Edmond P. Cormier, Aerospace Design Engineer and Local Folk Musician Edmond P. Cormier, a Senior Design Specialist at the former General Dynamics Convair Space Division, and a highly regarded San Diego Folk musician, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, after complications related to recent surgery. Mr. Cormier was a unique figure in the San Diego Folk Music Community. He was the past president of the San Diego Folk Song Society and founding member of the Continental Drifters String Band. Mr. Cormier also originated the Folk Mass at his parish church, Blessed Sacrament, in the early 1970s. For many years he led outdoor jams at the SDFH's Sam Hinton Folk Festival. Not only was he a gifted musician, but he was involved with social justice concerns for the disempowered and underprivileged. He served as a president of the Cardijn Center in Old Town, and on the board of directors for the Wesley Terrace Sr. Facility. Past president of the San Diego MG auto club registry, and member of the Blessed Sacrament Church vocal choir, Mr. Cormier had many interests such as music composing, art design, and book publishing. Mr. Cormier was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, October 14, 1930. He was the only child of Helena and Raymond Cormier. At an early age he discovered his love of art, and studied art at a local art museum. He attended St. John's High School, and later Villanova University where he received a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for several Defense Contractors before being recruited by General Dynamics as a Design packaging specialist for Space Systems in San Diego. He was devoted to his wife, Mary, and his children: Mary Ann, Joan, Tony, and Eddie. His family was especially precious to him, because he was an only child. Mr. Cormier's four grandchildren brought him great delight, and he recently recorded and produced CD music of children's folk songs for them. Mr. Cormier was also the great grandfather of two. Services for Mr. Cormier will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church at 4540 El Cerrito Drive (El Cajon Boulevard between 56th and 58th) in San Diego on Thursday, December 29th, at 10:00 AM. LOWELL -- Florence (Drouin) Tookmanian, 81, a resident for many years of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, who was a retired mail clerk, died Thursday morning, Dec. 22, at Lowell General Hospital, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Thomas Tookmanian, who died in 1988.She was born in Lowell, Nov. 23, 1924, daughter of the late Eugene and Yvonne (Tremblay) Drouin. She attended St. Jeanne D'Arc School and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1943. She went on to attend Lowell Commercial College.She was a former parishioner of St. Jeanne D'Arc Church in Lowell.Before retiring, Mrs. Tookmanian was a mail clerk for Apollo Computer Co. Previously, she worked as a security guard at the former Wang Laboratories.Mrs. Tookmanian was an auxiliary member of the Disabled American Veterans.She is survived by two sisters, Sister Lucille Drouin Grey S.C.O. and Doris Drouin of Lowell; many nieces and nephews including, Mark Bukala of Hudson, N.H.; and two sisters-in-laws Mary Maradian and Helen Thompson, residing in Connecticut.She was also the sister of the late Gabrielle Beauchesne, Sister Pauline Drouin S.C.O. and Yvette Bukala. BIDDEFORD -- Eudore PeeWee Dube, 77, of Biddeford died peacefully at his home following a brief illness on Dec. 23, 2005. He was born Feb. 10, 1928, a son of Joseph and Elizabeth Chasse Dube. Mr. Dube had worked for R.L. Petit Co. for 20 years and for School Administrative District 57. He was predeceased by his first wife, Madeline Gauthier Dube in 1997, and a son, Roland Dube in 1993. Surviving are his wife Priscilla Mercier Jalbert Dube, whom he married July 2, 2004; two sons Lawrence Dube and his wife Mary Ann of Wells, and Robert Dube and his wife Collette of Mechanics Falls; a daughter Theresa Stevens and her husband Clarence of Portland; five brothers; twp sisters; three step-children; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., on Tuesday, at Hope Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christain Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Wednesday at St. Andre's Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford.

