Loving father of Ronald of London, Floyd (Angele Menard) of Sudbury and Carol Anne MacDonald (Jamie) of Elliot Lake. Dear grandfather of Megan, Shauna, Dominick, Nathan, Claudia, Natalya, Kellea and Ashton. AUBURN— Anita Evelyn (Labrie) Usher, 84, of 2703 Forest Park Drive, a homemaker and 50 year resident of Auburn, died Monday in Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness. Her husband Daniel Love Usher died in 1984. She leaves her beloved family; Carol Ann, and her husband, Kenneth Hamilton, Anita Janet, and her husband David Powell, all of Auburn, her adoring grandchildren; Paul W., Brian D. and David K. Hamilton, Deborah M. Bonzey, and Amy L. Celona, and 13 great grandchildren. Other members of her family include; Elinor and her husband, Edward Flamand, of Northbridge, and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers Lawrence, Wilfred, and Henry Labrie all predeceased her. She was born in South Grafton, daughter of the late Henry J. and Anita (St. Onge) Labrie. She graduated from Grafton High School and attended the former Girls' Trade School in Worcester for dressmaking. Mrs. Usher was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was a talented seamstress; she loved arts and crafts, and traveled extensively. She was a member of North American Martyrs Church, and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 5-8 Wednesday in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. McMahon, 66, of Rutland Town, died early Monday morning, April 4, 2005, at Mountain View Center.S he was born in Rutland on December 18, 1938, the daughter of Robert and Genevieve (LaBelle) LaFlamme.Mrs. McMahon was a 1956 graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy.She was owner and operator of Miss Jackie's Studio of Dance for 50 years.Jackie was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and the Dance Educators of America."Miss Jackie" was known to everyone for the past 50 years as the "icon" of dance teachers. Many students, young and old, have had the privilege of studying the art of dance with her. Miss Jackie's motto was, "Through the beauty of dance, children learn an art they will cherish through life."Although dance was an important part of her life, her family meant everything to her. She was loved and revered by all.Surviving are her husband, Charles H. McMahon; two daughters, Jennifer M. Garrow and her husband, G.J., and Melissa A. Jeanne (Morency) Poncelet, 92, of Manchester, formerly of New Bedford, MA, widow of Alfred P. Poncelet passed away peacefully Sunday, (April 3, 2005) at a local convalescent home. She was born February 11, 1913, in New Bedford, MA daughter of the late Leonce and Alice (Surprenant) Morency and had been a lifelong resident until moving to Manchester in 1994. Prior to retirement she was owner of Jeanne's Variety Store in New Bedford. Mrs. Poncelet was a communicant of Church of the Assumption in Manchester and a former communicant of St. Mary's Church in New Bedford. She was also a member of the Royal Traveler's in New Bedford. Mrs. Poncelet loved to cook and entertain and she was an avid seamstress. The Poncelet family would like to thank the staff at Crestfield Rehabilitation Center for their kind and compassionate care. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Romeo Dube of Manchester; two grandchildren, Ronald Dube of Manchester and Deborah Cate and her husband, Gregory of Manchester; two great grandsons, Jeffrey and Timothy Cate; three sisters, Rita Robitaille of New Bedford, Annette Robitaille of East Hartford and Ida Sullivan of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews. Mary Eva Lipton 1900 - 2005 TRURO, NS - Mary Eva (Andrea) Lipton, died at the age of 105, Saturday, March 26, 2005. Eva enjoyed travelling and playing harmonica, organ and piano. Eva's zest for life and people was highly regarded. She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Vonnie, Tiny, Marguerite, Joan, Marilyn; sons, Tony, Johnny, Mickey, Peter and Cyril "Cy" (Stella), Riverview, NB. Eva has 68 grandchildren, Michael (Jeanne), Moncton, NB, 139 great grandchildren and 44 great great grandchildren. SICARD, GRACE BALDWIN "IRENE" A retired licensed practical nurse for more than 35 years at Plaquemine Sanitarium & Woman's Hospital and a resident of Plaquemine, she died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at her daughter's home in Dickson, Tenn. She was 80 and a native of West Point, Texas. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 4, and after 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 5. VAN BUREN - Clifford Berube, 74, died April 1, 2005, at a Van Buren health facility. He was born June 16, 1930, in Fort Kent, the son of Leo and Elise (Guimond) Berube. He was a member of the National Guard of Millinocket. He is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Joan Pelletier of St. Agatha; three grandchildren, Tiania, Kile and Dustin; two sisters, Bernice and Frank Jalbert of New Canada; and Joan Butrano of Auburn. He was predeceased by his first wife, Priscille Theriault; and his second wife, Velma Daigle. There will be no calling hours. BARNARD, Damaris Elsie (Leck) (nee Holditch) In loving memory of Damaris Elsie (Leck) Barnard (nee Holditch), 87 years who passed away peacefully, Friday evening, April 1st, 2005 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Her years of service to God, family, and others now over, Mom was promoted to heaven late Friday evening, April 1st, 2005 in her 88th year. The 'Roll was called up yonder' and she is now there, free from the pain of her illness and resting in that beautiful place. Mom's life revolved around her three priorities: God, her family and her fellow-believers at her church of attendance, the Larchwwod Bible Chapel and the Sudbury Bible Fellowship. She was a presence that was felt when she was near and everyone will miss her - from her family to her friends and her mere acquaintences. Born in Sudbury on May the 17th, 1917 in her parents stone house on the then Copper Cliff Road, she