March 22 1933 - November 3, 2001. With great sadness we mourn the loss of our father, Bob (Robert), at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Husband of the late Mary Teresa Balleny. He will be sadly missed by his sons and daughters-in-law: Bob (Susan Gerson), Ken (LeeAnne Leblanc), John (Patricia Brodeur) and (Johanne Fortin). Survived by his grandchildren, Jason and Catherine, Jennifer (Kevin Leeman), Brian, Jamie and Joshua and great-granddaughter: Kayla. Bob will be missed by his brothers and sisters: George (Claire Pepin), Jessie (Gerard Dallaire), Jacqui (Jim Reid) and John (Diane Labelle). Predeceased by his parents, Alfred John and Jessie Gladys and by his sisters: Alfreda and Mae. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews: Patrick, Julie, Nancy, Patricia, Jerry, Jay, Randy, Vikki, John and Chuck, gradnieces and grandnephews: Eve-Marie, Steve, Jonathan, Patrick, Simon, Meghan, Vanessa, Lea, Alex, Michael, Samantha and Ryan. Bob was an active member and loyal supporter of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 091. A special thanks to Pointe Claire Chrysler. A.T.C.M., MA After a brief illness, at Chestnut Hill Hospital, Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania, on October 18, 2001, in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband, Bernard Tatcher, she is survived by her son Bill, her daughter Anna and her step-daughter Bonnie, all of Pennsylvania. She was cremated at her request. Muriel was the dearly loved sister of Charlotte Maude Fullerton, Harold Hickman and Franklyn Hickman all of Ottawa. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles, Alfred and Walter. Muriel was a gifted pianist and teacher. Following her studies in Ottawa, she continued her music career in Philadelphia, having received a scholarship to study with Olga Samaroff at the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music. She remained in the Philadelphia area and continued her teaching until last year. A memorial service for her will be held in Plymouth meeting in May, 2002. The Ottawa Citizen, Nov. 3, 2001

Age 84. At Villa Saint Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2001 in the villa. Born December 18, 1916 in Pubnico, Yarmouth County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Anthony and Mary Vitaline (Surette) Amiro. She had been a bookkeeper for Tobin-Everedy in Ottawa for 33 years. She was a member of Saint Ambrose parish, Yarmouth, as well as a member of the Sweet Adelines; she had been a volunteer with the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for 7 1/2 years, and was a former member of the Thursday Night Club in Ottawa. Surviving are brothers, Bernard, Yarmouth; Clifford, Toronto; sisters, Marjorie McGrath, Halifax; Kathleen Rowlings, Dartmouth; Jean Young, East Pebeswick, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Irvin, Douglas; a sister Evelyn Driscoll.
