Normand Maillet 1952 - 2003 Normand Maillet, 50, of Moncton, formerly of Lakeburn, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2003 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Lakeburn, he was the son of Madeleine Maillet and the late Hilaire Maillet. Besides his mother, Madeleine of Moncton, he is survived by two sisters, Rose-Marie Gallant of Moncton and Linda Dewitt of Dieppe; three brothers, Léo-Paul (Marguerite), Roger and Jean-Guy, all three of Dieppe as well as two nephews, Raymond and Adam and also by one niece Lisa. Mr. Maillet was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond and Gérard and by one niece Bernice. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church, (Lakeburn) on Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Yvonne Leger Yvonne Leger, 87, foyer du Marais, Dieppe passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in St-Joseph, February 14, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Willie Leger and the late Exelda LeBlanc. She is survived by a brother Joseph (Venolia) Leger of Moncton and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Marie and Nelida and four brothers, Pierre, Vital, Alfred and Dollard. After a brief six and a half weeks at the General Campus N.I.C.U. Christina and Scott are greatly saddened to announce the passing of Ethan Andrew. KIRKWOOD, Melanie, Rebecca "Becky" In loving memory of Melanie Kirkwood, 30 years of Sudbury, who passed away Saturday morning, January 25, 2003 on Hwy 69 South near Britt. She was born in Sudbury and she had graduated from LoEllen Secondary School, and then graduated from the University of Toronto, She had been director of Social Convening at the Erindale Campus at U. of T. Becky moved to Mississauga in 1993 from Sudbury. She was director of sales and administration at Petcase Insurance Co. Becky had an incredible work ethic which led her down her never-ending journey for success. She was an avid reader and studied different languages. She was instrumental in organizing the World Lacrosse Championship in Japan in 1998 where she managed the Canadian Junior Lacrosse team. Always a physically active person, she enjoyed curling. Becky had a great love for her siblings and would come to their aid at a moment’s notice. She loved the solitude of Fairbanks Lake where she spent many happy leisure hours. Even in the darkness of this tragedy the light of Becky’s life shines brightly to bring comfort to her loving family and many friends. Beloved daughter of Don and Judy Kirkwood of Sudbury; Patricia and Roger Gorham of Sudbury. Loving sister of Kimberly Ann Kirkwood-Worthing (husband Geoffrey) of Kanata and Katherine Tiffany Kirkwood of Richmond Hill, Matthew and Adam Kirkwood, both of Sudbury. Cherished aunt to Justin.