was raised in that area, attending the Lansdowne Public School and Elm Street Public School, commuting by the street car. After attending the Sudbury Business College, she helped her father with his business ventures. In 1938 she married her first love, Harold Leck. She did the bookkeeping for the Harold Leck Construction Company. She volunteered for the Sudbury Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, working in the gift shop for over 35 years. She was an active member of the Gideons for over 50 years. She also enjoyed playing the piano and organ at the different churches, the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, some of the Nursing homes and also just to entertain her grandchildren and friends. Harold was tragically taken in 1961 and she remained a widow for more than 14 years. She then met and fell in love with her second love, Merle Barnard. They lived happily together for another 13 years until Merle passed away in 1988. She remained a widow for the rest of her life. She drove a car since the age of sixteen and insisted on driving, maintaining her competency right into her 88th year. Beloved wife of Harold Leck predeceased 1961 and of Merle Barnard predeceased 1988. Loving mother of Mel Leck (wife Carol) and Shirley Kuz (husband Herb) both of Sudbury. Forever remembered by her grandchildren; James Kuz, Derryl Kuz (friend Karin) and Jason Kuz all of Toronto, Norma Amero (husband Lennis) of Sudbury, Harold Leck (wife Victoria) of Tilsonburg, Marty Leck of Sudbury, Ted Leck (wife Donna) of Hamilton and by her great grandchildren; Alexander, Marcus, Alyssa, James, Charlotte, Naomi, Hannah, Jillian, Meghan, Rachel and Brianna. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Mary Jane (nee Miller) Holditch and by her three brothers Logan Holditch (wife Helmi of Toronto), Dean Holditch and Walter Holditch (wife Pearl of Sudbury. Jane (Caisse) Riccio, 92, of Willimantic, beloved wife of the late Leonard Riccio, died, Saturday, (April 2, 2005) at St. Joseph Living Center, Windham. She was born November 19, 1912 in Willimantic and was the daughter of the late Lewis and Helen (Rivard) Caisse. Jane was president for 12 years of the Jackson Street Senior Citizens in Willimantic and also sponsored many trips to Wildwood, NJ. She was predeceased by a son, Leonard Riccio, Jr. and is survived by a son John Riccio and his wife, Marie, two daughters, Elizabeth Czapla and her husband, Walter and Marie Tardie and her husband, Frank, a brother, Edward Caisse of Florida and a sister-in-law, Ellen Riccio of Florida, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Tuesday, 10 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, South Windsor. SPRINGFIELD - Bessie A. (Dennis) Tessier, 80, of Indian Orchard, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2005 in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield. Born in Ludlow and a life long resident of Indian Orchard, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bessie (Blaine) Dennis. Bessie was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Jude Church of Indian Orchard and was a member of the parish Ladies of St. Anne Society and the Daughters of Isabella, Magna Circle, of Indian Orchard. Bessie is survived by her husband, Cyril O. Tessier; and a daughter, Annette MacAdams and husband Richard of North Attleboro. She was predeceased by two sons; Paul R. Tessier in 1960; Robert E. Tessier in 1971 and by a brother, Robert Dennis in 1986. The funeral will be Wednesday morning from the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 8 a. m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard. Sutton – Lorraine A. (Larocque) Fontaine, 71, of 4 Jones Rd. died on Saturday April 2 in St. Vincent Hospital. Mrs. Fontaine is survived by her husband of 33 years Robert J. Fontaine, and 17 nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three brothers Wallace “Benny” Larocque, Edward Larocque, Andre Larocque Jr., and a sister Dorothy Morris. Mrs. Fontaine was born in Worcester daughter of Andre and Lillian (Bergeron) Larocque and was a wonderful Aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. She worked at the former State Mutual Company for over 30 years retiring in 1988. Mrs. Fontaine was a member of St. Anne Church in Manchaug and enjoyed candlepin bowling, playing cards, traveling, and square dancing with the Sutton Squares. The funeral will be held on Wednesday April 6 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. Worcester with a mass at 10 AM in St. Anne Church 29 Main St. Manchaug. George Eugene Masse of Woonsocket, R.I., a weaver at the Worcester Textile Co., died Thursday at Landmark Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was 64. Born in Woonsocket, he was educated in the city and remained a lifelong resident. He was employed as a weaver for the Worcester Textile Co. in Worcester until becoming disabled in 1985. Mr. Masse is survived by his wife of 25 years, Muriel Yvette (Gravel); two sons, Marc of Pascoag, R.I., and Anthony McDonald of Blackstone; one sister, Gloria Belanger of Bellingham; two brothers, Danny of Pascoag, R.I., and William of Smithfield, R.I.; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Alma Stewart LeBlanc, 94, of Vidor passed away April 2, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital. A native of Ballinger, Texas, she was a resident of the area for seventy-five years. Strong willed in her own beliefs, Alma enjoyed her family, cooking, and gardening. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Isbell Lavergne and her husband George, Sr. of Vidor; brother, James Stewart and his wife Faye of Belton; grandchildren, George Lavergne, Jr. and his wife Jay, Cathy Wilson and her husband John, and Donald Lavergne and his wife Susan all of Vidor; seven great grandchildren, Jeff, Megan, and Bethany Wilson, Randall and Marc Lavergne, and Ryan and Nicole Lavergne all of Vidor; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husbands, John Lee Isbell and Leon LeBlanc both preceded her in death.
