OUELLET, Monique (née Jolicoeur) Paisiblement et entourée des siens, le 26 avril 2007, est décédée à l'âge de 77 ans, Monique Jolicoeur, épouse de feu René Ouellet. Elle laisse dans le deuil sa fille Marie-Claude (André Prud'homme), ses petits-enfants Ariane et Emmanuel, ses soeurs Lucie (Roland Côté) et Madeleine (Rolland Fuoco), ses neveux et nièces. Elle laisse de doux souvenirs à ses proches ainsi qu'aux nombreux amis qui ont eu le bonheur de la connaître. La famille accueillera parents et amis le mardi 1er mai de 19h30 à 22h et le mercredi 2 mai à compter de 9h, suivi de la liturgie à 11h, en la chapelle de la Résidence funéraire J.J. Cardinal 2125, Notre-Dame, Lachine Tél.: 514-639-1511 et de là au cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges. Après l'inhumation, les amis sont invités à une rencontre qui se tiendra dans une salle du centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges. DESCHAMPS, Gérald (1929-2007) - C'est avec regret que la famille annonce son décès à l'Hpital Général du Nipissing Ouest, Sturgeon Falls, le vendredi 27 avril 2007 à l'âge de 77 ans. Fils de feu George et de feu Anna (née St-Pierre) Deschamps. Tendre époux de Darquise (née Gougeon) Sturgeon Falls. Père bien-aimé de Michelle (Gaétan Gagnon) Bristol QC, Carole (Philippe Levesque) Mansfield QC, Denise (André Courchesne) Sturgeon Falls, Roch (Teresa Bell) Oshawa, Gilles, Aylmer QC, et Serge (Cheryl-Lynn Hagan) Dartmouth, NE. Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses 15 petits-enfants et six arrière-petits- enfants. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil ses frères et sa soeur : Laurent (Rita Chouinard) Coniston , Marcel (Huguette Landry) Sturgeon Falls, George (Brenda Lawson) Blind River et Liliane Lendrum (feu Harry) Blind River. Gérald a passé la plus grande partie de sa carrière dans l'enseignement à Timmins, Espanola et Blind River. Il fut par la suite directeur aux écoles La Résurrection et Echo-Jeunesse, et a travaillé au sein du Ministère de l'Éducation. A son honneur, il fut reconnu du prix de la personne agée de l'année en 1999 par la communauté. Il a été membre actif de plusieurs comités dont, président de l'Unité Pédagogique des Enseignants de Langue Française, Chevalier de Colomb pendant plus de 50 ans, Club Richelieu pour plus de 40 ans (président et gouverneur de la région Moyen-Nord), membre fondateur et président de la Bibliothèque Municipale de Sturgeon Falls , président et administrateur au conseil d'administration de la Caisse Populaire de Sturgeon Falls pendant 40 ans et membre fondateur du Club Calumet . Parmi ses passe-temps et loisirs, Gérald était participant, entraneur et organisateur d'équipes de baseball, hockey et curling au niveau junior et sénior. Suite à sa retraite il s'intéressa au golf. Il était un grand amateur de parties de cartes. La famille recevra parents et amis au Salon Funéraire Théoret- Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls, le lundi 30 avril de 14h à 16 et de 19h à 21h. La messe funèraire sera célébrée le mardi 1 mai 2007 à 11 h, à l'église La Résurrection, Sturgeon Falls. MISSLEBROOK, Doris Beatrice - Of Charing Cross, passed away on Friday evening after a long illness at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance. She was born in Tilbury North Township in Essex County 62 years ago, the daughter of the late Leo Parent and Della Ladouceur. Doris had worked at Pardo Villa Acres Farm Market as a cook. Beloved wife of 42 years to Ivor Misslebrook and was the dear mother to Cindy and Dave of Chatham; Brian and Lisa of South Buxton, loving grandmother to Tate, Trevor, Adam, Tyler, Kelsey and Brittany. Dear sister to Raymond and Mary Parent, Belle River, Rene and Yvonne Parent, Belle River, Irene Beaulieu, Tilbury, Jean and Leon Regnier, Tilbury, Blanche and Jack Wigfield, Wheatley. Anna Marie Doupe-Pepin January 30, 1932-April 30, 2007 It is with great sadness our family announces the peaceful passing of Anna Marie Pepin at the age of 75 at Niagara General Hospital with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Mary Agnes Cameron Doupe and Sidney Alton Doupe, beloved wife of the late Emin Joseph Pepin, loving mother of Marianne Pepin, Tony Kelly (Dee), Diane Pepin, and Jason Pepin. Cherished Grandmother of Krystina, Chelsea, Anthony, Brittany, Tasha, and RJ. Marie was employed for 35 years by the Kirkland Lake Separate School Board as an elementary school teacher. She was a lifelong member of the Community of Christ Church and served in many capacities including many years with the Native Camp, Youth Camps and Family Reunions where she spent her summers volunteering as camp cook. After her retirement she moved to Niagara Falls where Marie Pepin’s name became synonymous in Canada with service to the homeless and dispossessed. She was honoured over the years for her selfless service to others that came from her heart. In 1996 she was honoured with the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award, in March 1998 for Native American Bridge Building from the Native American Ministries, Community of Christ Church, and she was awarded The Eagle Feather by the First Nations of Canada for her work with native Children. In April 2001 she was made A Paul Harris Fellow of the Foundation of the Rotary International, in May 2000 she received a Certificate of Recognition from the Mayor of Niagara Falls for dedication to residents of the city, in 2000 she received The Good Canadian Citizens Award from the Mayor of Niagara Falls and in the same year St. Paul High School conferred on her The Jubilee Award, given only once every 25 years and at the same time created a Marie Pepin Award to be given annually to a faculty member who lives the Gospel of St. Matthew. Marie has volunteered all of her life to assist those less fortunate and in more recent years worked tirelessly with and for Niagara’s homeless with Out of the Cold. Marie dedicated her life to helping people. All will remember Marie for her selflessness, her generosity and her genuine love for the all people and her determination to help others. Marie will also be remembered for her unconditional love and open arms. Rest well good and faithful servant, you will be missed. SMITH, Joseph Brandon - April 15, 1991- April 27, 2007. Jo-Bo's 16 year battle with Prader Willi Syndrome came to end at Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario but his loving spirit lives on. PAUL, Michael “Mike“ - In loving memory of Michael “Mike“ Paul 57 years. On Friday, April 27th, 2007, Mike began his journey into the spirit world with family by his side at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-Memorial Site. Sadly missed by his beloved wife and best friend Elizabeth (nee Lewis) and daughters Stephanie and Michelle (Sefo). Predeceased by his parents Ivan and Adeline and sisters Betty Jean and Nancy. Fondly remembered by his brothers Cliff, John and Ernie Bob, and sisters Pauline, Squeek and Sadha as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. In healthier days, Mike dedicated much of his time to volunteering in his community, most notably serving as Fire Chief for the M'Chigeeng Fire Department. Mike's involvement was a major contributor to the department's growth over the years. Mike loved to joke and used humour to ease himself and those who loved him. He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand, for family, friends and even strangers. Mike was a family man and everything he did, he did for his wife and children.
