Adelina Beaudry October 4, 1966 - August 14, 2008 - BEAUDRY, Adelina (Derkach) – passed away peacefully on August 14, 2008 at the age of 41 years. She will be greatly missed by her daughters; Cristina, Ragena, Sharon and her family and friends. Adelina was predeceased by her mother Louise (March 2008) and her father Maurice (1990). Adelina was a wonderful mother, sister and auntie. She loved singing, dancing, baking and attending church. Adelina enjoyed being a mother to her children. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Parkridge Centre and Easthill Personal Care Home for the loving care they provided Adelina. Respecting Adelina’s wishes, there will be a Graveside Memorial Service at St. Denis Parish Cemetery on Monday, August 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Mireau as Celebrant. Mrs. Masako (Martha) Ichiiwa - August 17, 2008 - Martha passed away peacefully in Richmond Hospital with her loving family at her side on August 17, 2008, at the age of 83. Predeceased by her husband Yoshio (Jackson), brother Kiyoshi (Butch) Inouye, sister Mary Sasaki and survived by her children Ken (Bea), Doug (Terry), and Bev; grandchildren Tara (Shane), Scott, Adam, Samantha, and Don; great-grandchildren Maddison and Jacob; and sister Hideko Endo. She will be remembered as a loving and caring Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister, and Aunt. Her greatest joy was her family and they will miss her loving and caring way. A memorial service to celebrate her life will he held on Sunday August 24th at 11:00 AM at the Richmond Funeral Home at 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, BC. Born January 16th, 1913, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Mora (Richardson) Sanford. Theta was an avid bowler, liked dancing and doing crocheting. She is survived by 2 daughters, Maxine Padovan, Hants Border, and Olga Marsters, Hants Border; 4 grandchildren, Wanda (Troy), Roland (Joanne), Crystal (Tim), and Angelo (Pam); 7 great-grandaughters; 2 great-great grandsons; sister-in-law, Jean Sanford; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 6 sisters, Vonny Smith, Kathaleen Pico, Viola Noiles, Alice LaRussic, Leonra Smith and Marie in infancy; 5 brothers, Henry, Murray, Inglis, Jim, and John Reuben; sons-in-law, Rino Padovan and Willis Marsters. Robert "Bob" MacVICAR August 8, 1942 - August 10, 2008 - MacVICAR Robert ‘ Bob” Lloyd MacVicar – passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 10, 2008, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John West on August 8, 1942, he was the son of the late Lauchlin “Duncan” MacVicar and Margaret (Flood). Bob started his fire fighting career as a volunteer with the Lancaster Fire Department in 1964, joining the Saint John Fire Department in April of 1966. He rose from rank of Lieutenant to Captain and then to District Chief in 1995, retiring in 2000 after 34 years of service. Bob was instrumental in starting the Sports and Benevolent Fund of Local 771 and served as it’s pension representative for many years, also he was Chair of the 1996 Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC) which met in Saint John that year. Bob was also very active in the Boy Scouts from 1977 until his passing, he operated the canteen at Lancaster Arena for 20 years and was an active member of Lancaster Baptist Church. Bob was a loving husband, father, brother and grampy who will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Louise (Phillips), daughter, Holly (Mark) McKenzie, Saint John; son, Duncan (Paula) , Saint John; sister, Betty (Melvin) Griffin, Benton, LA; brother, D. William, Toronto; grandchildren, Nicholas, Rebecca, Christopher, Robert and Bradley. Bob was predeceased by his step – mother, Gertrude MacVicar. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 7 – 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Wednesday in Castle Fallsview (634-1701). A celebration of Robert’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, August 14, 2008, at 11 a.m. Burial to follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Mr Stanley Sheard June 25, 1919 - August 4, 2008 - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stanley Sheard at the age of 89 years, on August 4, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. Stan was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was predeceased by his parents; sister Florence; brothers John, Harold, Henry, George and Ted. Stan is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Kathleen; children Kathie (Grant) Kennedy of Sechelt, BC, Jim (Cheryl) of Edmonton, Chris (Dale) of Edmonton, Barb (Rick) Goodman of Regina; grandchildren Allison Sheard, Graham Sheard, Kathie (Ryan) Rothert, John-David Sheard, William Sheard, Eric Sheard, Kimberley Sheard, Pamela (Dustin) Grohs, Brad (Tabitha) Goodman; great grandchildren Tristan and Taylor Grohs; brother Ernie (Bernice) of Crystal City, Manitoba; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim (Verna) Martin of Regina Beach and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Stan was born on June 25, 1919 in Haverhill, England. His family moved to Canada in 1929. Stan married his love