Much loved grandmother of Katie Mitchell (Andrew Robinson) and great-grandmother of Graham Robinson. Beloved wife of the late Paul E.V. Peters. Predeceased by her stepdaughter Paula Coxon (Howard). PRUD'HOMME, Yvette 1909 - 2002 Heureuse de retrouver les siens et sereinement est retournée vers le Père dame Yvette Prud'homme, née le 11 novembre 1909. Elle était la fille de Napoléon Prud'homme et d'Armandine Mireault. Pendant des années elle fut présidente respectée et aimée du syndicat des travailleurs et travailleuses de la compagnie Johnson et Johnson de Montréal. Par son dévouement remarquable ses 30 dernières années se sont passées au service des siens que la maladie et la vieillesse conduisirent vers le Seigneur. Sa riche personnalité attachante nous manquera. Elle laisse pour la pleurer et la regretter, des cousines et d'innombrables amis(es) dont la famille Campeau. Nous tenons à remercier vivement tout le personnel du centre d'accueil La Pinière pour leurs remarquables soins et surtout pour leur chaleureuse présence auprès de dame Prud'homme. (Retired S/Sgt. RCMP) He fought a long, hard battle against a relentless enemy. Jack passed away at home on Saturday June 8, 2002 in the presence of his family. He will be greatly missed by his wife Carol, his daughter Chris, Ottawa and his son Doug (Melanie) of Burlington, On. His grandchildren Mitchell and Samantha will miss their "Papa" - his smiles, his jokes, horseback riding, ATV and tractor rides. Jack is the son of Germaine and the late Wilfred Mathieu, Ottawa, his brothers Henri (Susan) of Aylmer, QC, Gilles (Sharlyne), Dunrobin, On. and his sisters Madeleine (Jack Wilson), Fenelon Falls, On, Louise (Georges Richer), Ottawa, Rollande (Neil MacCrimmon) Ottawa, and Therese (Rene Charron) Ottawa. He was the cherished son-in-law of Flora Balliet of Regina, SK, brother-in-law of Shirley Sullivan, Grand Blanc, MI and special uncle to all her children, Barry and Sandra Balliet, Regina SK plus numerous other nieces and nephews. Jack had a 30 year career as a police officer. Most of his time was served in the "C" Division (Montreal) and "A" Division (Ottawa). After he retired he joined CSIS for 2 years. Jack loved the outdoors. He became a ski instructor at Mont Cascades and Pakenham and enjoyed his weekends skiing with the Canadian Association of Disabled Skiers at Edelweiss. The Mathieu family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Joan and James Penney, the nurses and homecare who helped ease the burden during this difficult time. LeMOYNE, Roy Emile À Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, le 4 juin 2002, à l’âge de 81 ans, est décédé M. Roy Emile LeMoyne, époux bien-aimé de Beryl Robinson. Roy LeMoyne est né à Lafleche, Saskatchewan, le 4 juillet 1920. Il étudia l’architecture à l’Université McGill après avoir servi dans la RCAF de 1942 à 45. Il a débuté sa carrière d’architecte avec la firme Rother Bland Trudeau en 1952, et il prit sa retraite de la firme LeMoyne Lapointe Magne en 1995. PELLATT, William Norman In loving memory of William Norman Pellatt, 88 years, of Garson, who passed away Saturday morning, June 8th, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Born in Scarborough, he married Retah (Eckardt) in 1939 in Stouffville. William came to the Sudbury area in 1943. He was a miner at Falconbridge Ltd. retiring in 1977 with 28 years service. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed travelling, camping and fishing. Norm was devoted to his loving family. Beloved husband of Retah (Eckardt) Pellatt of Garson. A devout Roman Catholic she belonged to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She enjoyed knitting and crochetting. An excellent cook, she was happiest hosting family dinners. Alma was dedicated to her home and the main focus of her life was her loving family. She took great pride and interest in their activities and accomplishments. Alice Louisa Moore (nee Kay) Of Greer Street, Kingston, passed away on May 28, 2002, after a brief illness. She was 77. Alice was born in Vasey, Ontario, the daughter of the late Robert Kay and Ida Handy. She had lived in the Kingston area for over 50 years. Alice was a homemaker, and had also worked in the kitchen at KGH and the Crothers Cookie Factory. She went to Links Mills Public School and Millhaven Public School. Alice attended Evangel Pentecostal Church where she enjoyed Christmas Concerts and other special events. She was also a member of the Seniors Association of Kingston. Alice is survived by her daughter Florence, her sons Alex (Sharon) and Peter (Mary Catherine), grandsons Curtis (Tina) Moore and Patrick and Michael Harper, granddaughters Marsha (Joe) Dasilva and Mary-Anne (Mike) Seymour, great grandson Alexander Moore and her sister Helen Bulch. She was predeceased by her husband A. Curtis Moore Sr., sister Elizabeth Handy, and her brothers William, Harold and Charlie. The funeral was held on