With heavy hearts, the family of Ron Lewis announce his passing on July 2, 2003 at the age of 52, after a courageous 10 month battle with lymphoma. A lifelong athlete, Ron's greatest passion was road cycling. He was a member of the Ottawa Bicycle Club and avidly participated in the racing program. His passion for the sport and his tough, competitive nature will be sorely missed by the cycling community. His hard work and sense of humour will also be missed by friends, co-workers and customers of Johnson Controls Ltd. It was Ron's wish that no funeral service be held. JOHNSON, Margaret Joan (nee Buchanan) Died peacefully with her family by her side at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital on June 30, 2003. She had fought bravely against cancer for three years. Joan will be missed by her beloved husband Robert Creighton, her children, Anne, David, and Margaret, and their spouses Colin, Jo-Anne, and Robert. Grandchildren Angela, Brian, Nicola, Nathalie, and little Conor will cherish memories of `Nana'. She will be missed also by her second family, Ainslie, John, Barb ara, Tom, and Bill Creighton. Joan was a generous person who brought joy to many lives. She was fortunate to have found love twice during her life. She was first married to the late Gregory Allan Johnson (1920-1985). She married Robert Creighton in 1 993. Joan and Bob enjoyed travelling and golfing together for several years. When her illness prevented her from enjoying sports as she had, Joan continued to garden and care for animals, from family pets to the deer, squirrels, and birds at her back door. At Joan's request, a private family memorial was held July 2. Surviving are daughter, Rachel (Renald) Larrivée, St. Hyacinthe, Que.; sister-in-law, Evelyn Larade, Cheticamp; nieces, Mary Jane Lever, New Waterford; Lise Roach, Marjolaine Muise; Gilberte Larade, Jeanne LeBlanc, Jeannine Chiasson, all of Cheticamp; nephews, Nicholas Chiasson, Jean Maurice Chiasson, Cheticamp. She was predeceased by her husband, Amedee Boudreau; brothers, Jimmy, Willie, Alex, LouBie, Wilfred; sisters, Mary Jane, Christiane. Cremation has taken place. Edmond J. Caissie 1921 -2003 ROGERSVILLE, NB-At the Miramichi Regional Hospital, Sunday July 6, 2003, at the age of 82 yrs, passed away Edmond J. Caissie, husband of MarieAnne Goguen, from Rogersville. Born May 28, 1921, he was the son of the late Edmond (Eddy) Caissie and the late Madeleine Chiasson. He his survived by two daughters, Doris (John Baskerville) from British Columbia and Claire (Normand Gallant) from Rogersville; seven sons, George Caissie (Rose) from Timberlea NS, Mederic Caissie (Rayona) from Lower Sackville NS, Gilles Caissie (Majella) from Irishtown, Ronald Caissie from Seabright NS, Robert Caissie (Lisa) from Lower Sackville NS, Richard Caissie (Brigitte) and Stephen Caissie (Tracy) both from Comox BC; three sisters, Marie (late Eugene Caissie) from Rogersville, Anna (Eugene Doiron) from Dieppe and Catherine (Alyre Doucette) from the United State; four brothers: Calixte (Leonie) and Eugene, both from Rogersville, Fred from Doaktown and Abel from Rogersville; one sister in-law, Arphinie (late Mederic from the United State); 18 grand children and many nieces and nephew. LeLIEVRE, Lawrence Dominic-83, Inverary Manor and formerly of 57 MacIsaac St., passed away Sunday, July 6, 2003, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital, Inverness, after many years of ill health. Born in St. Joseph du Moine, he was a son of the late Jean D. LeLievre and Marie LeBlanc (Grand Etang, Inverness Co.). He was a member of Stella Maris Parish, where he served as auxiliary minister for a number of years. He served an an Eucharist Minister for the visit of Pope John Paul II in Halifax in 1984. He was also a certified Roman Catholic religious teacher. Lawrence was an honorary life member of K.O.C. and a 4th Degree Knight. He was educated at Grand Etang and attended Clerk's School in New Glasgow in 1941, while employed as an insurance officer at the Canada Employment Centre. He completed courses in computer and business administration at Loyal University, where he served for 41 years. He served many years as volunteer treasurer for Filine Credit Union, Inverness, the Royal Canadian Legion and K.O.C. He served as administrator for Shean Co-op and Stella Maris Parish. Lawrence was a veteran of the Second World War, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 132, Inverness. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Ann LeLievre; daughter, Dyney Catherine Gillis; son, Lawrence Robert LeLievre; sisters, Miss Denathilde LeLievre, Mrs. Lucy Mae Delaney; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Joseph Daniel, Robert Allan and Lawrence Alexander Gillis. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Mrs. Bernadette Doucet, Mrs. Bertha Power, Dyney LeLievre, Sister Annabelle F. deJ, Mary Hines; brother, Conrad LeLievre. Claudia was a member of Dame de St. Anne and a life time member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife and mother. Age 60, of McCrosky Pike, Harrodsburg, KY, formerly of Bellingham, MA and Brampton, Ontario, Canada died Saturday, July 5, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was the son of the late Ernest V. and Evelyn Pitt Carss. He was born April 12, 1943 in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. He was a self employed horse trainer. He was a member, director and judge of the American Hackney Society; a member of the United Professional Horseman Assoc., the Canadian Hackney Assoc.; American Road Horse and Pony Assoc.; and a recognized judge for the U.S. Equestrian Federation. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Sandra Chamberlain Carss; four children, Shelley Carss and Andrew Carss, both of Brampton, Ontario, Rebecca and Dylan Carss, both of Harrodsburg, KY; three sisters, Betty Boxma and her husband Gary of Ivy Lea, Ontario, Judy Patterson and her husband George of Ajax, Ontario, Vivian Carss-Smith and her husband Syd of Pembroke, Ontario; two brothers, Robert Carss and his wife Norma of Edwards, Ontario, and Rodney Carss and his wife Lynn of Kanata, Ontario; his first wife, Joan Carss of Brampton, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday (July 9, 2003) at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 North Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY with Rev. Jimmy Owens officiating. Predeceased by her devoted husband Carroll Edward Cisco. Daughter of the late Ora and Ethel Bartlow and sister to the late John Bartlow all of Illinois. Loving, caring and eternal mother of Scott (Gloria) of Hastings, Stuart (Rose Marie) of Warsaw, Cynthia (Gerry) Moore of Peterborough, John of Quebec City, Brent (Toni) of Calgary, Craig (Carolyn) of Peterborough, Cole of Peterborough, Sarah (late Frank) Sullivan of Ennismore, Catherine of Peterborough and her grandchildren Michael, Allison, Scott, Aaron, Austin, Meagan, Matthew, Benjamin, Hannah, Elizabeth, Louis and Catherine and her great-grandchildren Liam and Erik.
