Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil une fille, Anna Spataro (Joseph) de Riverview; un fils, Saverio de Riverview; une soeur, Giovanna Rocca (Filippo) de Saint-Jean; un frère, Annibale Mastroainni de l’Italie, ainsi que trois petits-enfants: Nick (Jackie), Melissa (Kevin) et Gina (John) et trois arrière-petits-enfants: Emma, Olivia et Antonio. Un fils, Pasquale; une soeur, Louisa; ainsi que deux frères: Pasquale et Giovanni, l’ont précédée dans la tombe. TRACADIE-SHEILA - À sa résidence, le dimanche 9 novembre 2003, à l’âge de 68 ans, est décédée subitement Diana Robichaud, épouse de Raymond M. Robichaud, domiciliée à Tracadie-Sheila, 3541, rue du Centenaire. Née le 10 décembre 1934, elle était fille de feu Jean-Louis «Johnny» Comeau et de feu Judith Savoie. Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil trois filles: Brigitte (Bertrand Comeau) de Tracadie-Sheila, Micheline (Guy Losier) de Petit-Tracadie et Gaëtanne (Roger Godin) de Val-Comeau; une soeur, Dorilla (feu Lazare Losier) de Sudbury; plusieurs beaux-frères et belles-soeurs, ainsi que trois petits-enfants: Sébastien, Natasha et Julien-Guy. Un fils, Marcel (1980), l’a précédée dans la tombe. Avant sa retraite, Mme Robichaud a été enseignante. Elle a enseigné pendant 35 années dans différentes écoles de la région. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 19h, le lundi 10 novembre, à la Maison funéraire Robichaud, 3875, rue Principale, à Tracadie-Sheila. CHIASSON, Patricia Marie "Pat"-59, Halifax, passed away peacefully November 7, 2003, at home after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Harold Arthur "Dick" and the late Delta Mae (Clowry) George. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Thomas "Tom Sr."; son, Capt. Thomas "Tom Jr.", Greenwood; daughter, Elizabeth "Beth", Halifax. She is also survived by sisters, Donna (George) Crozier, Brenda (Paul) Wellwood, Sandy (Scot) Higgins; brothers, Doug (CoraLee) and Jim (Faye); stepmother, Barbara George; several nieces, all of Kings County. Pat grew up in the Valley, graduated from Central Kings High School, and was employed by MT&T, the Bank of Nova Scotia in Kentville, New Minas and the North End branch of Saint John, N.B. She left the workforce to raise her children and during that time was very active at Oxford School with her children as well as the Girl Guides. Pat returned to the workforce at Atlantic Fabrics for 15 years leaving as manager of the Halifax store due to ill health. Pat was a gifted seamstress and craftsperson whose creations ventured throughout Canada and the U.S.A. She was an avid gardener and camper spending the majority of this sumêmer in her garden or on a camping adventure with Tom and Hershey. Cremation has taken place and family will receive relatives and friends in J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax, today from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Family flowers only. CORMIER, OLIVER J.-the death of Oliver J. Cormier of 219 Ellerdale St. occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 8, 2003. Mr. Cormier was born in Bathurst, a son of the late Francis X. and Ann (Muzerall) Cormier. He had served overseas with the Royal Canadian Army Railway Corp during the Second World War and was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid bowler and cribbage player and had been a worker for the K. of C. Bingo. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 67 years, the former Josephine Frigault, in February of 2003. Besides his wife, he was pre-deceased by five brothers, Doug, Raymond, Ken, Billy, and Herbert; and a son-in-law, Earl McIsaac. He is survived by two sons, Frank (Elaine) of Saint John, and Daniel (Kathleen) of Hampton; three daughters, Geraldine Hanlon (Patrick) of Rothesay, Elizabeth McIsaac of Saint John, and Joan O'Brien (Michael) of Lower Sackville, N.S.; one sister, Margaret Logue of Saint John; 12 grandchildren, Garey and Darren Hanlon, Kim Kitchen, Pattie Dugay, Dominique, Jared, and Paul Cormier, Cathy Kuske, Sean McIsaac, Karen Knight, Mark O'Brien, and Michelle Beauchamp; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. NATHALIE RIOPEL May 3, 1969-November 9, 2003 The family announces with great sorrow her death after a short but valiant fight with cancer at the Timmins and District Hospital on Sunday, November 9, 2003 at the age of 34 years. She will be sadly missed by her children; Mario (Réjean Nerbonne) and Théo (Guy Lauzon) all of Timmins. Dearest daughter of Jacques and Jocelyne Riopel of Timmins. Nathalie‚s greatest joys in life were her two sons Mario and Théo. They brought her much happiness fulfilling her number one goal in life which was that of becoming a mother. Robichaud, domiciliée à Tracadie-Sheila, 3541, rue du Centenaire. Née le 10 décembre 1934, elle était fille de feu Jean-Louis «Johnny» Comeau et de feu Judith Savoie. Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil trois filles: Brigitte (Bertrand Comeau) de Tracadie-Sheila, Micheline (Guy Losier) de Petit-Tracadie et Gaëtanne (Roger Godin) de Val-Comeau; une soeur, Dorilla (feu Lazare Losier) de Sudbury; plusieurs beaux-frères et belles-soeurs, ainsi que trois petits-enfants: Sébastien, Natasha et Julien-Guy. Un fils, Marcel (1980), l’a précédée dans la tombe. Avant sa retraite, Mme Robichaud a été enseignante. Elle a enseigné pendant 35 années dans différentes écoles de la région. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 19h, le lundi 10 novembre, à la Maison funéraire Robichaud, 3875, rue Principale, à Tracadie-Sheila. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Tracadie, le mercredi 12 novembre, à 16h30. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial. In Ottawa on Saturday, November 8, 2003 William Martin, age 89, son of the late William Thomas Martin and Mary Fischer of Montreal. Dear friend and loving husband of the late Jean Stevenson of Kazabazua and Peterborough, Ontario. Willie spent the most of his life working for General Electric in Peterborough. Following the death of his wife Jean in 1999, Willie lived with his niece Laurette and her husband Wilbrod Lefebvre of Ottawa. At the age of four months, due to the illness of his birth mother, Willie came to live with his aunt and uncle, Annie and William Montague and they raised Willie along with their own eleven children. Surviving are his Montague sisters and brothers, Lillian Kealey (Venosta), Estelle Law (Seattle), Martin J. (Nepean), Desmond T. (Calgary), and Edward (St. Thomas, Ont. and Florida). Sisters and brothers who predeceased him were Nora Beatty (Ottawa), Laura Laird (Calgary), Jack (Venosta), Albert and Bernard Montague (Ottawa) and Cairine Carriere (Gatineau). Willie is also survived by many nieces and nephews and he will be greatly missed. Eunice E. Carter, cherished wife of Bruce C.L. Carter of Carleton Place, Ontario passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on Saturday, November 8th, 2003, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Saint John, NB on August 9th, 1942, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (McCavour) Maguire. She was retired from Transport Canada and was recently awarded the Paul Tissandier Diploma of the Federation Aeronautique Internationale, for her 14 years of dedication and devotion in the promotion of the John C. Webster Memorial Trophy Competition. The Canadian Snowbirds Aerobatic Demonstration Team were touched by her courage and made her "Honorary Snow Bird #1". she was a strong advocate of the Breast Cancer Society and a valued member of the "Living for Today" Cancer Support Group. She is known for cheering and supporting others despite her own illness and especially befriending those just beginning their treatments. Her bubbly personality will be missed by many, many friends including many from Hawaii who wish her "Much Aloha". She attended Beckwith Baptist Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by her brother Clem (Lee) Maguire of Cayuga, Ontario and two sisters, Esther (Jim) Magee of Rothesay, NB and Lois (Bry'n) Ross of Dartmouth, NS. She is also survived by her step-daughters, Suzanne (John) Lisson of Quispamsis, NB and Leslie (Earl) Rice of Saint John, NB. She is the much loved step-grandmother of Janice (Craig) Hamilton of Florenceville, NB, John (Amy Winsor) Lisson of Stephenville, Nfld. and Jennifer (Jeremy) Porter, Tara Steeves, Ben Steeves and Meghan (Trevor Fleury) Steeves, all of Saint John, NB. She is also the much loved aunt of Bruce Magee, Brent (Julie) Magee, Scott (Jeannette) Magee and Philip (Shauna) Maguire of Saint John NB, Mark (Jillian) Magee of Fredericton, Kelly (Sean) Craig of Quispamsis, NB, and Dennett and Ian Ross of Dartmouth, NS. Each knew they were her "favorite". She is also survived by her five step-great-grandchildren and six great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her niece Deborah Magee and nephew Allen Maguire. Special mention must be made of many "children" who took part in the Webster Memorial Trophy Competition to whom she was affectionately known as "Ma Webster". Friends may call at the ALAN R. Peacefully, at St. Joseph's Hospital, on Friday, November 7, 2003 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Doreen (Salter). Loving father to Barbara and husband Rick Benson-Gubesch of New Dundee, to Heather McClement of London