BAUDOUX, Daphne Mary-Big Island, Merigomish, passed away September 30, 2003. Born in London, England in 1922, she was the daughter of the Right Honourable Sir John Gilmour and Lady Violet (Lambert) Gilmour of Montrave, Fife, Scotland. Daphne served in the Second World War as a VAD nurse. She married Everett in 1943 and came to Canada as a war bridge with their daughter, Patricia in 1946. Her commitment to the environment and the well-being of nature's creatures was important to all her relationships. Daphne was an avid organic gardener, compulsive tree planter and faithful feeder of birds. She was a founding member of the Board of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Pictou County and a volunteer instructor with Laubach Literacy International. Her life's focus was family and the environment. She was a staunch quiet supporter of many community organizations. Daphne is survived by her husband, Group Captain (Ret'd), Everett; daughter, Jane (Lewis) MacKay, Dartmouth; son, Michael (Carol), New Glasgow; son-in-law, Raymond Docker, Pictou Island; grandchildren, Thomas (Rolanda) Bernard-Docker, Banff; Philip Docker, Big Island; Amy, Hong Kong; Jeff MacKay, Toronto; Kate Baudoux, New Glasgow; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Seth and Island Bernard-Docker, Banff; brother, Sir John Gilmour; sister, Dame Anne Bryans, Fife, Scotland. She was predeceased by daughter, Patricia. Her remains have been cremated. Interment is at a later date. There will be a gathering to celebrate Daphne's life with family and friends on Saturday, October 11 at 2 p.m. at their Big Island home. GEORGE JOSEPH RAYMOND GOULET After a lengthy illness Georgie Goulet of Winnipeg passed away at the age of 58 years at Ste. Anne Hospital on September 29, 2003. Georgie is survived by his loving wife Heather and his sons, Garry (Debbie), Darren (Nicole), Sammy (Kathy), Chase, and 8 and a half grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Vic (Diane), Paul (Evelyn), Eva (Al), Edmond, Art (Cheryl), Shirley (Gilles) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his son Richard; mother Laura Lamoureaux and brother Rene. Georgie was born in La Broquerie, MB. He worked as a shipper/receiver in the roofing material industry until 1995 when he became ill. Georgie loved to dance and garden. He was very fond of his frog collection. CORNFIELD, W. JAMES A. - Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital the death of Wilbur James Albert (Jim) Cornfield occurred on Friday September 12, 2003 at the age of 77. Loving husband of Margaret I. (Sanford) and a son of the late Henry and Jessie (Gates) Cornfield. Jim was employed with T.S. Simms for 32 years and the Town of Sussex for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Saint George's Anglican Church. Jim greatly treasured his children, grand children and great grandchildren. Besides his wife (Bella), he is survived by two daughters Patricia (Michael) Cosman of Saint John and Joanne (John) Park of Saint John, six grandchildren, Marc (Kathy) Mullin of Sussex, Brent (Karen) Mullin of Norton, Shawn McLaughlin of Saint John, Robert Cosman of Halifax, Melissa Park and Joshua Park both of Saint John, three great grandchildren John (Jacob), Anthony (James) and Branden (Joel) Mullin all of Sussex. Also survived by brothers John Cornfield (Vivian) and George Cornfield (Dorothy) both of Saint John, Vernon Cornfield (Eileen) of P.E.I and Murray Cornfield (Norma) of Rothesay, sister Jessie Byers of Oromocto and several nieces and nephews. In the first minutes of his 80th birthday, October 1st, 2003, while in the Ottawa Civic Hospital, Marc slipped away from us very peacefully, but for those who knew and loved him, far too soon. He was the eldest son of the late Eugene Gaudreau and the late Fleur-Ange Comeau. Marc was known for his love of people, especially his family and their friends and children, his quixotic sense of humor, and the very uniqueness that was Marc. He was the beloved husband of Shirley (nee Chisholm) and the adored father of Greg (Karen), D'Arcy (Teri) and Alison (Michel Nobert), and irreplaceable Papa to Jeffrey, Skylar, Austyn, Kelsey, and Heather. He was the loving brother of the late Annette (Jean-Marie Myre) and Raymonde (Ben Allard), Gatineau, QC. Gilles Boudreau 1950 - 2003 SHEDIAC, NB - Gilles Boudreau, 52, of Shediac, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday September 30, 2003. Born in Shediac, he was the son of Edmond Boudreau and Hélène Belliveau. He will be sadly missed by his parents who lovingly cared for Gilles all of his life; three brothers, Claude and his wife Michelle of Shediac, Michel of Shediac, Marc and his wife Monette of Dieppe, sister in-law Janice of Dieppe; nephews, Yves, Jacques, Daniel, Eric; nieces, Janel and Kristel. He was predeceased by a brother Pierre in September 1999. By family request there will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2003 at St-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac. Interment in the parish cemetery. There will be a reception at the Pastoral Center following the funeral mass. In his memory flowers and memorial tributes accepted at Frenette Funeral Home 396 Main Street, Shediac ( 532-3297 ). RIVET, Aldège (1923 - 2003) - Passed away peacefully at the West Nipissing General Hospital, on Monday, September 29, 2003 at the age of 80. Cherished husband of Thérèse (née Lavigne) and loving father of Bella (Maurice Larivière), Rosa (Albert Desgroseilliers) and Suzanne Desgroseilliers. Sadly misssed and lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Lionel, of Crystal Falls, Sylvio of Oshawa and Laurent Jr. of Ottawa, Lina, Cécile (Camille Bigras) and Thérèse, all of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by six brothers: Armand, Donat, Simon, Rodolphe, Rosario and Laurent Sr. and by one sister Florence. Aldège served in World War II (1939 - 1945) and he worked for the Public Service for 36 years. At his request, no visitation. Reverend Jean-Claude Lefebvre will celebrate the memorial service at the Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Church, in Crystal Falls, on Saturday, October 4, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the West Nipissing General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
