ANGUS (Boutilier), Heather Dawn-June 28, 1949-November 9, 2003. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Heather, the only child of Robert John, French Village and the late Elizabeth Ann (MacDonald) Boutilier. She departed to Heaven on Novmeber 9, 2003, in the VG Site, QEII. She is now reunited with her mother and her first husband, Glenn Dillon. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, friend and was loved by all. Nanny's dreams of travel in her play house on wheels were shortened, but she had many friends from Florida to Newfoundaland. Heather was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, St. Margaret's Bay Branch 116. Besides her father, she leaves behind her second husband, James Angus; children, Robert Dillon, Toronto; Glena (Peter) van de Ven, Halifax; loving stepchildren, Angela, Moncton; Anthony, Toronto; Adam, Moncton. Heather will be sadly missed by all of her grandchildren. At Heather's request her body has been donated to science. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 12 at 2 p.m. in St. Paul's Anglican Church, French Village, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. LABONTE, ROLAND SR. - At his residence, November 7, 2003, Mr. Roland Labonte Sr. of Blue Bell passed away at the age of 60 years. He was married to the former Marie-Rose Rossignol. Born at Riviere-Verte in 1943, he was a son of the late Lawrence Labonte and of Azilda Michaud. He was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond and Gilles. Besides his wife and his mother, he is survived by two sons, Roland Jr. (Sherry) and Jean-Marc (Melanie Poitras) of New Denmark, two daughters, Lisa Labonte (Dale Cummings) of Woodstock and Tina Labonte (Jimmy Shaw) of Canterbury, ten grandchildren, Bradley (Vera), Eric, Kim, Julie, Jamie, Heather, Missy, Ken, CJ and Britney, four brothers, Mauril (Brenda) of England, Wilmer of Calgary, Ronald (Isabelle) of Grand Falls and Yvon (Suzie) of Kitchener, Ontario, eight sisters, Doreen and Jeannine of Grand Falls, Ginette of Montreal, Esther, Louise (Gilbert Boutot) and Solange (Gilbert Levasseur) of Riviere-Verte, Judy (Jos Rossignol) of Drummond and Brenda of Edmundston, as well as nieces and nephews. NOBLE, AUDRIE P.- Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Nov. 8,2003. Audrie P. Noble of Saint John widow of William B. Noble. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Daisy (Oram) Brantnall. Audrie spent the greater part of her life in Saint John but had lived in Elgin N.B for 10 years. She was a past member of The Womens Institute and an active member of the Millidgeville Seniors and a member of the of The N.B Seniors Citizen Federation. Audrie enjoyed travelling with seniors citizens. She was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church. She is survived by one son Donald Noble (Holly) of Saint John East, one daughter Karen Henwood of Saint John. Friend Doris Bernard of Florida, one sister in law Joan Brantnall of Kingston, Ont. Two Grandsons, Marc Henwood and Christopher Henwood. Two step grandsons Adam and Scott Dincorn. Several nieces and nephews. Audrie was predeceased by her brother George Brantnall. Resting at the A.W Cavanagh Funeral Home, 91 Leinster St. (634-1712). From where the Memorial service will be held on Wednesday Nov. 12, 2003 at 1PM. Visiting hours Monday and Tuesday 2-4, 7-9PM. FLOWERS, BERT N. - The death of Mr. Bert Nelson Flowers of Ellerdale St, husband of the late Elizabeth (Golden) Flowers occurred on Sunday, November 9, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Wirral, Queens Co. he was the son of the late Joseph and Annie (Osborne) Flowers. Bert was employed with the Simonds Parish of Saint John as a heavy equipment operator and the Port of Saint John. He served in WWII for the Royal Canadian Army, was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Parish, R.C.L. Branch # 53 Jervis Bay and had a great passion for hunting and racing cars. Bert is survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by seven brothers Amos, Cecil, Charles, George, Fred, Albert and Roy, two sisters Mona Webb and Phyllis McIntosh. Ella was born in Scotland on November 7, 1917, She was the daughter of the late Hughie and Mary (Smith) MacCormack and the beloved wife of the late Wellesley Edwin Robinson who passed away in 1990. Ella is survived by her son, Peter and his wife Agnete of Sussex Corner, her daughter Marny Emerson- Robinson of Sussex Corner, her grandson, David Emerson and his wife Ann of Saint John, four great grandchildren, Thomas, Norah, Dennis and Evelyn, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Ella was a former councilor with the Village of Sussex Corner and was also responsible for their Neighborhood Watch program. For many years Mr. Fowle was an active Big Brother and a member of Lundy's Lane United Church. HENRY, EMMETT BERNARD The death of Emmett Bernard Henry of Fredericton, husband of the late Marie B. (Legace) Henry, occurred on Saturday, November 08, 2003 at his residence. