Béatrice Thériault (1908-2005) l'Acadie Nouvelle - 23 décembre 2005 GRANDE-ANSE - À la Villa Beauséjour de Caraquet, le jeudi 22 décembre 2005, à l’âge de 97 ans, est décédée Béatrice Thériault, épouse de feu Léo Thériault, domiciliée autrefois à Grande-Anse. Elle était fille de feu André Godin et de feu Hélène Haché. Elle laisse dans le deuil six fils: Yvon (Sadie Cormier), Gérald (Laurette Dugas), Claude, Jean (Euphrésine Cormier) et Alfred (Juliette Boudreau), tous de Grande-Anse et Donald d’Inkerman; six filles: Thérèse (André Campeau) de Laval, Isabelle (Conrad Plouff) de Longueuil, Hélène (Charles Ruddock) de l’Alberta, Elizabeth de Grande-Anse, Anna (Gérald Saindon) de Paquetville et Laura (Paul Losier) de Beresford, ainsi que 44 petits-enfants, 61 arrière-petits-enfants et trois arrière-arrière-petits-enfants. Deux filles: Jeanne et Anna (bébé), l’ont précédée dans la tombe. Mme Thériault était la dernière personne vivante de sa famille immédiate. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 19h, le vendredi 23 décembre, au salon LeGresley de Grande-Anse. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Simon et Saint-Jude de Grande-Anse, le samedi 24 décembre, à 10h30. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial, au printemps. Heures de visites: le vendredi 23 décembre, de 19h à 21h et le samedi 24 décembre, de 9h à 10h30. À la demande de la famille, un don au cimetière de Grande-Anse serait apprécié. La direction des funérailles a été confiée aux soins professionnels de la Maison funéraire LeGresley de Grande-Anse.

GOLDWIN, Terry - While surrounded by his loving family, Terry passed away after a lengthy illness in his 63rd year, on Wednesday, December 21st, 2005, at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Terry was a principal/teacher for 30 years with the Lincoln County Separate School Board, former president of the Lincoln O.E.C.T.A. unit and the C.Y.O. Minor Hockey Association. He was also a past president and life time member of the St. Catharines Junior B Falcons Hockey Club. Terry spent his retirement continuing his involvement within the elementary school system. He was a member of the “Old Farts Club“ and alway a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Beloved husband for 39 years of Pat (Gauthier) and father of Jimmy (Lisa), Michael, Samantha and Sarah. Grandpa G will also be missed by granddaughters Brittany, Alyssa and Tymara. Predeceased by his precious granddaughter Violet (2002), parents Walter and Thelma and brother Tim. Margaret "Margy" Mary Seitz (née Riffel) December 20, 1954 - December 23, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Regina Funeral Home SEITZ, Margaret Mary (nee Riffel), beloved daughter of John and Regina Riffel was born on December 20, 1954 and passed away on December 23, 2005 at the age of 51 years. Margy was predeceased by her parents, John in 2005 and Regina in 1975 and her brother Gerard in 1985. Margy was a wonderful, devoted Mother to her children, Jordan, Magda and Nicole Lichowit-Sinyard (Rob) and her grandson Jackson. She cherished them above all else in her life. She will be dearly missed by her children; her brothers, Tony (Anita), Tom (Linda), Jim (Lena) and Philip; her sisters Virginia, Susan Klein, Marylou (Keith) Clauson and Lorna. Margy also left to mourn many nieces and nephews. She was Godmother to three, Katrina, Rob and Regina Otillia. Margy was a professional teacher, a hairdresser and an accomplished artist. She loved to create, be it through sculpture, painting and needlework. An often-repeated theme of her art was angels on earth and in heaven. She had a great zest for life, nature and family. Her most cherished times were those she shared with her children at the cottage at B-Say-Tah. Flowers gratefully declined. PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Mr. Richard L. Brazeau, 65, of Jason St., died Wednesday evening, December 21, 2005 at home. Born in Pittsfield on May 31, 1940, he was the son of Lionel and Muriel Boudreau Brazeau. He was a lifelong resident of Pittsfield, a 1958 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a 1960 graduate of Bentley College. Mr. Brazeau was currently vice president and chief financial officer for Standard Manufacturing Co./Sportsmaster of Troy, N.Y. He was the former owner of the Lenox Package Store. He was formerly employed by Burton Enterprises of Cobleskill, N.Y., Holland Company and Berkshire Frosted Foods. For many years, he enjoyed coaching boys' basketball at the Pittsfield Boys and Girls Club and the Catholic Youth Center. He played on and sponsored the Lenox Package Store Men's Softball Team and also sponsored the women's softball team. He was an avid fan of the St. Joseph High School Boys' Basketball team. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. He leaves his wife of 41 years, the former Eleanor Collins; four sons, Roy A. Gosselin of Suffield, Conn., John B. Gosselin of Pittsfield, Richard C. Brazeau of San Carlos, Calif. and Daniel J. Brazeau of Boston; a daughter, Ann Marie Sadlowski of Pittsfield; a brother, Mark Brazeau of Dalton; loving father-in-law of Donna, Juliana and Alexandra; six grandchildren; niece and nephew; sister-in-law, Linda. He was predeceased by a brother, Russell Brazeau. Funeral services will be tomorrow, Saturday, December 24 at 9:00 a.m. from the Dwyer Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by Rev. James K. FALMOUTH - Elizabeth B. Daignault, 90, died Tuesday at Falmouth Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alexander Troup Daignault. They were married for 54 years. After graduating from high school Mrs. Daignault worked for 12 years as a legal secretary for the law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart in Boston, leaving the firm in 1944 in order to be married, and joining her husband in Washington, D.C. When she was in her 30s she suffered from tuberculosis, and after her illness she dedicated herself to hospital service as a volunteer. When she and her husband moved to New York City she volunteered at New York Hospital, where she soon became head of volunteers and then a life overseer at the hospital. In the 1980s she moved to Quissett after summering there for many years. She was a member of Quamquissett Beach Club, Woods Hole Golf Club and Quissett Yacht Club. She served on the board of directors for the Visiting Nurse Association of Cape Cod. Survivors include a son, Alexander ''Sandy'' T. Daignault of Baldwin, Md.; a daughter, Anne D. Hartman of Truro; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandson. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 2 at Church of the Messiah, Woods Hole. CHICOPEE - Rita (Danis) Roy, 80, of Chicopee, was safely called home on Thursday, December 22 at her home, with her loving children at her side. A native of Chicopee, she was born on October 9, 1925, the daughter of the late Oliver and Amanda (Fountain) Danis, and had been raised in Southampton. She came to live in Chicopee 60 years ago and was a communicant of Holy Name Church. A resident of the McKinley House in Chicopee for the past 18 years, Rita was very active in community affairs at the residence and was the recipient of the Presidents Volunteer Service Award for her work with the other residents. Employed by the Chicopee Public School System, she served as a cafeteria worker for more than 20 years before retiring in 1989. She was the wife of the late Roland W. Roy who died in 1984. Rita is survived by her children, James R. Roy and his wife Paula of Feeding Hills, Beverly Mueller and her husband Mark of Belchertown, and Cynthia Cienciwa and her husband Frederick of Palmer; a sister, Laurette Kendra of Chicopee. Her retirement afforded her the opportunity to spend much time with her 10 grandchildren, Bryan, Jenna and Elise Roy, Tim, Alison, Katie and Andrew Cienciwa, and Bill, Heidi and Matthew Mueller, and her great-grandson Hunter Cienciwa, all of whom were a great source of pride and joy and whom she loved dearly. The funeral will be held on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee followed by a Mass in Holy Name Church at 10. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Thomas C. Naquin, 78, of 3229 East Lake Drive, North Elkhart, Indiana, and Naples, Florida, died at 4:19 A.M. December 20, 2005 at his residence. He was born September 1, 1927 in St. Louis, MO to Thaddeus and Willye (Decker) Naquin. He married Mary E. Weiler October 7, 1950 in Pueblo, CO, and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Jeannelle (Brian) Brady, and Liz (Tom) Borger, one son Thad (Rachelle) Naquin, all of Elkhart, and nine grandchildren. Mr. Naquin was the retired chairman of the board of Tom Naquin Chevrolet, Cadillac, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Suzuki, Inc. in Elkhart, Indiana. 