LAROCQUE, Jacques - Est décédé subitement à North Bay le dimanche 29 octobre 2006, à l'âge de 66 ans. Cher père de Stéphane (Caroline) et Gaëtan (Christine) et grand-père de Nicholas et Ariel. Ami bien-aimé de Murielle Hughes et beau-père de Jason Hughes. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses soeurs Françoise (Armand Landry), Julienne Giroux et Nicole (Normand Brière), ses frères Joseph-André (Gilberte Bossé), et Yvon. Prédécédé par ses parents Euclide et Marguerite (née Charbonneau), ses soeurs Marie et Gaëtane, ses frères Fernand, Raymond (feu Cécile St Pierre), Gérard (Jeanne d'Arc Pepin) et Louie-Marie (feu Joyce Knapp et Ange-Aimée Fortin). Jacques était le propriétaire de All Makes Appliance Service depuis 1963. La famille recevra parents et amis à L'ÉTABLISSEMENT FUNÉRAIRES HILLSIDE le vendredi 3 novembre, 2006 de 14h à 17h et de 19h à 21h. La messe funéraire sera célébrée à la paroisse des Sts Anges le samedi 4 novembre, 2006 à 10:00. RENNIE, Edith Winnifred (Manning) - Peacefully at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Sunday, October 29, 2006 in her 90th year. The loving wife of The Reverend Charles Rennie (predeceased 1996) and mother to Bruce and wife Patricia (Caledon), Paul and wife Janice (Sarnia), and Susan Huffman and partner Richard Hicks (Halifax). Loved by 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Sister to Phyllis Reynolds (St. Catharines), Jean Denson (Phoenix, AZ) and Harold Manning (predeceased). Edith lived her life to serve others, starting with her children and family and spent 28 years of church ministry with her husband, Charles. After several years of active retirement at Albright Gardens (Beamsville) Edith was cared for in the home of Janet and Dieter Fiege. The family wish to express a special thank you to Janet and Dieter for sharing their home with their mother and for the excellent care and support that has been given. NAZARETZ, Elsie Lenore - Passed into the presence of her Lord at St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday, October 30, 2006. The late Elsie Nazaretz of St. Catharines at 81 years of age. Predeceased by her first husband Charles Harakus and her second husband Max Nazaretz. Dear mother of Gina Turla (George) of Holland Landing, Violet Bonneville (James) of Carlisle, Michael Harakus (Pat) of Winnipeg, MB and Angela Cegnar (Stane) of Bradenton, FL and step- daughter Lydia Tomlinson (Jim) of Don Mills. Sadly missed by her 11 grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Also remembered by her many wonderful friends from St. Catharines. CANNON, Jane Stephanie (Price) - Passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health - Norman Site, Sarnia on Saturday, October 28, 2006, after a long battle with cancer at 53 years of age. Loving mother on Derrick (Patty Graham) Cannon of Kitchener and Tom Cannon of Bright, Ontario. Survived by her mother Myrtle Price and her loving sister Becky (Eric) McFadden of Bright's Grove. Grandmother of Darren and Jake and aunt of Jay, Nathan, Erica and Carly. Very special friend to Heather Lindsay. Predeceased by her father Tom Price and her brother Henry Price. Jane leaves behind her loyal and faithful pet “Bud“ as well as her colleagues at Price Waterhouse Cooper in St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place with interment at a later date. À l'Hôtel-Dieu de Sorel, le 20 octobre 2006, est décédée à l'âge de 85 ans, Mlle Noëlla Bouchard, fille de feu Noël Bouchard et de feue Annette Vachet, demeurant à Sorel-Tracy. Mlle Noëlla Bouchard laisse dans le deuil ses deux frères, une sœur et quatre belles-sœurs : Guy (Gertrude Grimard), Bruno (Pierrette Michaud), Monique, feu Romuald (Louise Pépin) et feu Claude (Sylvia Caromak); ses filleuls : Alain, Dominique et Guylaine; ses neveux et nièces, ses cousins et cousines, ses parents et amis. Les funérailles ont eu lieu le lundi 23 octobre, à 11 heures, en l'église Saint-Pierre de Sorel, suivies de la crémation. Les cendres seront déposées au columbarium du salon à une date ultérieure. OBITUARYAUDREY BRADSHAW CRAIGHEAD 1923 - 2006 Following a brief illness, Audrey passed away peacefully on October 26 at the age of eighty-three. Born in Sutton, Quebec, Audrey was pre-deceased by her husband Richard