Took his final curtain call on Saturday, August 16, 2003. He had cancer and died at Desert Regional Hospital in Palm Springs. He was 82 years old. He was born in Toronto, ON on May 10, 1921 to Winnifred Willcock and Herbert Winstone. He served four years in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He enlisted for pilot training but ended up in the All Clear Show, acting, singing, and writing the lyrics to two of the show's songs. He met his wife Marie Paquin of Ottawa who was also in the show as a dancer. They toured eastern Canada, Newfoundland, Labrador and from there went overseas, toured England, Scotland and Northern Ireland then days after VJ Day went to Germany, France, Belgium and to visit the Belsen Concentration Camp and entertained. They married in London, England and had twins a year later, Christopher and Wendy. He played in many community theatre productions and worked many nightclubs. He leaves behind his wife Marie, son Christopher, 6 grandchildren, Scott (Cam), Kevin, Stacey, Brett, Allison Coveyou. Also Cindy (Preston) Knowlton. Great-grandchildren Alexander Coveyou and Jaymie Knowlton; nephews Thomas O'Connor of Troy, MI and Donald O'Connor of Maui, HI, niece Gigi Denis, Cold Lake, AB. He was predeceased by two daughters Wendy Coveyou and an infant Jill Winstone.

Q.C. Peacefully after a brief illness, in his 79th year on Thursday, August 28, 2003, in Ottawa. Beloved husband of the late Lucy Frances Browne. Cherished father of Anne (Ralph Hall) of Minnesota, Walter (Patricia Miles), Sheilagh (Gordon Hagar) and Rocky, all of Ottawa. Loving grandfather of Laura Regan, Tracy Braun, Michael Braun, Stephanie Hall and Diane Hall. Dear brother of Sister Maureen Regan, S.C., of Halifax, and Gerald A. Regan, P.C., Q.C., of Bedford. Dear friend of Desiree Chung, of Ottawa. Predeceased by his parents Walter E. Regan and Rose M. Greene, and his sister Greta Regan and his brother James B. Regan. Born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, on December 26, 1924, he completed the Canadian Army University Course at Acadia (1943-1944) and fought in the Second World War, serving with the Artillery in the Canadian Army in the liberation of the Netherlands and subsequently in Germany. He graduated with a law degree from Dalhousie University in 1951, practicing law privately in Nova Scotia and subsequently in the public service in Ottawa where he settled to raise a family. Following a number of years of distinguished service with the Department of Justice, in 1981 he was appointed Queen's Counsel by the Government of Canada. He was also called to the Ontario Bar in 1985. Following retirement, he continued his interest in law, and enjoyed literature, playing tennis and long walks with his dog Norton. Friends may visit at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street, Ottawa on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, 100 Young Street, Ottawa on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery. (nee Burns) June 21, 1927 - August 28, 2003 With profound sadness we announce the passing of Eleanor Stinson on August 28, 2003 in Ottawa. Eleanor was a long time resident of Port Hope, Ontario. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Eleanor is survived by her daughter Jane (Geoff) and their son Joey of Ottawa; her son Dave of Edmonton; her sisters, Noreen O'Shea, Reta Burns, and Barbara Robertson; her brothers, Buddy, Gerald, Raymond and Bobby (predeceased) as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, Sepember 2 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Pinecrest Visitation Center (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa). A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, September 3 at 2 p.m. at the Pinecrest Chapel followed by a reception. Cremation has taken place. PHYLLIS BISSONNETTE (nee FEYERIESEN) July 17, 1924-August 28, 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis (Nan) Bissonnette of Winnipeg, MB on August 28, 2003. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Raye; son George (Nancy); grandchildren, Dee (Marie-Line), Brigitte, Jonah, Nathan (Sarah), River, Ray and great-grandchild Elijah. She also leaves to mourn her passing brother Bud (Arlene) and sister Dell (Joe). Her parents, Ray and Alice Feyeriesen and sister Jean predeceased Phyllis. Nan was an incredibly strong woman who was always there for her family. She was a true individual who taught us love, loyalty, compassion, acceptance, fortitude, perseverance and above all, faith and devotion to family. Nan, you have touched all of our lives in ways that we are eternally grateful for. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the nursing staff of Misericordia Hospital (floors 5 and 6) in particular Cathy (Occupational Therapy), Ivy of the Victoria Hospital (3rd floor) and Riverview Palliative Care (3 East). HOWE, Elinore (Kerouac)(nee Sherman) Suddenly at her residence in Kingsville on Thursday, August 28, 2003 at the age of 83 years. Beloved daughter of the late Ina and Gordon Sherman. Predeceased by her husband Archie Howe (1976), daughter Cheryl Wood (1994), grandson Randy Howe (1977) and also predeceased by six brothers and sisters. NORMA LAFERRIERE (nee BURNELL) On Thursday, August 28, 2003, Norma, dearly beloved wife of the late Charles Laferriere, passed away at the Selkirk General Hospital. She is survived by her children, Gail (Don), Gerald (Cheryl), Kerry Guay (Rhonda); grandchildren, Kelly and Danielle; and Sylvia; as well as siblings in Manitoba and Alberta. Norma was born in Strathclair and was a nurse at the Selkirk General Hospital for many years before retiring in 1989. In compliance with Norma's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Many thanks to former co-workers for their care and concern and to the ambulance, emergency and ward staff for their hugs and love. Also, thanks to Dr Graham Fuchs, Dr. Irma Reich, Anne McRae, Edie and Orville Marshall, Nita and Len Williams and the wonderful Home Care staff.
