Passed away, Thursday, November 1, 2001 at the age of 50. Beloved son of the late Jakub Szyrkowiec and Jadwiga (nee Zambrzycka). He is survived by; his wife Elzbieta, daughters Katarzyna (Jim) and Joanna (Shamus), sister Maria Jolanta (Wladyslaw) and his nephew Jakub (Meera). Bogdan was a person of great faith, courage and determination. He lived his life to the fullest, always helping others, deeply loved and missed by many. On Saturday, November 3, 2001, at the age of 70, surrounded by her loved ones, in her home, at R.R.#1, Winchester. Marg passed away peacefully in her sleep, after a 16-month battle with cancer and a short convalescence. Mom was active all her life, and she continued to live in and be a part of the farm that she helped create and sustain until the end. A gentle man and a gentleman to the end, Gene endured his illness bravely and without complaint. She was predeceased by her parents, Herman and Relya Gallay (nee Leith), her husband, Richard Litt and five older siblings: Benjamin and Dr. Wilfred Gallay, Mary Stein, Dr. Minnie Vare and Jean Caplan. She was born in Hawkesbury, Ontario and grew up in Calgary, where she obtained a degree in Education and taught in rural Alberta schools for several years before moving to New York City where she lived and worked for fifty-five years. She returned to Winnipeg in 1996 to be closer to her devoted nephew and niece, Dr. Aubrey and Philipa Caplan and to other members of her extended family. Formerly of Toronto and resident of Kensington Village, London for his last six years. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Farrell. Survived by children, Brian (Connie) Farrell of Toronto, Neil (Diane) Farrell of London and Mary-Lynn (Martin) Steiger of Brantford. Beloved grandfather of Kirk, Todd and Elizabeth Farrell. The family will receive their friends at the Memorial Funeral Home 1559 Fanshawe Park Rd. E. (east of Highbury) London from 7-9 p.m. Thursday November 8, 2001 where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday November 9, 2001 at 12:00 noon, Rev. Lynne Williams officiating. Suddenly in Lasalle on November 2, 2001 at the age of thirty-one. Loving son of Jim and Betty Martin. Survived by his grandfather Bobbie Martin. Loving nephew of Jean and Alex Martin. He will also be missed by cousins Steven, Alexander and Anthony and family in Scotland. Resting at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home, 7708 Central, corner 7th Avenue, Lasalle. Visitation Tuesday, 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday at 10 a.m. to time of service, thence to Mount Royal Crematorium. Burial of ashes at a later date in Scotland.
