Pauline Claire Patry, 71, of the 8400 block of Halprin Drive, passed away on Oct. 21, 2005, at her residence. Mrs. Patry was a native of Norwich, Conn. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for more than 40 years where she volunteered for the HELP’s Ministry. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Norman G. Patry Sr.; a son, Norman G. Patry Jr. of Norfolk; two daughters, Pauline C. Patry Hardy and her husband Alan of Hampton, Va., and Michelle Anne Patry; grandchildren, Steven Anthony Gibbard, Christopher Patry Anderson and Lisa Marie Patry; four great-grandchildren, Kelleigh Denise Gibbard, Ashleigh Elizabeth Gibbard, Madison McKenzie Gibbard and Caleb Gibbard; two brothers and three sisters. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norview Chapel. LANCASTER -- Marie Cecile (Lessard) Dewitt, 91, of 288 George Hill Road, died Sunday, Oct. 23, at Apple Valley Center, Ayer. She was born in Fitchburg on June 21, 1914, the daughter of Alfred and Lillian (Dubois) Lessard and resided in Clinton and West Boylston before moving to Lancaster 37 years ago.She had attended the Immaculate Conception Church in Lancaster. For nearly 60 years, Mrs. Dewitt owned and operated the Modern Beauty Salons with locations in Clinton, Sterling, and Lancaster before she retired in 1996.Mrs. Dewitt was a member of the American Hairdressers Association. She enjoyed bowling and golfing and was an avid bridge player.She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Ajay Ghia of Camarillo, Calif. and Jane D. Burgoyne of Lancaster; seven grandchildren, David Harris, Michelle Harris, Carolyn Harris, Katie Niose, Sean Burgoyne, Frank Burgoyne, and Karen Albert; and five great-grandchildren, Amy Harris, Kyla Harvey, Nicholas Niose, Benjamin Niose, and Cameron Albert. She was the wife of Roland L. Dewitt who died in October 1988. LOWELL -- Rene "Joe" Dupont, 75, a lifelong Lowell resident who worked for the city and was a Korean War veteran, died Thursday evening, Oct. 20, at his home, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Eva A. (Landry) Dupont, with whom he was married for more than 52 years.He was born in Manchester, N.H., Oct. 30, 1929, son of the late Wilfrid and Georgianna (Brochu) Dupont.Mr. Dupont served in the U.S. Marines Corps., during the Korean War, and was discharged with the rank of private first class. He was the recipient of the Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal.Before retiring, Mr. Dupont was a laborer for several years, for the city of Lowell.Mr. Dupont had been a communicant of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, and more recently at St. Margaret Church in Lowell.He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed the companionship of his two dogs, Jake and Rock.Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald R. and Caryn A. Dupont of Dracut, and Dennis C. and Angela M. Dupont of Haverhill; two daughters and a son-in-law, Denise A. and Ross L. Kinsley of Tyngsboro, and Arlene M. LEICESTER— Wilfred J. Hisoire, 76, of 82 Mannville St. died on Friday October 21 in his home after an illness. Mr. Hisoire is survived by two brothers Dennis P. Hisoire and Robert L.P. Hisoire both of Green Cove Springs, FL; two sisters Marion T. Sawyer and Ruth E.Youmans with whom he lived both of Leicester; several nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces. He was born in Worcester son of the late Wilfred E. and Evelyn (Lavallee) Hisoire and served in the United States Navy for 20 years. Mr. Hisoire worked as a police officer for the Town of Leicester for many years before retiring. He was a member of St. Joseph Church. Mr. Hisoire was very involved in youth athletics in the area serving as an umpire and a coach. The funeral will be held on Monday October 24 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. Worcester with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Pius X Church 1154 Main St. Leicester. LaPLANT, Leo - Passed away October 13, 2005 at the age of 84. Leo, a forth generation San Franciscan, was born on February 27, 1921. He grew up in San Francisco and developed a love of sailing on San Francisco Bay. In 1939, in college, Leo met Lucy (Lucille Storie, a fifth generation Californian), the love of his life and his best friend. They were married on December 25, 1942 in Berkeley, CA. Leo and Lucy spent their 63 years of marriage in the Bay Area, in Berkeley and Orinda. With their keen interest in travel, they enjoyed many cruises and visited 70 countries around the world. Leo's avid interest in aviation led him to obtain his private pilot's license and eventually his own airplane, enjoying many hours of flying with friends and family. His favorite times were spent entertaining his many close friends, attending Cal football games and enjoying frequent family gatherings. He will be greatly missed for his sense of humor, his warm smile and his love for his wife and family. Leo is survived by his adored wife of 63 years, Lucy; his children, Michael LaPlant (Michele) of San Diego, Susan O'Connor (Paul) of S. Lake Tahoe and Julie Henderson (Bob) of Hawaii and Berkeley. Pamela A. Dube, nee