1950 graduate of the University of Colorado where he was a member of Chi Psi Fraternity, member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, served on the board of directors of Elcona Country Club, Rotary Club, and Better Business Bureau, received the National Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, and the Distinguished Citizens Award from the LaSalle Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Funeral services will be held Thursday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Elkhart, burial in the Naquin Mausoleum in Rice Cemetery. He was a 1936 graduate of Dutchtown High School, a World War II combat veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of American Legion Post 81, a former Boy Scout leader and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. BELMONT — Raymond J. LaRouche, 57, of 5 Village Apartments, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at his home.He was born July 27, 1948 in Malden, Mass., the son of Paul E. and Beatrice M. (Bellavance) LaRouche. He lived in the Saugus/Chelsea, Mass., area until three years ago, and was a graduate of Saugus High.He served in the Navy and was a member of the Moose Club and American Legion in Saugus. He was employed at Sterling Machine Co. Inc., in Lynn, Mass. for many years as a tool and die maker.He was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish, Belmont. NORTHBRIDGE— Eva Marie (Lavoie) Lambert, 92, formerly of 63 School Street, died Thursday, December 22, in the Saint Camillus Health Center. Her husband, William E. Lambert, died in 1986. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Barrows and her husband, Ralph, of Whitinsville; four grandchildren, Suzette Barrows, in Malaysia; Ralph Barrows and his wife, Betty, of Whitinsville; Kristine Froment and her husband, David, of Whitinsville; Peter Barrows and his wife, Linda, of Linwood, and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Lambert was born February 16, 1913, in Fall River, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Ruest) Lavoie, and lived there until moving to Danielson, CT. in 1962, and to Northbridge in 1986. She attended Fall River schools. Mrs. Lambert was an assembler at Idlewild Farms in Pomfret, CT for many years. She attended St. Peter's Church in Northbridge, and was an active member of the Northbridge Senior Center. She was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Celtics. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, December 27, in St. Peter's Church, Church Avenue, Northbridge. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Whitinsville. TROY, NY -- Mary A. Maloney Daigneault, 101, died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the Eddy Heritage House Nursing Home. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late William H. Maloney and Agnes Blair Maloney and wife of the late Lawrence V. Daigneault who died in 1965. A Troy resident for many years, she later resided in Waterford and Green Island. She was a homemaker most of her life and a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Troy. Survivors include two daughters, Mildred M. Stopera of Schenectady and Emily A. Poppel (Harvey) of San Francisco, Calif. and Fla.; a son, Robert F. Daigneault of Green Island; 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Daigneault was predeceased by her two sons, William H. Daigneault and Edward Daigneault; five brothers, William, John, Vincent, James and Edward Maloney; and two sisters, Anna Mae Maloney and Emily Eagan. MEDWAY - Margaret M. Savoie, 83, of Medway, formerly of Sanford, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, lovingly cared for by her daughter, Cyndy, and son-in-law, Roger. Margaret was born in Sanford on March 28, 1922, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Cote Martel. She attended Sanford schools, worked at Jagger Mill, and retired from Sprague Electric in Sanford. Margaret loved spending time with her family, especially going out to dinner or getting an ice cream cone. She also looked forward to completing the New York Times crossword puzzle each day. Margaret enjoyed puzzles of any kind, quilting, sewing, and other handcrafts. Margaret's husband Joseph Roland Savoie and sister Dorothy Boisvert predeceased Margaret. Surviving Margaret are her daughters, Cyndy Burgess and her husband Roger of Medway, and Charlene St.Amand and her husband Roger of Ocala, Fla.; brothers, George Martel of South Portland, Adrien Martel of Sanford, and Joseph Paul Martel of Salem, Mass.; sister, Irene Johnson of Worcester, Mass.; grandsons, Alan Burgess and his wife Ann, Nick Burgess and his wife Laurel, Timothy St.Amand and his wife Paula, and Thomas St.Amand; and great-grandchildren, Emily Burgess, Alexander Burgess, Broudy Atkiss, and Aiden Burgess. Out of respect for Margaret's wishes, services will be private. There will be a public spring interment in St.Ignatius cemetery in 2006.

Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on December 21, 1924, the son of the late Ernest and Julia Prevo and was a resident of the Flint area all of his life. Bob graduated from the former Flint Tech, Class of 1942. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Bob was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church. Bob retired as an Electrical Engineer with Consumers Power Company after 40 years of service. Surviving are daughters, Barbara J. Prevo-Billings of Bay City, Beverly J. Brewer of Pigeon Forge, TN; grandchildren; his namesake, Bobbi Jo and husband Joe Lucas, Amy E. Fish and fiancé Joshua Cardinal, Robert J. Wells and Brielle C. Prevo; 3 great-grandchildren, Logan J. and Mitchell B. Lucas, McKenzie Shivley; sister, Helen Shustock; brother, Lawrence and wife Pat Prevo; many nieces and nephews. She had also worked at Fitchburg Gas & Electric Co. and most recently worked part-time at Bickford’s Family Restaurant in Leominster. Mrs. Carey was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Leominster. She is survived by two sons, Gilbert L. Roy and his wife, Joanne Roy, of Sebring, Fl. and William F. Roy of Wareham; three grandchildren, Jennifer A. Roy of Bradenton, Fl., Joelle C. Cilley of Hancock, N.H., and Maggie J. Roy of Wareham; and three great grandchildren. Her husband, Howard D. Vivian Porto (née Spallacci) March 18, 1962 - December 22, 2005 It is with immense sadness that the Porto and Spallacci family announce the sudden loss of Vivian, 43, Francesco ,l3, and Azzadine, l0,as a result of a tragic car accident in icy conditions while returning home from a hockey game. Unfortunately also perished in the accident is their niece and cousin, Emily Porto. Vivian graduated with her B. A. in Humanities at McMaster University and had her teaching certificate from Brock University. After a short stint in teaching and some part time work in real estate Vivian went on to establish her business with her sister Diane at Ottawa Gift Centre and continued to build the family business at Discount Fabric Mart. Vivian was a special human being, beautiful outside and in, with a caring and sensitive nature; always ready to assist in any situation and to put others above herself. She had a fun loving, positive spirit and adventurous side and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and supportive wife and a dedicated mother, extremely devoted to her children and encouraged them to do their best with her outmost support. She was a passionate hockey mom, constantly attending all her children's games and extremely committed to Francesco and the pursuit of his dream. Her vitality, strength and generosity will truly be missed. Francesco was a bright, accomplished grade 8 student at Hillfield Strathallan College with an affinity for math. He was a talented athlete playing strong defensively in triple A hockey with the Hamilton Junior Bulldogs. He also played soccer at school and at Glanbrook. He was always smiling and ready to help. He made his parents proud on a daily basis in a humble manner. Azzadine had a quiet unassuming strength that helped her to survive as the youngest with three older brothers. A Grade 5 Student at Hillfield Strathallan College, she was caring, kind and cheerful and loved spending time with her cousins and friends. She was creative and artistic but at the same time a powerhouse on the ice and on the soccer fields playing house league hockey and soccer in Glanbrook. The spitting image of her mother she also had her easy going nature and generous heart. Left behind is their devoted husband and father, Sam and their loving children and brothers Riccardo and Amadeo. Also grieving are parents and grandparents, Anna and Adriano Spallacci, Mother in law and grandmother Elena Porto and predeceased grandfather Riccardo Porto. Siblings, aunts and uncles, Diane and Louis Scattolon, Frank and Luisa Spallacci, Rudi and Anna Spallacci, and Loren and Sandra Spallacci, and sisters and brothers in law and aunts and uncles Emilia and Leo Cascioli and Rocco and Laurie Porto. Aito will be remembered as an honest & hardworking individual who had a wonderful sense of humour. He had a great affinity for music. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. RISSLING, Ned Peacefully at the London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus, London, Ontario with his family by his side, on Thursday, December 22, 2005, Ned Rissling of London and formerly of Sudbury in his 90th year. Mr. Rissling moved to Sudbury in 1942 to seek employment. He worked several jobs including INCO and Palm Dairies until he found his niche in the furniture business. He worked and managed several businesses until he owned and operated his own furniture store. He enjoyed watching "the ponies" at Sudbury Downs and owned a few horses. Ned served in the Canadian Air Force from 1943 to 1946. He loved to travel and enjoyed many countries of the world. Mr. Rissling moved to London 27 years ago. A lover of music, Ned enjoyed playing the piano, accordion and the organ. Ned would relish and delight in the joy of his large family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who called him "Poppa Bear". Born in Francis, Saskatchewan to German immigrant parents, the late Franz Rissling and Caroline Rink. Beloved husband for 64 years of Doreen (Lloyd) Rissling. WAYLAND, Mich. - Florence G. Walters, nee Belanger, age 96, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, in Wayland, Mich.Florence was born on Dec. 20, 1908 in Cheboygan. On April 1, 1934, she was married to Homer Walters and lived in Mackinaw City. Florence became a very active member of St. Anthony's Parish Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of the Mackinaw City Women's Club and the school PTA. For the past several years she has divided her time between Mackinaw City and Punta Gorda, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer; her sisters, Marie, Louella and Aileen; and her brother, Ed.She is survived by her children, Chuck and Hazel of Mackinaw City, Bernard “Bunny” and JoAnn of Dorr, Mich., and Tom and Denise of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be conducted in the spring.The Reyers North Valley Chapel in Grand Rapids cared for the family.

