Elle laisse dans le deuil sa soeur Anita (Denis Malette), ses frères Roméo (Anita Doré), Lucien (Denyse Ouellet), sa belle-soeur Laurette Bertrand, sa belle-fille Ghislaine Isabelle (Nicolas Marienatos), son beau-fils Jean Isabelle, ses neveux et nièces,ainsi que plusieurs parents et amis. La famille tient à remercier tout le personnel du Manoir Rossignol à Laval, où Germaine a séjourné ces derniers mois, pour la qualité des soins prodigués, leur dévouement et l'amour qui lui ont témoigné. Elle remercie aussi toute l'équipe de la Résidence l'Oasis de Laval, qui a aussi témoigné beaucoup d'attentions et de tendresse au cours des dernières années et un merci spécial à sa filleule Lucie Bertrand pour son grand dévouement tout au long de sa maladie.

CHAMBERLAIN, Ania Mary, After a life of caring for others, Ania passed away suddenly in her home January 29th, 2005. Ania was born on June 16th, 1948 in England, where her loving and devoted mother and father, Wanda and Joseph Czerechowicz, had fled from their home in Poland during World War II. With Ania and her older brother Adam, the family arrived in Halifax in 1951 to start a new life, settling in the Parkdale area of Toronto and then moving to the suburb of Etobicoke in 1957, an almost ru ral area, where she spent her carefree high school years. In Canada Ania excelled at school, especially loving the Arts. She attended Vincent Massey Collegiate Institute, the University of Manitoba and Brock University. Her love of learning, instille d in her by her father, lasted her entire life. Having met and married her first husband Stephen Chamberlain, together they had two children. Later Ania returned to school and graduated as a registered nurse at the Mack Nursing Education Center in 19 85. Ania will be fondly remembered by her patients and their families for 20 years of nursing at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, and later at the St. Catharines General Hospital, where she specialized as a Palliative Care/Oncology nurse. She was a founding member of the Palliative Care Unit, offering love and dignity to her patients in their final hour and to their loved ones. She was a very positive, uplifting person who treated people as though they were all part of her family. Her home was always wa rm and inviting and this was where she most enjoyed drawing people together for parties with dancing, singing and much laughter. Ania shared her passion for parties, adventure, politics, reading and travel with the love of her life and best friend, t he late James Nicks. Together they embraced life as kindred souls. Ania is survived by her beloved mother Wanda Czerechowicz and her adoring children, Adam Chamberlain and fiancee Louise Fairbairn and Larissa and David Osborne; her loving brother Ada m, to whom she always looked up to, as well as her nephews Lee and Shane, whom she loved dearly. Nana Ania will forever be the Guardian Angel of her two granddaughters Wynona and Veronika. Ania will be deeply missed by her dear friend Jim Fraser and long time close friends John and Anita Dell and Brenda and Al O'Brien, as well as many others. Her family and friends will forever hold her in their hearts and souls. Everyone who knew Ania recognized her generous and loving spirit. She will be sorel y missed by her colleagues, peers and co-workers, particularly Bernie McCormack, who has been a wonderful help to the family in this time of sorrow and remembrance. ROSS, Peter With deepest sadness, the family of Peter Ross of London, formerly of Sarnia and Ottawa, announces his passing on January 30, 2005, at the age of 63, after a short courageous battle with cancer. His family was at his side. Peter was the beloved husband of Sharon Ross (nee Hunt), loving father of Kim, fun-loving grandfather of her children, Jake and David, and father and best friend of Curtis and his family, Rose, Marcus and Dylan. Peter also leaves behind his dear sister Sue, brother-in-law Doug, niece Keri-Anne, nephew Chris and his wife and children, and cherished west coast family. SCOTT, Herbert Kenneth Unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, Herbert Kenneth Scott lost his valiant fight and now rests with his beloved wife Jean. Richard was a driver for Pawtuxet Valley Bus Line for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve for six years, from 1957-1963, serving aboard the USS Forrest Royal. Richard was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union. A dedicated train enthusiast, Richard was a member of the Mystic Valley Railway Society and he traveled by train throughout most of America. Annette D. Therrien -- June 27, 1904 - February 2, 2005 -- BALTIC - Annette D. Therrien, 100, of 178 High St. died early Wednesday morning at the Norwichtown Rehab. & Care Center. She was born in St. Theodore d'Acton, Canada on June 27, 1904 the daughter of the late Esdras and Helene (Leclerc) Daigneault. Mrs Therrien was employed for a number of years as a spinner at local textile mills before retiring many years ago. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Baltic. On June 25, 1928 she married Romeo Therrien in Sacred Heart Church Taftville who died on June 24, 1990. Survivors include one daughter, Jeannine Guillot and her husband Gerard of Baltic. One grandson, Thomas R. Guillot and his wife Darlene of Baltic. One great granddaughter, Marisa A. Stankiewicz and her husband Michael of Oakdale, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Eugene Therrien and five sisters and five brothers. LORRIN, ADRIAN RAYMOND, 82 years young (11/30/22 - 1/30/05), Ray passed away on January 30th. He was born in Corona, New York to Camille and Madeleine Lorrin. Ray served in World War II as a technical sergeant in the Air Force stationed in France. Upon returning from the service he worked at the United Nations in New York for seven years where he met his beloved wife of 57 years, Marjorie. In 1953, the family moved to Miami where he owned a real estate company and later retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; and his two daughters: Diane Ross and Barbara Kuhl (and husband Rick with two sons: Matthew and Ryan); and his sister, Helen Remelius. He was beloved by his family and all who knew him for his generous soul and willingness to always take the time to help others. DRACUT - Albert J. "Pete" Rene, 79, a resident of Dracut and a former employee at a Lowell company, died yesterday morning, Feb. 2, at his home. He was the husband of the late Doris E. (Roy) Rene.He was born in Lowell on July 15, 1925, son of the late Albert J. and Helen M. (Morin) Rene.Prior to his retirement, Mr. Rene was employed by the Pellon Corp. of Lowell. He was a communicant of Ste. Therese Church in Dracut.Mr. Rene was a member of the Dracut Senior Citizens Club and the C.C.A. Club.Mr. Rene is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Helen Dufault and her husband Leonard of Pelham; two grandsons and their wives, Daniel and Deborah (Berard) Dufault of Windham, N.H., and Edward and Renee (Muise) Dufault of Lowell; four great-grandchildren, Andrea and Brandon Dufault of Windham, N.H., and Adam and Abigail Dufault of Lowell.He was also the brother of the late Irene Rene of Lowell. Florence A. (Allard) Johnson, 94, of Fairfax, Va., died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005. She was born in Isanti, Minn., on Jan. 10, 1911. She was a longtime resident of Duluth and moved to Fairfax, Va., to be with her daughter six years ago. She worked as a private caterer, as the first cook for the St. Mary Hospital's coffee shop and as the cook for the Duluth Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl B. Allard; her second husband, Hilbert Johnson; two sisters; and four brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Schell of Fairfax, Va.; two step sons, Bud Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Stephen Johnson of Minneapolis; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; and three sisters. Melba L. Trahan, 77, of Sour Lake, went to be with her Lord, Monday, January 31, 2005. Graveside Service will be Friday, February 4, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake. A gathering of family and friends will be today, Thursday, February 3, 2005 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Broussard's 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas. A native of Yoakum, Texas she lived in Sour Lake for 54 years and was a homemaker. Mrs. Trahan enjoyed reading, embroidery and quilt making. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Sour Lake. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of more than 60 years L.R. "Rock" Trahan. She is survived by daughter: Rebecca Trahan Murrell of Sour Lake; grandchildren: Louis "Stoney" Murrell and Mykal Murrell both of Sour Lake; great granddaughter: Justine Renee Murrell of Sour Lake; sister: Doris Varley of Big Springs, Texas and brother: Raymond Squyres of Beaumont and many nieces and nephews.