Craighead, her parents Penelope Safford and William Bradshaw, her sister Penny Davidson and brothers-in-law, James F. Davidson and Kent Smith. Audrey will be missed dearly by her children Bill (Lyne Kimmell), John and Jane (Jim Cherry), her grandchildren Kate, Julia, Jessica, Jennessa and Michael, sister, Elizabeth Griffiths (Ron), brother, Mac Bradshaw (Lucille), and her nieces and nephews and Kerry Williams. She will also be missed by her many friends, including members of her bridge club and St. James Church, the Canadian Club, and students and colleagues from many years of teaching. With the support of wonderful caregivers, Audrey lived at home with her dog, Casey, and remained actively involved in her community until her recent illness. Audrey had several careers throughout her life including teacher, university lecturer and business woman. She graduated from McDonald College and later completed a BA and MA in Economics at Sir George Williams University. She received the Birks Medal and was named a Woodrow Wilson Graduate Fellow. She taught economics at Sir George and later at Massey Vanier, where she served as Head of the Social Studies Department. Many of her students, including her children, nieces and nephews, cite Audrey as an inspiration. Audrey and her husband Richard complemented each other well in life, family and business. Together, they expanded the family business, F.W. Jones & Son Ltd., which Audrey later ran with her sons following Richard's death. Audrey was an accomplished athlete. As a young woman, she competed in the Quebec tennis circuit winning the Quebec Singles Championship. She was an avid curler and skip on the Provincial Championship team. Audrey also golfed, fished and skied, and taught these sports to her children. In her retirement, Audrey was an active fundraiser. Having survived breast cancer twice, Audrey worked for the Canadian Cancer Society and received an award in recognition of her efforts. She also served on the board of the Levesque-Craighead Foundation, a charity established in memory of her husband and J.O. Levesque, both local businessmen and mayors of Bedford. Audrey also served as President of the local chapter of the Canadian Club. Audrey will best be remembered for her strength of character and for being a modern woman before her time. Definitely a non-conformist but also a wonderful and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Audrey has left a legacy of love and purpose that will be remembered with a smile by all. HICKS, Eileen Margaret (nee Gillett) Passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on October 26, 2006, at the home of her son Bill in Sidney, B.C. Eileen was born in Berwick upon Tweed, England in 1918 and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1927. Eileen spent her younger years in Fort Erie and Ottawa, ON. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Delbert Borden Hicks in 1979 and her four brothers; William, Ernie, Graham, and Stan Gillett. Eileen was survived by her three sons and their spouses; Bill and Doreen Hicks, Rick and Laurie Hicks, Roy and Kimberly Hicks, her 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren and her brother Frank and spouse Dolores. Eileen spent 10 years working for the BC Ferry Corporation as a cashier on the Queen of Esquimalt, retiring in 1980. Her life was full in retirement, singing with several groups on the Saanich Peninsula, playing bridge, bingo and volunteering her time with the Tourist information kiosk located on the Pat Bay Hwy just north of Beacon Ave. Eileen attended Bethel Fellowship Baptist Church in Sidney for 39 years, before being called home to her Lord and Savior. Eileen will sit in rest at the Sands Funeral Chapel (1803 Quadra St. in Victoria BC) for viewing from 9 - 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2006, before interred at the Royal Oak Burial Park. There will be a memorial service at Bethel Fellowship Baptist Church (2269 Mills Rd. Sidney, BC) at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2006. HUNT, Kathleen "Kathy" nee Coe Kathy passed away peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2006 in Arnprior Hospital after a long, courageous and sometimes silent battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Jim; son, Jeffery (Sarah); daughter, Eleanor (Greg) Townley; grandsons, Mason and Cory; sister, Lois (Don) Nichols; several nieces and nephews and many friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Craig and Thelma Coe and sister, Eleanor Armstrong. Kathy will be remembered for her loving and endearing ways, her adventurous spirit, her courage and determination and her ready smile. Kathy's constant optimism and strength touched and inspired her family, friends and all those who knew her. She valued her family, and Whitlock Farm above all else. Kathy was a strong supporter of St. George's Anglican Church, a director of The Fitzroy Historical Society, a member of the Lorne Sutherland Women's Institute and the Arnprior Region Federation of Agriculture. She worked at Agriculture Canada in Ottawa for twenty-one years and also acted as administrator of The West Carleton Seniors Residence for eighteen years. Sincere thanks to the doctors and staff of Renfrew Victoria Hospital and Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, Dr. Powell, Dr. Young, Dr. Boersma, Katherine Willow, Donna Young, Eve Yantha and Ola Armstrong for their help in this long struggle. Not to be forgotten are the many relatives, friends and neighbours who visited, brought food and flowers and stayed with Kathy during this difficult time. SAUERTEIG, CAROLA (OLA) - Carola (Ola) Sauerteig died in Toronto on October 27th 2006 after a long illness. She leaves to mourn her parents Horst and Herta Sauerteig, her brothers and sisters Susanne, Michael, Hannes and Barbara with their families, and her partner Beverley O'Brien. Ola was born in St. John's Nfld. in 1961, moved to Saint John N.B. when she was two years old, and graduated from SJHS in 1979. She has a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Ryerson University, was employed with several Toronto restaurants, then moved to Canada Revenue Agency. Ola has been cremated and her ashes gone home to New Brunswick. A memorial in her honour will be held in January in Toronto. KILCUP, ROY H. After a lengthy illness, the death of Roy Hector Kilcup, in his 92nd year, formerly of Sussex, NB, occurred on Monday, October 30, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was a son of the late Hector and Bessie (King) Kilcup. Roy was a superb baker who worked for many years at the French Pastry in Saint John. After moving to Fredericton, he continued his profession at Brown's Bakery and later at the Goody Shop, from where he retired at the age of seventy-five. Roy had a wry sense of humor. He loved his cats, his stamps and his solitude. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Roy is survived by one brother, Ralph Kilcup of Sussex; four nieces: Brenda Breen of Saint John; Dianne (Douglas) Carlisle of Keswick Ridge; Karen (Danny) Foster of Keswick; Betty Kilcup of Saint John; two nephews: Jack Kilcup of Saint John; Kevin Kilcup of Halifax; several great-nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother, Gerald A. Kilcup and nephew Gerald W. Kilcup. By request there will be no visiting. M. Margaret F. Campbell 1931-2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mary Margaret Frances Campbell, widow of the late George H. Campbell, of North Napan Road, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Monday, October 30, 2006, at the age of 75. Born in Pictou, N.S., on July 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late G. Roy and Annie J. (MacKnight) Atkinson. She was a homemaker and, prior to retirement, was a teacher by profession. She was an active and valued member of the Carmel United Church, Napan; the current Clerk of Session of her church, as well as a member of Session. She was the first female to hold the position of Elder at Carmel United Church. She was a life member of the U.C.W, a member of the New Brunswick Teachers' Assoc., and a member of the Miramichi Area Retired Teachers' Assoc. She is survived by one daughter; Helen Godfrey, of North Napan Road; two grandchildren, Linda Godfrey (Derek) and Darren Godfrey; one great grandchild, Xander Locke; three sisters, Helen MacKenzie (James), of North Napan Road, Shirley Kerr (George), of Brampton, Ont., Elizabeth Grasman (Peter), of Fredericton; one sister-in-law, Mary Atkinson, of