SPETRINO Gail C. (Ouellette) Spetrino, age 68, of Voluntown, died on Thursday, December 22, 2005, at the Haven Health Center in Norwich. She was the widow of Charlie (Carl) Spetrino. Born in New York to the late Adrien and Dorothea Gearity, she had been a Bridgeport resident for most of her life prior to moving to Voluntown 20 years ago. She loved gardening and collecting angels. She is survived by her son, Terrance Ouellette of Florida; her step-mother, Ria Ouellette of Maryland; five sisters, Patricia Carley and her husband, Seth, of Trumbull, Carol Cataudella of Huntington, Mary Falcone of Milford, Jean Ricciardi of Florida and Ilona Torres of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Monday, December 26, 2005 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Charlotte Ann Hebert, age 65 of Schertz, passed away December 21, 2005. She was born to Calvin Walter and Alice Marie (Richard) Hebert on August 9, 1940 in Port Arthur, Texas. Ms. Hebert retired in August 1993 with 35 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Civil Service at the USAF Brooks for Aerospace Medicine and Armstrong Laboratory at Brooks AFB, Texas. Survivors include her cousins, Elaine Jones and husband, Andrew "Jack", Beverly Robinson and June Goode, all of Baton Rouge, LA; Juanita McCabe and Danny McCabe of Kenner, LA, Ramon Garcia and Phil Richards of Covington, LA. Roy Cochenic and the Clifton Richard family of Raceland, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9 PM (with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM) on Tuesday, December 27, 2005. A Mass will be Celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 28 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Emmett Carolan as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. DANGUILLECOURT, JACQUELINE KRIZ, beloved daughter of Fred & Donna Kriz, sister of Jennifer, Mark, Kim, and Jim Kriz, was born September 21, 1978 in Los Angeles, CA. Jacqueline, better known as Jackie, had a glorious childhood. She excelled in music and athletics and was a gifted artist. Among the many talents she had, she was a brilliant sculptor and painter. Jackie received her bachelors degree from Denver University in communication and art. Anyone who met Jackie knew that she was a great light. Jackie was the most beautiful, loving person who saw great beauty in the world and made the world more beautiful by her presence in it. She had a radiant smile and shared it with everyone. She had no pretensions, saw the best in everybody, and inspired people to achieve the most they could be. Jackie was kind, generous, gracious and compassionate. Her quick wit and joyous nature enhanced the lives of everyone who knew her. When Jackie met her beloved Sergio Danguillecourt, they fell in love almost immediately and found happiness in each other that they had never felt before. They were married in a beach ceremony in the Exumas at sunset on New Year's Eve 2004. They had a blissful marriage, were deeply in love, and in each other, found great peace. On December 19, 2005, less than a year before their first wedding anniversary and three years into knowing each other, they left this earth tragically in a plane accident off Miami Beach. COLONIE, NY -- Rowena Chludzinski, 87, of Colonie, died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at home. Mrs. Chludzinski was born on August 6, 1918 in West Chazy, N.Y. and was raised on Isle LaMotte, Vt., one of the Champlain Islands and site of St. Anne's Shrine. She was the daughter of the late Winnie and Irene (Ducharme) LaBombard. She worked as a registered nurse at Albany Medical Center Hospital and then was a stay-at-home mom, taking care of any and all family members and friends in need. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church. Mrs. Chludzinski is the proud mother of Mary (Micki) McGrath (Jack) of Cohasset, Mass., Matthew Chludzinski (Cathy) of Poway, Calif. and Bernice Doring (Thomas) of Colonie; sister of Ellsworth, Eleanor and Llewellyn; beloved grandmother of Kenneth McGrath, Jessica, Katrina and Thomas Chludzinski, Thomas, Amie, Erin, Kelsy and Caitlin Doring; great-grandmother of Laurel McGrath and Ryan Doring; also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Matthew Chludzinski. WESTBROOK - Edgar M. Landry, 83, of New Gorham Road, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005. A life-long resident of Westbrook, he was born here, the son of Joseph and Eva Pinette Landry. Edgar worked at the S.D. Warren Paper Co. for 42 years before retiring. Edgar served in the U.S. Army under General Patten during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Post #62, a charter member of the Civilian conservation Corps, and a fourth degree and past commander of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Madelyn Parker Landry; four sons, Raymond of Orlando, Fla., David of Debary, Fla., Jason of Yarmouth, and Roger of Rochester, N.H.; two daughters, Carol Landry Perham and Mary Ann Celeste of Westbrook; a brother Louis Landry of East Boothbay; two sisters, Edna Cressey of Englewood, Fla., and Muriel Audet of Westbrook; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Leslie Remi Lavergne, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Port Allen, died on Friday morning, Dec. 23, 2005, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. He was 80, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the retired director of financial aid and scholarships for LSU for 24 years. Visiting at Ollie Steele Burden Manor on Tuesday, Dec. 27, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 11:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jeff Lefebvre. