Survived by his loving children, Michael & wife D’Anne, Melissa and fiance Greg. Grandchildren, Randy and Autumn. Beloved son of his late parents, Rene and Mae Lamoureux. Loving brother of Leo, Pat and Bill (Sudbury), Lawrence and Angy, Ernie, Pearl and her late husband Bill Price (Exeter), Fern, Ray, Margaret and Dick Gosling (Tecumseh), Ken and Pauline, Dan and Marg, and Terrie and Paul (Boyce) (Corunna). Henry Falk Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully on Monday, March 29, 2004, Henry passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 75. He was predeceased by father William; mother Sara; step-mother Elizabeth; sister Justina; and brother Dave. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife Kerry; son Dwayne (Lesley) Falk; daughter Charmaine Falk; his very special grandson Nory Falk; as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Henry was employed with CN for 42 years until his retirement in 1993. It was through CN that he became an active member of C.B.R.T. and G.W. Local 142 where he served as the local chairman and remained an active participant even after his retirement. He always looked forward to his “Monthly Breakfast” with his union pals and his daily trips to Robin’s Donuts. Henry thoroughly enjoyed all the times spent together with grandson Nory, going to Moose games, Bomber games and always tying his skate laces just right at his own hockey games. He was a fixture at all of Nory’s sporting events and activities and was affectionately known as “Grandpa” to all. Dad was always there when somebody needed him and always willing to lend a hand to his family and friends. “He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.” Visitation will be held on Friday, April 2, 2004 from 7-8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Violet Amelia Davidson (née Brown) December 10, 1924 - March 29, 2004 Violet Amelia Davidson (nee Brown) It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Vi Davidson on Monday, March 29, 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Corinne (Clay), Michele (Ilija) of Toronto and Mike (Katie), her grandchildren Jacqueline, Johanne and Tracy, Bryce, Brett, sisters Doris Scaife (Chris), and Adeline Radcliffe and brother Harold Brown. She was predeceased by her husband Bryce, parents Annie and Harry Brown and brother Allen. Vi was born December 10, 1924 and grew up in Lundar. She practiced nursing until she married Bryce and devoted herself to raising her family. Vi’s faith was her strength; she was very active in her church, teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir and as a compassionate hospital visitor for many years. Vi lovingly dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was a great listener and she will always be remembered for her generosity and her warmth. Edward "Smitty" Albert Smith December 11, 1917 - May 12, 2004 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Edward Smith on Monday, May 10, 2004 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. He passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside. Ed was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Theofile Smith; brothers Rueben and Erwin; brothers-in-law Lloyd Easler and Al Holsted, and sister-in-law Betty Smith. Ed will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 62 years, Pearl; son Ernest “Jack” of Morinville, Alberta; daughters Faith (Don) Putasnick and Donna (Bryan) Orobko; sister Anne Easler of Vancouver, B.C. and sister-in-law Mae Holsted of Barhead, Alberta; as well as his 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ed was born and raised in Redcliff, Alberta where he began working in the Dominion Glass Factory. He met and married Pearl and they moved to Vancouver where he worked in the ship yards. In 1943, he and his family moved to Winnipeg to work at the then Winnipeg Electric as a streetcar driver. Over the next 36 years he drove all types of transit vehicles and worked his way up to a supervisor with Winnipeg Transit, the position he retired from in 1979. In his free time he enjoyed working as a back yard mechanic, bowling, golfing, and playing cribbage. He also enjoyed watching his favourite teams the Detroit Red Wings and the Toronto Blue Jays on T.V. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the Maples Personal Care Home, where he was a resident for 11 months and the emergency staff and 5th floor U2 staff and doctors at the Seven Oaks General Hospital for their care of our loved one. As requested, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Henry George Prince Suddenly on Saturday, February 1, 2003, Henry George Prince Sr., of Peguis First Nation passed away at the age of 63 years, with his devoted wife Reta, family and friends by his side. Henry leaves to mourn his loving wife Reta of 44 years; his sister Agnes; brother, Arnold (Virginia) and Nathaniel (Mary); his children, Barbara (Melvin) Bair, Howard (Deanna) Rat, Robert (Paulette) Slater, Leona Ratt, Eugene (Kim) Ratt, George (Shelly) Prince Jr., Dennis (Fancine ) Prince, Denise (Sam) Churchill, Janice Prince, Joann (Vance) Spence, Linda (Clifford) Gerard, Agnes (Dave) McPherson and Marilyn (Melvin) Anderson; 57 grandchildren; 35 great-grand grandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews, aunts, uncles and friends; special-in-laws, Carl (Olive) Asham, Nancy Harper, Izola Finnbogason, Betty (Tom ) McCorrister, Alice (Ben) Hudson, Dennis (Linda) Daniels and Leslie (Geraldine) Daniels. George was predeceased by his mom, Muriel; father Pethuel; brother, Edgar, mother-in-law Florence Daniels; and his father-in-law Cecil Daniels. George was born on Peguis Reserve. He spent much of his life providing for his family by working construction. Moore Hospital, the Peguis Health Centre and all those who expressed their sympathies and prayers. Walter Lisinski February 03, 1925 - November 24, 2003 Lisinski, Walter With all our love, we bid farewell to our father, grandpa, friend, and especially husband and soulmate to Kathleen (Pat Fleming) for 51 years. His angel took his hand and led him home to his Lord at the age of 78. He passed away at home with his wife and family at his side on November 24, 2003. Walter will be fondly remembered by his children