JAMES, Helmina Hansina Alina - Peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Monday, July 28, 2008, in her 92nd year. Aline was the loving wife of the late Bert (1999). Much loved stepmother of Ken James of Acton and Janice and her husband Wayne Miller of Drumbo. Adoring grandmother of Autumn Wooldridge of Ottawa and Amber and her husband Anish Ghosh of Drumbo. She is survived by her sister Olga Andreas of Medicine Hat and brother Roy Moen and his wife Katherine of St. Catharines. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins throughout Ontario and the western provinces. Fondly remembered by her special friends Karen and Dale Debnam and their family. Aline enjoyed life to the fullest. In her early years, Aline was a fly-in-nurse in the Yukon, later a nurse at Ridley College in St. Catharines, and then moved to Lindsay where she was a probation and after care officer with the Kawartha Lakes Training School. Aline loved what she did, and met the challenges with the confidence that comes with conviction and the strength that comes with character. Her passion was owning Standardbred Horses, she and Bert enjoyed seeing the horses race. Aline was able to enjoy an evening at the races last week. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the MACKEY FUNERAL HOME, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Wednesday, July 30th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. Private interment at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. Joe was born on St. Joseph Island where he married his wife, Jen, of 66 years and then moved to Sudbury and then Lively in 1951. Will be sadly missed by his wife and best friend Jean (nee MacDonald) See. Dearly loved father of Barbara Moxam and her husband Ken, and Beverly Urquhart (predeceased) and her husband Bruce. Dear brother of Harold See (Three Hills, Albt) and Eileen Ward (Lively). Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Annie See, sister Verna and brothers Leslie, Jim and Clifton. Cherished grandfather of Heather Moxam, Tammi Parry (Ian), Jamie White (Jerrol), Gary J. Moxam (Cristina), Jim Urquhart (Karen), Kristen Urquhart (Richard) and Megan Urquhart. Beloved great grandpa of Curtis and Taiya Parry and Brendan and Nathan White. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Joseph worked for INCO at Creighton Mine for over 38 years. He was a past member of the Odd Fellows, Inco Quarter Century Club and Lively Senior Citizens. He will be remembered as a very hard worker who enjoyed his camps on Fairbank Lake with the grandchildren, and as a generous kind man with an extremely keen sense of humour. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting and watching the Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was devoted to his family who were the centre of his life and our world is a better place having had him in our lives. Joyce was a resident of Bluewater Country Adult Living, was an active member in the community, and was a supporter of Sarnia YMCA, Grace United Church, and many other organizations. Joyce was a resident of Sarnia for 41 years, was an avid golfer and Bridge player and loved to travel the world. A memorial service will be held at Grace United Church, 990 Cathcart Blvd., Sarnia, on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment of ashes at a later date in Greenbank Cemetery. ISOM, Dorothy Mary - Peacefully passed away at Bluewater Health Mitton Street Site on Monday, July 28, 2008, Dorothy Mary (Pippard) Isom, age 81 of Sarnia.Dear and loving mother of Susan Brown of Sarnia and John Isom of Citrus Heights, California. Predeceased by son Fred (1977) and grandson John (1976). Special companion of Harry Dawson. Cherished grandmother of Lori Ann Tocher of Okotoks, AB, Mike (Robin) Brown of Brigden, Tom Brown and Jim Brown of Sarnia, and Tom (Amy) Isom of Mount Jackson, Virginia and Melissa (Mike) Davis of Indiana. Special Nanny of 12 great grandchildren. Also survived by Susan and John's father, Jack Isom and his wife Arlene. Dorothy was a retiree of Imperial Oil with over 30 years of service. She was also a lifetime member of St. John's Anglican Church and Women's Auxilliary. She was especially devoted to her cats and her favourite pastimes of sewing and quilting. GUIMOND, MABEL M. - The death of Mabel M. Guimond of 36 Brentwood Crescent, widow of Gregory Guimond, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, July 27, 2008. Mabel was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Felix and Ursula (Cyr) Hebert. She had been employed at the Saint John General Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital for many years until her retirement a number of years ago. She was predeceased by three brothers, Vincent, Donald, and Bernard Hebert. