CRAGO,Deborah Michelle 2008-08-08 Entered Heaven to be with the Lord, on August 1, 2008, after a lengthy illness and a courageous struggle with MS in Calgary, formerly of Thunder Bay. Deborah attended Shuniah St. Public School, Lakeview High School, and Lakehead University, (for a short time). She loved and excelled in playing the piano. She will be sadly missed by her mother Mary and Joe Igneczi, sister Janice Mihaljevic (Marino) and extended loving family, daughter Bryanne Rempel (Raymond) and grandson Wyler. Son Graham Crago, nephew Richard Young. aunt & uncle, Vera and John Huk, nephews Dave & Brian Huk. Husband Tim Crago, and (in-laws) Betty and Sam Crago. Predeceased by her father and grandparents, Mary (Baba) and John Huk, Stan and Helen Haber. There will be a private funeral service at Riverside Cemetery, for Family and Friends, on Tuesday August 12, 2008 at 11:00 am, followed by a light lunch at the Italian Cultural Center at 11:30 am. Gail Donna Hartery 1949-2008 Mrs. Gail Hartery passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Tuesday July 29, 2008 at the age of 59. She was the daughter of the late Basil and Doris (Russell) Jay. Gail was a homemaker and attended St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Miramichi. She was a past president of the Lioness Club. Besides her husband, Lyman Hartery, she is survived by three daughters, Colleen of South Esk., Karen Blackmore (William) of Connecticut U.S.A. and Jennifer Curtis (Robert) of Maple Glen; one son, Jonathan at home; two sisters, Betty Clancy (James) of Derby and Lynn McKay (James) of Quispamsis; and four grandchildren, Lucas, Christopher, Rylan, and Kacey Gail; and several nieces and nephews. At the request of Gail there was no visitation at the funeral home. A memorial service was held on Saturday at 10am from the Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel with Father Tom Fowler officiating assisted by Reverend Willard Watling. Organist Mary Butler accompanied Susan Butler in the singing of the hymns. A eulogy was given by Reverend Willard Watling. Burial was in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Hospital or to the I. W. K. Daniel Kobe, of RR 3 Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Thursday, July 31, 2008. He was 88. Born in Bentinck Township, son of the late Daniel and Annie (Schuknecht) Kobe. Dan farmed all his life until retiring. Survived by wife Marjorie (Corlett) Kobe, whom he married 57 years ago; daughters Doris Kobe of RR 3 Hanover, Grace (Steve) Selk of Fairfax, Virginia, U.S.A., granddaughters Karen and Susanne. Also survived by sister Pearl (Allister) MacKay of Ripley. Predeceased by brothers Ken, Dave and Harry and a sister, Ruby Schmidt. COLLINS, Margaret Winnifred (O'Brien) January 7, 1913 - August 3, 2008 Our dear Mom, Margaret Winnifred (O'Brien) Collins, passed away on Vancouver Island, August 3, 2008 at the age of 95, with her daughter Nancy at her side. She had a life filled with love and laughter, optimism in the face of many challenges and unwavering devotion to her family. Mom loved bridge and books, Jeopardy and the Golf channel, music and parties. Our family gathered for her 95th birthday party in January and she repeated only days ago that it was "the best time I ever had in my life". She is back in the arms of our Dad, Cec, who has been waiting for their next dance since 1973. Predeceased by two sisters and two brothers, her memory will be kept affectionately by her son Mark Collins, her daughters Nancy (Bill) Wilson and Shelagh (Bill) Rathgeber, her grandchildren, Jason, Tyler and Michael Collins, Zak (Laura), Travis (Pat) and Jason Rathgeber and Brandi Wilson, her great-grandchildren Kyle and Ryan Collins and Cody Wilson, her sisters Mary (Ron) Fath and Nancy McLaughlin, dozens of nieces and nephews, and a wealth of longtime and new friends. Mom lived a full and happy life right up to the end when she went quickly and peacefully which is what she always wanted. At her request no formal service is planned although a Mass will be said in her honour. A tea for family and friends will be held at a later date. PARLEE, LAWRENCE " LARRY" - Clifton, Maine - Lawrence C. Parlee, 80, died peacefully, August 5, 2008 at his home in Clifton. He was born October 3, 1927 in Haverhill, MA. The son of Harold E. and Ella J. (Cunningham) Parlee. He belonged to the local Union #1253 (I.B.E.W), enjoyed his ham Radio (K.I.D.V.W). Larry loved to play his guitars, banjo, and his harmonica. Most of all he enjoyed taking his dog Bruno for a ride on his Harley-Davidson in the side car, or his MG-Midget. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia L. (Parlee). Fox and husband, Ross of Clifton, Maine; four grandchildren, Crystal Rose, Elizabeth Marie, Jonathan Ross, and Timothy Daniel; five great grandchildren, Zacary, Bailee-Ann, Cole, Tara, and River; one uncle, Arthur Parlee of Ontario, Canada; two aunts, Effie Jardine and Bertha Jardine of Sussex, N.B., Canada; he was predeceased by parents, his wife, Marion Elizabeth (Lanchance) Parlee; two brothers, Harold Parlee Jr. and Clifford Parlee. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2008, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St. Bucksport, Maine with Pastor David Fox officiating. PUSSINEN, Meeri 2008-08-08 PUSSINEN Mrs. Meeri Pussinen, age 83 years passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospice. Meeri was born on September 25, 1924 in Vaasa, Finland. In 1943 she married Viktor Pussinen and in 1951, together with their family moved to Canada. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, keeping a spotless home and spending time with her family. Meeri is survived by her loving husband Viktor; daughter Aira Kaduc; sons Raimo (Robyn) and John; 7 granddaughters and her sister Sylvi Ritola in Finland. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive in Finland. Funeral services for the late Mrs. Meeri Pussinen will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 11:30 A.M. in Hilldale Lutheran Church with Pastor Jari Lahtinen officiating. June Patricia Daymond (nee Ramsay) of Oakville, Ontario, age 80 years. Born in Summerside PEI, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Alberta (Bowness) Ramsay. Survived by her husband Stewart Francis Daymond, children Deborah (John Wood), Gail (Glenn Piotrowski), Alan (Diane Davey), Neil (Connie Keiser) all of whom had benefited by years of motherly wisdom and total love in ways that will nurture them during their future lives, grandchildren Jason, Michael, Alan and Jenny Wood; Katie, Andrew, Amy, Kiri and William Piotrowski; Nicholas, Thomas, and Senna Daymond; sisters Kathleen King and Alice Steeves; nieces and nephews Katherine, Heather, Leesa and Michael Daymond; Mike, Jeff and Paul Ramsay; Phillip, Jane King; Danny, David, Christie, Kathy Steeves, predeceased by her brother Wilson Ramsay.
