Eleanor Geikie SOUTH NELSON, NB - The death of Eleanor Joyce (McGill) (Fawcett) Geikie wife of Byron Geikie of Route 118, South Nelson, NB. occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Thursday November 6, 2003 at the age of 66. Born in Tracy NB, Eleanor is the daughter of Hugh and Grace (Mullin) McGill. Eleanor grew up in East Saint John and attended Grammar School Simonds High. She was employed with NBTel from 1953-1961. She took time off in the work force to stay home to raise her family and then returned to the work force in 1972 and retired as Deli Manager of Sobey's. She leaves behind a loving, caring, and best friend, her husband Byron and their little dog, companion Precious. Two daughters, Allyson (Gordon Beauchamp) of Woodstock, ON and SherylLea; two sons, Peter Fawcett and Hugh Fawcett (April) all of Woodstock, ON; one sister, Hazel (Steve Gaudet) of Saint John, NB; six grandchildren, Marcus, Adam, Ashely, Sabrina, Malisa and Robert and one niece, Heather (Donnie White) and children and nephew John (Kelly) Holland and children. James R. Henderson 1922-2003 SACKVILLE, N.B.- James R. Henderson, age 81, of Sackville, N.B., passed away on Friday, November 7, 2003 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Born in Sackville, N.B., on October 25, 1922, he was the son of the late R.G. and Helen (Ford) Henderson. James was a graduate of the Pharmacy College at Dalhousie University and immediately following his graduation, he joined the Fleet Air Arm in the latter years of the Second World War. He returned home to join his brother John in taking over the pharmacy established by his father. James was a lifelong Pharmacist and operated drugstores in Sackville, Port Elgin, Parrsboro and Halifax. He served as coroner in the Sackville area for ten years and was at one time President of the New Brunswick Pharmaceutical Association. He was a founding member of the Sackville Curling Club and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. James took an active role in the Sackville Community Association with things such as chairing the Food Bank and Christmas Cheer committees. He was an active golfer and member of the Sackville Golf and Country Club and an avid curler. In later years he devoted much of his time to his passion for growing roses. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 55 years Doreen (Keating) Henderson of Sackville, N.B.; one daughter Jane Christine of Baie D'Urfe, Quebec; one son David of Sackville, N.B.; one sister Poppy (Robert) Hazelhurst of Sackville, N.B. and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents R.G. and Helen (Ford) Henderson and his brother John. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will be held at Campbell's Funeral Home on Saturday, November 8, 2003 from 6 to 8 P.M. with a Masonic Lodge Service being held at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be held from the funeral home on Sunday, November 9, 2003 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dr. Jamie Gripton officiating. 1905-2003 Peacefully, in his own home, in Ottawa, on November 6, 2003, at the age of 98. Devoted husband of 71 years to the late Daisy Tsoi-Luen. Beloved father of Dr. Christine Ma (Dr. Vincent Ma) of Hong Kong, the late Cho-Yee Chan (late Elsa Poon) and Po-Yee Lee (Shing-Kwong Lee) of Ottawa. Proud grandfather of Ann Ma (Chi-Lun Choi) of Hong Kong, Dr. Benjamin Ma (Dr. Anita Sit) of California, Christopher Ma (Priscilla Chan) of Hong Kong; Tak-Hin Chan of Vancouver, Dr. Su-Han Chan (Laurie Poon) and Wai-Han Chan (Kenneth Chan) of California; Dennis Lee (Etty Shin) of Boston, and Eugene Lee of Waterloo. Loving great-grandfather of Solomon Choi, Gabrielle Ma, and Jamisen Ma. Special brother and uncle to many relatives around the world. Cecil was the first son born to Chan Tong and Madame Hui at 21 Caine Road, Hong Kong. As a young boy, he excelled at the Diocesan Boys School (1919-1925), and loved soccer, tennis, motorcycles and hunting. He married Daisy in 1930 and raised their children and Cho-Yee's children at 98 Kennedy Road, Hong Kong. The family often went to the cottage at South Bay and swam in the ocean. His career started as an accountant at Lowe, Bingham & Matthews, and later succeeded his father as a purchasing officer at The Dairy Farm, and as a Financial Controller at the family business, United Delivery, until his retirement at age 68. He then travelled to Europe, Australia, U.S., and South East Asia before settling down in Canada with Daisy, and made more friends in the new country. Cecil enjoyed perfect health, excellent memory and led a highly disciplined lifestyle. During World War II, Cecil fought courageously and was proud to defend China. He rescued downed allied pilots and operated radio services, while assigned to the Air Ground Forces Research and Technical Staff of the Office of the Strategic Services under Lincoln S.H. Kan. He served the U.S. Army 14th Air Force under the direction of Captain Charles Fenn. After the war, Cecil volunteered at the Controller Transport Unit of the Civic Aid Service, and was awarded the Civic Defence Long-Service Medal. He was a Mason of the Pearl River Lodge no.3 of China, and a lifetime member of the prestigious Hong Kong Jockey Club. Cecil gave generously to charity, including foundations at the Civic Hospital, Queensway-Carleton Hospital and Buddhist Temples in Toronto and Sik Sik Yuen. Po-Yee and Shing-Kwong will receive friends at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Monday, November 10, 2003 from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, November 11 from 11 a.m. until a farewell gathering in the Chapel at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cecil to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Frank Bowes of Barrie in his 87th year, predeceased by his loving wife of sixty years Jean (December 2001). He was dearly loved by his three children and their spouses Allan and Leona Bowes of Orleans, Anne and Dr. Stephen Meda of Toronto, Bruce and Donna Bowes of Mississauga. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Christie, Keith (Sheila), Cliff (April), Devon and Colin. Also saddened by his loss are great grandchildren Evelyn and Garret, Hope and Scott Bowes. He especially enjoyed the company of Lenke who was his dancing partner and special friend during the last year and a half. He is survived by his sister Ina Rogers of Fort Qu'Appelle. Jean Pierre Moerenhout 1943 - 2003 The death of Jean Pierre Moerenhout, husband of Vickie Milburn, of Newton Street Moncton occurred Thursday November 6, 2003 at his residence following a short illness. Born in Schaerbeek, Belgium on August 18 1943 he was the son of Jean Pierre and Marie Louise (Baeskens) Moerenhout. Jean Pierre's passion was cooking and he worked at several locations in the Moncton area most recently at the YMCA. A very talented cook he enjoyed sharing his cooking tips and secrets with anyone who was interested. He is survived by his wife Vickie; one son Stefan Yvan Moerenhout of Fredericton; a step-daughter Misty Dawn Milburn of Moncton; brothers and sisters in law Vonda Milburn (Donnie); Verne Milburn (JoAnn); Terry Milburn; Stephen Milburn (Kim) and several nieces and nephews. Francis "Bud" Heaney A lifelong resident of the Kingston area passed away suddenly Saturday November 1, 2003 at the age of 77. Loving husband of Jean (Berry) he was the son of the late John and Mary Heaney. Bud was a member of the Knights of Columbus and attended St. Barnaby's Church at Brewers Mills. In younger years he was the rural mail courier in the Kingston Mills area. He passed along his delivery route to his wife Jean so he could take a position at Alcan. 30+ years later he retired from Alcan and again assisted Jean with the route until he landed a part time job as a parking attendant with the City of Kingston. Bud retired from the City on Friday October 31st, only to pass away the following day. Bud is survived by his wife Jean, an d daughters Marie and Kathy both of Edmonton, brother Robert (Nadine) of Inverary and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Leo and Jack. The funeral was held November 5, 2003 with Father Gazeley officiating. Hon orary pallbearers Bill Hess, Jack Baker and Dick Samiss. Pallbearers were Bob Heaney Jr., Al Dunlop, David McCaugherty, Don Shillington, Max Piribauer, and Jeff McDiarmid. Rino Lizotte À l’Hôpital Régional d’Edmundston, le jeudi 6 novembre 2003, à l’âge de 74 ans, est décédé Rino Lizotte, époux de Florence Roberge, domicilié à Drummond. Né à Drummond en 1929, il était fils de feu Michel Lizotte et de feu Ida Morin. Il a été précédé par deux frères, Camille et Léonil et une soeur, Irma. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil trois fils, Renald (Sylvie Levesque) de Grand-Sault, Réal (Patsy Lizotte) de Saint-André et Robert (Natalie Ouellette) de Grand-Sault, deux petits-enfants, Michael et Nakita, une soeur, Ella Deschene (Léo) de Four Falls, ainsi que des neveux et nièces. Arthur G. Currie SALISBURY, NB - Arthur Gordon Currie , 81, of Salisbury passed away Thursday November 6, 2003 at the Moncton Hospital. Born at Woodstock he was a son of the late Robert E. and Grace (Williams ) Currie. Arthur was a Veteran of the Second World War having served with the RCAF in Continental Europe and Africa as a wireless operator. He retired from the Federal Government as a Adjudicator with the Employment Insurance Department. He was a member of The Salisbury United Church, a life member of the Riverview Veteran's Association, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 31, Salisbury and the Senior Hamm Radio Operator's Club (VE1HW). Survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Jean (Ash); daughter Kimberly Leffley (Terry) of Salisbury; cherished granddaughters, Kristen and Holly Leffley; a dear sister Muriel Cluff of Woodstock and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Linda Lee Currie (1974) and brothers Robert and Ralph Currie. (1924 - 2003) Le frère Jean-Louis Gonneville, clerc de Saint-Viateur, est décédé au Centre Champagneur de Joliette, le 7 novembre 2003, à l'âge de 79 ans, dans sa 60e année de profession religieuse. Né à Montréal, le 1er juillet 1924, le frère Gonneville a prononcé ses premiers voeux chez les Clercs de Saint-Viateur le 15 août 1944. Après avoir complété sa formation professionnelle à l'École Normale Saint-Viateur de Rigaud, le frère Gonneville a enseigné pendant une quinzaine d'année dans diverses écoles de Montréal. En 1962, on lui confie la pastorale des vocations et à partir de 1967, il assumera des responsabilités administratives dans diverses maisons d'enseignement dont 6 ans à l'Institut Louis-Braille et 5 ans au Collège Bourget de Rigaud. De 1982 à 1999, il sera directeur des religieux principalement à la Résidence Saint-Laurent (12 ans) et à la Résidence Louis-Querbes (4 ans). Récemêment, son état de santé l'a obligé à se retirer à l'infirmerie du Centre Champagneur. Tout au long de sa vie active, le frère Gonneville a eu le souci de parfaire sa formation pour mieux répondre aux responsabilités qu'on lui confiait. Il a donc fait des études ou des stages en sciences religieuses, en orientation, en enfance inadaptée visuelle et en gérontologie. Outre sa famille religieuse, il laisse dans le deuil ses belles-soeurs ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Le frère Gonneville sera exposé à laMaison provinciale des Clercs de Saint-Viateur 450, av. Querbes, Outremont Tél.: 514-274-3624le dimanche 9 novembre de 14 h à 17 h et de 19 h à 21 h.
