MEXICO - Larry J. Giasson, 44, died Sunday, Jan. 30, at his residence on Intervale Avenue in Mexico.He was born in Rumford, on May 12, 1960, a son of Edmund and Norma (Flaherty) Giasson, and attended Mexico schools.He worked as a handyman and at the Mexico Car Wash, and was a Communicant of St. Theresa Church. He loved his pets, especially his dog ,"Madame." He had many friends and was always willing to help others.Survivors include two sisters, Barbara Giasson of Rumford, and Susan Olsen and husband, John, of Mexico; two brothers, Michael and Edmund Giasson II of Rumford; a sister-in-law, Crystal Giasson of Peru; and many nieces and nephews.

Mcquaig, Ronald LA FAMILLE MCQUAIG a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de RONALD WESLEY MCQUAIG de Buckingham décédé paisiblement entouré de sa famille après une brave lutte contre le cancer, le dimanche 30 janvier 2005 à l'âge de 54 ans. Ron était le fils bien aimé de Sadie (Bigelow-Mcquaig) Carson. Il fut prédécédé par son père Wesley et son beau père Normand Carson. Il sera regretté également par ses enfants: Shawn (Mélanie Sanscartier) et Érik (Marirose Bartolome); son ex-épouse et son amie Fran Butler. Il laisse également ses soeurs et ses frères: Paulette (John Savoie) Linda (Henry Hill), Rick (Wendy), Rita Mcquaig-Worth (Sean Quinn) et Weslay (Dee Dear); 1 demi-soeur, Norma Jean (Brian Wideman); 2 demi-frères: Elwin Carson (Sharon) et Tim Carson (Debbie Knox). Prédécédé également par une demi-soeur, Marlaine (Sherman Sparling). Il laisse également plusieurs oncles, tantes, cousins, cousines, neveux, nièces et amis qui auront également le coeur brisé. Ron était un homme aimant avec un grand coeur fort. Chaleureux et de nature généreuse, il était dévoué à sa famille et à ses amis, leurs besoins passaient toujours avant les siens. Il a été aimé d'un profond amour et il nous manques. Un merci spécial au personnel du 6e étage du CHVO de Gatineau, tout spécialement les infirmières Brigitte et Josée qui lui ont allégé ses derniers moments. Des dons en sa mémoire pourront être fait à la société canadienne du cancer. Pour honorer sa mémoire, parents et amis sont invités à se rendre à la maison funéraire Brunet, 115 Maclaren Est, Buckingham, mercredi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et jeudi à compté de 10h, suivra à 14h à la maison funéraire une cérémonie en sa mémoire. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Leo C. LaBauve, the former Evelyn Marin, 80, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peters Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Langlois and Rev. Jude Halphen officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.Visiting hours will be observed today from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Evangeline Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Wednesday at 9 a.m. until time of service.A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. LaBauve died at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at her residence surrounded by family and friends.Mrs. LaBauve was a 1941 graduate of Mt. Carmel Academy. She briefly worked as a nurse at Dauterive hospital and in clerical at the shipyards in Morgan City during the war. She spent the next 51 years with Red Fox Co. in New Iberia and retired as the office manager.Evelyn was a devout catholic and lifelong member of St. Peters Catholic Church where she served in many capacities. She was a Eucharistic Minister for mass and to the infirm, sacristan, CCD teacher and member of the St. Ann Altar Society. She was also a volunteer with the St. Francis Diner and Arc of Iberia. Evelyn's generosity and kind spirit will forever be remembered. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.She is survived by her brother, Rufus Marin Jr. and wife Helen Dronet Marin of New Iberia; a sister, Lily Marin Carlson of Morse and many nieces and nephews.Mrs. LaBauve was preceded in death by her husband, Leo C. Anne Beaudoin July 1, 1927 - January 30, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home We grieve at the loss of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Anne Beaudoin, who passed on to a better and kinder world on January 30, 2005. She is at rest in the care of God. Anne will be deeply missed by her husband Sid; daughter Linda (Larry), granddaughters Nicolle and Andrea; son Daniel (Terri), grandson Christopher and granddaughter Alisha; son Barry, granddaughters Wendy, Katrina and Rebecca; and by her brother William. Anne was predeceased by her parents, Nykyfor and Paranka Ryback; her son Paul Richard; sister Mary; and brother Nicolas. Anne was born in Fort Garry on July 11, 1927. Her parents were market gardeners and Anne frequently worked alongside them, helping in their daily work. Anne seldom started a new school year at the same time as her friends as her help was needed to bring in the fall crops. This earned Anne the affectionate