MISSOULA - Hilda Allen-Cote, 85, of Missoula, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at Community Medical Center of natural causes.She was born March 28, 1919, in Taylor, N.D., to Peter and Lulu Stocke. She had two wonderful marriages. She married Francis "Smokey" Allen in 1938; they were married 43 years until his death. They had three children, Robert, Patricia and Frank. She was also married 15 years to Alex Cote until his death.She worked for the Florence Cleaners and The Mode O Day. She then worked 10 years for the Missoula school district, where the children loved her.She was an active member of the Moose Lodge. She loved to spend her weekends camping. She was an avid poker, bingo and Scrabble player. She enjoyed word and number puzzles. She was also active in the Catholic Church. She possessed great wisdom and a wonderful sense of humor. She had a special creative talent where she would create art from a sow's ear. Her laughter was contagious. She was young at heart and spirit. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.Survivors include two children, Robert and Patricia of Missoula; two brothers, Bill and Ralph; 11 grandchildren, Robin, Scott, Frank Jr., David, Michelle, Robert Jr., Ed, Terri, Jeff, Chris, Patrick and Liz; and 15 great-grandchildren.Catholic services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 31, at Garden City Funeral Home with Fr. Matthew Huber officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, with a family scripture service starting at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

JORDAN, KATHLEEN IDA Kathleen I. (Kelly) Jordan of Lower Queensbury passed away March 29, 2005 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in 1905, she was a daughter of the late Bedford and Mary (Goodine) Kelly. Kathleen was a member of the Bear Island United Church. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, sewing, playing 45's and spending time with family and friends. Kathleen is survived by one son, Melvin Jordan, Lower Queensbury; two daughters, Phyllis Allen, Fredericton and Greta Clark (Kenneth), Rothesay; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Smith Jordan, five sisters, Vivian, Vera, Nellie, Muriel and Letha, nine brothers, Harry, James, Leonard, Chesley, Rainsford, Aulden, Cecil, Glenwood and Earl Kelly and a grandson, Andrew Allen. Although there will be no visiting hours, friends are welcome to attend a funeral service to be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Norman Whitney officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Mactaquac Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Clark, Paul Clark, Brian Kelly, Steve Stairs, Washburn Storey and Dave Foster. EDITH IRENE OGDEN Edith Irene Ogden, 89, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances. She was born Feb. 17, 1916 in Emo, Ont. to the late John and Susan McEachern. Edith had lived all her life in Rainy River District. After her marriage, she lived in Aylsworth Township until later moving to Fort Frances. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fort Frances until the church’s closure in September, 2004. Edith is survived by her children, Don (Cathy) Ogden, Ken (Florence) Ogden, Sharon (Paul) Wilhelm, and Barbara (Roy) Avis. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Colleen (Nick) Chubenko, Brian (Debbie) Ogden, Brad (Camille) Wilhelm, Paula (Andre) Goulah, Bob Ogden (Susan), Kendra Ogden (Mike), Kimberly Avis, and Chad (Lynne) Avis; great-grandchildren, Larissa and Julianna Chubenko, Mykayla Loutchan, Connor and Samantha Wilhelm, Brianne and Jared Ogden, Danielle and William Goulah, and Peyton Avis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was united in marriage to Woodbury “Woody” Ogden, who predeceased her on Aug. 6, 1988. She also was predeceased by her brothers, Rodney, Elmer, Harvey, and Don McEachern; sister, Verna Morphet; and grandson, Brent Ogden. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 1 p.m. at Knox United Church in Fort Frances. Rev. Marietta Marshall officiated, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances. Pallbearers were Terry Ogden, Stancey Ogden, Gary Ogden, Bob Ogden, Chad Avis, and Brad Wilhelm. The honourary pallbearers were Claude McFarland, Bob Lidkea, Dave Hughes, Bruce Lidkea, Cliff Larry, and Jim Newman. RONALD MacDONALD Peacefully, at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, Ont., Ronald Collin MacDonald, of Owen Sound, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005 in his 61st year. Dearly beloved son of George and Dorothy MacDonald of Wiarton, Ont., and Peggy Algate of Hamilton, Ont.; and loving father of one daughter, Renee MacDonald, and one son, Chris MacDonald, both of Toronto, Ont. Proud grandpa of Brandon MacDonald of Toronto, Ont.; and dear brother of Gordon MacDonald of Chilliwack, B.C., Carol of London, Ont., Kim and Dave Schaefer of Kitchener, Ont., Karen and Jim Robertson of Owen Sound, Ont., and Lorraine of Hamilton, Ont. He is fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Cara and Ed Belbeck, Jenny Robertson, and Sharon and Jamie MacDonald. Bouley, Irving J. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille, Lafayette, for Irving J. Bouley. He died Monday, March 28, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. He was 66. The family requested visiting from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, with a rosary prayed at 7 p.m. in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home. Visiting at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service Wednesday. The Rev. