soldiers returning from the war. It was there that she met Louise, who would become her life long friend. Doris and Wally met in 1946, 2 weeks after originally meeting, Wally proposed and they were married May 8, 1948. Doris and Wally raised their children and spent 55 happy years together. Doris loved her family. She was always putting others before herself. Doris enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking for them and gardening. The dignity and respect afforded mum and our family by everyone at Kildonan Personal Care Centre is truly appreciated. Words cannot express our thanks. In accordance with Doris's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will take place. Kenneth Comberbach September 26, 1913 - April 01, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully on Friday, April 1, 2005, at Oakview Place, Garnet Comberbach passed away at the age of 91 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 26, 1913 to Winnifraide and Donald Comberbach. He was predeceased by his parents, an infant daughter Wendy, three brothers; 4 brothers-in-law; 1 sister-in-law and a step daughter, Beatrice. He is survived by his wife Anne and his memory will be cherished by sons Delbert (Josie), Wayne, Medric (Kathy); daughters Lacona (Ted), Maroah (Ray), Lorise (Randy); stepson Joe (Carole); 22 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; 4 sisters; 2 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Garnet grew up and attended school in St. James. He had a fondness for horses which he expressed during his years as a delivery driver for Eaton's during their horse and carriage years and it was on one of his routes where he met his wife to be. He then moved on to the Winnipeg Transit where a thirty year career as a driver included street cars, trolley buses and diesel buses. It was during this time that he, along with his family built their cottage at Jessica Lake where summer gatherings of 20 or 30 were not uncommon, their home was always open to family and friends. Upon his retirement from Winnipeg Transit, he moved to Piney, Manitoba where he was once again able to indulge in his love of animals, particularly horses, on the small farm which he built and where he lived until returning to the city in 1998. Garnet was a kind and gentle father with an easygoing manner and wonderful sense of humor. He will be remembered for his firm grip and loving “squeezes” and his ever ready smile which he would generously share with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. We would like to express our warmest thanks to the staff at Oakview Place for the kind and compassionate care which Garnet received over the past eleven months and for the support and kindness shown his family. In accordance with Garnet's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 8 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Born November 22, 1945, in Halifax, he was a son of Margaret (Lock) Fraser, Dartmouth, and the late William Fraser. Paul was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He worked as a nursing orderly at the Nova Scotia Hospital for 30 years. After his retirement, he pursued his interest in genealogy. Along with his mother, Paul is survived by his wife, the former Ethel Schofield, and brother, David. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. WHITINSVILLE— George R. Couillard II, 21, of 41 Prospect St. died Tues. May 3 at work as a result of a welding accident. He is survived by his parents Paul H. and Susan D. (Beaudreau) Couillard; 4 loving sisters Angela M. Crews of Whitinsville, Sarah J. Couillard of Fall River, Kathrine L. Couillard of Whitinsville and Amy B. Couillard of Whitinsville; his paternal grandmother Helen E. (Benoit) Couillard of Whitinsville; his maternal grandparents Armand Beaudreau of Westborough and Bernice (Marando) Beaudreau of Grafton; a nephew Marcel Crews; aunts, uncles, cousins, his National Guard "Battle Buddies"; and his two loyal dogs Skid and Nakita. Born in Worcester on July 2, 1983 he had lived here most of his life. George was a welder and heavy equipment mechanic at L.W. Tank Repair in North Uxbridge the past 3 years. He had a passion for his vocation and loved those he worked with. He was a 2001 graduate of Blackstone Valley Technical High School. He served as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard and was to be deployed to Iraq in the fall following upcoming additional military training. He had a strong commitment and loyalty to his country, family and friends. He enjoyed four wheeling with all his friends, restoring trucks and cars, camping and fishing. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. His funeral will be held Monday May 9 from Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St. with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, Cross St. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Born in Chalk River she moved to North Bay as a child. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas James Bolger. William (Bill) Perlini, époux en premières noces de feu Yvette et en secondes noces de Mme Delsada McCalla. Il était fils de feu Giuseppe Perlini et de Anna Fulvi. Tony D’Errico May 13, 1964 - April 22, 2005 Sadly, we announce the sudden passing of Tony D’Errico, age 40, on April 22, 2005, at his residence. Tony was born in Montreal, May 13th, 1964. Having lived in Winnipeg since the age of five, Tony attended Voyageur, Spring Valley and John Taylor Schools. Tony was an avid athlete, as he was an outstanding hockey goalie, playing for the Crestview and St. James Canadians, AA hockey teams. Tony’s love of the game led him to become a coach as well as a referee. Tony was employed by Tru-serv for many years. Tony is survived by his much loved son Christopher, age 10 who was his passion in life. His Mother, Rose D’Errico (Lou Roberts), Brother and best friend Ron D’Errico (Donna Parniak), Nieces Nikki, Ashlee and Cara. He is predeceased by his Father Angelo D’Errico, and both Maternal and Paternal Grandparents and Uncle Angelo Norcia. Tony has a large extended family in Montreal, Auntie Phil (Nino), Auntie Mary, Uncle Jim Kosowan and Auntie Jeanine from Cornwall. Numerous cousins, Mary, Gina, Terry and Anna and there immediate family. Tony is also survived by his former wife Kathy (Mother of Christopher), Sister-in-law Mary and Brother-in-law Don. Tony may have lived a short life but he made an impact on everyone who befriended him. Tony will be sadly missed but remains always in our hearts. Rest in peace, sleep well Tony. OUELLETTE, Germaine Marie Lucille (née Ethier) - The family announces with sorrow her death, Saturday April 30th, 2005, in Sudbury, at the age of 87 years. Daughter of the late Aldéric and of the late Bertha (née Demers) Ethier. Wife of the late Victor Napoléon Ouellette. Loving mother of Anita Beaulieu (Donald J) of Warren: Anita and Donald live in the original family dwelling built in 1918. Lovingly remembered by her 4 grandchildren Jean, Natalie, Isabelle, Ronald and by her 3 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Bernadette Piette (Raymond predeceased) of Lavigne and Roland Ethier (Rita) of Sudbury. Predeceased by her sister and 3 brothers. Mrs. Ouellette was born and raised in Verner, Ontario, later becoming a school teacher in the Monetville and Warren areas, retiring many years ago. She was involved in the Ministry of Baptism, as well, was a reader at St-Thomas Apôtre Church in Warren. She received her Doctorate in Theology and was active in the leadership of teaching Catechism in the Catholic Church. Mrs. Ouellette was a member of les Dames Culturelles, la Vie Montante and les Vers Demains. She enjoyed gardening and especially her rose garden. The family will receive friends at the St-Thomas Apôtre Parish Hall on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 5th, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in St-Thomas Apôtre Church, Warren. Joanie was born March 19, 1948, in the Charlottetown Hospital to the late Robert and Evelyn (Rogers) Dodds of Harrington, P.E.I. She was the beloved wife of Brian and loving mother of Dennis Robertson, Lower Sackville; Derrick Robertson, Sackville, N.B.; Darlene Robertson, Bedford; and stepdaughter, Colleen Kusack (Eccles), White Rock, B.C. Joanie idolized her sweet grandchildren, Sidney Haze Robertson, Alexander James Robertson and Brian's grandchildren, Ryan and Kyle Kusack. Her special daughter-in-law, Shawn (Derrick) Robertson and niece, Shiana (Daron) Andrews will miss her dearly. She is survived by brothers and sisters, Harold (Lorraine) Dodds, Stratford, P.E.I.; Stella (Wilfred) Gregg, Halifax; Robert (Marguerite) Dodds, Victoria, B.C.; Raymond (Roma) Dodds, Dartmouth; Melvin (Mae) Dodds, Chilliwack, B.C.; Norman (Norma) Dodds, Edmonton, Alta.; Eva (Clifton) Conrad, Enfield; Earl (Anne) Dodds, Calgary, Alta.; and half-brother Allan Dodds, Red Deer, Alta. MAY, Tim Tim died on May 4 at age 41. He had been cycling with his wife, CBC journalist Margo McDiarmid when he collapsed outside the U.S. embassy. Tim was an inspirational journalist