Loving husband of the late Patricia (nee Fester) (June 23, 2007). Dear father of Debbie (Samuel) Lake of St. Kitts, West Indies, Brad (Lori) Taylor of St. Anns. Proud grandfather of Jerrid and Samantha Taylor. Brother of Marion (Larry) Jennings (Bond) of Hamilton, Frank Taylor of Mississauga, Jeff (Jeanette) Godsoe of Stoney Creek, Judy Godsoe of Hamilton and the late Ken MacDonald (Bernice) of Hamilton. Bill served in the Royal Canadian Navy 1954-59, was a member of Branch #612 RCL, and Beamsville Lawn Bowling. Cremation has taken place. DELUCA, FRANK - Passed away suddenly on Thursday January 24, 2008, in Woodstock at the age of 55 years. Beloved husband of Justine T. (nee Brown) DeLuca for over 30 years. Beloved father of Adrian and Justin of Toronto and Matthew and Nathan of Woodstock. Dear son of Batistta DeLuca of Woodstock and the late Emma (nee Ambrose) DeLuca. Beloved brother of Virgil of Calgary, Mike and his wife Ann of Mississauga, Teresa Boilard and her husband Reno of Windsor, Linda DeLuca (Derek) of Toronto and IIda DeLuca (Tim) of Oshawa. Also survived by brothers-in-law Lawlor Brown (Kim) and Graham Brown (Kim), sister-in-law Michelle, and several nieces and nephews. Frank was a teacher for over 30 years at Norwich District High School, College Avenue Secondary School and Huron Park Secondary School. He touched the lives of many students, colleagues, and friends. Frank had a passion for math, music, photography, and sports, which he shared with his family, schools, and community. TUBIN, Edward Passed Peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday January 26, 2008 at Kingston Ontario. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jaroslawa (Dziwinska) and his two children, Irena , husband William Macdonald of Kingston, son Stanislaw, wife Brigitte Robinson of Sudbury. He will be missed by his grandchildren, William and Elizabeth of Kingston, Nicholas, Justine, Julien, Felix and Claudine of Sudbury. Also remembered by brother Antoni Tubin of Ottawa, and many nieces and nephews.Edward worked 35 years at the Ottawa Board of Education where he retired at age 65. WADEY, Hilda Dorothy Hilda slipped away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, January 27, 2008 in her 99th year. Predeceased by her 12 brothers and sisters. LEBLANC, Laurie Thomas (Larry). 1922-2008. Larry passed away on January 25, 2008, after a very courageous and well fought battle with melanoma. Larry leaves to mourn his devoted and loving wife of over sixty-one years, Mary (Rose). Also to mourn the loss of their wonderful father are Ken (Helen), Rosemary (Max McPherson), Tom (Linda), Linda (Late Tom Lumb) and Donna (Bill Chmilnitzky). Larry was the proud and supportive grandfather of thirteen and great-grandfather of one, with two on the way. Larry also leaves sister Theresa, Duncan, BC, and brother Harold (Kay), Halifax, NS, and brother Peter (pre-deceased), as well as many other relatives and friends. Larry was a loyal employee of Via Rail (CNR) for forty-eight years. "Thank-you" does not seem enough to all who helped Larry through his "journey", the caring nurses from CLSC, the nursing staff from Lakeshore General Hospital and West Island Palliative Care, your caring and gentle ways make our pain and loss a little easier to bear. PIOTROWSKI, Helena 2008-01-29 It is with great sadness that the family of Helena Piotrowski (Szramenko) announces her sudden passing on Sunday, January 27, 2008 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with her family at her side. Helena was born in Cherkasa, Ukraine and moved to Germany as a young woman to work and it was there she met Stanislaus and fell in love and they were married in 1945. In 1951 they immigrated to Canada with their three children and made Thunder Bay (Port Arthur) their home. Her family was her whole life. Helena attended St. Mary‘s Our Lady Queen of Poland Church and was very active in perogy making at the Church. She loved everyone she worked with and always had a joke or two to tell. She had a very loving and bubbly personality, made friends easily and always had a kind word to say about everyone. She enjoyed knitting, especially slippers for her friends and hats for the Red Cross Society. She loved having company drop in for coffee and conversation and laughs. She enjoyed the casino and loved her annual trips to Black Bear with her daughter Mary. She is survived by sons Pawel, Henry (Betty), daughter Mary (William) Hughes, grandchildren