and, to Pamela and husband Scott Bolingbroke of Florida. Proud grandfather to Cameron and Shannon McClement (fiancee David Shurgold), Kristy and Russell Bolingbroke and Blair Elizabeth Benson. Born in Montreal in 1917, Miles was raised in Ottawa and graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry and Metallurgy. He joined the military and was posted from Ottawa to Camp Borden and finally settled with his family in Mississauga in 1965 shortly after his retirement, at the rank of Major, from the Canadian Army. He again retired in 1982 from Atomic Energy of Canada and again at the age of 80 as the manager of his own engineering consulting firm - Tecnova Ltd. Beyond his career, Miles had many interests and talents. In his younger years he helped in his dad's movie theater and tire businesses. He was a swimming teacher, sculpting instructor and played cello in the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra. In later years, he was a founding member of the Applewood Tennis Club in Mississauga and was a popular DJ for parties. He also produced taped music for his daughters' ice-skating shows and dance recitals. Doreen and Miles were avid boaters docked for more than a decade at Big Bay Point Marina on Lake Simcoe. A dedicated husband, he devoted many of his final years to Doreen's care with her advancing Alzheimers. They celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary in February 2003. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial gathering for family and friends is scheduled. CORMIER, OLIVER J. - the death of Oliver J. Cormier of 219 Ellerdale St. occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 8, 2003. Mr. Cormier was born in Bathurst, a son of the late Francis X. and Ann (Muzerall) Cormier. He had served overseas with the Royal Canadian Army Railway Corp during the Second World War and was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid bowler and cribbage player and had been a worker for the K. of C. Bingo. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 67 years, the former Josephine Frigault, in February of 2003. Besides his wife, he was pre-deceased by five brothers, Doug, Raymond, Ken, Billy, and Herbert; and a son-in-law, Earl McIsaac. Professional Engineer Retired International Joint Commission Passed away peacefully on November 6, 2003 at the age of 80 years. Murray was born on July 20th, 1923, in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by loving wife Jean (nee Duffield). Dear father to Leslie (Toronto), Susan (Atlanta), Grant (Dallas), James and wife Alice (Wisconsin). Stepfather to Marsha Clarkson and husband Peter (Virginia), and Susan Duffield. Beloved grandfather to Alexander, Angela, Brandon, Katherine, Kristen and Scott. Warmest thanks are extended for the love and care given to Murray by his special companion Helen Caldwell. A veteran of WWII Murray served bravely (and "cheated death") with the 1st Canadian Division in the invasion of Sicily and subsequently served in Italy and Holland. He attended Khaki College in England and completed an undergraduate engineering degree at the University of Saskatchewan and a Masters of Science (Engineering) at Utah State University (Provost). Upon completion of his studies, he received a commission in the Royal Canadian Engineers and eventually became the Commanding Officer (Major) of the same unit in which he once served as a sapper. Murray's professional engineering career spanned four decades, involving assignments with PFRA in Saskatchewan, the Colombo Plan in Sri Lanka (Ceylon), and as Chief Engineer of the International Joint Commission. A distinguished member of the Masonic fraternity holding rank of Grand Steward in the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario, Past Master of Chaudiere Lodge No. 264 and Luxor Daylight Lodge No. 741. He was also an Honorary Inspector-General 33 Degrees of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry for Canada, Past Commander and Chief of the Ottawa Consistory, and Past Most Wise Sovereign of the Murray Chapter of Rose Croix. As a Life Member of the Centrepoint Theatre Volunteer Company, Murray designed the "Thompson Tiller" and logged over 1500 volunteer hours as a Stage Crew Chief and crew member. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd. (between Baseline Rd. and Bayshore Dr.) Nepean on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Christ Church Bells Corners, 3861 Richmond Rd., Nepean on Monday at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation, 4 Queen Street South, Hamilton, ON L8P 3R3 or Centrepointe Theatre (production fund), 101 Centrepointe Drive, Nepean K2G 5K7 would be appreciated.