June 1, 2002. Rev. Terry Pitt officiated. Judge Livius Anglin Retired Provincial Court (Criminal Division) Judge Livius Anglin Sherwood, beloved husband of the late Anne (nee Galligan), passed away on Friday, June 7, 2002, in Ottawa, in his 79th year. He is survived by his children Mary Sharkey, Chris (Heather) Sherwood, and grandsons Ryan, Garrett and Ethan. Livius was the most loving, kind, and generous Father/Grandfather any child could want. We will cherish his memory forever.Livius was renowned in local and international sailing and was the founder of the junior sailing program at the Britannia Yacht Club. A former director of the Canadian Yachting Association and of the International Sailing Federation, he was involved for years in their Racing Rules Committees and helped draft the current Racing Rules of Sailing. He has been an international yachting judge since 1980 and served as a judge at seven America's Cups, two Olympics and many World Championships. Livius was the Director of Sailing for the 1976 Olympics in Canada. In 2000 he was awarded the Beppe Croce Trophy by the International Sailing Federation for outstanding voluntary service to the sport of sailing and was also the Canadian Yachting Association Rolex Sailer of the Year. He served overseas in the last world war then resumed his education being called to the Bar in 1950. He practised law in Ottawa until appointed to the bench in 1960. He retired in 1983. He was very active in the community particularly in services to youth. He volunteered as a worker at the old Ottawa Boys Club in 1950 and went on to serve as a director and as president of the club. He remains on its Advisory Board. In 1960 after two youth murders in Ottawa he was appointed as first Chairman of the Youth Services Bureau which still serves Ottawa youth. Livius also helped as an advisor in the early days of Operation Go Home and of New Beginnings for Youth. He served for two years as President of the Ottawa Social Planning Council and was the first chairman of the Ottawa Crime Prevention Council. He was a member of the Governor-General's Curling Club and an Honourary Life Member and past Commodore of the Britannia Yacht Club. He was inducted into the Ottawa Sport's Hall of Fame in 2001. STRASBOURG Rolland est décédé paisiblement le vendredi 7 juin 2002, à l'âge de 77 ans. Il était l'époux bien-aimé de Jeannine Belhumeur et le fils de feu Edouard Strasbourg et de feu Marie-Louise Emery. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Jeanette (Pierre L'Ecuyer) de Saint-Lazare, Michel, Nicole (Michel Lemay) de Mascouche et Luc. Il était le grand-père de feu Pascal, Sonia, Mathieu, Maryse et Gabrielle; arrière-grand-père de Miguel-Alexandre et le frère de Raunald, Jacqueline Ouelette, Annette et feu Jean-Paul. Il sera grandement regretté par plusieurs belles-soeurs, beaux-frères, neveux et nièces. Il repose au: Funérarium Beauchamp 271 boul. St-Joseph, Hull 770-1300 Visites: dimanche de 14h à 17h et de 19h à 22h, ainsi que lundi à compter de 9h. Les funérailles seront célébrées le lundi 10 juin à 11h, en l'église St-Joseph de Hull. Debbie Nolan Of King Street East, Toronto, passed away after a lengthy illness on May 30, 2002 at Providence Place, Toronto. She attended Rideau District High School. Debbie was a Computer Project Manager. Almena Mae Hanley Passed away suddenly April 17, 2002 at the Kingston General Hospital. Born in Keelerville Ontario to Isaac and Dessie McIlroy, Almena was the wife of the late Horace Hanley. She attended Keelerville Public School and as a young woman worked in Gananoque as a waitress and at Alcan during WWII. Almena settled in as a housewife in Battersea where she attended Battersea United Church. She and her husband moved to Kingston 33 years ago. She thoroughly enjoyed going to baseball games, fishing and shopping. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband. Almena is survived by her son George (Theresa); daughter, Judy (Paul) Davey; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; brother, Hanlan McIlroy and sister Dorothy (Munroe) Miller. The funeral was held April 20, 2002 with Reverend William Whiston officiating. Pallbearers were Stephen Hanley, Christopher Hanley, Douglas Davey, Bill Vogel, Todd McKay and John Kemp. (1930 - 2002) Died quietly in his sleep in the early morning of June 1, 2002 from pancreatic cancer. Henry is survived by his wife Betty, children Laurel, Darcy, Carey, Carey, Bradley, Mandy and Jordan, and his sisters Margaret, Eva and Dora. Henry was known widely in the area for his skilled work as a swimming pool installer and carpenter. He also spent countless hours as a volunteer in supervising the construction of Kingdom Halls throughout Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec from 1984-2001. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. in the evening of June 10, 2002 at the Aylmer Assembly Hall Complex of Jehovah's Witnesses.
