CAMERON, Catherine Grace “Cathy“ (Minkler) - Passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the age of 56 years. Beloved mother of Katelyn Lamarche and grandmother of Trevor. Dearly loved sister of Betty Gorham (Bill) of Levack and Rick Minkler of Sudbury. Predeceased by her parents Philip and Emma Minkler and her brother Bob. Loved and missed by many nieces and nephews. Cathy had a strong, proud, independent spirit, and early on in her working career broke into male dominated trades such as diamond drilling and driving heavy duty haulage trucks in open pit mines. HILL, Fernande “Fern“ - Passed away peacefully at Sara Vista Nursing Home, Elmvale, on Saturday May 2nd, 2009. Fern Hill in her 87th year, loved wife of the late Raymond “Ray“ Hill. Adored mother of Renée (Ron) Raphael, Ronald (Wendy) and Raymond Hill. A second Mom to many of their close friends. Cherished “Grandy“ of Ryin and Graydon Hill and Jaime Richman and “Great Grandy“ of Macen. Fern is also survived by her sisters (shishters) Lucille, Yvette, Laurette, Anita and brothers Raymond and his wife Jackie and Cyrille. Loving Godmother of Sylvie. EGAN, Sister Mary Teresa (Catherine Marguerite) - entered Eternal Life on Monday, May 4, 2009 in Chatham, Ontario. Sister was born in Savannah, Georgia in 1907, the daughter of the late Michael Joseph and Mary Ann (Berry) Egan. She entered the Ursuline Religious of the Diocese of London in 1932. During those years she served the Ursuline Community as a music teacher, administrator and General Treasurer in Windsor, St. Ignace, Michigan, Calgary, Vibank, Saskatchewan, Glengarda, Windsor, Essex and Chatham. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers, Patrick, John, James, Michael, Rev. Fr. Martin, and sisters, Marguerite, Teresa (Sister St. Martin, OSU) and Mary (Sister Mary Marguerite, OSU). Relatives and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a prayer service to be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, 20 Merici Way, Chatham. BELL, Sydney Lee - Passed away peacefully, after courageously facing brain cancer, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Monday May 4, 2009 at the age of 59. Beloved wife of 25 years to LeRoy W. Bell. Dear step-mother of Tina and the late LeRoy W. Bell Jr. Cherished grandmother of Cassandra Hart, Tyron Bell and Tonya Bell. Lovingly remembered by her three great- grandchildren, Myiama Nisa, Damerius Ka'shon and Saria Sydney Lee. Dear daughter of Lena Raven and daughter-in- law of Marie Bell. COSTANZO, Dr. John F. - It is with profound sadness but an air of celebration for a life well lived that we announce John's passing in his 82nd year on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009. He died at home after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Constance (Connie) and three children; a daughter Maria (Dr. Mark Servos) of Waterloo; son Frank (Lorrie) of Princeton, New Jersey; and son Rob (Julie) of Toronto and seven grandchildren; Daniel, James and Madeline Servos; Spencer and Kyle Costanzo; Isabelle and Katie Costanzo. John was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Philomena Costanzo; two brothers Joe and Phillip; two sisters Catherine and Mary. Two other brothers Adam and Ricalmo and a sister Angelina were half-siblings from his Father's first marriage and all died much earlier. John was in General Practice in Niagara Falls for thirty years from 1957 - 1987. He received an undergraduate degree in Science from Niagara University in 1950 and a degree in Medicine at Queen's University in 1956. Cremation has taken place with a private family funeral. A memorial gathering to celebrate John's life will take place at a later date. BIGGART, Carl Hugh - Passed away suddenly on April 30th, 2009 at the age of 43. Carl loving husband of Nicole. Incredible father to Jordan, Whitney, Malory, Tristina, Tristan, Trimell, Trirell, Nathan, Trimane, Trianna and Trimarra. Proud grandfather to Brooklynne. James "Wilmot" Lawrence It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing after a lengthy illness, on Saturday, April 11th, 2009, at the age of 77 years. Born in Charleston, NB, Wilmot was the son of the late James and Mildred (Kirkbride) Lawrence. Wilmot will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Rita, and his children, Jim (Suzanne), Sterling (Donna), Tim (Jill), Marsha Donovan (Fraser) and David (Twyla). Wilmot will also be fondly remembered by his ten grandchildren, Adam, Karen (Charles Lee), Elizabeth, Lucas, Leah, Lisa, Carrie, Sloane, Riley & Zachery. He is also missed by his special helper Brandon, and several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his siblings, Muriel MacDonald, Audrey Golder, Pauline (Ken) Golder, Rowena (Murray) Ruff, Melvin (Marion), Neil and two sister-in-laws - Alice and Lena. Predeceased by a sister, Beulah (Wallace) Carkner, brothers, Vaughn, Gerald, Ivan and two infant brothers, Merle & Dell, brothers-in-law, Merrill MacDonald, Oral Golder and sisters-in-law, Alma & Nellie. A funeral service in memory of Wilmot was held on Tuesday, April 14th, 2009, at 2:00 pm, at the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Horsman and Pastor Jonathan London officiating. The eulogy was delivered by son Jim. Music was provided by Fred Roberts and Bob Jones. Pallbearers were sons Jim, Sterling, Tim, David, son-in-law Fraser and grandson Adam. Interment was held at the Wilmot Cemetery. Floral tributes were received and donations were made to the Wilmot Cemetery, The Lung Association and the Gideon Bible Society. Linda Marlene Potter, wife of Bruce Gilchrist, passed away April 9, 2009 at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto at age 60. Born in Woodstock, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Vera (Waitt) Potter. She is survived by one son, Jeremy (Melissa) of Toronto, five sisters - Jeanette Stockford (Wade) of Jacksonville, Bette Farrell of Woodstock, Sherry Kozoriz (Evan) of Saskatoon, Audrey Hall (Ed) of Medicine Hat, Joan Fladseth (Bob) of Saskatoon and several nieces and nephews. A private service was held on April 18, 2009 at 11 am from St. Marks United Church and officiated by Rev. Alan Hall. A eulogy written by her sisters was read by her best friend Jean Cahill. Janet Leola Cooper, 60, of Fort Frances, Ont., pased away Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ont. after a lengthy illness. A memorial breakfast was held by her immediate family at the Finnish Hoito Restaurant in Thunder Bay. Janet was born Aug. 14, 1948 in Littlefork, Mn. to Toby and Rene Lattu. She attended school in Littlefork and obtained her degree in criminal justice from Bemidji State University. Janet held various positions, and was a past director with the Sunrise Center for Sexual Assault in the International Falls and Fort Frances areas. Janet enjoyed crocheting, reading, flower gardening, having coffee on her deck, and spending time on the lake with her family at the LeClaire cabin. Janet was predeceased by her parents; one son, Craig Anderson; and stepson, Bobby Cooper. Janet is survived by her husband, Jack, of Fort Frances, Ont.; son, Scott (Marie) Anderson of Colfax, Wis.; daughter, Jana (Chris) LeClaire of Rockford, Mn.; stepchildren, Kathy Cooper of Fort Frances, Ont. and Tommy Cooper of Thunder Bay, Ont.; and grandchild, Jackson LeClaire. Also surviving are her sister, Emmi Lattu of International Falls, Mn.; brother, Jon (Ruth) Lattu of Littlefork, Mn; nephew, Spicer Lattu of Fargo, N.D., and special family friend, Gail Costley. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Green-Larsen Mortuary Chapel in International Falls. Following the service, there will be visitation with coffee and doughnuts–Jan’s favourite food–at the Green-Larsen Mortuary Chapel.