WATKINS, GROUP CAPTAIN F.H., DFC CD RCAF JAN 1941-MARCH 1967 Frank has left us in his 91st year to join his loved and loving wife of 55 years, Charmian Ross who said farewell seven years ago this month. He leaves behind his children Melissa (Harry), Christopher (Anne) and Michael (Hawaii); his grandchildren Michael (Lin Su) (China), Robert, Joanne (UK) and Neil, his great-grandson Felix, his brother Stanley (New Brunswick) and his nieces and nephews. An officer and a gentleman he was a man loved by his family and friends and respected by all who knew him. On active service in W.W. II he flew Halifaxes as part of No 6 Group Bomber Command serving with 428 Ghost Squadron and then 434 Bluenose Squadron of which he became commanding officer in 1944. His citation for his Distinguished Flying Cross read "This officer is an extremely efficient captain and leader whose example of courage, skill and resolution has been an inspiration to the members of his squadron". Remaining in the RCAF his regular service included postings as commanding officer at Rockcliffe (1954-1958) and Namao (Edmonton 1964-1968). A man of considerable charm possessing a wicked sense of humour he will be sorely missed. The world will seem a little poorer with his passing. Born in Winnipeg in 1915 he sadly completed his journey through this life on a snowy Ottawa morning. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. She was a volunteer at the Laconia Salvation Army Thrift Store for many years. She was also involved with the Foster Grandparents program at Pleasant Street School and Elm Street School. Louise J. (Allard) Jobin – Manchester, NH -- Age 57 of Manchester, died Thursday December 22nd at her home, following a long illness. A lifelong resident of the Queen City, she was raised and educated in Manchester and graduated from St. Marie’s High School Class of 1966.A loving Wife and Mother, she stayed home to raise her Daughter Patti, until she went off to high school. Louise had worked as a documentation specialist for OSRAM Sylvania in Manchester for over fifteen years. She had a love of music, and especially enjoyed playing the African drums. She volunteered freely of her time to many local organizations, and touched many lives along the way. LOWELL -- Rose (Lecuyer) Moran, 93, a Lowell resident for more than four decades, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell.She was the wife of Charles P. Moran, who died in October of 1990.She was born in Lowell, Jan. 24, 1912, daughter of the late Andrew and Julia (Lafleur) Lecuyer. She attended the Lowell schools.She resided in the Highlands section of Lowell for more than 45 years, and was a communicant of Saint Margaret Church.She enjoyed crocheting, and making afghans for her grandchildren.She is survived by three children, a son Charles P. Moran Jr., of Billerica; two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan Perry of Lowell, and Patricia and Peter Toohey of Royal Oak, Mich.; five grandchildren, Peter Toohey Jr. and Lisa Toohey of Plano, Texas, Andrew Toohey and his partner, Kim of Nederland, Colo., Dr. Michael Toohey of San Francisco, Daniel Toohey and his wife, Lesley of Madison, Miss., Kathleen Mulcahy of Royal Oak, Mich.; and seven great-grandchildren, Brendan, Sophia, Schafer, Kylan and Laney Toohey, Jack and Aileen Mulcahy.She was also the mother of the late Dorothy L.
