BRADFORD, Walter Russell Veteran WWII Walter departed this life October 29th, 2008 with all his family by his side. Born and raised in Granby, Quebec he started his studies at McGill but left to join the R.C.A.F. Graduating after the war, he spent his working years with Bell Canada. He retired in Ottawa and enjoyed golf and boating at the Carleton Golf Club. Predeceased by his sister, Shirley, he will be remembered with love and gratitude by his wife Joan Marie, his sons Bob and Ted (Thanet Hardwick), daughter Gayle Bridges (John) and grandchildren Amy, Joseph and Joshua Bridges and Alec, Tadhg and Olan Bradford. The family especially thanks the staff at the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre for their compassionate care. CONDREN, Gerald Hilton "Skip" The passing of Gerald Hilton "Skip" Condren, husband of the late Eleanor (Green) Condren, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on October 30, 2008 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 7, 1929 in Argyle, NB, he was a son of the late Hubert and Mary (Anderson) Condren. Skip was a truck driver with Hoar Transport. Skip was survived by his daughter, Wanda A. Condren of Chelsea, PQ; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Steven Mark Condren and Duane Pearl Condren. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. Graveside Service will be held at Bristol Free Baptist Cemetery, Bristol, NB. DARLING, Nelson Edward Peacefully at St. Mary's of the Lake, on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the age of 78. Nelson was born at Perth Road Village. Beloved husband of Rae (nee Singleton) for 56 years. Survived by his sons Kim Hunter (Susan Stafford), Edward John and daughter-in-law Martha Isbister. Also survived by his sister Mary (Bob Lovering). It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Lottie Bochenek (nee Kardela), age seventy-one years, at Sacre Coeur Hospital, on October 28, 2008. Although Lottie courageously fought several health problems in recent years, she was finally overwhelmed by this latest respiratory crisis. She will be greatly missed by Ted, her husband of 51 years, and her children, Peter, Linda and Andrew (Cheryl), as well as by her nephews, niece and many relatives. OBITUARY EVA CSABAI (nee KAMARAS) 1939 - 2008 It is with great sadness and deepest sorrow we announce the death of our beloved Eva who passed away on October 29, 2008 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She immigrated to Canada with her parents and sister from Hungary in 1957. She leaves behind her husband Julius (of 47 years), her 94 year old mother Rozalia, two sons Julius Jr. (Leigh Ann Ascroft) and Andrew (Linda Ferraro), grandchildren Nicole, Caroline, Patrick, and Christopher. ZABRODSKI, Max September 25, 1922 - October 24, 2008 Max Zabrodski passed away on October 24, 2008 at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre, Dauphin, Manitoba. He was born September 25, 1922 in the Ukraine and came with his family at the age of five years to Canada to homestead. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Caroline Zabrodski; his son Dr. Rick (Rhonda) Zabrodski of Calgary and daughter Lori Zabrodski. He was the beloved grandfather of Sarah and Adam Zabrodski. Max served with the 11th Canadian Armored Regiment from 1942 to 1946 as a tank operator/gunner where he saw action on the beaches of Sicily, southern Italy, France and Germany and was wounded in action twice. He was truly a man of good deeds and had a generous, kind heart. Funeral Service to be held on October 31, 2008 in Dauphin, Manitoba. Mrs. Dorothy Vera "Dot, Dottie" nee Blanchard Bolton July 26, 1925 - August 8, 2008 - Surrounded by love from her family, and with her heart full of love for all, Dorothy passed away peacefully on August 8, 2008 at the age of 83. Mr. William Thomas Hatcher August 7, 1922 - August 9, 2008 - HATCHER, William Thomas - 86, Porters Lake, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008, in Twin Oaks Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour, with his family by his side. Born in Cookstown, Ont., he was a son of the late Harold Raymond and Jean (Boyle) Hatcher. Bill served in the Second World War in the Royal Canadian Navy, where he served for 25 years, and later worked for the City of Dartmouth until his retirement. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his home on the lake. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Phyllis (Green) Hatcher; son, Harold and daughter-in-law, Frances; granddaughter, Tracey; grandson, Phil (Lise); sister, Marian Hines, Texas; brother-in-law, Russ Rivers, Cambridge, Ont. He was predeceased by sisters, Eleanor Rivers, Elizabeth Swan. Special thanks to home care workers, Heather and Shelia, and the staff of Twin Oaks Hospital for their love and compassionate care.
