LYNCH, THOMAS "CHOOKIE" - (1923-2007) passed peacefully at his residence on Tuesday July 3, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. Husband of Rhoda (Humphrey) Lynch for 56 loving years. Born in Saint John, a son of the late Joseph and Jennie (Doyle) Lynch. Chookie will be sadly missed by his five daughters; Brenda (Steve) Smith of Rothesay, Gail Seely (Pat Leet) of Coal Branch, Dawn (George) Roberts of Woodstock, Margaret-Ann (Roger) Reid of Saint John, Norma-Jean (Terry) LeBlanc of Saint John, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, James Lynch of Saint John and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Chookie was predeceased by a sister, Anna Brown and four brothers; Charley, Joe, Johnny and Barney. Chookie worked for the water and sewage department for the City of Saint John as a pipe fitter for 37 years. A member of St. Jude's Church as well as a Vestry Member. Also a member of Carleton Branch # 2 Legion and was affectionately known as the "MAYOR" of the West Side. MASSON, ORRY OWEN - passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday July 2, 2007 at the age of 94. Husband of the late Pauline (Burns) Masson. Born in Fairville, son of the late Frank L. and Jessie R. (Fowler) Masson. Orry will be sadly missed by son, Joe (Heather) Masson of Saint John and daughter Judy (Don) Weeks of Quispamsis, five grandchildren; Paul (Mary-Ann), Mark (Jennifer), Dawn, Scott, Adam and one great granddaughter, Brooke. He is also survived by one brother-in-law, Royden Morrow, as well as several nieces, nephews and their families. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his wife and parents, Orry was predeceased by four brothers; Frank G., Carl, Ken, John and four sisters; Helen, Annie, Grace and Kathlyn. Orry was a veteran of WWII serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was employed with NB Power for 35 years retiring in 1978. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69, member of the Lancaster Baptist Church and the NB Power 25 Year Club. He enjoyed 29 years of retirement, fishing, dancing, working in the backyard and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. A very loving and caring person who devoted her life to raising her family. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with family and friends but also made time to read a good book. It was well known that she was the lady responsible for baking the best Buttermilk Pies. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting many personal items that are treasured by the family today. FAGAN, JEAN M. - The death of Jean Margaret Fagan of Meadowbank Manor, Saint John, wife of the late Rene Joseph Fagan, occurred peacefully on Friday, June 29, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Calcutta, India on December 5, 1912, she was the daughter of the late James Carrick and Miriam (Bull) Drummond. Mrs. Fagan was a former member of St. Luke's Anglican Church ACW, the Silver Threads Senior Citizens Club and the Happy Gang Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed sewing, painting, crafting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by three sons, David (Muriel) of Barrie, ON, Larry (Izabell) of Quispamsis and Gerry (Linda) of Grand Bay-Westfield; one daughter, Miriam Patterson of Saint John; six grandchildren, Chris, Lynn, James, Greg, Ryan and Jamie; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, William Drummond and sister, Gladys McKellar. By request there will be no visitation. HOUNSLOW, Theresa Marie (nee Andrea) - With her family by her side, Theresa Marie (Terri) Hounslow passed away on Sunday, July 1st 2007, at Kingston General Hospital, in her 73rd year. Terri was an inspiration to us all as she courageously fought a lengthy battle with Severe Aplastic Anemia. She is survived by Dennis, her loving husband of 51 years, and their children Richard (Pam) of Langley, B.C.; Francine Nobes (Dave) of Stirling; Danny (Jean-Anne) of Belleville, and Paul of Belleville; and grandchildren Andrew, Katie, Kyle, Matthew, Michael, Mitchell and Meaghan. She was predeceased by son Gary in 1974. Terri also leaves her family of 11 brothers and 3 sisters, and many nieces and nephews. MCKEIGAN, Lawrence - Peacefully in Upland, California on June 22, 2007 in his 77th year, Lawrence McKeigan, beloved husband of Nora Kempt-McKeigan and the late June McKeigan. SHERK, Timothy Joseph Robert - Our hearts are saddened to announce the sudden death on Saturday, June 23, 2007, of Timothy Joseph Robert Sherk, the only child of Fern and the late Joseph (1985) Sherk, of R.R.#2 Cayuga, in his 24th year. Tim was the beloved nephew of Sharon Sherk, Linda and Fraser Burke, Eric and Brenda Moyer, Gale Kitchen and Kris Moyer. Tim will be sadly missed by all his cousins, Naomi Burke, Richard and Nicole Moyer. He was predeceased by his grandparents Hazel and Joseph Sherk and Robert and Ethel Moyer. Tim graduated from Cayuga Secondary School and has worked as an equipment operator and surface blaster at Cayuga Quarries for 5 years. Tim was a member of Sweet's Corners Christian Church.
