Mrs. Blondine Mary Robertson (née O'Hearn) July 18, 1921 - December 01, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) ROBERTSON, Blondine Mary - It is with great sadness we, the family of Blondine Mary Robertson, Halifax, announce her passing on December 1, 2005, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Annie (Drysdale) O'Hearn. She loved her family and lived life to the fullest and especially enjoyed her trips to the Valley. Blondine was very proud of her three grandsons, all of whom are members of the Halifax Police Department. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert "Bob" Robertson; son, Ken (Kathy) Robertson, Halifax; grandchildren, Paul (Cindy), David (Lisa), and Gregory (Tammy); great-grandchildren, Sarah, Liam, Maddison, Kailey, and Hannah. She was a very special aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, December 4, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. BEBEAU, EDWARD W., 78, formerly of Rowe Ave., Pawtucket, died Tuesday at the St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield. He was the husband of the late Natalie (Berndt) Bebeau.Born in Providence, a son of the late William and Blanche (St. Germain) Bebeau, he was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. He was a communicant of St. Teresa Church. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Prior to retirement in 1985, he had been the co-owner of Bebeau Oil Company. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.He is survived by two sons, William G. Bebeau of Cranston and David A. Bebeau of Warwick, two daughters, Marilyn A. Robert J. Boucher, 88, Green Bay, died Nov. 29, 2005, at home. He was born April 4, 1917, in Green Bay, to the late Elmer and Katherine Boucher. He married Laverne (Ruben) Gerard on July 1, 1987. Robert was an avid gardener and developed two Christmas tree farms. He enjoyed spending time with his brother, Howard, at their river property. He was a member of Xavier Guild for many years. Robert was an accountant at the Hurlbut Company for many years until retirement. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Laverne; four step-children, Sue (Norm) Wied, Paul (Jackie) Gerard, all of Green Bay; Julie (Mike) Janssen, Champlin, Minn.; and Terri (Pete) Waselchuk, Caledonia, Wis.; 15 step-grandchildren; 24 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; one brother, Howard (Doris) Boucher, De Pere; two sisters, Edna Chappelle, Green Bay; Sister Catherine Mary (Marion) Boucher, St. Louis, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Mary Boucher, Green Bay. HOLLISTON -- Joanne M. (Davis) Therrien, 66, of Holliston, a former Lowell resident who had been a longtime IRS supervisor in Andover, died yesterday, Nov. 30, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief battle with cancer. She was the wife of Edmond R. Therrien, who died in 2001.She was born in Littleton, N.H., March 13, 1939, daughter of the late Garnold and Katherine (Kearney) Davis.Before retiring, Mrs. Therrien was a supervisor for many years at the Internal Revenue Service in Andover. WEBSTER— Norman O. "Spike" Daveau, 77, of 265 Thompson Rd., died Monday, November 28, 2005 in his home. His wife, Regina A. "Jean" (McCabe) Daveau died in 1985. He leaves three children, Anne Marie Kight of Albion, CA, John "Jack" Daveau of Webster and Pamela M. Silvia of Worcester, one brother, Donald J. Daveau of Weekiwachee, FL, and five grandchildren, Duncan, Trevor, Ryan, Brittany and Regina. He was born in Worcester, son of Oliver J. and Martha (Kasierski) Daveau, and lived here all his life. He attended St. Louis Elementary School, graduated from Bartlett High School in 1946. He went on to receive a bachelor of Science degree from Lowell Technological Institute and received a Master’s Degree in education from Worcester State College. Spike served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a sergeant. Mr. Daveau taught English in the former Bartlett Vocational School for several years and was special education teacher in the Sutton School system for 18 years. Spike was a basketball coach at Bartlett High School. He was a baseball coach at Sutton High School from 1969-1975, compiling a record of 66-41-1, leading the team to the districts in 1971, 1972, and 1974. He was also the cross country coach at Sutton High School from 1980-1984. He was a past Commandant of the Marine Corps League. Mr. Daveau was Past president of the Webster and Sutton Teachers Association, member of the National Education Association, Central Mass. Association of Special Education Teachers and formerly belonged to the Knights of Columbus and the Exchange Club of Webster. He was a past member of the Southern Worcester County Board of Mental Health, the Board of Directors of the Webster Rehabilitation Center and a past member of the Advisory Board for the state center of the retarded in Shrewsbury. He was a writer for the T&G Sports, covering Bartlett High School football and basketball from 1971-1977. Norman was better known as "Pop Pop" to his grandkids and will be missed by all. The funeral will be Saturday, December 3, 2005 with a Mass at 10:00 A.M in St. Louis Church, 16 Lake St. (Everyone is to meet at the church). Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Calling hours will be Friday, December 2, 2005 from 6-8 P.M. at the Robert J. Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel, 366 School St., Webster. Henry J. Derome, 87, of Manchester, died at the Veteran Medical Center Nursing Home on November 29, 2005.He was born in Manchester, NH on July 5, 1918, the son of the late Henry and Maria Anna (Lavoie) Derome and had been a resident of the Queen City for most of his life. He was a US Army Veteran and a parishioner of St. Patrick Church. Mr. Derome enjoyed collecting trains. WATERVILLE -- August "Gus" Fortin, 77, of Winslow died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Thayer Unit, MaineGeneral Medical Center, with his loving family by his side. Born April 3, 1928, the son of August Fortin Sr. and Lumina (Chamberlain) Fortin, August attended Waterville schools. He was a founding member of the Keyes Credit Union, now KSW Credit Union. He was manager and trustee for the credit union for 36 years. During his career with the credit union, he was involved with the Maine Credit Union league. Upon retiring, Gus enjoyed gardening. He especially enjoyed driving his tractor. He was an avid fan of the Roadrunner cartoon. He is also survived by one brother, Donald Fortin of California and one sister, Jean Curtis of California.Family and friends will gather for visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville. Georgette Y. Carmel -- March 12, 1902 - November 29, 2005 -- Georgette Y. (Grenon) Carmel, 103, formerly of Woodlawn, Rd., North Smithfield, died Tuesday, November 29, 2005 in Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Florimond Carmel, who died in 1974. Born on March 12, 1902, in St. Simon, Quebec, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Delphis and Louisa (Valcourt) Grenon. Mrs. Carmel came to the United States at the age of 6 and remained a lifelong resident of the greater Woonsocket area.She worked as a weaver for Jenckes Industries in Manville for many years, retiring in 1964. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Woonsocket for many years, and was also a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Church in Cumberland, and St. Joseph Church in Woonsocket at various times during her life. Mrs. Carmel was a devoted wife and mother, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.She is survived by a daughter Pauline Pouliot, of North Smithfield, a sister Martha Parenteau, of Cumberland, 3 grandchildren, Kenneth Pouliot, of Pascoag, Ronny Pouliot, of Maine, and Dianne Walling, of North Smithfield. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters.Her funeral will be Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 9:00 am from The Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Church, South Main St., Woonsocket. Iris Lee LeSueur, 82, left this life on Nov. 28, 2005 at the Carriage House in Snowflake. She was born to Marion and Ella Lee in Nutrioso, Jan. 27, 1923. Iris married Grover B. LeSueur on August 19, 1947. She worked as a secretary and office manager for the Round Valley School District for many years. Iris was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her compassion, service to family, strength, sense of humor and love of family and friends. She loved music, dancing, playing the piano, reading, traveling and gardening. She also loved sewing clothing for her family and made many beautiful quilts. Iris was well known for being a good homemaker and cook. She was an active member of the L.D.S. church throughout her life. Her survivors include daughters Joella (John) Brown, Cherylann (John) Thompson; grandchildren Tosha, Brett, Derek, Chelsea, Lacy, Cash, Kristy, Justin, Josh and Jordan; brothers Maxie Lee and Loran Lee; sisters LaVerne Slade, Gwen Hillman, and Ida Mae Jones; and eight great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her husband Grover B. LeSueur; sons Laverl Smith, Craig LeSueur; and grandson Chance LeSueur. Iris passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughters. Funeral services are planned for Saturday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Springerville Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Lemieux, Raymond -- Linwood, Michigan -- Raymond went to meet his Savior Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at his home following a lingering illness. He was born in Linwood on August 13, 1910 to the late Honore & Elizabeth (Menuier) Lemieux. Ray married the former Elizabeth Brancheau in 1933 at St. Michael Church. She predeceased him March 21, 1999. In his early years Ray played saxophone in a dance bank and took part in the Flint Fischer Body Sit Down Strike in 1935. He worked as a farmer, thresher, well driller and was the owner of Ray's Plumbing and Heating Co. His many hobbies included baseball, hunting, fishing, boating, bowling, and golf. He was a member of the Knuckle Knocker's and a charter member of the Linwood Knights of Columbus where he called many games of Bingo. Ray was the oldest living, lifetime member of St. Anne Church. He will be sadly missed by his children: Betty & Leo Rokosz of Linwood, Luanne & Robert Satkowiak of Kawkawlin, Dolores & John Dawley of Minneapolis, Mary Lou Nickel Lee of Bay City, and Patricia & Clare Pajot of Linwood; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; 2 brothers, Felix and Clarence; a sister, Bernedette; grandson, Randall Rokosz, and a great-grandson, Brandon Rokosz. After 15 years as a newspaper reporter and managing editor, Mr. Mallette spent 21 years at the American Press Institute (API), now located in Reston, where he worked in various capacities, including executive editor. He retired from API in 1987 and became director of projects for the World Press Freedom Committee. He was inducted into the North Carolina Journalism of Fame in 2002. Mr. Mallette graduated from Syracuse University. BIDDEFORD - Beatrice Gregoire, 94, of Biddeford, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005 at her home. She was born April 23, 1911 in Biddeford, the only child of John and Corinne Hevey Paul and was educated at Mt. Merici Academy in Waterville, graduating in 1929. A devoted wife and mother, Beatrice loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her home and heart were always open to all. It was not uncommon to find the insurance man or the oil delivery man eating dinner with the family. Over the years, she took in many people who needed a place to stay or a helping hand. Mrs. Gregoire was known to be an accomplished pianist and an outstanding cook, but was also very active outside her home. Beatrice served as vice president of the Rochambeau Club and for several terms as president of the Ross Center. She was a line dancing teacher and was one of the originators of the Ross Center Rockettes. She was a member of St. Andre's Church and was also involved as a captain for the funeral luncheon program there. In her retirement, she and her husband spent 15 years wintering in Bradenton, Fla. She described these years as sweet. Beatrice was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Wilfred J. Gregoire in 2000; a son, Jean Lamb in 1980; and a great grandson, Matthew Bushey in 2005. Surviving are three daughters, Mignonne Lamb of Saco, Joan Brooks of Biddeford, and Carolyn Camire and her husband Renald of Biddeford; a son, Francis Gregoire and his wife Judy of Biddeford; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, at Hope Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday at St. Andre's Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford. HOPKINS-COUTURE, Betty Alice - Entered peacefully into rest in San Leandro on November 29, 2005. She was 83. Born in Rigby, ID on October 6, 1922, Betty had been a "Rosie the Riveter" during WWII. A 60-year resident of San Francisco before moving to San Leandro a few years ago, Betty enjoyed being a homemaker. She had worked downtown at the San Francisco Emporium for 17 years. Afterwards she worked as a bookkeeper for the St. Francis Parking Garage and retired after 15 years. Devoted to her family, Betty loved to travel and enjoy life. She loved animals, especially dogs, and enjoyed riding horses. She will truly be missed. Betty is survived by her beloved brother, Burgis W. Seaquist of San Lorenzo. She leaves behind her loving nieces and nephews, Joann and Joe Adams, Byron and Karen Seaquist, Lois and Vince Poxleitner, Margaret and Dick Henning, Mary Louise and Lon Bagley, Larry and Carla Seaquist, Judy Larson, and Ed and Linda Bailey. TREMBLAY, Gereva - Age 89, of Grand Blanc, passed away peacefully November 26, 2005 at Genesys Convalescent Center in Grand Blanc. Gereva was born February 7, 1916, in Lake City Michigan. Graduated Flint Central High School, and earned her L.P.N. Nursing Degree from Hurley Hospital School of Nursing. She later worked as a Nurse with the Visiting Nurses Association of Genesee County. Gereva Married, Albert E. Tremblay, in 1966, and later retired from nursing to devote her time to community service. She became President of the Grand Blanc Women's Club, Grand Blanc Twentieth Century Club, and was first Founding President, the Grand Blanc Heritage Association. Gereva was Co-Chairman of the Grand Blanc Bi-Centennial Commission, and was instrumental in locating and securing the land for the Grand Blanc Bi-Centennial Park. She was a past member of the First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc, and was Superintendent of Sunday School, and the enrollment increased from 30 to 120, while she administered the program. She was within 2 testing days of receiving her degree in Theology from the Flint Bible Institute, when she suffered a stroke, April 22, 1987, at which time she became a resident of the Genesys Convalescent Center. Gereva became a member of the Grand Blanc Holy Family Catholic Church. Gereva, was survived by: her husband, Albert; sister, Mary Ann Howay; daughters, Beverly Helmboldt, and Carol Relyea; and son, Calvin Buell and Phillip Tremblay; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. CALDER, James Richard. 1924-2005. After a long and courageous illness, Richard the beloved husband of Germaine Calder passed away in Montreal General Hospital, Tuesday November 29, 2005 at the age of eighty-one years. Besides his wife, Richard is survived by seven sons: Kenny, Roger, Roland, Raymond, Leslie, Garfield and Paul, six daughters: Jean, Daphne, Joan, Marva, Nicole and Rachel. Cherished grandfather of twenty-five grand kids and great grandfather of ten. Beloved brother of Coswell Calder, sister-in-law to Lona Williams Calder, and uncle to many more nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by many other relatives and friends. The Family wishes to acknowledge the care and devotion of the staff of the Montreal General Hospital. Mrs. White was a long time teacher at Crowland Central School with the Niagara South Board of Education from where she retired following over 35 years of service.
