Roger Bilodeau 1920-2009 À la résidence La Rose Blanche, le 27 février 2009, à l'âge de 88 ans 2 mois, est décédé monsieur Roger Bilodeau, époux de dame Rita Langlois. Né à St-Damien de Bellechasse le 25 décembre 1920, monsieur était le fils de feu dame Alphonsine Fortier et de feu monsieur Alphonse Bilodeau. Il demeurait à Québec, arrondissement Beauport. Il a cependant longuement habité Baie-Comeau. Les membres de la famille recevront les condoléances à La Seigneurie Coopérative Funéraire 2450, av. St-Clément, arrondissement Beauport (autoroute de la Capitale, sortie Bourg-Royal no 318) le mardi 3 mars 2009 à compter de midi. À sa mémoire suivra à 14h une célébration de la parole en la chapelle de la coopérative. Ses cendres seront par la suite déposées au Columbarium La Seigneurie. Patrick Surette - Au Foyer Saint-Antoine, le samedi 28 février 2009, à l’âge de 99 ans, est décédé paisiblement Patrick Surette, époux de feu Irène (Hébert) Surette (2005), domicilié au Foyer Saint-Antoine, mais autrefois de Cocagne. Né à Cocagne le 4 avril 1909, il était fils de feu François et de feu Georgina (Downing) Surette. Patrick laisse dans le deuil ses six enfants: Jeannita Doughty (Cyril) de Kirkland, Qc, Murielle Deveau (Clarence) de Dieppe, Claudette McNeil de Châteaugay, Qc, Jacqueline Haynes et Pauline Surette, toutes deux de Cocagne et Normand (Gilberte) de Shediac Bridge; neuf petits-enfants, six arrière-petits-enfants; un frère, Clorice (Lorraine) de Lake-burn, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Un fils Eudore (2000); trois soeurs: Florence, Florida et Alice, ainsi que deux frères: Alcide et Léopold, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. Patrick était un pêcheur et un charpentier. Les visites auront lieu à compter de 14h, le mardi 3 mars, à la salle mortuaire de l’église Saint-Pierre de Cocagne. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Pierre de Cocagne, le mercredi 4 mars, à 14h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial, au printemps. Mme Éva Thibault était l'épouse de François Thibault, décédé en 1986, qui fut professeur à l'École normale Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur et président de la Commission des écoles catholiques de Sherbrooke pendant plusieurs années. Mme Thibault laisse dans le deuil ses quatre enfants et leur conjoint: Huguette, Jacqueline (Bruno Giard), Richard (Édith Delisle) et Francine (Bruno Goulet) ainsi que neuf petits-enfants et seize arrière-petits-enfants. Elle laisse également un frère et deux soeurs: Rose, Angéline et Napoléon, tous domiciliés en Saskatchewan, ainsi que de nombreux neveux, nièces, autres parents et amis. Mme Thibault été hébergée au CHSLD Vigi Shermont depuis plusieurs années. La famille désire remercier vivement le personnel de ce centre pour les bons soins, l'attention et l'amour qu'elle a reçus au cours de cette période. ELLIOTT, Lillie Isabel (nee Lyon) March 29, 1929 - February 27, 2009 Dearly beloved wife of the late Keith Elliott. Survived by brothers Dr. John Lyon in Kingston and Donald Lyon in Guelph. Loved aunt of nieces and nephews on both sides of the family, they were her prime interests. Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Margaret Lyon and her brother Steward and sister Elizabeth. Lillie was a was a registered nurse and a graduate of Kingston General Hospital. Her nursing career was at the Hamilton General Hospital. EGGER, Mary Margaret (nee Zanni) June 10, 1930 - February 28, 2009 Mary Margaret Egger, beloved wife of Gerald of Calgary, passed away on February 28, 2009 at the age of 78 years. Mary was born on June 10, 1930 in Banff, AB, to Giovanni and Amelia Zanni. She lived the first part of her years in Kananaskis, AB, and in the early 1940's moved to Calgary, residing in the Bridgeland - Riverside area for most of her life. In 1952 she married Gerald Egger. Besides her loving husband Gerald, Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Evelyn Egger, daughters and sons-in-law, Lori Egger and Steve Laut and Christine Egger and Greg Hirshoren; grandsons, Aaron and Mark Egger; granddaughters, Danae and Tristan Laut, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Giovanni and Amelia Zanni; brother, Peter and sister, Nellie. CRAIG, Dorothy (nee Pottier) Passed away on February 25, 2009. A loving and generous soul and a wonderful mother, she will be greatly missed by her children Michael (Francesca), Ann Marie, and Robert (Rose), and grandchildren Alexander, Johanna, and Shahna McNally (Michael). Dorothy was predeceased within months by her beloved husband of 50 years, Dr. Alton Craig. Born on November 28, 1930 in Malden, Massachusetts, Dorothy grew up in Nova Scotia with brother Richard and sisters Ruth and Janet. She trained as a Registered Nurse at the Halifax Infirmary and went on to nurse the sick in Ontario. Dorothy and Alton had many happy years at their home in Ottawa. One could not imagine a more nurturing and unselfish person, Dorothy gave much to her family and found great joy with her children and grandchildren. DeLAZZER, Jean Angelina - Passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Friday February 27, 2009 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Firmino DeLazzer (2008). Dearly loved mother of Linda Valade, Sandra DeLazzer and Joseph Anthony Delazzer. Cherished grandmother of Marcel (Donna) Valade, Stephen (Jennifer) Valade and great-grandmother of Kyle Adam Valade. BURKE, Edna (nee Simpson) - After an incredible battle with cancer, Edna passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, February 27 at the Hotel Dieu- Shaver at the age of 85. Much loved mother of Ron (Norma Medulun) Burke and Jan Spry, Devoted Nana of Dave (Jen) Burke, Allison Burke, Nick Spry and Angela Spry. Also survived by her sister Peg (Ken) Robertson and her nieces the late Karen (Ron) Reid and Dayle (Steve) McKenzie. Predeceased by her husband Fred (2006) and daughter in law Carolyn (2005). The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. John Luce and the nurses of 2-West at the Hotel Dieu-Shaver for their incredible and compassionate care.