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley, will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral service. Interment in Fountain Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Bouley, of Lafayette; three daughters, Celina Rogers and her husband, Darrell, of Alexandria, Robin Elliott and her husband, Richard, of Duson, and Rhonda Venable and her husband, Ronnie, of Milton; a son, Randy Bouley and his wife, Carla, of Zachary; nine grandchildren, Clint and Todd Rogers, Mindy, Kacey and Reneé Elliott, Dusty and Hunter Venable and Randyl and Morgan Bouley; a great-grandchild, Draven Rogers; and three sisters, Vidie Hambrick, of Venice, Gertie Thibodeaux of Gueydan and Youlende Janise of Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don Louis and Amanda Dupuis Bouley. A native of Jennings and a resident of Lafayette for 40 years, Irv was well known for his award-winning stumpy bayou jigs. He was a member of the St. Jules Catholic community and the St. Jules Knights of Columbus. Mr. Bouley loved entertaining with his accordion, playing Cajun music, and was recognized by the state of Louisiana for promoting Cajun music and culture. He was known for his personality and sense of humor, and his passion was spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Bouley will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Pallbearers will be Dusty Venable, Clint Rogers, Darrell Rogers, Ronnie Venable, Henry McFarlain and Richard Elliott. Honorary pallbearers are Pfc. Todd Rogers and Randy Bouley. FAIRFIELD CENTER - Richard J. Parent, 59, died March 28, 2005. He was born Feb. 23, 1946, in Limestone, the son of Alfred and Emma (St. Pierre) Parent. Richard attended schools in Limestone and graduated from Hartland Academy. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard. He was employed as a Union Carpenter and Millwright in various locations throughout his working career. Richard's passion was woodworking. He made many projects for family members and also for sale. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and anything outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by seven brothers and four sisters. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Pearl (Belmain) Parent; his daughter, Michelle Parent and her companion, Brian Logan, of Oakland; a brother, Alfred Parent of Rockford, Ill.; three sisters, Bea Butler of Limestone, Christine Lewis of Hartland, and Diane Pistel of Windsor, Conn.; two grandchildren, Ryan and Mackenzie Logan of Oakland; many nieces and nephews. Stanley George (Harvey ) Harper 1919 - 2005 Stanley George (Harvey) Harper passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at the age of 85 years. Stanley Served in the Royal Air Force from 1939 to 1945 - in Italy, France and N. Africa. He came to Canada in 1957. He retired in 1982 after 22 years with the City of Moncton serving variously as Cost Accountant, BudgetOfficer and Internal Auditor. Stanley wished to be remembered as a man of sincerity with deep senses of independence and honesty. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; and his daughter, Anne Harper (Chris) of Boudreau West, NB; his grandson, Gordon MacDonald (Shelley) of Boudreau West, NB and two special great grandchildren, Maddison and Mekenzie and one niece and nephew of Essex, England. He was predeceased by his sister, Winifred of Essex, England. There will be no visitation at Stanley's request. A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in the spring. CARIBOU - Joseph Lindy Corriveau, 77, died March 28, 2005, at Caribou. He was born Feb. 23, 1928, in Fort Kent, the son of Baptiste and Julia (Raymond) Corriveau. Mr. Corriveau served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was employed by Millers Department Store in Caribou for many years. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He married Eldora (Dow) Corriveau Sept. 18, 1953. Surviving in addition to his wife of over 51 years, Eldora of Caribou, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew and Sheri Corriveau of Chelsea, and Timothy and Laurie Corriveau, of Presque Isle; four daughters and two sons-in- law, Bonnie and Galen Sanfacon of Caribou, Valarie Corriveau of Searsmont, Cindy and Keith Miller of Newburg, and Ellie Corriveau and her fianc?, Troy Lagasse, of Caribou; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Frances Langley of Caribou, Florence Newbegin of Berlin, Pa., and Shirley and Bruce Landford of Morrow, Ga.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; three special friends, Pearl, Penny, and Wanda. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2005, from the Chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with the Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, officiating. Ruth A. LaRose, 77, was pronounced dead of natural causes March 6 at 1:30 p.m. in her residence in Marion Township.Her husband, John H. LaRose, died March 30, 2000.Born in Tulpehocken Township, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Annie (Kurtz) Clay.LaRose was employed for more than 20 years as a machine operator by the Publix Shirt Factory, Myerstown, until her retirement.She was a member of St. John's Church, Mount Aetna.Surviving is a son, John H. Jr., Lock Haven, Clinton County.Other survivors include two brothers, Charles Clay, Marion Township, and Rufus Clay, Lebanon.There are also two grandsons.Memorial services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. John's Church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The Hetrick Funeral Home, Womelsdorf, is in charge of arrangements.