nickname of “Spud” amongst her school friends. Never-the-less, Anne developed a love of gardening that would remain with her throughout her life. In 1944, Anne took employment with the Department of National Defense in Ottawa. She was working as a cipher clerk at Naval Headquarters in Ottawa when she met Sid in the fall of 1946. Two years later, on September 18, 1948 they were married in the chapel at RCAF Station Rockcliffe. After 27 years and many postings throughout Canada, they settled in Winnipeg in 1975. With the family grown up, Anne went back to work with the DND and was employed as secretary to the CFB Winnipeg BSecO for 10 years. Anne enjoyed many diverse interests. She loved gardening, fishing, the cottage, knitting, bowling, cooking, her soaps, casino trips with the ANAF 283 Over 60 Club, and especially doing things for her children and grandchildren. She was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother, always ready with a smile, a kind word or a helping hand. She had a special place in her heart for her constant companion, Lady. Anne’s life will be celebrated at a private family funeral service. Flowers are gratefully declined. HENDERSON, Keith Passed away on January 28, 2005 in his 89th year. He slipped away from his loved ones on earth to join his beloved Saviour who he served faithfully. His wife Mae rejoices that she shared nearly 66 years of marriage with Keith. His seven children, Evelyn, Carol, Bill, Rhoda, Lois, Esther and Everett have been blessed with his steadfast love and example. He was a welcoming father-in-law and grandpa to 22 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Keith was predeceased by his brother George, sister Nellie and twin brother Ken. Parsneau, Pearl Lorraine (nee Miller) Passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital on Sunday January 30, 2005. Pearl was born in Vanguard Saskatchewan on July 9, 1928. Fabulous mother of Les (Dale), Glen (Marg) and Kelly (John). Wonderful and devoted grandmother to Ryan and Kyle. Pearl enjoyed living at the Woods Park Care Centre where she was actively involved in painting and other activities. She shared her love of life and sense of humour with everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all. Pearl was loving sister of Dorothy, Vera, Margaret, Eileen and Bernice. LEOMINSTER -- Donald H. Baril, 89, of 100 Main St., died Saturday morning, Jan. 29, in his home after a brief illness. He was born in Aldenville, on Nov. 30, 1915, the son of Narcissus and Albertine (Morin) Baril and lived in Leominster most of his life.Mr. Baril had owned and operated the former Don’s Variety in Leominster for over 30 years, before retiring in 1977. He was also a tool and die maker, and had worked at Alcon Plastics in Fitchburg, E.B. Kingman Co. in Leominster and Sterilite Corp. in Townsend. He restored furniture and was a woodworker for many years. He was a member of St. Leo’s Church in Leominster. He had his pilot’s license and loved to fly.Mr. Baril is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann LaPosta and her husband, John C. LaPosta, of Fitchburg, and Barbara L. Horgan and her husband, Robert D. Horgan, of North Easton; a son, Donald J. Baril and his wife, Maureen A. Baril, of Leominster; a sister, Sister Marion Berry of Putnam, Conn., seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces including Thomas F. HENNIKER - Elizabeth F. (Barker) Boucher, 79, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at home. She was a lifelong resident of Henniker, except for the time she spent traveling as a military spouse. She was the daughter of the late William and Marvel W. (Hope) Barker. She was a member of St. Theresa Church, Henniker. Born and raised in Henniker, she graduated as valedictorian from Henniker High School in 1944 and attended University of New Hampshire. She married in Henniker on Nov. 28, 1946, and she was a loving wife of 58 years and mother of three loving children. She was always proud of having been a military spouse for 25 years and traveling all over the United States and residing in Europe for seven years. She enjoyed spring the most, as she loved and enjoyed planting her flowers and seeing them bloom. Although she was not an avid golf fan like her husband, she was a great Red Sox fan and lived long enough to see her Red Sox win the World Series. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, George A. Boucher of Henniker; one son, David T. Boucher of Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, Carol E. Cowan of Hopkinton and Lisa A. Parker of Contoocook; son-in-law, Terry Cowan of Hopkinton; three grandchildren, Christopher and Jonathan Parker of Contoocook, and Sarah Rose Boucher of Bristol, R.I. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Church in Henniker. The Rev. Mark Dollard, pastor, will officiate. Carmel A. Corriveau, 57, of Bristol, died Saturday, (January 29, 2005) at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Claire, New Brunswick, Canada, he move to New Britain in 1966, where he lived many years moving to Bristol recently. He was a self employed Master Carpenter for many years. A U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam, Carmel was a member of the Franco American War Veteran's Post 26, where he served as Commander and Chaplain. He was also a member of the St. Jean the Baptist Society and was well known as an avid hunter and fisherman. Carmel is survived by two sons Wayne and his wife Colleen Corriveau of Newington; Dean and his wife Carol Corriveau of Bristol; their mother Anne St. Jarre, a grandson Aidan Michael Corriveau, three brothers Gil and his wife Sandra Corriveau, Georges Corriveau, Alfred and his wife Jaime Corriveau, two sisters Francine and Jean Pierre Boudreau and Nicole and Gilman Morneault all of Canada and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 9 a.m., from the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq., New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph's Church, 195 So. CHICOPEE - Dennis Cote, 63, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, beloved husband of Elfriede (Denker) Cote, died Saturday at his home. Cote of Fairview; a daughter, Joann L. Cote of Springfield; her fiance', Michael R. McCallum, also of Springfield; 3 brothers, Harvey Cote of Canada, Gilles Cote and his wife Lynn, also of Canada, and Remi Cote and his wife, Colleen of Ludlow. He was "Papa Cote" to his grandchildren, Casey Rafferty, Destiny McCallum, and soon to be "Papa Cote" to Aaliyah McCallum. Barbara graduated from Commerce High School in 1961. Mr. and Mrs. Dufresne were married on Oct. 3, 1970. She was a former member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and enjoyed caring for and growing her own flowers and also enjoyed cooking, bingo and animals. Mary Irene Forgette, 82, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 26, 2005. She was born May 21, 1922, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and resided in Las Vegas for four years. Irene was a school teacher in southern California where she taught in a convent and in public schools. She was married in 1967, to Alex Forgette, an attorney. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. She lived a full and rewarding life with a loving spirit and was a dear friend to all that knew her. She is survived by her husband, Alex Forgette; daughter, Terri Meek; son, Steve Forgette; daughter-in-law, Deanna Forgette; grandchildren, Tim Meek, Thomas Meek, Alex Forgette, Nick Forgette, Spencer Forgette and Katharine Forgette. She also leaves her brothers, Rene Lambert and Raymond Lambert; and sister, Mary Ameda Muzzy. The family wishes to thank her loving caregiver, Yvette Preciado, who was an integral part of her life in the last few years. A rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31. Lucienne M. Cook, a longtime resident of Burlington, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, January 29, 2005. She was 76 years old. Mrs. Cook was born in Quebec, Canada the daughter of the late Armand & Leontine Ledoux. She was raised and educated in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Mrs. Cook and her late husband Arthur settled in Burlington 41 years ago. Her primary role was that of homemaker, taking care of her home, husband and sons. When the Burlington Mall first open, she took job as a waitress at the Filenes Department Store’s restaurant. She then moved onto Jordan Marsh’s restaurant. Between the 2 stores she spent over 20 years working at the Mall. Mrs. Cook loved to cook for her sons and their families. She also enjoyed working in her garden and reading. She enjoyed weekly card games with the girls. She also enjoyed playing Bingo. She was a devoted Boston Sports Fan most especially the Red Sox and the Patriots. She was a very active parishioner at the United Church of Christ Congregational. Mrs. Cook’s family was the most important part of her life. She was proud of her sons and their many accomplishments as well as her four grandchildren in their achievements in school, sports, and other activities they are involved in. Mrs. Cook is the wife of the late Arthur C. Cook. She is the loving mother of Roger A. Cook & his wife Kathleen of Burlington and Greg A. Cook & his fiancé Jill of Thousand Oaks, CA. She is the sister of Joseph (Rene) Ledoux of Atlanta GA, Marcel Ledoux of Old Orchard Beach, ME, Victor Ledoux of Biddeford, ME, Adele Ledoux of Old Orchard Beach, ME, and the late Jeanette Garrish. She is the devoted grandmother of Jason, Tara, Nichole, and Molly. GOGUEN LORETTE (NEE MONTPETIT) 95 years young. Born November 19, 1909. Died January 29, 2005. Matriarch of the Montpetit family surviving 13 siblings. Beloved wife of Leo Goguen (married July 15, 1933) whom she joined in heaven along with her darling