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Oliver and Sophie (Vienneau) Henry. Emmett was formerly employed as a mason with Bob Dunphy Ltd. A Veteran of World War II, he was a member of Branch # 4 of the Royal Canadian Legion, and was a member of St. Theresa's Parish. He enjoyed bingo and playing cards. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Emmett is survived by his children, Hector Henry (Bettyanne), Dorothy MacKinnon, all of the Fredericton area, Gladys Brown of Ottawa, Emmett (Junior) Henry (Brenda), James Henry (Carol), John Henry (Nancy), Gordon Henry (Cindy), Peter Henry (Donna) of Fredericton, Danny Henry (Ida), Kathy Donaher (Dean), Shirley Henry (Matthew Paul), Steven Henry, and Rose Henry (Paul Griffiths), all of the Fredericton area; 26 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. LAPOINTE, James Ronald "Jim"-77, Hammonds Plains, passed away November 9, 2003, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Pittsburg, Penn., he was a son of the late James and Eunice (Lawley) Lapointe. He grew up in Sillery Cove, Quebec City. He started work at the age of 14 years then went to sea at the age of 16 years with Department of Transport on ice breakers in the St. Lawrence Seaway. Jim moved to Dartmouth at age 20 and worked for Western Union Cable Company for 12 years. At age 31 Jim changed careers to stay home with his family. For six years he worked during the day and went to school in the night to study industrial refrigeration, with which he worked until his retirement in 1995. Jim was a devoted family man who, with his wife June, raised four children as well as 17 foster children over 15 years. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, the former June Logan; children, Edward (Darlene), David (Linda), Beverly (Barry), Donna (John); grandchildren, David, Nicole, Amanda, Raelena, Evan, Logan, Brittany, Meagan, J.J., Kyle; several nephews and a niece. He was predeceased by his stepfather, John Chester; sister, Lucille; brother, Edward. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. AKERLEY, BESSIE EUGENIA (MACQUARRIE) Was born on February 22, 1909 in Caledonia, Guysborro County, Nova Scotia and passed away November 9, 2003 while residing at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton. She was predeceased by her husband of twenty-five years, Lt. Col. William B. Akerley, PE, RCE. Also predeceased by her father, John Lauchlan MacQuarrie of Caledonia, her mother Mary (Mame) Frances (Bubar) MacQuarrie of Baring Maine; her brother, James MacQuarrie, and sisters, Ethel MacLean, Agnes Fraser and Clara Boddington. She is survived by her son W.J. Brian Akerley (Nancy) of New Maryland, NB, by her daughter A. Suzanne Toole (Frederick) of Saint John, NB and by her grandchildren Anna-Marie Burris (Dayle), James B. Akerley (Monica), William T. Akerley (Sherry), Colleen R. Toole (Colin Nordholt), Erin M.Toole (Ian Rice), and Sean M.F. Toole (special friend Tamara Chase). Bessie is also survived by her great grandchildren Erika R. Mollegaard, Amy E. Mollegaard, Kate O. Burris, Jason J.R. Akerley, Bradley T. Akerley, Emilie L.G. Akerley, Morgan S. Akerley, Caleb G. Akerley, Luca J. Akerley, Garrett W. Akerley, Finn G. Nordholt, and Jack F. Rice. As well as special nieces Mary Kegley-Bucklin, of Wytheville, Virginia,Elma Perry of Brick, New Jersey and many other nieces and nephews throughout much of Eastern North America. Bessie began her early education in Nova Scotia and completed her education in Saint John where she worked as a hairdresser until the time of her marriage in 1939. Later she went on to become a Registered Nursing Assistant. Bessie loved nursing and was dedicated to patient care until the time of her retirement. She was instrumental in establishing the University of New Brunswick William and Edward Akerley Scholarship Fund in 1992. She is noted especially for her mobility, which began with her marriage to Bill when he was employed with the Armed Forces. They traveled back and forth across Canada from Whitehorse, the Yukon, to Montreal, Fredericton and eventually to Oromocto. Bessie lived in what may be a record number of places during her lifetime, if only someone had kept count. Bessie enjoyed playing bridge, cooking, gardening, crocheting, knitting and sewing. She also had a great love for cats. She was a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a very large circle of friends, many of whom predeceased her and she will be missed by all who loved her. At Bessie's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Tuesday, November 11, at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
