Elle laisse dans le deuil cinq enfants: Raymond (Cécile) et Émile de Moncton, Bobby (feu Huberte) Fitchburg, Mass., Gisèle (Gilles Laroche) de Montréal et Jean-Maurice (Sylvette) de Saint-Paul; un frère, Aimé de Saint-Paul; six petits-enfants: Laurence, David, Michael, Philippe, Lisa et Marilène, ainsi que trois arrière-petits-enfants: Marie, Jason et Kevin. TOTH, Joseph Peter - At the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at age 78 years, Joseph Peter Toth. Joseph was the dearly loved only brother of Mary Nemeth and her husband Joseph and will be sadly missed by dear friend and caregiver Nancy Beres. Joseph was predeceased by his father Peter in 1957 at the age of 57 years and by his mother Emma in 1991 at the age of 85 years. Joseph also leaves to mourn his sons and daughters, Helene Martin of Orangeville, David Toth, of Brantford, Mary Beth Baboth of Burlington, Susan Toth Lowe of Toronto and Joseph Jr. of Bermuda and grandchildren. On October 23, Guenther Petersen passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Guenther is survived by his wife Marianne, son Tom and sister-in-law Henny Dehn. Guenther was born in Hamburg, Germany on August 31, 1922. In 1950, he married his beloved Marianne and immigrated to Canada. The next 57 years were spent farming, selling real-estate, and engaging in various entrepreneurial ventures. Guenther was a man who loved nothing more than to golf, fish, and spend time with his wife, whom he adored. He was a big man with a true frontier spirit. He had a big heart and lived his life just as big. While we all miss him, we are consoled in the fact that he has merely gone fishing a river in the hopes that a fish will rise. In respect of his wishes, there will be no funeral service and cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.

Robert Allan Hunsperger, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital, Hanover on Saturday, October 27, 2007. He was 69. Robert was born in Owen Sound. He was the son of the late Melville and Viola (Ariss) Hunsperger. He was employed with Knechtel Furniture and Nordic Furniture until the time of his retirement. Survived by his wife and best friend Shirley, daughter Kimberley (Dale) Becker of Ayton, sons Randall (Debby) Hunsperger of Kitchener, Rob (Wendy) Hunsperger of RR 3, Hanover, grandchildren Jocelyn, Candace, Graeme, Jordann, Elias, Seth and Sadie. Also survived by his sister-in-law Doreen (Dean) Page of Waterloo and their family Nancy, Gwen, Tracey and Cathy. Predeceased by his parents Melville and Viola Hunsperger and father and mother-in-law Walter and Lenore Kennedy. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, George, Joseph (Gabrielle of Sudbury), Charles, Albert, Ludivine, Lucille, Lucien, André, Jeanne, Jean, Noëlla, Aimé and Thérèse. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Laura, Sarah, Logan, Brendon and by his great- grandchildren Aisley and Hayden. Fern was a retired bus driver for 35 years having worked 15 years with Sudbury Transit. Mr. Laberge served with the Canadian Armed Forces and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 76. He was also a member of “Club Amical“, l'Annonciation. His family whom he loved dearly were his priority and he especially enjoyed being surrounded by his grandchildren, his great- grandchildren. Beloved daughter of the late Martin and Greeta (Woodward) McLean both predeceased. Loving sister of Peggy Maynard, Tom, Leo, Paul, Bill and Fr. Ted CSB. all predeceased.(Fr. Ted taught at St. Charles in Sudbury for many years), and Catherine of Toronto. Dear aunt of nieces and nephews in Toronto and Irving, Texas. Joanne went to high school at Loretto Abbey in Toronto. She graduated from the University of Toronto, St. Michael's College with a B.A., completing her post secondary school studies at the Ontario Teacher's College. She taught English at the Secondary School level in Greater Toronto, Hamilton, Owen Sound and New Market. In 1972 she moved to Northern Ontario, teaching in Cochrane, French River, Capreol and Noelville. Retiring in 1988 Joanne moved to Sudbury where she maintained a network of relatives, former classmates, former students and new friends ranging from Eloise Defayette in British Columbia to Janet Garske in Michigan, Aunt Carol in Texas and her sister Catherine in Toronto. In Sudbury she forged new friendships with Kim Scott, Sister Barbara McKinnon, Alice Daoust, Phyllis Gervais and most recently Denise Wright. She was always appreciative of the support she received during a variety of illnesses from the highly professional staff of St. Jospeh's Health Centre, most particularly Dr. McCallister. At Joanne's request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Toronto. MacNEIL, Sean Michael - Valiantly at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal on Monday, October 29th, 2007 in his 34th year. Loving son of Patricia and the late John Conrad MacNeil; brother of Byrdena, Derek, and Kyle; father of Lochlain; loving uncle of Max, Maja, Scott and Alicen. Sean suffered from a congenital heart condition which required many surgeries throughout his life, the first when only 1 day old. Human innovation allowed Sean to survive 33 years and to bring his son Lochlain into this world. His final struggle ended with a leading edge surgery, a mechanical LVAD was installed on Sean's heart to assist with the heart function. The surgery in itself was a success, however, complications following the surgery led to a cascade of problems which eventually caused the remaining function of Sean's heart to give out. Sean had a unique outlook on life which allowed him to stand out in a crowd. Sean would feel some resolve in the fact that his sacrifice has advanced this field of medical science, allowing him to stand out in the crowd one last time. A Memorial Tribute will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 2 pm at the Shakespeare Presbyterian Church, Shakespeare.
