Beloved wife of the late Erland Myers. Loving mother of Rudell of Hamilton, Rosalene (Rose) and her husband Don Nesbitt of La Salle, and Earla and her husband Don Sheppard of Stoney Creek. Dear grandmother of Vicki (Clinansmith) and great grandmother of Alison of Windsor and Paul Nesbitt of Chatham. Eugenie was a member of the Rebekah Lodge (Forward Lodge of Hagersville; Centennial Lodge of Brantford and Lynda Lodge of Lynden) for over 65 years. Edwin Lee Mitchell 1924 - 2008 Mr. Edwin Lee Mitchell of Foyer St. Bernard, Neguac, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, Miramichi, NB on Tuesday, February 5th, 2008, at the age of 84 years. Born 1924 in South Branch, NB, he was the son of the late William George Mitchell and the late Mabel (Beers) Mitchell. He is survived by his brother, John; sisters-in-law, Eleanor and Edna, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant sister, Dorothy; sisters, Helen, Emma and brothers, Harold, Kenneth, Ernest, Alfred and Arthur. Lyle was a hardworking farmer most of his life, and a heavy equipment operator. Lyle showed his love for people through his smile and caring ways. He was a loving, caring husband and father. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy, and daughter Tasha-Marie, Lockhartville; brothers, Evans, George, Merly; sisters, Marion, Anna, Norma, Eileen, Lorna. Margie was many things in life. She was the cornerstone of her family, a friend to all, and a grammie so proud of her grandchildren. Whether she was exercising her green-thumb, dancing the evening away, traveling an adventure, or cooking up a special treat to fill your tummy, Margie's loving nature, warm heart, strength of character, and beautiful smile was evident to all. Margie was sweetheart to Phil; mom to Mike, Darren, Connie, and Steve; grammie to Emily, Meaghan, Mark, Cody, Ryan, Libby, and Connor; she was sister to David; mother-in-law to Chrissy, Kim, Alicia, and Mike; and best friend to Fronz. MacDONALD, Charles "Wayde" MacDONALD, Charles "Wayde" - 41, Maryvale, Antigonish Co., passed away February 4, 2008, at home. He was a son of Hugh Angus (Shirlee) and the late Anna Marie (Frosst) MacDonald. Wayde, known by most as Gopher, loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed four wheeling, skidooing, and plowing! Anyone who knew Wayde knew he was always up for a tour! He played a great game of darts, enjoyed scuba diving, and was a jack-of-all-trades. Wayde worked in the fishing industry for many years and will be remembered by all at the wharves where he had worked. He was also a member of the Four Valley's Fire Department. Wayde was a friend to all and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He is survived by his wife, Sonya (MacGillivray); children, Nicole, Zackery and Ruth Anne, all at home; brothers, Michael (Susan) and Allan, Mississauga; sisters, Mary Jo (Blaine Jessome), Lower South River; Louise, Antigonish; Juanita (Daniel MacGillivray), Morristown; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. PITTMAN, James PITTMAN, James - 1940-2008. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend James Pittman on January 30, 2008. Jim was known to us for many years. He worked as a fisherman in his younger years. Never losing his love of the sea, Jim was a wonderful model boat builder whose work can be seen at Metro Non Profit Housing Association's Housing Support Centre. Jim faced his adversities with humour and courage. He was a cancer survivor and had to learn how to use a voice aid. He did this with great tenacity and perseverance. He will be remembered for his lovable nature and great sense of fun. He will be greatly missed. There will be a service for Jim with Father George Leach officiating on Friday, February 8, at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 2267 Brunswick St. Jim loved the Shining Lights Choir and the choir will be performing in his honour at this service. ROSE, Frederick "Fred" ROSE, Frederick "Fred" - Beloved husband, father and grandfather, 92, passed away in Halifax on February 5, 2008. Born in Providence, R.I., he was a son of the late Max and Sadie Rose. He was the founder and president of M. Rose & Sons Ltd., a grower, broker and exporter of fresh produce to Europe and South America since 1943. He enjoyed playing bridge, as well as being active as a Mason, Shriner, a member and officer of Rotary International and the Potato Shippers Association of New Brunswick. He was named an honorary citizen of Scotsdale, Ariz., in recognition of his community service in Woodstock. He was a kind and gentle man. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sara; son, Norman (Linda); daughter, Susan (Joe); brother, Hyman (Rhoda); grandchildren, Andrea, Stephanie, Mitchell, Elin, and Marla; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Milton (Fannie), Leo (Sylvia), Ezra (Isabel), and sister, Esther Marcus (Sidney). Funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Shaar Shalom Synagogue with interment in Shaar Shalom Cemetery. Shiva will be at 376 Franklyn St., following interment and in the evenings at 7 p.m., with morning services at Beth Israel Synagogue.

Peter started his teaching career, and moved into Guidance, at Sudbury High School, Sudbury, Ont. In 1969, Peter and Shirley moved their family to Sarnia and Peter took the position of Vice-Principal and teacher at Northern Collegiate. Peter retired in 1989 and dedicated his retirement years to his beloved family. Peter thoroughly enjoyed life. He was an avid walker, eternal optimist, and lover of life. Peter was always ready with a good joke and could see humour in life's experiences. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survived by his brother Joe Pilot (Alfreda), his brother-in-law Vincent Zimmerman and their families. Predeceased by his parents John and Bernice Pilot. Andrew worked at the Sunbeam Shoe Factory in Port Colborne and retired in 1989 after 46 years of service. He was a member of the Central United Church in Port Colborne. Andrew enjoyed golfing, time spent with his friends at the Casino and his family. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements with the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 in the Armstrong Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. SCALZO, Alfred 'Chuck'' - Passed away at North Bay General Hospital, Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the age of 82. Chuck Scalzo was the beloved husband of the late Eileen Gribbons and Nelda Zufelt. He is survived by his son Greg Stevens (Scalzo) and his mother Virginia Macdow of Toronto; his step-sons Danny Leahy (Juliana), North Vancouver; Tom Gribbons (Lisa), Rothesay, New Brunswick; Warren Gribbons, Toronto; step-daughter, Lauren Gribbons (Mike), Oakland, California.