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Porter (Brian) of Saint John; three granddaughters, Natalie Jacquart (Mike), and Tanya Hussey (Jeff), both of Saint John, and Brenda McIntyre (Brian) all of Willow Grove; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. DEVER, JOSEPH ALBERT - The death of Joseph Albert Dever of Bayside, NB, husband of Edna (Williams - Ackroyed) Dever, occurred on Monday, July 28, 2008 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Born in St. Stephen on March 21, 1915 he was a son of the late Frederick and Gertrude (Densmore) Dever. Joe had been employed as a gardener at the Cotton Mill in St. Andrews. Survived by his wife, two children, Paula (David) George of Bucksport, Maine, and Geraldine (William) Phillips of Ontario; one brother, Harry Dever of Milltown, NB; five step-children, Bonita (Dennis) Murray-Weir of Riverview, NB, Barbara (Daniel) Saunders of Westfield, NB, Brenda (Keith) Johnson of Carters Point, NB, Richard (Angela) Ackroyed, both of Saint John, NB; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. T. William (Bill) Allen T. William (Bill) Allen of Riverview passed away Monday July 28, 2008 at the Moncton Hospital at the age of 59. Born in Campbellton he was the son of the late Thomas and Beulah (McDavid) Allen. Bill was formerly employed with the CNR from 1971 until he transferred to Marine Atlantic in 1982 from where he retired in 1999He was member of the CN Men's Bowling League and very active in coaching Riverview Minor Softball. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Sandra (LeBourque), daughters; Penny of Halifax, Crystal of Fredericton, a sister Susan Hemy (Bill) of Calgary. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview, NB (869-2007) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. A service celebrating Bill's life will take place on Thursday July 31 at 1:00 PM from Cobb's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Kathleen Elizabeth Peacock, RN 1905 - 2008 Sackville, NB - It is with sadness that the family of Kathleen (Stone) Peacock, announce her passing on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the Sackville Special Care Home. Kathleen was 103 years of age. Born in Westcock, N.B. she was the daughter of the late Robert and Cynthia (Sears) Stone. Kathleen was a nursing graduate from Highland Vew Regional Hospital in 1925 and went on to work in Amherst, N.S., Port Elgin, N.B. and finally in Sackville from where she worked from 1959 until her retirement in 1972. She was a member of the Sackville Senior Citizens Club and was a long-time resident of Kingwood Manor in Sackville. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her son Malcolm Peacock of Hillsborough, NB; three grandchildren, Tim (Fiona) Peacock of Wolfville, N.S., Nancy (Gerald) LaForest of Riverview, N.B. and Kathryn (Darrel) Morice of Sackville, N.B.; six great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Justin, Emogen, Ethan, Abbey and William. She was predeceased by her husband William Herman Peacock. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or memorial service as requested by the family. Geneva Hannah 1927 - 2008 Geneva Hannah, 80, of Calder St., Shediac passed away on Monday, July 28, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital, Moncton after a courageous battle with cancer. Born August 14, 1927 in Notre-Dame, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Alice (Cormier) Poirier. Prior to her retirement, Geneva was employed with the Villa Providence, Shediac. She was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 33, Shediac and the Club d'âge d'or, Shediac and Shediac Hospice. She is survived by three daughters: Patricia Léger(Dolland) of Dieppe, Bibianne Cook (Douglas) of Shediac Bridge, Gloria Drisdelle (Paul-Yvon Surette) of Moncton; one son Philip Drisdelle of Moncton; a special friend René LeBlanc, four sisters: Aurore Bilodeau of Leominster, Mass., Angenette Mazerolle and Gloria Jessulat both of Shediac, Diana Brown of St-Antoine; one brother Guy Poirier(Gemma) of Notre-Dame; six grandchildren: Sylvie, André, Catrine, Geneviève, Stéphanie, Max; five great grandchildren: Maya, Jade, Roxanne, Sébastien, and Eve; and by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her 1st husband Edouard Drisdelle, her 2nd husband William Douglas Hannah, two sisters: Eléonore, and Jeannine, and by four brothers: Jean-Paul, Arthur, Alonzo and Ray Poirier. Lorraine Rioux 1929-2008 Au Manoir de Grand-Sault, le dimanche 27 juillet 2008, à l'âge de 79 ans, est décédée Lorraine Côté, épouse de feu Gilbert M. Rioux, domiciliée à Grand-Sault. McINTYRE, Jean (nee Cruickshank) February 27, 1923 - July 27, 2008 Jean McIntyre, of Calgary, born in Amulet, SK on February 27, 1923, passed away on July 27, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Her determination and positive attitude throughout her battle with cancer is an inspiration to all who knew her. Jean was predeceased by her husband Donald Alfred in 1997. She was the beloved mother of son Norman (Lana), and two daughters Gloria and Shirley (Ken).