Michael, Karen (Chris Smith), Peter (Myrna McKenzie), Paul, John (Karen Wright), Thomas, Connie (R.J. Adam), Matthew (Jill McCarthy), as well as 16 beautiful grandchildren that he held very close to his heart. Dear brother of Helen Knowles, Eve James, and brother-in-law of Clarice Fleming. Mary Urbas- November 3, 2001 We regret to announce the death of Mary Urbas on November 3, 2001 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 93. She is survived by one son; Tony husband of Carmen of Kapuskasing, one daughter; Mary Piercy of Tottenham, four grandchildren; Nancy, Michael, Terry and Sherry as well as four great grandchildren. Maria Olga Alleva (nee Moscardelli) October 01, 1927 - November 16, 2003 ALLEVA, Maria Olga Peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2003 at Metropolitan Hospital. Maria passed away at the age of 76 years. Maria was predeceased by her husband Gero Alleva (1977), and is now resting peacefully with him. She leaves to cherish her memories, her son Tony Alleva and daughter-in-law, Mary and her grandchildren, Christa and Erin Alleva and Chris Menard. Her daughter, Sandra Bauer and son-in-law Tom and her grandchildren, Eric and Olivia Bauer. Her brother, Giuseppe Moscardelli and dear sister-in-law, Anna and her nephew Anthony Moscardelli and his wife Nadia and her dear sister in Rome, Italy, Clara Ballini Moscardelli. Our mom survived many setbacks in her life but she was truly a survivor. Her greatest joy was her family. She lived life to the fullest, enjoyed what she was doing, no matter what and most of all was always true to herself. Maria Olga was a loving Mom and grandmother and we as her children are proud of what she accomplished in her lifetime and the sacrifices she made on our behalf and her memory will live with us forever. She will be missed dearly by many friends and relatives. Particularly, her friends at the Italian Senior’s Group and also friends from the Italia Ladies Bocciafila of Caboto Club where she was a long standing member. We would like to express our thanks to the staff on 4 North, Metropolitan Hospital, in particular two very gifted individuals, Deanna Borshuk and Joe Garro for the loving care they gave our mother. Melvin "Mel" Isaac McPherson March 16, 1919 - August 10, 2002 McPHERSON Sr., Melvin I. ("Mel"), 83, of Keene, New Hampshire, died Saturday, August 10, 2002, of lung cancer at his home. Born in Mapleton, Maine, second son of Lewis A. McPherson and Marie D. Elliott, Mel moved to Keene in 1940. After WWII, he married Bernice Fuller on July 25, 1947 (who predeceased him a mere 25 years later); lived in Gilsum, Marlow, and Alstead; and then returned to Keene in 1970. Mel worked as a mill operator for 19 years for Golding-Keene Company at its Alstead feldspar mill, before retiring in 1983, after 17 years from American Optical. He is survived by daughters Sandra McPherson of Tucson (AZ) and Cathleen M. Gagnon (wife of Irving "Bing" Gagnon) of Keene and by son Melvin "Mickey" McPherson Jr. (husband of Dok Kyu McPherson); by grandchildren Joy Varney, Christopher McPherson, Angel MaQuar, and Crystal McPherson; by great grandchildren; by sisters Margaret Bolduc of West Swanzey, Hilda Hall of Charlestown, Althea ("Ally") Jordan of Keene, Doreen Archer of Mapleton (ME), and Mary Hull of Gilsum; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins; and by innumerable friends. Mel enjoyed the outdoors and walking in the woods. He was an avid gardener: people often stopped in summer to admire the flowers around his home. Other hobbies included hunting, fishing, bird watching, and the Boston Red Sox. Mel was active in his church and hosted weekly prayer and song at his home. Beloved wife of the late Arthur MacKenzie (1988). Dear daughter of the late David and Rebecca (nee McCracken). Loving mother of Mrs. Wanda Guindon of Garson, Pamela (Mrs. Robert McEwen) of Port Dover and Ron (wife Sue) of Espanola. Will be sadly missed by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Very dear sister of Kay (Mrs. Nolan Gagnon) of Sault Ste. Marie, Devina Hay of Ottawa, Mrs. Patricia Brown of Toronto and the late Bernice Rennie. Lorna was a member of the Espanola Rebekah Lodge and the Espanola United Church Women. Lorna and Arthur loved to square dance and she vacationed very often in Florida. John Bergen -– It is with great sadness that the family of John Bergen, dear Dad, Grandpa, and Great-Grandpa, announce his passing on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, after a seven-month battle with cancer. Born September 24, 1927, near Gainsborough, SK, he is predeceased by his parents, Isaac and Maria (Hildebrand), wife Eileen (Parisien), brother Dave, and sister Helen (Currie). John is survived by his four children: Bernice (Brian) Bender, Brian, Blair (Sue), and Belinda (Don) Bieber; grandchildren: Janine and Jeremy Bender, Elizabeth (Ian) Edwards-Collins and her mother Mylinda, Wayne Bergen, Tammy (Josef) Tesar, Charlie, C. Michelle, and Mark Bieber; five great-grandchildren: Prestin Bergen and his mother Amber, Sebastian, Logan and Joshua Edwards-Collins, and Tianna Bieber and her father Tony Marcotte; brother Jake (Molly) and sister Mary (Jim) Irwin, as well as nieces and nephews. John was married to Eileen for forty-five years before her passing in 1994. He was on road construction in his early years as a cat skinner. He worked at Ipsco for nearly thirty years. After his retirement he inspected pipe for a private company. John was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting for wild game, fishing, golfing and gardening. He went on many gambling trips with Mom to Deadwood and Four Bears. He especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taking many of their interests as his own. He will be sorely missed. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy # 1 East, on Monday, June 7th, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend David Hoffman officiating. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina SK S4P 2R3. Many thanks to Reverend David Hoffman, Zion United Church, for his willingness to come out in the middle of the night to comfort us and Dad, and for his help with the service. Thank you to all three hospitals and their staff for caring for Dad.