and a naturally gifted leader and teacher. Young, athletic and talented, he was a splendid colleague and friend. He was a joy to know. Chief among his qualities were his grace and humour. Tim joined Carleton University's Faculty of Journalism last July, returning to the University where he took his Bachelor and Masters of Journalism degrees. He began his career as a reporter for CJOH-TV , while an undergraduate. He went on to work for CBC in Ottawa, London, England and Toronto as a reporter, anchor and producer. Tim was always drawn to teaching and in 1993, he and Margo moved to Britain to pursue that dream. He took his PhD in 1996 at the University of Wales (Cardiff). Upon his return to Canada, Tim taught briefly in Calgary before moving to CBC Edmonton where he became Managing Editor. He shaped and influenced many journalists who will miss him dearly. In addition to Margo, Tim is survived by their 10-year-old daughter Aislinn; his father Ross of Oakville; brother Andy (Kristin), their children Cooper and Avery of Willmington, Mass.; his mother-in-law Connie Macdowell, Ottawa; sister-in-law Kim McDiarmid (Raymond Hession), and niece Madeleine of Stittsville, his uncle and aunt Dave and Eileen Robinson of Toronto. Tim was predeceased by his mother Joan in 1998. WILSON, LAURIN WILLIAM - The death of Laurin Wilson of Gondola Point Rd., Rothesay, husband of Gladys M. (Jones) Wilson, occurred on Wednesday, May 4th, 2005, at his residence. Born in Kingston, New Brunswick he was the son of the late Frederick Wilson and Grace M. (Redstone) Wilson. Laurin was a veteran of World War II, serving overseas with the N.B. Rangers and Lorne Scots Regiments. He worked with Higgins & Wilson Refrigeration from 1946 - 1981 and through this time, became owner and President. He also served on the Advisory Board with the Department of Labour concerning refrigeration policies and procedures. Laurin was a renowned Master of Industrial and Commercial refrigeration and an accomplished machinist and control wiring technician. In his leisure time, Laurin's passions included woodworking and gardening, and as a skilled craftsman he produced many outstanding pieces of furniture. Along with this love, he handcrafted a cabin cruiser of which he and Glad enjoyed many trips up the Saint John and Kennebecasis Rivers. Laurin was gifted in so many ways and so many trades - he could set his skilled hands to any task with detailed perfection. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Kenneth L. Wilson (Patricia) of Rothesay, N.B., daughter, Pixie L. Wilson-Trip (Pieter) of Brockville, ON, grandson Christopher Wilson, granddaughters Jillian Wilson and Nyssa Trip and many nieces and nephews. Laurin's brother Edward, Charles and Bernard and sisters Annie, Grace and Faith predeceased him. Laurin was the last surviving member of his immediate family. As a request of the family, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, on May 7th at 11:00AM. Johann "John" Felix Frommelt April 29, 1929 - April 01, 2005 Peacefully, on Friday April 1, 2005 at the Selkirk General Hospital, John passed away at the age of 75 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Florence of 45 years; daughters Kathy (Jeff) of Victoria, British Columbia, Heidi (Roddy) of Selkirk, Agnes (Earl) of Lockport; sons Floyd (Lynn) of Selkirk, Albert (Elsie) of Winnipeg, David (Tara) of Selkirk; one brother Karl (Anna) of Liechtenstein; sister Marlise of Liechtenstein, Barbara (Helmut) of Austria. John was born on April 29, 1929 in Schaan, Liechtenstein, he later immigrated to Canada in 1952. John met Florence in Petersfield and they married on September 25, 1959. Together they raised their seven children in Petersfield. John was employed at the R.M. of St. Andrews where he worked in road maintenance for many years and made a lot of friends along the way. TOBIN, Gauburge (Sherry) - October 14, 1925 - April 27, 2005 - Gauburge (Sherry) Tobin, began her final journey home on Wednesday, April 27, 2005. As she departed the loving embrace of her earthly family, she was welcomed into the open arms of God. Although her family is deeply saddened, they find comfort in the knowledge that Sherry was ready to commit her soul to eternal life and be reunited with her beloved husband and family and cherished friends who went before her. In the late 1940's Sherry left her home in St. Boniface, Manitoba and bid adieu to her parents, Agnes and Guillaume Charette, her sisters Simone, Pitoune, Andree, and Louise, and her brother Guy. Sudbury was booming and Sherry, diploma