PALMER, Renée Claire - 1983/09/22 - 2008/02/02 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Renée Claire Palmer at the Kingston General Hospital after a valiant three-year battle with cancer. Beloved daughter of Colette Séguin-Palmer and Michael Palmer and big sister of Leif Palmer. Throughout her life and especially during her illness Renée was always outgoing, positive, and selfless - always putting the welfare of others before herself. She was a great inspiration to everyone especially her brother Leif. Renée was a passionate student of école Cathedral and Regiopolis Notre Dame. She went on to achieve a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Arts - Studio Art) with a minor in philosophy from The University of Guelph. Renée will be deeply missed by her family and by her grandmother Lillian Palmer and her numerous aunts and uncles and cousins: Jason, Genny, Amy, Melissa, Philip, Jessica, Sarah, Christopher, Geoffery, Harmony (niece), Lily, Larissa, Jordan, Adam and Alison. Family and friends will be received on Thursday February 7, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday February 8, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the GORDON F. GERHART, Muriel (nee Hadley) May 31, 1918 - January 28, 2008 Muriel Gerhart of Calgary, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2008 at the age of 89 years. She was born in Toronto and raised in Buffalo. As a young girl she moved back to Toronto and lived most of the rest of her life in southern Ontario. After Toronto, there was Clarkson in southwest Mississauga and then Parry Sound. In her last years, when her ability to care for herself diminished, she moved to Calgary to be near her children. Muriel was a wonderful singer and that showed in everything she did. Whether she was actually singing, on stage, in a recital or in church, or looking after a sibling or an aged parent, making a place for her own family to grow, running a business, contributing to her community, or dealing with the limitations that old age finally brought to her, she found the music and sang it into whatever came her way. We will miss her so much, but her music stays with us. Muriel is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Rhonde and Richard LeSueur, and their two children Jamie and Philip of Calgary; by son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Mary Ann and their two children Meghan and David of Lethbridge; and by her brother Bernard Hadley of Parry Sound, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband Gene, brothers Stan and Ray, father Albert and mother Mabel. A Private Family Memorial will be held at a later date. HALL, Harold James 1910 - 2008 Mr. Harold James Hall passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on Friday, February 1, 2008 at the age of 97 years. Harold taught school in Oyen and later became the Superintendent of Schools for the Rocky Mountain House Division and the Red Deer County. He is survived by his devoted wife of seventy-one years Doris (Dolly), who was always by his side, his four children Donna (Gordon), Lois, Leonard (Sally), Linda (Rick), nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. WHYTE, James - It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of James (Jim) Whyte on Thursday, January 31st, 2008 at the age of 73 in Oakville, Ontario. Jim lived in Oakville for a brief two months to be near his family but he remained a Trentonian at heart. Beloved husband of Rejeanne (Jean) for 50 years. Loving father of Christine (Rick Shea), Cathy (Bill Dithurbide), Steven (Cheryl) and Rejeanne-Elizabeth (Robert Krepps). Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Addie Whyte, and sister Pearl. Survived by brothers Michael, Joseph (Denise), Patrick (Ann), Patsy (Phil Dell) and Theresa (Roy Brown). Papa was a proud and adoring grandfather of Taylor, Ryan, Grace and John. Ever remembered by his nieces and nephews. Jim touched the lives of all who knew him through his participation in local sports. He spent countless hours organizing, coaching, officiating and watching hockey, baseball and football. VINCENT, ELIZA MARY (St. John's, NL) Passed peacefully away at the Agnes Pratt Home on Thursday, January 31, 2008. Born at Cape Freels, Bonavista Bay on November 5, 1905, she was the only daughter of John and Keziah Stokes. Beside her parents, she was pre-deceased by loving husbands, Jabez Hann and Isaac Vincent; and brothers Jacob and Walter. She is the last member of her family. Eliza was a life-long member of the United Church of Canada and the United Church Women. In earlier years she served the Church in various capacities, and while at The Agnes Pratt Home she was active in its community life, often leading worship services in the chapel. Leaving to celebrate her life with joyful thanksgiving and cherished memories are her children, Rev. Boyd (Maxine) Fredericton, NB, Rose Sutton (Harry), Burgoyne's Cove, NL, John, Cape Dorset, Nunavut, and Phyllis White, Labrador City; as well as nine special grandchildren, Rob and Shelley Vincent; Juanita and Tom Sutton; Corey Vincent; Max, Ross, and Tony White; and Janice Green; as well as several great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John's, NL on Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and then on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. CAMPBELL, GLEN LESLIE Mr. Glen Leslie Campbell, husband or Marion (Kervin) Campbell, of 10755 Route 8 Blissfield NB, passed away Sunday evening at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 78. Born in Upper Blackville, he was the son of the late Charles and Violet (Arbeau) Campbell. He was a retired Woodsman and a member of New Zion Baptist Church, Upper Blackville, NB. Besides his wife, Marion, he is survived by three daughters, Glenna Sullivan (Barry) of Grand Manan, Christina Campbell of New Bandon, Lillian Morehouse (Michel) of Dieppe; two sons, Robert Campbell (Shana) of New Bandon, Charles Campbell (Wendy) of New Bandon; one sister, Janet Black (Larry) of Boston Mass; two brothers, Orville Campbell (Rhona) of Fredericton; Rev. Floyd Campbell (Marjorie) of Upper Blackville and nine grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Lee and Carl and one sister, Thelma. Mr. Glen Leslie Campbell, will be resting at New Zion Baptist Church, Upper Blackville, with visitation on Tuesday from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 . The Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 2 pm from New Zion Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul Inman officiating. Burial will be in Upper Blackville Cemetery later in the spring.