Fredericton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George, in 2004; one sister, Jean Atkinson; and one brother, Archibald Atkinson. Muriel E. Pooley 1920 - 2006 Muriel E. Pooley, of Moncton, NB passed away at The Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at the age of 86 years. Born in Moncton, NB on August 27, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Ernest E. and Anita B. (Boutlier) Mollins. Muriel's life was a testimony of strong faith in the Lord, she attended The Grace Baptist Church; she loved knitting, crocheting, painting scenery, cooking and preparing meals for family functions; she also had a great love for her cats. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Left with fond memories are her daughters, Susan Pooley with whom she resided; and Barbara Ann Sharpe of Riverview; sons, C. Douglas (Sandra) Pooley of Hartland and Brian (Adele) Pooley of Riverview; daughter-in-law, Gail (Doug) Murphy of Moncton; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. BAILEY, GORDON WENDELL Gordon Wendell Bailey of Ripples, NB, husband of Mary (Gormley) Bailey, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was 79 years old. Born in Fredericton he was the son of the late Arthur Bailey and Winnifred (Leonard) Bailey. Gordon worked in the lumber industry with his family and later joined the Navy during WWII. After completing his service career he was employed with Acadia Forestry, then DND as a civil servant as a painter, retiring in 1986. Gordon continued with sign painting during his retirement, he was also able to find time for golfing, fishing and hunting. Gordon was a long time member of the Minto Legion Branch No. 12 and a member of the St. Mary's Anglican Church. Besides his wife he is survived by on daughter, Linda Tibbitts of Ripples and his son Gordon (Yvette) Bailey of Minto, 5 grandchildren (Greg, Jason, Emily, Sarah, and Samuel), Sisters Nancy Bailey of Ottawa, Shirley (William) Goodfellow of Manotick, Beverly (Harold) Cockburn of Hamilton and several nieces, nephews and cousins. BREAU, ALONZO RAYMOND - Alonzo Raymond Breau of Bocabec, NB passed quietly away at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on October 29, 2006, just eight days shy of his 84th birthday. Born in Campbellton, NB on November 6, 1922, he was a son of the late Aamie and Louise (Gerard) Breau. He is survived by his loving companion; Ceclia Czaplinski of Bocabec, one son; Allan of Montreal PQ and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Irene Breau. Alonzo was born in Campbellton, but spent most of his adult life in Montreal, returning to his favourite place, New Brunswick, after retirement. During WWII he was with the North Shore Regiment which made a first regiment landing on D-Day and he served with the forces in France until armistice. In his later years, Alonzo enjoyed fishing and the craft of woodworking. A memorial service will be held at the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 with Father John Ighacho officiating. Né à Vaudreuil le 4 septembre 1923, il était le fils de Henry Reid et de Lillian Hawes. Il a fait ses études secondaires au Collège Bourget de Rigaud et ses études théologiques au Grand Séminaire des Missions-Étrangères de Pont-Viau. Ordonné prêtre le 2 juillet 1949, il partait le 18 septembre 1950 pour les Philippines, où il travailla jusqu'en 1971. Au Canada, il exerça son ministère dans les régions de Vaudreuil, St-Jérôme et de Montréal. Il laisse dans le deuil, outre ses confrères missionnaires, ses soeurs Rita et son époux Gaston Dugas, Claire et son époux Jean-Guy Dugas, Barbara et Évelyn, ses frères John-M, Cyril, William, Conrad et son épouse Jacqueline, Laurent et son épouse Thérèse et ses belles-soeurs Gisèle Boucher et Ginette Leduc ainsi que des neveux et nièces et de nombreux autres parents et amis. Il sera exposé à la Maison centrale de la Société des Missions-Étrangères, le mercredi 1er novembre de 14 h à 21 h, et jeudi à partir de 12 h 30. Une célébration de prières aura lieu le mercredi soir à 19 h 30. Les funérailles seront célébrées le jeudi 2 novembre 2006 à 14 h dans la chapelle de la Maison centrale de la Société des Missions-Étrangères, située au 180, place Juge-Desnoyers, Laval, suivies de l'inhumation.