Kathleen Martin on May 2, 1942 in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He served his country in World War II earning medals of honour and returned to Canada to continue his schooling and raise his family. Stan worked for the Saskatchewan Government as the Horticultural Specialist for 30 years, retiring in 1981. During his retirement Stan and Kay enjoyed several years living at Regina Beach and then moving back to Regina in 1996. Stan enjoyed his garden. He loved to spend every minute in his yard nurturing all that he planted. In the winter months he planned for the spring. Stan was an amazing man with many talents. His years spent on CK Radio on the Garden Line were very enjoyable. The poetry he wrote inspired many and brightened their days. His woodwork is cherished by all who received it and brought him many hours of enjoyment. A FUNERAL SERVICE was held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev Blair Dixon officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of the Regina General and Pasqua Hospitals for their exceptional care of Stan over the past several weeks. You are very special people. We love you Dad. Mrs. Mary Perpetua Ogles May 22, 1926 - August 4, 2008 - Mary Perpetua Ogles age 82 of Amherst passed away on Monday, August 4, 2008 at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in River Bourgeois, N.S, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Venus (Burke) DeLong. Mary completed her education at St. Charles and Amherst Regional High and following her graduation she was employed with Canada Car, Metropolitan, Playtex, and Fort 'B' Flowers, Amherst retiring in 1990. Mary owned and operated a restaurant and garage in Lincoln, N.B. Fun loving Mary enjoyed dancing, singing, knitting, and sewing. She is survived by her son, Timothy Robert (Sheila Arlene) Adams of Fall River, N.S.; one sister, Phyllis Paul of Amherst; two grandchildren, Timothy James (Mary) and Trevor Joseph Adams; two great grandchildren, Vanessa and Gary; former husband, Darrell Ogles of Alberta; several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her first husband, James Adams; two sisters, Ellen DeLong and Frances Arseneau; three brothers, Henry, Cletus and Rene. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). By request by the family, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place at a later date in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery, Amherst. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Palliative Unit or the VON. Mary (mom) will be sadly missed by her “one and only” loving son, Timothy and the entire family.

Great Grama of Catherine and Daniel Grahame. Vera was very active in the Windsor community, she was a member of the Scottish Club, Air Force Club, Heart Care and the Centre for Seniors. She had a great love for gardening and her flowers were the fruit of her labours. Mrs. Learmonth was a Veteran and served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in W.W.II. Mrs. Beverly June James ( MacDonald ) April 3, 1939 - August 4, 2008 - JAMES (MacDonald), Beverly June - Beloved wife of Carroll, passed away August 4, 2008, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Beverly was predeceased by both her parents, Alexander and Margaret MacDonald, and her siblings, Grant, Earl (Alma), Millan (Pearl) and Sylvia (Dr. Roy Munroe). In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Craig (Charlene), Dartmouth; Cindy, Eastern Passage; Mark (Lisa), Bedford; Andrew (Lise), Fall River; grandchildren, a great-grandson, nieces and nephews. Beverly graduated from Stellarton High School and then the Aberdeen Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. Devoted to her family and friends, she was very active in her children`s sports, and was a true Habs fan. Beverly was very artistic, and enjoyed teaching and learning in her social groups. She was truly a friend to all who knew her. A member of St. Luke's Anglican Church in Dartmouth, she was active in ACW and various craft groups. She was a former Sunday school teacher and an active volunteer in her church. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in St. Luke's Church, Veterans Avenue, Dartmouth. Mr. Kristian Hansen July 9, 1969 - August 4, 2008 - Kristian Guy Hansen Peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, Kris passed away on August 4, 2008 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. Kris is survived by his parents Guy and Faye Hansen of Thompson, MB, his brother Les Hansen and sister-in-law Christine de Lint of Toronto, and his loving friends Ryan, Teddi, Jody, Angela and Dane. Born July 9, 1969 in Thompson, MB Kris graduated from RD Parker Collegiate in 1987. He went on to the University of Manitoba where he earned two Bachelor Degrees, first in Psychology and then in Social Work. He had recently been working on the final thesis for a Masters Degree in Social Work. Kris was a dedicated employee of Hope Centre Inc. in Winnipeg for 18 years. A truly kind and caring man, his entire career was devoted to working with and for people with developmental disabilities. He was loved and respected by many and will be missed by all those who knew him. The