Harold was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy Welch (Salter). Loving father of Eva (Kim) Veals, Howard Welch (Christine Markle), all of Omemee. Cherished brother of Joyce Curtis (Orval), Charlie, Ken, Roger, Jim and Patrick Welch, Elsa Galachuck and Mary Kay. Peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Caressant Care, Lindsay in her 84th year. Jean was the beloved wife of the late George Byman for 43 years. Dear mother of Donna Baker of Dunsford, Kenneth Byman and his friend Anita Sewell both of Peterborough, and Nancy Draper and her husband Henry of Dunsford. Grandmother of Laura, Shelley, Jeanine, Angela, Rebecca and Crystal. Great-grandmother of Corey, Alicia, Zachary, Madison and Katelyn. EXLEY, Jack - March 22, 1928 - January 12, 2009. Born in Barnsly, Yorkshire, England. Beloved husband and best friend of Vida (Lester) passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Bluewater Health - Palliative Care. Survived by daughters Caroline Exley and Susan (Joe) Junak, grandchildren Michael Goss, Rachael and Sarah Hutchinson and great granddaughter Madisen Fleury. Extended Lester family Raymond (Danielle), Mariannne, Stephen (Tracy), David (Caroline), Robert, Rhea, Kyle, Jocelyn, Dalton, Jessica, Marianne, Jeremy and Lynn Lester. SAWERS, Thomas Easson - Retired DeHavilland Aircraft - Passed away after a courageous battle on January 10, 2009 at Royal Victoria Hospital. Tom aged 79 beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Webb). Loving father to Mike (Barb), Kate (Nigel) and David. Super Grandfather of Jackie, Laura, Leanne, Emily, Samantha, Jodi, Victoria, Mackenzie and Paul. CLACK, John (Feb. 13, 1934 - Jan. 10, 2009) - Retired from Base Borden after 17 years - John Clack of Angus went home to be with his Lord after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He will be remembered with love by his wife Elizabeth. MacKENZIE, Mark - Finally at peace. After a courageous battle with a brain tumour, Mark passed away peacefully at Banwell Gardens, surrounded by his devoted sisters on January 12, 2009 at 52 years of age. Loving father of Matthew of Chatham. Son of the late Joseph (1987) and Florence (1989) (Nee Brunet) MacKenzie. Much loved brother of Rosemary and Dan Hayes of Ajax, Jo- Anne and Ken Beaver of New Lowell, Michelle Timmins and Phil Hatton of LaSalle, Monica Garrett of Windsor. Beloved uncle of Rebecca, Jeremy, Shawna, Jack, Melissa, Alyssa, Megan, Bryce, Emily and Ryan. Mark is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Mark was a past employee of Windsor Western Hospital (Dietary) where he developed many friendships. Mark was a devoted employee of Canadian Linen Supply starting in Windsor and then moving to Chatham as manager of that location. Mark will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and love for life. Prior to his illness, Mark was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. Jean graduated from the University of Toronto in 1942, receiving a diploma in Occupational Therapy. She subsequently attended Emmanuel Bible College at the University of Toronto after which Jean went on to work at the church Missions in Winnipeg in 1944. She worked for 21 years at the Penetangushene Mental Health Centre in the position as Chief Occupational Therapist for the majority of her career. Jean's joy was her family and faith. She was a lifelong member of the United Church of Canada and the U.C.W. Over the years, Jean contributed considerable time and energy into researching and organizing the family's genealogical history. She displayed her creative talents in knitting, crocheting and miniatures. In her retirement years, Jean and Gordon travelled in Europe and Asia. Vera was predeceased by her loving husband Mario (August 2006). Dear stepfather of Mary (Sherwin) Phillips, Arlington; Michael (Tracey) Labobe, Lennox Island; Karen (Nelson) Noye, Lennox Island; Jacqueline (Danny) Tuplin, Lennox Island; Leslie (David), Lennox Island; Sandra (Steven) Hulan, Dartmouth. Loving grandfather of 13 step grandchildren. Brother of Gerry (Ann) Mowry, Charlottetown; and Doreen Lloyd, Stratford, ON. Brother-in-law of Irene (David) Haley, Lennox Island. Predeceased by his first wife, Gertrude (Waukey), 1996; brothers, Ron and Glen; sister, Connie; stepdaughter, Sharon; step son-in-law, Danny Moore; and step granddaughter, Sharon. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours on Thursday 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Friday at 2 p.m. Memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

De Wolfe, Cecil 2009-01-14 Mr. Cecil De Wolfe (Reg) passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the age of 76. Reg was born on October 12, 1932 in Port Arthur, the first born child of Gladys and Cecil DeWolfe. Reg moved to Vancouver in the early 50‚s and resided there up until five years ago when he returned to Thunder Bay due to ill health. Reg lived his life to the fullest, in his younger years he travelled often to his favourite place, Reno, Nevada. When he couldn‚t make it to Reno anymore, Grande Portage became the pastime he enjoyed with his friends he had made in his building. Reg enjoyed figure skating, he taught the sport for many years and also volunteered his time as a judge. Reg is survived by his brothers Jim (Sharon), Cliff (Debbie), Stewart Patterson, sisters Valerie Rozon, Liz (Charlie) Blais, Kathy (Randy) Manton, Susan (Bob) McMorland, Sarah (Mike) Verhaeghe, Sandy Norton. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Reg was predeceased by his father Cecil DeWolfe, mother and stepfather Gladys and Harold Cameron, sisters Bernadette Delmo, Marjory Desmeules, Diane Folster, Ginger DeWolfe, brother Phillip DeWolfe. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Reg‚s life will be held on Friday, January 16, 2009 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at 9 Regent Street in the Common Room. Eugene "Gene" Joseph Hulton October 23, 1921 - January 8, 2009 HULTON, EUGENE JOSEPH Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday January 9th, 2009 in his 88th year, while holding the hand of Reta his loving wife of 67 years. Much loved by his children, Harry (Mary), Harriet (Bob) Corkey, Allan (Lynda), Dick (Betty), Lenore (Bobby) Hunter, Ann (Ken) Mosier, Glenn (Eva) and Gale (Paula). Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Norman, Craig, Kay, Emmeline, Gwen, Redmond, Olga , Ola and Ruth. Papa will always be remembered by his 33 Grandchildren and 33 Great Grandchildren. Eugene could always be found in the horse barn hitching up the horses or working hard in "Papa's Shop" waiting for someone to hand him another piece of leather to mend. We love you Papa (Dad).
