Viola is survived by her children Llewellyn (Lindy) friend Ann, Wayne (Marguerite), Trevor (Elizabeth), Juanita Curran (Paul), Rhoda Slagel, and daughter-in-law Jeannette. Viola was the first born child of the late Penman and Edith Dool. She is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. KALNINS, Smaida (nee: Putelis) - On Friday, February 22, 2008 Smaida (known also as Olga) passed peacefully at the General Hospital in St. Catharines, Ontario. Smaida was in her 81st year, having been born on August 6, 1927 in Latvia. Smaida was predeceased by her loving husband Raimonds to whom she was married for nearly 49 years. She leaves behind a dear son Raymond, his wife Delores and a grandchild Chase; a loving daughter Dinah, her husband Clarence and loving grandchildren Leah, Julia and Winter. Smaida immigrated to Canada at the end of the Second World War seeking freedom and new hope. Always grateful to this country, she worked in various capacities, but was known primarily as an accomplished floral designer. Mrs. Kalnins is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. in St. Catharines. Olive will be missed by her five grandsons; Mitch, Brad, Warren, James and Matt. Predeceased by her sister Ruth. REBELLATO, Albert “Fatty“ Anthony - In loving memory of Albert “Fatty“ Rebellato, 80 years who passed away Friday, February 22nd, 2008 at the Pioneer Manor, Sudbury. Albert “Fatty“ Rebellato, born August 30, 1927, passed away peacefully among friends at Pioneer Manor, Sudbury on Friday, February 22, 2008 at age 80. God blessed Albert with many wonderful attributes from his creative genius to his incredible ability in sports. As one of the top structural steel detailers in Ontario, Albert left a legacy of creative designs including St. Jean De Brebeuf Church, the Sudbury General Hospital, Laurentian University buildings, and of course, INCO's 1,250-foot Superstack built in 1972. Albert loved his sports. He will be remembered for his contribution in hockey with the Copper Cliff Redmen, the Sudbury Oldtimers, and the 1949 Sudbury Wolves World Hockey Championship team. He was a force to be reckoned with on the golf course, the baseball field, the bocce court, the curling rink, and on the dance floor as a jitterbug champion. Albert was a life member of the Societa Caruso, a charter member of the Club Montessori in 1960, and a long-term member of the Idylwylde. Always a comedian with a large following of friends, Albert will be remembered most as a loving, caring family man. Beloved husband of Alchea “Chea“ (Midena) Rebellato predeceased 2006. Beloved mother of Brian (Gail) Ibiza, Spain, Judith (Rev. John Smith) Hamilton, Ontario, Janice (Robert Rowe) Kingston, Ontario. Survived by her sister Mabel Reilly of Oshawa, her sister-in-law Bessie Pollard of Preston and many nieces and nephews. Grandmother and great-grandmother of Nieves Pollard, (Gaston Deza), and their daughter Jazmin, of Ibiza, Spain, Hayley Smith Post (Isaac) of Washington DC., Drew Smith (Hamilton), Jock Smith (Hamilton), Travis (Susan) Rowe and their sons Miles and Everett of Belleville, Ben (Colleen) Rowe and their daughters Peyton and Katie of Belleville, Olivia Rowe Ovens (Jeff) of Kingston. May was a lifelong member of King Street Baptist Church in Preston, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cobourg for many years. Our Mom and Grandma will be greatly missed. MacRAE, Donald Anthony - Peacefully at Trillium Villa Nursing Home on Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 , Donald Anthony (Dinny) MacRae, age 94 of Sarnia, beloved husband of the late Lois Jean (McColl) MacRae (1976). Dear father of Donald MacRae and his wife Judy of King City, Karen Chumko and Bruce MacRae and his wife Kathy all of Sarnia. Grandfather of Jennifer, Brad, Donald, Jody and Julie, great grandfather of Kyleah, Ethan, Mathea, Tyler and Schae. Predeceased by his brothers Elmer, Omar, Robert and Jack. Mr. MacRae was a life member of the Scottish Rite and life member of the Point Edward Ex-Serviceman's Club and Branch #62 of the Royal Canadian Legion. VAUTOUR, JOSEPH VINCENT - Of Public Landing. Husband of Cheryl (Donaldson) Vautour passed away peacefully with his family at his side on February 24th, 2008. He was the son of Irene (Cormier) and the late Anthony Vautour. A great man was born on April 6, 1943. He touched the hearts and souls of everyone he met. If you were blessed enough to know him you know he is an unforgettable man. He loved the sport of boxing and talking on his CB radio, using the name Black Mustang. He had an unbelievable sense of humor and loved nothing more than spending time with his family up on look out hill, listening to bluegrass and having a couple of cold ones. He was a teacher, a listener, an inspiration and a rock for his whole family. He will be very much missed by all. Always a family man, he will be sadly missed by his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Searria; and son, Chris; three sons, Vince (Lisa), Derek (Lindsey) and Stephen (Holly); grandchildren, Tyler, Abigail, Maranda, Keshia, Matthew, and Meghan; two sisters; several brothers; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his wife, Sharon (Smith) Vautour; and two brothers, Jude and Reggie. MacDONALD, SISTER SUSAN J. - The death of Sister Susan J. MacDonald (Sr. Mary Victorine) occurred at Ruth Ross Residence on Saturday, February 23, 2008. Sister Susan was born in Harcourt, N.B., a daughter of the late Robert and Julia (Morton) MacDonald. She entered the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception on December 7, 1927. Sister taught at several schools in various provinces throughout Canada during her teaching career, which included Woodstock, Silver Falls, Maisey's & St. Stephen, N.B.; Vancouver and Powell River, B.C.; Nostalgia, Quebec, and Digby, N.S. Upon her retirement from teaching Sister Susan ministered to the residents at Rocmaura Nursing Home by volunteering her skills as an Arts and Crafts instructor. She was predeceased by six brothers, Father Angus MacDonald, Robert MacDonald, Malcolm MacDonald, Thomas MacDonald, Rainsforth MacDonald, and Louis MacDonald; and three sisters, Sister Sarah MacDonald, S.C.I.C., Helen MacDonald, and Patricia MacDonald. She is survived by one sister, Miss Rita MacDonald of Rexton, N.B.; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at St. Vincent's Convent, 31 Cliff St., with visiting on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Evening Vigil Service will be held on Monday evening at seven o'clock. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Vincent's Chapel on Tuesday morning at ten o'clock.