in hand, responded to the call for medical care professionals. Her career as a laboratory technologist began at St. Joseph's Hospital, continued at the INCO Medical Centre and after 23 years at the Sudbury Algoma Hospital she retired in 1988. Soon after coming to Sudbury, Sherry met and married the love of her life, Eddie Tobin. In the years that followed Sherry devoted herself to her husband, their four children, Pat, Peggy, Chuck and Carol and their home on Henri St. Every service she rendered as a wife and mother was an expression of her love and devotion. Over time her circle of family and friends grew. Near to her heart were her grandchildren Zachary and Riley. The Tobin, Wodzicki, Guay, Bartlett, Stein, Lanthier, Condratto, Lawlor and Christopher families were all enriched by having Sherry as their sister, mother-in-law and auntie. Among her many friendships, those with Rose, Pam, Ruth, Joyce, Marguerite, Karinna, Jackie, members of the bridge club and the spirited women in the poker club, were particularly close. Busy as she was with family and friends, Sherry always found time to put her energy and talents to work in the community. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Patrick's Church for many years and offered countless volunteer hours to the Red Cross, P.T.A., C.W.L. and the Cub Scouts. In later years she became a dedicated member of the Inner City Home volunteer team. After 14 years of service at the home she reluctantly retired for health reasons. More recently, Sherry had moved to Meadowbrook Residence in Lively where, as one might expect, she enthusiastically embraced each and every social opportunity, made many close friendships among staff and residents and was an active volunteer on committees and at functions. In celebrating Sherry's life we pay tribute to her sparkle and unlimited "joie de vivre", her gracious hospitality, remarkable generosity, genuine compassion for other people, and abiding faith. The family invites you to join with them in a memorial celebration for Sherry on Saturday, May 7th at 12:45 p.m. at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home. ANDREWS, Douglas Frank. 1935-2005. Suddenly at his property in Bolton Center, on Tuesday, May 3, 2005, in his seventieth year, passed away Douglas Frank Andrews. Beatrice "Bee" Toups, 84, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, died Thursday, May 5, 2005. Couillard, 76, of Middleboro, Mass., died Wednesday, May 4, at Morton Hospital, after a lengthy illness.He was the husband of the late Lucille (LaChance) Couillard, who passed away in 2002.Born in Lewiston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Yvonne Prahan Couillard.He was a retired foreman for the Checon Co. in Taunton, where he had been employed for more than 30 years.He was a past member of the Eagles of Middleboro, and also the Middleboro Lodge of Elks.He enjoyed the greyhounds, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He attended Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro.He is survived by one son, Maurice R. Couillard, of Shirley, Mass.; one daughter, Jeanne N. Samson, of Middleboro, Mass.; one brother, Peter Couillard, of Maine; three sisters, Mary Jane Couillard of Maine, Estelle Loubier of Sabattus and Georgette Pelletier of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Leila Laura of Florida and Jeanie A. Donna was the Vice-President of S.P.N.I.A., and enjoyed being a foster parent, volunteering, doing crafts, and mostly being a grandma to her 7 grandchildren. On July 27, 1963, she married Larry G. Mayette, Sr., and he survives her along with their children, Larry Mayette, Jr., Pamela (Kurt) Dykman, Michael (Kelly) Mayette, and David (Leslie) Mayette all of Muskegon; foster daughter, Lisa (Michael) Coppola of Manistee; 7 grandchildren, Nicholas, Jadyn, and Jordan Dykman, Kendall Pruitt, Logan, Cody, and Courtney Mayette; her mother, Ruth Doctor; 3 brothers, Robert (Hennie) Doctor of Fruitport, Roger (Sherrie) Doctor of Norton Shores, Ken (Wilma) Doctor of Fruitport; and special friends, Richard and Pearl McKellar, Richard and Sharon Ward, Dale and Judy Swanstrom and many others. Sunshine was born in Worcester and lived in the area for most of her life. She was a member of the Quaboag Valley Baptist Church in Brookfield. Sunshine was a cashier for both Big Bunny Supermarket in Southbridge and Mick Nuck Supermarket in Sturbridge. She was a Pop Warner cheerleader and a licensed certified babysitter through Harrington Memorial Hospital. Calling hours will be held on Sun.