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Mike Portwood of Lancaster, Penn., and Susan and Charles "Chuck" Rigdon Jr. of Lawrence, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Carmen Lavergne of Baton Rouge; and five grandchildren, Phillip Portwood, Jeana Rose Rigdon, Caroline Rigdon, Wesley Rigdon and Hayes Lavergne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Remi and Eliska Hurst Lavergne; and his wife, Barbara Jean Dupont Lavergne. He was a graduate of Port Allen High School and LSU. He was a teacher at Baton Rouge High School and Melville High School and was the first general manager and treasurer of Baton Rouge Teachers Federal Credit Union. He served as a member of the Louisiana Student Financial Assistance Commission and Louisiana Tuition Trust Authority. He was a student loan marketing representative for USA Funds and Bank One. He was past president of the Louisiana Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, financial director at St. Joseph's Seminary College and was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Albert C. Monty -- April 3, 1921 - December 23, 2005 -- CENTRAL VILLAGE- Albert Charles Monty, 84, of 77 Cady Lane, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Plainfield April 3, 1921, son of the late Charles E. and Phoebe (Vernault) Monty. He was married for sixtyone years to his loving wife, Dorothy (Rakuza) Monty, who survives him. He was employed by Hamilton Standard in Taftville, Porski Screen Printing of Plainfield, InterRoyal and Pervel Industries in Plainfield, from which he retired. He was a communicant of All Hallows Church in Moosup. He enjoyed countless hours of bowling in his younger years, card playing and enjoying time with his family and friends. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Albert Monty Jr. of Moosup and William J. Monty of Woodstock; two daughters, Carol Simonds of Ormand Beach, FL and Deborah Brine of Plainfield; one brother, Joseph Monty of Moosup and one sister, Jeanette Thibeault of Plainfield, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Blanche Chartier. The family would like to sincerely thank Hospice of Northeastern CT, Dr. Walsh of Day Kimball Hospital and Dr. Friedman of William W. Lemieux, Lois (O'Dell) 76, she has joined her beloved husband, James T. Lemieux (1984). Preceded in death by sister- in-law, Audrey Andresen (Harry) and brother-in-law, John Lemieux (Audrey). Loving mother to Joni Lemieux (Kevin Campbell) and Janet Kiley; caring grandma to Whitney and Christopher Kiley, and James Campbell. ADAMS -- Adella Gamache, 79, of 28 Valley St., died Friday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Adams on Nov. 9, 1926, daughter of Andrew and Katarzyna Bryda Rogowski, she attended local schools, including St. Stanislaus School. Mrs. Gamache was a secretary for many years in the family business, Greylock Ice and Fuel Co. She retired in 1990. Prior to that she worked the former New England Telephone Co. as a switchboard operator, and for the former Cornish Wire Co., Williamstown. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church. She was a member of Adams Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing cards. She and her husband, Donald L. Gamache, were married Oct. 14, 1950. He died May 25, 1990. She leaves a daughter, Barbara Bushey of Williamstown; two sons, Donald L. "Sonny" Gamache Jr. and Richard Gamache, both of Adams; two sisters, Daisy Rogowski and Stacia Wilczek, both of Adams, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. SPARTA - Sheryl L. St. Martin passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at the Morrow Memorial Home in Sparta after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 37 years, 11 months, and 26 days. She was born on December 11, 1967, in Racine, to Francis and Betty (nee: Christianson) St. Martin. She grew up in Racine and moved to Sparta in 1988. She married Robie Frisk in 1992. She was a member of the Sparta Jaycees for a number of years and volunteered as Santa's Elf during Toys For Tots. She loved her three children, Josie, Jamie, and Ezra. She is survived by