daughter Lorraine Davis (Jack) and grandson Michael Sena (Cindy). Lorette leaves behind her devoted daughter Lucille Cimas (Mike), adopted daughter Theresa Cudia (Joe), blessed grandchildren Debra Dalgleish (Doug), Diane Bondi (Ron), Dr. Leo Davidson (India), Elaine Davidson, 10 great-grand- children, and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. One of Lorette's proudest achievements was serving her country during World War II by performing the difficult job as a welder. She was our own "Rosie the Riveter", with hands of steel and a heart of pure gold. Those of us who loved and cherished her are grateful for the gift of her 95 years of wisdom. A special thank you to the staff and residents of La Chaumiere who offered loving care and affection to this very deserving lady who spent a lifetime attending to the needs of others. Lorette was a longtime member of the Catholic Women's League and the Good Neighbors Club. Visitation on Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with C.W.L. Moreau, 93, of Waterville, passed away on Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at a Waterville hospital.He was born in Oakland on Dec. 20, 1911, the son of Frank and Abbie (Murray) Moreau.He attended Oakland schools.As a young man, he was employed by the Diamond Match Co. and held other various jobs.Later, he became a truck driver for Maine Central Railroad, retiring after 38 years.He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed bowling and playing horseshoes. He loved to be surrounded by his family, especially his grandson, Kenneth Childs Jr.He was predeceased by his wife Ruth E. Neveau, Alwidge, J. -- St. Helen, Michigan Hudson, Florida -- The son of the late Floyd and Donna (Buck) Neveau passed away Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson, FL, age 66 years. He was born June 2, 1938 in Bay City and lived there until 1978 when his family moved to St. Helen, MI. He was a retired Consumers Power Company Employee. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Donna (Edgette) Neveau and four of his five children: sons: Joseph and Robbin Neveau; one daughter, Debra Neveau and Garner Dietzel, all of St. Helen, MI; son, Timothy (Marcia) Neveau; and two grandchildren, TJ and Desiree' Neveau, all of Roscommon, MI. He was preceded in death by son, David A. Neveau who passed away on July 29, 2004. He is survived by sisters: Roseanell (Charles) Gillisse, Delores (Paul) Gendron, Donna (Richard) Precour, Lorraine (Norman) Roth; brothers: Willard (Marie) Neveau, Frank (Jeanette) Neveau, James (Ellen) Neveau, Carl (Karen) Neveau, Fredrick (Bonnie) Neveau, and Robert (Carole) Neveau; and sister- in-law, Barbra Neveau and many nieces and nephews. SANFORD - Joseph N. Poliquin, 82, of Sanford, died Jan. 27, 2005 at Tampa General Hospital in Florida. He had been a winter resident of Zephyrhills, Florida for many years.He was born in Epping, N.H., on March 16, 1922, a son of Alfred and Georgianna (Lanois) Poliquin, attended Epping schools, and was a graduate of Epping High School.He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and the US Air Force in Korea.He was employed for 24 years with the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1982.He attended St. George's Episcopal Church, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd and 4th degree in Sanford-Springvale.His first wife, the former Adrienne Dube, died in 1997.Survivors include his wife of five years, Zelda (Stone Gauthier) Poliquin of Sanford; three sons, Joseph M. Poliquin and his wife Martha of Lisbon Falls, James D. Poliquin and his wife Beth Ann of Cumberland, and John Poliquin and his wife Anne of Yarmouth; two daughters, Janet Neal and her husband Allan of Gray, and Jo Anne Shatsky and her husband Scott of Ginot Shomron, Israel; two stepsons, Thomas Gauthier and his wife Pamela of Springvale, and Robert Gauthier and his wife Sara of Sanford; two brothers, Albert Poliquin of Morrill, and James Poliquin of Raymond, N.H.;two sisters, Alma Sobozenski of Exeter, N.H., and Alice Mae Mailhot of Epping, N.H.; 16 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandson.Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. Maureen was previously employed for several years as a secretary for U. S. F. & G. Insurance Company, formerly located on Maple Street, in Springfield. Besides her parents she leaves her devoted and loving husband of 29 years, Mark R. Shapiro, her three cherished children, Brian J. Shapiro at home, Karen E. Hall and her husband, Andrew C. Hall of Springfield, and Carol A. Shapiro at home, one brother, Reverend Kenneth J. Tatro, Pastor of St. Mary's Church, East Springfield, three sisters, Ellen A. Fongemie of Newark, Delaware, Christine M. Shea of Longmeadow, and Joanne Garvey of Wilbraham, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was the sister of the late James Daniel Tatro who died on November 25, 1997.