family would like to thank the medical staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their tremendous care and support over the last several months. Mr. Dale Robert Richardson November 16, 1961 - August 6, 2008 - It is with great sadness that we advise of the sudden and untimely passing of our son and brother, Dale. Forever loved, he leaves his mother, Mary (Grona) Richardson of Essex, sister Sharron Richardson (niece Lindsay and nephew Evan) of Mississauga, and brother Steve (Dara) Richardson of Port Colborne. Predeceased by his father Ron Richardson (Oct. 2005) and his favourite Gram, Betty Richardson (Mar. 2005) of Riverside. The Honourable Mr Justice Hugh J. Campbell - August 6, 2008 - At the age of 65, after a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side on August 7th, 2008 at the Princess Margaret Hospital. Son of the late Hubert James Campbell (Trenton) and Edna Ruth Campbell (nee Morgan). Survived by his wife Cathy, daughters Baillie and Christina, sons Mackenzie Colin Cameron, and James. Brother to Duncan (Susan), Roderick (Sandra), Ruth Anne and Dolly (Greg). Brother-in-law to Rubina, John, Robert (Nan) Hogg, David (Valerie), Jean (Robert) Rice, Bruce and Allison (James) Toal. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Aiden, Liam, Jack, and Halle as well as his Campbell, Morgan and Hogg nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Called to the Bar, he was appointed to the Bench in 1994. Hugh spent his entire legal career in the Ministry of the Attorney General’s Crown Law Office – Criminal. He was employed as a Crown Counsel from 1979 – 1987. Senior Counsel from 1987 – 1990 and Deputy Director from 1990 until his appointment as a Provincial Division Judge. In his capacity as Deputy Director he was responsible for supervising all trial counsel in the conduct of all prosecutions and trial-related matters within the mandate of the Crown Law Office. He was also responsible for the administration of the Ontario Witness Protection Program and continued to carry a full trial caseload and advise various joint forces investigators and task forces. Hugh has been active in the community as a volunteer lecturer and guest speaker at High School career days and law classes. Prior to his appointment to the Bench, he was a regular instructor in both sections of Advocacy and Criminal Procedure for the Bar Admission Course of the Law Society of Upper Canada. He is also a founding member of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Society and drafted a comprehensive constitution, which guaranties the non-sectarian, non-political nature of that organization. His respect for the Law was honed at the knee of his uncle, the late Roderick S. Campbell Q.C. He was frequently heard to say “Imagine everyday I get to go to work doing something I absolutely love and they’re paying me!!” But of all his accomplishments he freely acknowledged that watching his 6 children and 4 grandchildren mature into successful, happy and responsible parents and citizens was as he said his raison d’être. He has left a legacy that will be remembered by everyone who knew him and we his family will continue to carry it within the family motto…“ne obliviscaris” (never forget). Mrs. Anne Pearl Bates - August 7, 2008 - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Bates of Holbein, Saskatchewan. She left this world peacefully, surrounded by her family, on August 7, 2008 at City Hospital in Saskatoon. Anne is survived by her two sons Gerald (Beryl) of Saskatoon and Alf (Joan) of Prince Albert; her five grandchildren Kevin (Sharon) Bates, Melissa (Trent) Fletcher, Scott (Joanna) Bates, Jennifer Bates and Evan Bates; her five great-grandchildren and many family members in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was loved by her grandchildren, who spent many happy hours at the farm with their Grandma and Grandpa. Her greatest pride, besides the grandchildren, was cooking, tending her large gardens and growing flowers. Mr. Frank R. Kennedy November 8, 1945 - August 8, 2008 - KENNEDY, Frank R. – Age 62, of Halifax, passed away August 8, 2008, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Raymond and Mary (Goodhew) Kennedy. Frank was dedicated worker who loved working at the CBC for 30 years and Convergys for 10 years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf, travel, friends, his grandson and his cats. Frank was a kind and helpful person to all. He is survived by his former wife and best friend, Patricia “Dan”; daughter, Barbara (Joe) Geizer; grandson, Gavin; aunt, Ella Goodhew and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by infant son, Adam; sisters, Pat, Joan, Sheila; brothers, Ray and Jim. Born in Albert Co., NB, to the late Ora and Dora (Cole) Wilson. She is survived by two nieces; Phyllis (Ulysses) Dupuis and Dora Haines, four nephews; Ken (June) Crossman, Charles (Teddy) Crossman, Burton (Gerri) Crossman, Robert (Corinne) Crossman and several great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two half sisters and one half brother. Besides her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her sister, Enid Crossman and her brother-in-law, Willard.
