CRANE, Jeffrey Alexander 2008-09-29 JEFFREY ALEXANDER CRANE December 22, 1981 – September 26, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jeffrey Alexander Crane, age 26 years, on Friday, September 26, 2008 due to a motor vehicle accident. Jeff will be greatly missed and always loved by his 5-year-old daughter Jayden Lee Marie Crane and parents Alexander and Judith Crane. Grieving his loss are his grandparents Mary and Ronald A. Crane and Phil Robblee and very special friend Stacy Hedrick. He will be missed by his uncle Brian Crane (Patty) of British Columbia, aunts Mary Anne Robblee (Andy) of Ottawa, Maureen Robblee (Bernie) of Toronto and Ronda Hoffman (Robert) of Winnipeg, Manitoba. From Thunder Bay, his uncle Ron and aunt Cathy Robblee and uncle Art and aunt Jerry Stephens, along with many cousins and friends. Jeff loved life. His outgoing, caring personality helped him over come many challenges in his short life. His main interest was his daughter Jayden who he loved very much. Jeff was attending Confederation College in the mining program and was excited about starting his life with his best friend, Stacy. TAMS, Dennis 2008-09-29 Dennis Charles Tams, born November 25,1951 passed away unexpectedly at his residence September 24, 2008. Born in Kaministiquia, Dennis was a life long resident of the area. Survived by his two stepsons Andrew and Luke and their mother Shari of Alberta, brothers Thomas and twin Donald (Christine) Tams, nieces Tracey (Jason) great-nephew and niece Spencer and Alexis Beda of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Melanie (Jason), great-niece Mackenzie Jonnasen, Cindy (Mike) Richards and nephew Scott Tams as well as sister-in-law Ann Tams, here, nephews Jeffery, Jessie and Jeremy Tams of Vancouver, B.C. He was predeceased by parents William and Senja Tams and brother Leslie Tams. Dennis spent most of his working career at Northern Woods (30+ years) in various positions, rising to the rank of 2nd class Stationery Engineer, a position of which he was very proud. As an avid outdoorsman, most of his recreational time was spent fishing, golfing, snowmobiling and nature walks with his true buddy Boxer "Chevy" whom he took almost everywhere he went. Dennis will be sadly missed by all his friends (the Tarmola gang) too numerous to name and his good friends at the Thunder Bay Airport. Special friends like Brenda Legace and Seppo Korte were a big part of Dennis’ life. With a heart as big as the outdoors, he was willing to help anyone whenever asked, even sponsoring underprivileged children through World Vision. A Celebration of Life for Dennis Charles Tams will be held on Thursday, October 2nd, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Oliver Road Community Centre, 563 Oliver Road. MORICE, Velma (Lee) (nee Shepherd) Born Velma Shepherd on Valentines Day 1903, she departed this life peacefully at Park Lane Terrace Nursing Home in Paris on Saturday, September 27th, 2008, in her 106th year. Predeceased her 1st husband Clifton Lee and her 2nd husband Wilfred Morice; her two brothers John Shepherd and his wife Louise Smith and 2nd wife Blanche Proper and Wray Shepherd and his wife Vera Crumback. She is also predeceased by her daughter Eleanor Pocrnic and her husband Nick. Velma is survived by her two sons John Lee and his wife Dorothee and James Lee and his wife Audrey. Cherished grandmother of Gary, Andre, Lori, Kevin and six great- grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by family and friends. DUJAY, Carl The death of Carl Dujay, age 78, of Amherst, NS and formerly of Joggins, NS and Ottawa, ON, occurred at the Gables Nursing Home Amherst, on Friday, Sept. 26, 2008. Born in Joggins, he was a son of the late John and Leanna Dujay. A school teacher, Carl taught for over 30 years with the High School of Commerce, Ottawa, retiring to Joggins. He was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Joggins. Carl will be sadly missed by the remaining members of his family, Victor Dujay and Marcella MacKay, nieces and nephews. Carl's remains have been cremated under the direction of the River Hebert and Joggins Community Funeral Home, there will be no visitation. JESSEN, Herluf Runge Peacefully, at home, with his family by his side, on September 25, 2008, in his 84th year, after a courageous battle with Mesothelioma. Loving husband of Alice (Rodtness), dear father of Kim (Eileen), Jeff (Heather) and Steven (Christine). Precious Bedstefar of Kelcie, Brayden, Erica, Dana and Lee. Herluf, his wife Alice, and young son Kim came to Canada from Denmark in 1957, and he quickly established a long career as an administrator at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. His life revolved around his family, and he had a mission that his children stay connected to the Danish family. His mission was successful. Herluf also enjoyed an enduring relationship with the Sage Kiwanis and helped found the Danish Club of Ottawa. Herluf loved to golf and, most of all, spend time with his children, grandchildren and friends at the cottage. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends. CROMBIE, Stuart William July 29, 1951 - September 26, 2008 It is with the deepest sadness we can imagine that we, David, Marin, Laura, Bryna, Adele, and Taylor, announce the passing of our dad, Stuart William Crombie. Dad was born in Calgary and spent his life here as his family's anchor, though he reveled in his vacation adventures which included many sailing trips and road trips in his latest prized vehicle. He was good at everything he endeavoured to do and was an expert woodworker, listener, and problem solver. Dad was loved and respected by everyone who met him and had the ability to make others feel like better people for having known him. Dad's family was his pride and joy and he was never happier than when the house was full with his grandchildren Hannah, Eric, Clare, and Jane dancing and playing.