Snobel, 56, mother of two wonderful children, Matthew and Heather, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005 of lung cancer at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital. She is survived by Richard F. Dube, her husband of 32 years, whom she met in Economics class at Morton West High School, Berwyn, IL, in 1965. A 23-year resident of Hinsdale, IL, Pam received her Bachelor's degree in Education from Northern Illinois University and was a teacher in the Head Start Program of the Chicago public school system. A fabulous mom, an enthusiastic cook and hostess, a dedicated wife, and a community volunteer, Pam was also a fiercely loyal and generous friend to many. In addition to Richard, Matthew and Heather, she is survived by her mother, Anita Snobel; father, Richard Snobel; son-in-law, Richard Johnson; sister, Carol and husband, Daniel Goodwin; sister, Linda Ignace; four nieces, Julie Tice, Jennifer Blaha, Lindsey Ignace and Aubrey Ignace; and nephew, Alan Ignace. Stanley Joseph Doussan, age 76 years, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2005 in Lacombe. He was a native and resident of New Orleans. Mr. Doussan retired from Shell Oil Company and was a business owner with various interests, Stan's Restaurant and Truck Stop, Diamond Jubilee Video Poker and Real Estate. He was a graduate of Aloysius High School. Mr. Doussan was the son of the late Scott and Edmee Montegut Doussan; brother of the late Jack Doussan, Emma Usher and Eda Rose Crittenden. He is survived by a daughter, Barbara D. Parra of Bay St. Louis, MS; one sister, Stella Golden, two brothers, Donald Doussan, Warren Doussan, three grandchildren, Robert Ragusa, Julie van Schooten, Cindy Trosclair, three great-grandchildren, Ericka Rush, Brittany Rush, Camden Trosclair, and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his devoted life partner of 17 years, Jean Audibert of Lacombe. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9-11 AM at The Funeral Home. A Mass will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 11 AM from Schoen Funeral Home Chapel in Covington. Interment will follow at St. Louis III. Arrangements by Schoen Funeral Home, Covington. Il était fils de Paul F. Arseneault et de Gisèle Haché. Outre ses parents, il laisse dans le deuil deux soeurs: Annick (Ghislain) de Dieppe et Renée Maryse (Jason) de Fredericton; sa grand-mère maternelle, Emilienne Haché d’Inkerman Ferry; son parrain et sa marraine, Jacques et Manon Arseneault, ainsi que plusieurs oncles, tantes, cousins et cousines. Son grand-père maternel, Henri Haché, ainsi que ses grands-parents paternels, François et Marie Arseneault, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. Il était étudiant au CCNB de Bathurst. ALBERTY, Raymond Joseph 1935-2004 - The family and friends of Ray are invited to gather at St. Mary's Cemetery, North Bay, at the family plot adjacent to the Administration Building, on Saturday, October 22nd, at 2:30 p.m. for a brief memorial service, followed by light refreshments and a celebration of his life to be held at Average Joe's, 3501 Trout Lake Road. Ray died suddenly at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto, as the result of a heart attack, on April 5th, 2004, eight days before his 69th birthday. Cremation followed. Interment has taken place. After finishing High School in North Bay, Ray worked for Imperial Oil in North Bay. He later moved to Toronto, where he worked for the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto from 1977 to 1987. He worked for CIBC World Markets Equity Research from 1987 until his retirement in January 2004. Ray had a lifetime love of horses, and enjoyed horseback riding. He was predeceased by his sister Cookie (Colombe) Boucher in 2001. He is sadly missed by his sister Teresa Hands (Ray) of Waterloo. Also surviving him are nieces and nephews - Mark Boucher, Kathy Boucher, Dan Forrest, Donna Rae (Forrest) Clancy, and Richard Hands.

FITCHBURG -- Elsie (LeBlanc) Leger, 90, of Leominster Crossings and formerly of 279 Daniels St. and 110 St. Joseph Ave., died Friday, Oct. 21, at the HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster. She was the widow of Edmond Leger, who died in 1982. Mrs. Leger was born in Fitchburg, Jan. 6, 1915, a daughter of Philomon and Melina (Richard) LeBlanc and was been a lifelong Fitchburg resident. Mrs. Leger had worked in the cafeteria at Fitchburg High School for 10 years, retiring in 1980. Prior to that she worked as an upholsterer at Selig Company. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fitchburg and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was also a member of the retired Women’s Club. Mrs. Leger also enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage and pinochle. Mrs. Leger enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Mrs. Leger is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard D. and Paula Leger of Leominster; two daughters and son-in-laws, Diane and Joseph Thibaudeau of Ashby and Deidre and Paul Pierce of Burlington. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Leon J. LeBlanc, Lionel LeBlanc and Edgar LeBlanc, all of Fitchburg.
