Major Donald Gordon Maye June 30, 1949 - April 03, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully, with family and friends at his side, Major Donald Maye was Promoted to Glory on Sunday April 3, at Health Sciences Centre at the age of 55. Don was born and raised in Monkstown, Newfoundland. He faithfully served as a Salvation Army Officer for 34 years, the last 12 of which were spent in Winnipeg as Director of Chaplaincy for the Grace General Hospital and as Executive Director of Golden West Centennial Lodge. His compassion for others, and caring spirit will be remembered by all who knew him. Don will be remembered by his loving wife Daphne, daughters, Deanne and Donna Lee (Carson), and grandson, Caleb Donald. Also left to cherish his memory are his father, Thomas; siblings, Gerald, Chris, Barry, Scott, Betty and Phyllis, as well as many other relatives and friends. Don was predeceased by his mother Harriett. Viewing to take place Wednesday April 6 at 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. A celebration of Don’s life will be held Thursday, April 7 at 1:30 p.m. at Heritage Park Temple, 825 School Road. Interment and reception to follow. SPRINGFIELD - Peter F. Archambault, 62, died early Sunday morning at Mercy Medical Center. He was the son of the late Louis and Condyea Archambault, beloved brother of Annmarie Parzych, Gail Allsop and Louis Archambault, Jr., brother in law of Stanley Parzych and Chuck Allsop and uncle to several nieces and nephews. Peter retired in 2000 after working over 25 years at Goodwill Industries and 10 years at Big Y. He was a life long parishioner at Holy Cross Church in Springfield. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Hafey Springfield Chapels, 494 Belmont Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 221 Plumtree Rd., Springfield. LEWISTON - Robert N. Boilard, 78, of 45 Cassell St., passed away Sunday, April 3, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, after a lingering illness with his loving family by his side.He was born in Auburn, Oct. 1, 1926, the son of Napoleon and Laura Poirier Boilard. He was educated in local schools and was married to his soulmate, Irene C. Duchette, on Sept. 23, 1950.Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Dori Shoe Co. He was a member of Holy Cross Parish and the Lewiston Senior Citizens. He and his wife of 54 years were always together and were best friends, in addition to being husband and wife. He was a loving and caring grandfather to Melissa and Jim, and spent much quality time with them.He cherished the summers he spent with his family at his cottage on Sabattus Lake. He enjoyed playing pool and cribbage with his family and playing pinochle weekly with the Lewiston Senior Citizens. He also enjoyed the company of his dog, Robbie. In his younger days, he was very athletic and a Twin City candlepin bowling champion.He will be remembered for his kind heart and loving ways by everyone who had the pleasure to know him. He will be greatly missed by us all.He is survived by his wife of Lewiston; a son, Donald Boilard and his wife, Jane, of Lisbon Falls; two grandchildren, Melissa Ann Trider and her husband, Nicholas, of Lewiston and Jim Boilard of Lisbon Falls; a sister, Georgette Lawrence of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by two brothers, Emile in 1992 and Armand in 2002.

Eddie Smith Eddie Smith, aged 71 years, of the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, and formerly of Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation, passed away on Sunday April 3, 2005 at the Morris General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Edith Laroque and Peter Smith; sisters Annie Smith, Florence Thomas, and Victoria Smith; and brother Bill Smith. Surviving are his brother Wilfred Smith; wife Elsie Patrick; children Elizabeth Patrick (Norman), Evelyn Patrick (Alfie), Edward Smith Jr. (Cheryl), and Laura (Lori) Smith; 19 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. COUTURE THOMAS L. "TOM," 74, of St. Pete Beach, died Sunday (April 3, 2005) at Palms of Pasadena Hospital, South Pasadena. He was born in North Bay, Ontario, and came to the beach area in 1957 from Ottawa, where he attended the University of Ottawa. For 27 years he worked in sales for Dew Cadillac in St. Petersburg. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, St. Pete Beach, where he was a eucharistic minister and homebound eucharistic minister. He volunteered at Daystar and St. Anthony's Hospital and was a member and past president of Civitan International. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane; two daughters, Margaret Ann Test, Jupiter, and Missy McCune, St. Petersburg; two sons, David P., Chesapeake, Va., and John F., Palm Harbor; a sister, Margaret Kelly, Ottawa; two brothers, Gerald, Ottawa, and Michael, Sri Lanka; and six grandchildren. MARQUIS, Walter W., passed away Friday, April 1, 2005 at the age of 93 in Lady Lake, Fla. After leaving Miami, Walter and his late wife, Catherine lived in Lake Placid form July of 1981 to October of 1996. They attended and were active in the Memorial United Methodist Church, Lake Placid. They purchased a small orange grove, which gave them great pleasure and often stated they were farmers at heart. Walter retired from the real estate business in Miami and before that was in the Navy during World War II. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Britton; niece, Margie Ross, both of Waynesville, N.C.; nephews, Ted Britton of Sunrise, Fla., and Robert Britton of The Woodlands, Texas; and stepson, Wayne Williams of Orlando, Fla. A graveside funeral service will be at 12 noon Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Placid, with Rev. Douglas Pareti officiating. Walter loved people and life; his passing is his reward for a good person and soul. She later lived in Granby and moved to Line Street in Southampton in 1973. She moved to Leesburg, Florida in 1999. She was a communicant of Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke. She enjoyed traveling and the casinos. Besides her beloved mother, she leaves her loving husband of 37 years, Donald F. Faucher. Marie "Mary" P. McDonald died following a long illness on Sunday morning, (April 3, 2005) at Haven Health Center in East Hartford. She was the widow of Joseph A. McDonald, who died in 1982. She was born of Theophile and Eliza Fredette in Gardner, MA on November 21, 1914 and was the last surviving child of her family of 13 children. DRACUT -- Joseph H. Gagnon, 84, a Dracut resident for the past 10 years, died yesterday April 4, at the Saints Memorial Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Theresa C. (Sirois) Gagnon, to whom he was married for 59 years.He was born in Lawrence, on June 13, 1920, son of the late Ernest and Lumina (Boucher) Gagnon. He attended St. Anne School and an industrial school in Lawrence.Mr. Gagnon enlisted in the Army during World War II. He served in the 112th Anti Artillery Aircraft Battalion, attaining the rank of corporal. He received two Bronze Stars, the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal.Before his retirement in 1977, Mr. Gagnon was employed as a classified water machinist, for the city of Lawrence for 27 years.Mr. Gagnon was a communicant of St. Francis Church in Dracut.He was a member of the former Holy Name Society in Lawrence for more than 65 years, the VFW Walker Rogers Post 662 in Lowell, the Catholic War Veterans, Dracut Senior Citizens Club and Centralville Senior Citizens Club.Mr. Gagnon also enjoyed gardening and playing cards.Besides his wife, his survivors include a daughter, Anne Marie T. Gagnon of Dracut; a brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Eugene Gagnon of Manchester, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews.He was also the father of Michael Gagnon who was killed during the Vietnam War on Sept. 11, 1974. Edgar R. Gautreau, 78, of Upland passed away peacefully at home April 1, 2005. He was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, December 10, 1926. Ed served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1952. He worked at Convair in San Diego and General Dynamics in Pomona from 1952 to 1987. He graduated from Pepperdine University in 1975 and taught business classes at Chaffey College, Mt. San Antonio College and General Dynamics. He married Marilyn Fildes in San Diego in 1950 and they were planning to celebrate 55 years of marriage in June. They lived in Claremont for 20 years and in Upland for 31 years. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Larry Gautreau and his wife Carolyn of San Bernardino, Sharon Gautreau-Lane and her husband Chuck Lane of Pinon Hills, David Gautreau of Upland; grandc hildren, Chris Gautreau, Lindsey, Travis and Russell Lane, Noelle Gautreau, Jesse Schriek; great-grandson, Brody Gautreau; brother, Lucien Gautreau and his wife Barbara of Cumberland, RI; sister-in-law, Trudy Gingery of San Diego. Ed enjoyed being with friends and family, traveling worldwide, working in his garden and shopping, always looking for the sales! MISSOULA - Lisa Anne LeVesque of Missoula passed away at her home on Thursday, March 31, 2005.She was born to Rene and Carol LeVesque on Sept. 22, 1963, in Missoula.Lisa attended Russell Elementary and Sentinel High School in Missoula, graduating from Sequaro High in Scottsdale, Ariz. She loved music, especially the Beatles, and is remembered as a fantastic cook and talented cake decorator.She took extreme pride in her boys, telling everyone she met of their accomplishments and latest adventures; they were truly the light of her life. GAUTHIER, Vera F. Formerly of Ottawa Peacefully at Bayfield Manor, Kemptville, ON on Saturday, April 2, 2005 in her 102nd year. Born at Kazabazua, Quebec on July 26, 1903, Vera was the last surviving member of the late Jules Gauthier and Elizabeth Stewart family. Dear aunt of Arthur L. Torrie (Viola), Joan Thibault, Gail, Gary, Greg and Gerry Gauthier. Also survived by many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers Edgar, Harry and Gerald (Ted), and five sisters, Jessie Poaps, Cecelia Ellard, Grace Davis, Elsie Brown and Evelyn Torrie. Miss Gauthier was a former secretary of the Conservative Party in Ottawa South and was a life member of the Rebekah Lodge for over 50 years. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Friday, April 8 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, April 9 at 11:30 a.m. Interment Trinity United Church Cemetery, Kazabazua. NURMI, Dolly (nee Ribotti) In loving memory of Dolly Nurmi (nee Ribotti), 87 years of Sudbury who passed away Monday morning, April 4th, 2005 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. She was born in Minnesota and married Wm "Bill" Nurmi Sr. in Sudbury in 1939. Dolly came to the Sudbury area as a young child. She was a well liked & respected woman who embraced life. She had been a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Caruso Club and the Golden Age Club. She had been a member of the Lionette Club of Sudbury. She was an avid gardener and excellent cook. Always the gracious & welcoming host. She enjoyed entertaining people at her home. She and her husband Bill supported and attended many functions & festivities always being the first to arrive and the last to leave. A real people person Dolly always was inclusive and respected of others. The focus of her love was her loving family in whom she took great pride and interest. She embodied and defined unconditional love as family member and friend. Beloved wife of Wm "Bill" Nurmi Sr. predeceased 1999. Loving mother of Betty Whitmore (friend Gerry Leuschen) and Bill Jr. (wife Pat) both of Sudbury. FAUCHER, SYLVIO E., 77, a winter resident of Clearwater, died Friday (April 1, 2005) at Comprehensive Healthcare at Clearwater. He was born in Quebec and came here seasonally since 1991 from Manchester, N.H. He was a carpenter.
