Singer/Songwriter Peacefully, while awaiting a liver transplant, our Ron went to sleep for the last time on Friday, November 2nd, aged 52. Husband of Amanda, loving Papa to Leah and Geordi. Ron leaves behind Mom Jean and Dad Omer, siblings Terence (Maria), Lauren, Sue (Angelo), Rick (Brigitte) and former wife Elaine Gregory. A wonderful Rhythm and Blues singer, Ron sang on many telethons, television shows, jingles, commercials, albums and CD's, and was part of various bands over his 30 year career. After working in Toronto for several years during the 1980's, Ron returned to Ottawa to join the Band Streetboy which produced a CD in 1996. His background vocals can be heard on several Christmas in the Valley CD's as well. A Memorial Celebration of his Life will be announced when plans are finalized. The Ottawa Citizen, Nov. 3, 2001

A.T.C.M., MA After a brief illness, at Chestnut Hill Hospital, Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania, on October 18, 2001, in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband, Bernard Tatcher, she is survived by her son Bill, her daughter Anna and her step-daughter Bonnie, all of Pennsylvania. She was cremated at her request. Muriel was the dearly loved sister of Charlotte Maude Fullerton, Harold Hickman and Franklyn Hickman all of Ottawa. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles, Alfred and Walter. Muriel was a gifted pianist and teacher. Following her studies in Ottawa, she continued her music career in Philadelphia, having received a scholarship to study with Olga Samaroff at the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music. Former Dominion Geodesist Professor Erindale College, University of Toronto Peacefully at home on Thursday, November 1, 2001. Survived by his wife Clarissa "Netta" (nee Stewart); daughter Heather Gale (Bruce Middleton) and grandchildren Emma and Zoe in Vancouver; son Kenneth (Nancy Verheyden) and grandchildren Jennifer and Calvin in Merrickville; and five sisters Margaret, Lily Moore, Viola (Alfonso Escobar), Laureen (James Frost), and Irene (Harold Stilwell). Predeceased by his parents Louis and Annie Galenzoski and three brothers Walter, Arnold and Carl. A graduate of Central Collegiate, Regina, Louis attended Normal School, Regina, and taught for five years in Saskatchewan. After serving in the RCAF, he graduated in math and physics from Queen's University and worked for the Federal Government in Ottawa, becoming the Dominion Geodesist. During this time, he studied in Sweden for one year and was a visiting professor at the University of New Brunswick for a year. Following his retirement from the government, he taught for four years at Erindale College, the Western Campus of the University of Toronto. After the war she attended university and upon graduation was employed as a social worker. When she retired in 1976 she returned to reside here until her death. At Hotel Dieu Hospital on Thursday, November 1, 2001 after a sudden illness, Maisie Peacock passed away in her seventy-fifth year. Wife of James Peacock, loving and devoted mother of Anne-Marie (Dan), Barry, Barbara (Glenn) and James Jr. (Kim). She is also survived by cherished grandson Liam, sisters Rita (Tim), Peggy, sister-in-law Doreen and brother-in-law John, many nieces and nephews in Canada and Ireland.