VANDER ZWAAG, Willemina (Minnie) - After a brief illness the Lord called Minnie home on March 28, 2005. She went home peacefully, surrounded by her family, after 87 years of service, to her Saviour. She, her husband Louw and two children immigrated to Canada in 1951 and dairy farmed in Indian River until 1978. She was a lifelong member of Cephas Christian Reformed Church and dedicated her life to the service of the Church. She loved and befriended all people. Her family rejoices and celebrates her life. Viriato Nogueira Carvalho On March 27, 2004 Viriato Carvalho surrounded by his family and loved ones, passed away peacefully at his home in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Viriato is survived by his loving wife Sergia, three adoring sons and their wives, Paulo (Graciana) Carlos (Ilda) and Miguel (Melanie). He also leaves to mourn his passing his brother Rogério Carvalho, nephews and nieces Viriato, Anibal, Mimi, Bruno and Sara. Viriato, is predeceased by his parents and younger siblings Manuel and Helen Carvalho. Viriato or “Vic” as his close friends and family called him, was born in Amarante Portugal to Manuel and Helena Carvalho. In 1969, Vic met, dated and married a nurse called Sergia Rodrigues while working in the Azores on a construction project. Sergia and Vic started their family with Paulo and Carlos while living and working in Portugal. In 1974 Viriato and Sergia immigrated to Canada to start a new life with their family adding another son, Miguel, born in Winnipeg Canada. The happy family grew, learned and prospered together sharing many happy moments in this new life full of opportunity and hope. Vic was a man who had three passions in life, spending time with family, traveling and soccer. He worked hard to allow his family to travel with him, and visited his beloved Amarante several times with family and friends. His profession allowed him to travel across Canada, which he enjoyed immensely. He was an avid reader of his beloved Soccer papers keeping track of his favourite team – F.C. Porto - during their ups and downs in Portuguese premier league. He cherished his weekends with his family taking them on camping or road trips and could also be counted to be the Chef when it was time to fire up the barbeque. Viriato will be sorely missed by his family, he was a kind, gentle man, loved by many in the local community and Portugal. He was taken from us too soon, rest in peace, we love you. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gary Harding, Dr. Sissler, Dr. Czaykowski and all the nursing staff at GD4 at the Health Sciences Center. A special thanks also goes out to father Dr. Joao Brito of the Fundacao Ecoserves in Pe De Cao Portugal for his kindness in caring for my dad during his last month of his life. God bless you and the work you do for others. GARTNER, Godfrey. On Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005, in his eighty-second year, he passed away peacefully. He is survived by his beloved wife Lonni (Wernicke), his three children: John (Loretta) of Winnipeg, Katherine (Paul) of Halifax and Rosemarie (Gerry) of Montreal. He will be greatly missed by his six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Aaron-John, Rosemarie, Stephanie, Rachel, and Allison, great-grandchild, Keana, his relatives and friends in both Montreal and Florida. Special thanks to all the staff of the ICU at the Montreal General Hospital for their care and compassion. A private memorial service was held at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex on March 30.
