THOMPSON, Lana Patricia, (December 30, 1945). Passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2004. Loved beyond words by her children Wendy (Daryl) and Doug (Lucy), and grandchildren Rachel and Brayden. She left us too soon but gave us so much. Daughter of Donald H. "Digger" and Reta Gorman, whose unconditional love provided her the strength and character that defined her. Sister to Bill Gorman (Kelly Gorman), Tom and Jane Gorman, Kathy Chandler and Mike Conrad and Liz and Bart Scott who, together with their parents, formed a circle of love and joy around her throughout her life. Cherished friend of cousin Carolyn Wade and Nancy Cain, who held her hand and held her up. There are no words to capture their place in our hearts. She shared many years of love and laughter with Bob Thompson. Beloved daughter-in-law to May and Frank Edwards and the late George Thompson. Dear sister-in-law to the late Bill Thompson, Ron and Lynn Thompson, Frank and Arlene Edwards and Debbi and Dean Roy. Lana had many except ional qualities - she was compassionate, joyful and completely selfless. Her most extraordinary quality was her ability to see the good in everyone. This made her an incredible friend - and she had many. To each of her friends, her family offers than ks for every phone call, card, flower, book, video and visit. We thank you for making her laugh. She savoured her life because of the people in it. LEPLANTE (Monbourquette), Eve Marie "Marion" - 64, Halifax, left us peacefully on Friday, April 30, 2004, from the Palliative Care Unit of the VG Site, QEII. Born in Three Island, Cape Breton, she was the eldest daughter of Annie Mae (Martell) and the late Dennis Joseph Monbourquette. She was a ward aid at the VG Site, QEII, where she retired from in 1994, with 35 years service. She was a member of St. Mary's Basilica. She is survived by her daughter and best friend, Therese (Mrs. Randy Crowe); brother, David; sisters, Gloria Frosst, Halifax; Leona Gilbert, River Bourgeois; Denise, Dartmouth; Sandra Morrison, Aldergrove, B.C.; grandson, Randy Jr.; granddaughter, Christina; great-grandson, Spencer. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, in St. Mary's Basilica, Halifax, Father John Williams officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Simone (Landry) Nadeau « La prière, c’est un cœur à cœur avec Dieu » Padre Pio À l’hôpital le CHUL du CHUQ, le 2 mai 2004, à l’âge de 84 ans, est décédée dame Simone Landry, épouse de feu monsieur Roland Nadeau. Elle demeurait au Manoir St-Louis à Sillery. Le service religieux sera célébré le jeudi 6 mai 2004 à 14h, en l’église St-Charles-Garnier, 1215, ave du Chanoine-Morel, Sillery, où la famille recevra les condoléances une heure avant la cérémonie. La disposition des cendres se fera ultérieurement au Parc Commémoratif La Souvenance. Elle laisse dans le deuil, ses enfants: Adrien (Lise Trottier), Jean-Paul (France Jean), Carole (Gervais St-Pierre), Serge (Suzie Plante), Gilbert; ses petits-enfants: Louis-Bernard, Jean-Philippe, Marie-France, Nancy et Pierre-Luc; sa sœur et ses frères: Marie-Anna Landry Blondin, Léopold (Thérèse Langelier), Raymond (Louise Coté), Camille (Lina Lizotte), Maurice, Alfred, feu Alice (Israël Boissonneault); ses beaux-frères et belles-sœurs de la famille Nadeau: Ernest (feu Cécile Poiré), Béatrice, sœur Rollande et sœur Marcelle des sœurs de la Charité de St-Louis, Raymond (Alice Dionne), Jean-Marie (Laurette Richard), Jeannette (Simon Olivier), Noël-Aimé, Gabrielle (Georges-Henri Corriveau) ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines, parents et ami(e)s. La famille tient à remercier tout le personnel du 2e sud ouest du CHUL pour les bons soins et les attentions prodigués lors de son séjour parmi eux. Leur chaleur et leur dévouement ont soutenu sa famille.
