1917 - 2003. In Laval on July 4, 2003, at the age of eighty-five, passed away Otis Cook, son of the late Percy Cook and the late Belle Smeltzer. Husband of the late Simone Gaze. He leaves to mourn his sons Gary, Robert (Judy Mundy) and Allan (Diane Duval), grandchildren Jason and Jennifer, brother Carl, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends. The family will receive condolences on Sunday, July 13, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the St-Martin Mausoleum, building behind 2159 St-Martin Blvd. East, Duvernay, Laval 270-3112. A liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Donations to the Alzheimer would be appreciated.

LeBLANC, JAMES ARTHUR-Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B. on Saturday, July 5, 2003, Mr. James Arthur LeBlanc, husband of Clare (Aube) LeBlanc and the late Mary (Thibault) LeBlanc of Caithness, N.B.. Born in Gloucester, Mass. on August 29, 1911, he was a son of the late A. Emery and Catherine (Robichaud) LeBlanc. A loving husband, father and grandfather, James is survived besides his wife by: two sons: Ernest (Joanne) and Carmen (Audrey) both of Caithness, two daughters: Eileen (Marven) Leeman of Back Bay and Elsie Manzer of Caithness, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, one brother: Medley LeBlanc of Saint John, one sister: Catherine Lloyd of London, Ontario and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister: Victoria. Prior to his retirement, James was a self employed Laborer who worked at many jobs. He was a hard worker all his life. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid musician and loved to play the violin. He also was a member of St. Georges Roman Catholic Church. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George, N.B. with visiting at the funeral home on Sunday from 7-9 pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Georges Roman Catholic Church followed by interment in the church cemetery. Vigil prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 2:00 pm. In James memory, donations to the St. Georges Roman Catholic Church Building Fund or the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Dear brother of Lucien (wife Yvette), Rita Campeau (husband Bernard), Thérèse Simpson (husband George predeceased), Yvonne Ouellette (husband Rolland) all of Sudbury and Maurice (wife Réjeanne predeceased) of Azilda. Predeceased by his sister Hermline Gauvin (husband Joseph predeceased). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his grandson Billy. She is lovingly remembered by her four children Les, Rick, Bruce and Mary Ellen, daughters-in-law Cecile, Inara and Wendy, her grandchildren Lauren, Abigail, Rebecca, Ryan, Mark and Sebastian and also Zachary. Betty is survived by her sister-in-law Catherine Durling of Chilliwack, her brother-in-law Lawrence Dunning of Brockville, her sister-in-law Betty Bangs of Bells Corners and by many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. The Funeral Service will be held at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Saturday July 12, 2003 at 2 p.m. followed by a private family interment at Dales Cemetery. Né le 16 juin 1929, il était fils de feu Léandre Noël et de feu Anastasie Haché. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil trois filles: Lise et Mireille, toutes deux de Montréal et Brigitte (Gilles Larocque) de Shippagan; deux fils: André (Monique) et Eloi (Elisie), tous deux de Six Roads; deux soeurs: Laura (sa marraine) de Sainte-Rose et Evangeline de Montréal; deux frères: Robert de Six Roads et Albanie de Montréal; quatre petits-enfants: Caroline Laporte de Montréal, Jean-Rémi, Maxime et Chloé Noël, tous de Six Roads; son parrain, Armand Boudreau, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Un fils, Marc (1975); une fille, Annette (1995); deux frères: Donat et Jean-Paul, ainsi que cinq soeurs: Julia, Philomène, Thérèse, Berthe et Patricia, l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