her two children, Josie Myhre of Sparta and Jamie Frisk of Auburn, Maine; her mother, Betty St. Martin of Racine; four brothers, Gary St. Martin of Green Bay, Gregory (Linda) St. Martin of Racine, Gordon St. Martin of Kenosha, and James (Rebecca) St. Martin of Racine; a sister, Laurel (David) Bohn of Franksville; her fianc‚, Darren Otto of Sparta; extended family, Phyllis (David) Frisk of Sparta, Michele Frisk and children and children of Sparta, Bill (Carrie) Frisk of Holmen, and Matthew Frisk of La Crosse; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Francis; and her son, Ezra. A Celebration of Sheryl's Life was held on Sunday, December 11, 2005, in Sparta with Rev. Clyde Ewers officiating. The daughter of Philibert and Diana (Massicotte) Tourville, she was born September 28, 1925, in Timmons, Ontario, Canada. She became a U.S. citizen after her marriage to William Oliver in Jackson, MI. He preceded her in death in 1990. She was a long time resident of Jackson, MI, where she raised all her children. She was a loving mother who made her family her whole life. She leaves behind a daughter, Roxann (Jose') Evans of Temperance, MI; a son, Ricky (Darlene) Oliver of Jackson, MI; a son-in-law, Ralph Moorehead of Jackson, MI; three sisters, Noella, Estelle and Geanne; and a brother, Ray, all of Canada, a brother, Ron, of Grass Lake, MI; six grandchildren, Christine (Michael) "Evans" Dussia, Amy (Steve) "Moorehead" Stahl, Michelle (Paul) "Evans" Ceravolo, Patricia Evans, Rick Oliver, Neal Moorehead; and 10 great-grandchildren whom she loved and cherished dearly. Margaret F. "Margie" Patnaude, 86, of Bloomfield, a devoted mother and grandmother, died Saturday, (December 24, 2005). She was the beloved wife of the late Henry R. Patnaude and the daughter of the late John L. and Mary (Dioria) Yannette. She lived all her life in Bloomfield. She was on the yearbook council of her graduating class. In 1964 Margaret completed a Confraternity of Christian Doctrine Archdiocese of Hartford for Elementary School of Religion Teachers. She taught the boys communion class at Christ the King Church of Bloomfield. Margaret held various offices in the Rosary Society at Christ the King and also held various offices of the Columbiettes, Supreme Council. She leaves her daughter, Gail Frascatore; her son, John Patnaude; and two grandsons, Gregory M. Frascatore and Adam J. Patnaude. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield. Burial will follow at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. BELL, ROBERT M. - The death of Robert (Bob) Miller Bell of Saint John, husband of A. Florence (MacLaren) Bell, occurred on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late T. Moffett and Edith (Miller) Bell. Robert was employed with Franklin Enterprises, Lord Nelson Hotel and the Rocca Group as a chartered accountant. He served in World War II with the RCAF 435 Squadron in India and Burma, was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 69, NB Law Foundation and treasurer of the 26th Battalion Overseas Association. Besides his wife, he is survived by daughter Jane Bell of Saint John; brother Larry (Lynn) Bell of Saint John; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother Tom Bell. By request there will be no visiting or funeral service. Interment will take place in St. Andrews Rural Cemetery at a later date. Lucienne Jeannine Bonneteau (née Langelier) April 10, 1939 - December 22, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Desjardins Funeral Chapel Surrounded by her loving family, it is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lucienne Bonneteau at the Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, December 22, 2005. Lucienne was predeceased by her father Napoleon in 1981 and her son Ronald on May 17, 1963 who she went into hospital to deliver on December 22, 1962. Lucienne is survived by her husband Armand, her mother Marianne, her children Lea (Don), Jeannette (Chris), Monique (Mark), Gisele (Dave) and Gerald (Rena), and 13 grandchildren, Keith, Ryan, Kelly, Mandy, Darren, Jason, Christine, Mike, Kevin, Justin, Jeffrey, Ian and Jennifer. Lucienne was a wonderful person who always thought about others before herself. She enjoyed gardening, painting, knitting, fishing, camping, boating, cooking and looking after her family. Over the years, she worked alongside her husband Armand, at work, in the home and in the garden where her green thumb worked wonders. She also worked hard as a nurse's aide at St. Anne’s Hospital and as a housekeeper for the St. Vital School Board. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed. As a final gift to help others in need, Lucienne was a tissue donor. We will all miss her.
