SADLER, Harold - Passed away after a lengthy illness at Linhaven Nursing Home on November 8th, 2008. Survived by June Livingstone, devoted partner of 26 years. Also survived by his former wife Joan and their sons Jody (Rhonda) and Sandy (Cheryl) and two grandchildren Ryan and William; sisters Audrey Smalldon, Betty Uttley, Darlaine Quenneville, Gloria Sadler; and brothers David and Ken. He is predeceased by grandson Jody Sadler Jr. and brothers Cecil, William and Walter. Harold graduated from McMaster University in 1968 and from Niagara University in 1974 with his Bachelor of Science in Education. He was a teacher and Principal with the former Lincoln Board of Education, retiring in 1988. Shelagh of Barrie and in her 75th year, fought a long and courageous battle with COPD. Shelagh Lemmon beloved wife of William. WHITE, G. Russell It is with deep and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our dearest father, G. Russell White, on November 7th, 2008, at the Ottawa Hospital, with his eldest son John in attendance. Our grief is compounded by the fact that his wife of 59 years, Jane "Jordan" White (nee Appleton) passed away August 28, 2007. Russell is survived by his eldest son John, fraternal twins Robert Gordon and Barbara Ann White, and eldest daughter Holly and her husband Ray Schut who bestowed upon Russ and Jane the pride and joy of being grandparents to Shannon and Sarah. Russell was predeceased by his eminent brother Jack (of Florida), and survived by his three distinguished sisters Peggy Harvey, Joan MacDougall, and Connie Anderson. Born in 1925, Russell grew up in the Lawrence Park area of Toronto and served as a Leading Aircraftman in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1943-1946 (earning the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal). Russell married Jane in 1948, graduated with a B.A. from the University of Toronto in 1949, and earned his professional accreditation as a Chartered Accountant in 1958. Russell's career was distinguished by significant contributions to Massey Ferguson and Rio-Algom Mines in Toronto, and (from 1971-1990) Canada Revenue Agency in Ottawa. COOKMAN, Robert. Passed away, October 14, 2008 at Ste-Anne's Veteran Hospital. Predeceased by his parents: Edgar and Adelaide (Slater) Cookman and his sister Doris Heckman. Survived by his sister Gladys (Herbert Millar) and his brother-in-law Robert Heckman and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Served in the Second World War in the RCAF as a LAC Wireless mechanic Radar. Special thanks to the caring staff and volunteers at the Veteran Hospital. Burial was at Field of Honour privately.
