Of Cameron Township, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 24, 2002 in his 77th year. He is survived by his beloved wife the former Antoinette Duhaime. Slipped away peacefully on February 20, 2002 with her Mom, Carol Lynn Watson and her sweet prince, Kevin Lester at her side. She was only with us for 23 years but her courage and her determination have left a legacy, which will benefit all future transplant recipients. She will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched. Ron Graham Ron Graham passed away suddenly on February 18, 2002 at Rainycrest, Fort Frances after a lengthy illness. Ron was born in Edam, Saskatchewan on January 29, 1931 to Helen and Ernest Graham. As a boy, Ron and his family moved to Barrie, Ontario. There, Ron eventually met and married his wife, Joyce Walton. Ron began working for Ontario Hydro in 1952, and through Hydro transferred to Fort Frances. In Fort Frances they made many wonderful friends and were involved in league bowling and spent many weekends camping. In 1970, Ron fulfilled a long-time dream of owning a farm. This was later advanced with the purchase of a larger farm, leaving Hydro (after 25 years), to raise Hereford cattle and working part-time as a guard at the Fort Frances jail. Prior to retiring from farming, Ron was diagnosed with, and overcame prostate cancer. Ron loved camping, farming, working outdoors, woodworking, playing cards and throwing horseshoes. He had a wonderful sense of humour and a deep love for his family. In 1990, Ron and Joyce bought a cabin in Bergland and spent many happy days fishing, renovating, having bonfires and watching the river. Ron was always busy working outdoors making or repairing things. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Ernest Graham, brothers Roy and Bernie Graham, and grandson Isaac Gregory. Ron is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughters, Patti (Doug) McTavish, Leanne (Lee) Donaldson, Lisa (Brian) Gregory; grandchildren, Adam, Kyle and Craig McTavish, Jason and Justin Donaldson, Danielle Gregory; sister, Marjorie (Len) Patterson; brothers, Fred Graham, Harold (Lorraine) Graham, Cliff (Maggie) Graham, Terry (Carol) Graham, sister-in-law Grace Graham, and numerous nieces and nephews. Although in many ways Ron left us months ago, we will remember him as he was, a warm, loving husband, father and grandfather with a ready joke or smile for everyone. A memorial service was conducted by Reverend Frances Flook at Guthrie United Church in Devlin, Ontario Saturday, February 23 at 2:00 p.m. Honourary pallbearers were Ron’s grandchildren; Adam, Kyle and Craig McTavish, Jason and Justin Donaldson, and Danielle Gregory. Was born in Kovel, Ukraine, March 16, 1910 and passed away peacefully on February 21, 2002 at Lions Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, B.C. Survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Basil Dmytruk; her children, Bohdan (Marcia); Halina de Wit (John); and her wonderful grandchildren Adrienne and Stephen. Eugenia immigrated to Canada with her family in 1948. She lived in many interesting places throughout Quebec, including an authentic Hudson's Bay Trading Post in Portage du Fort on the Ottawa River. In Montreal, she was an active member of Saint Sophie Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral where she worshipped and sang in the choir. She was passionate about her garden and enjoyed sharing her flowers and tomatoes with the neighbourhood. her generous, loving nature (and cooking) will be forever missed. Veteran, W.W.II Clarence Joseph McCambley passed away at the Rideau Veterans' Health Centre on Saturday, February 23, 2002. He was born January 26, 1915. He was the beloved husband of the late Lola O'Rourke and dear chosen father of Ann Brideau Gervais. Clarence was predeceased by his parents, Thomas McCambley and Eva McCaffrey. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters, Nellie Henry (the late Austin), Annie Lowell (the late Ernie) and Gertie Plunkett (the late Gerald) and by his brother Tom McCambley (Margaret). Predeceased by his brother Bill (the late Muriel) and his sister Rita Cunningham (the late Mark). Memories of uncle Clarence will always be cherished by his many nieces and nephews and by his goddaughters, Eva Henry Desmoreaux and Anne Lowell. Anne Brideau Gervais' children, Rejean (Patricia) and Lisa (Mario Berard) will always have special memories of Clarence as will her grandchildren, Amanada, Shane, Brittany, Tammie and Paul. Clarence served Canada proudly during some of the worst battles of World War II. Many thanks to his nephew Michael McCambley for all the care and personal attention. Peacefully at Laurier Manor on Saturday, February 23, 2002 Millie Thomson, daughter of the late Jane Lancaster and George Thomson, passed away in her 98th year. Millie enriched the lives of many people with her unfailing sense of humour and joy of living. She loved children and through them always saw the brighter side of life. Her basic tenet in life was that we must live with the living and remember the dead.