Roxie McIntyre of Warburg, Alberta, Wade (Maureen) Hughes, and Christopher (Amy) Piotrowski, great grandchildren Shylo Fadden, Dakota and Kayla Johnson,Audra-Lynn McIntyre, Heather and Amy Hughes, and Maizey Paige Piotrowski, and great great grandchildren Breanna, Marc, Ashton and Tanisha Fadden. Helena was predeceased by her husband Stanislaus in 1979. Funeral services for the late Mrs. Helena Piotrowski will be held on Friday, February 1, 2008 with family and friends gathering at St. Mary‘s Our Lady Queen of Poland Roman Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM celebrated by Father I. CROTHERS, ASHLEY CONRAD - Ashley Conrad of Gore Rd., Huntingdon, Quebec passed away on January 25, 2008 at the Huntingdon Hospital after a valiant fight with cancer. Born on November 18, 1932, he was the son of the late Morton and Ina (Northrup) Crothers. He is survived by his companion, Pam Thwaites; his daughter, Melody (Ian) Gilmore of London, Ont.; two sons, Dean of London, Ont. and Brian (Michelle) of Toronto; three grandchildren, Rachel and Riley Gilmore and Matthew Crothers; his sister, Marie Turner of Ottawa; his sister-in-law, Lorna Crothers of Sussex; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. He was predeceased by his brother, Morton and his brother-in-law, Brock Turner. The funeral service will be held from Kelly's Funeral Home, Huntingdon on Saturday, February 2, 2008 and 2:00pm. MCCLUNE, FRANK - The death of Frank McClune, loving husband of Eleanor (Logie) McClune, occurred on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1934 in Glasgow, Scotland he was the son of the late Alex and Susan (Shannon) McClune. Frank worked as an Engineer for the Federal Government for 29 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Westfield Golf and Country Club and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Besides his devoted wife of 42 years, Eleanor, he is survived by son, Stuart (Natalie) McClune of Rothesay; daughters, Alison (Bill) McDonald of Prospect, NS and Katrina (Tom) Heatherinton of Grand Bay-Westfield; brothers, Gerrard (Anna) and Vincent McClune both of Scotland; nine grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Matthew, Sarah, Catherine, Aimee, Christian, Addison and Kyle; several cousins, nieces and nephews. By request there will not be visitations. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at the Westfield United Church on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 10:00 am. MOORE, BERNARD F. - January 28, 2008. It is with great sadness that the family of Bernard Moore announce his passing after a courageous battle with cancer. 'Bernie' died peacefully at home on January 28, 2008. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, he moved to Saint John, New Brunswick in 1970 and has been residing in Renforth since 1993. He was retired from Revenue Canada where he had a fulfilling career from 1973 - 1998. Bernie's life was full with his many interests and passions including; spending time with his family, especially his loving wife Gloria, children and grandchildren, boating and puttering at the Wickham camp otherwise known as "Paradise." Bernie will be truly missed by his wife Gloria (nee London); children Glen (Terri) of Saint John, Gary (Isaac) of Moncton, Marie (Brent) of Riverview, Carol (Stephen) of Halifax, Jim (Gwen) of Calgary and Rhyanne (Dion) of Moncton; eight grandchildren; brother Greg of Sydney and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jean; parents George and Florence (nee Cameron); brothers, George and Tom and granddaughter, Ashley. James, Stark Mr. James Stark of Water St Miramichi passed away on Friday Jan 25th at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 82. Brian Roy 1960 - 2008 Brian Roy, 48 of Dieppe, passed away on Friday, January 25th, 2008 at his residence. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of Florence (née: Duguay) and the late Laurie "King" Roy. Brian was employed by the Pepsi Bottling Group, a model car enthusiast, his models were often displayed at local car shows. Beside his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Danielle, at home; two sisters, Annette (Robert Paul) Melanson of Dieppe and Diane (Roger) LeBlanc of Greater Lakeburn; one brother, Richard (Rose-Mai) of Moncton; two half-brothers, Michel (Manon) Leger of Quebec, QC and Claude (Guylaine) Leger of Terre Bonne, QC, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
