Dugal Frederick Sharpe, beloved husband of Mary (Irvine) and son of the late Harry Sharpe and Pearl Horner. Predeceased by brothers Lennis, Clifford, Manson, Ellwood, Kenneth, and Morley, and sisters Winona and Lillas. Survived by sisters-in-law Hermoine, Evelyn, and Pat, as well as many nieces and nephews. Will be especially missed by niece Brenda (Garry) Young. MARY PATRICIA ANNE COMEAU GIBBS WATERBURY CENTER —Mary Patricia Anne Comeau Gibbs, 50, of Barnes Hill Road, passed away in Copley Hospital in Morrisville on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005. Born in Colchester on June 7, 1955, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Theresa M. (Kolb) Comeau. On July 22, 1978, she married Thomas M. Gibbs in Milton. Mary was a 1973 graduate of Essex High School following which she worked for several years in food service at St. Michael's College. Moving to Waterbury, Mary worked at Crossroads Beverage before dedicating her time to being a homemaker and raising her family. Most recently, Mary was employed at the former McDonald's Restaurant in Stowe, retiring due to declining health. Mary enjoyed camping, cooking, baking, being a homemaker and caring for her family. A very social person, she was the happiest being around people, talking, and sharing a good laugh. Mary is survived by her husband of 27 years, Thomas M. Gibbs of Waterbury Center; their daughter, Heather A. Gibbs and her husband, Matthew J. Sikora of Jericho; two stepsons, Michael Gibbs of Waterbury and Nathan Gibbs of St. Johnsbury; four grandchildren; a sister, Kathy Therriault of Milton; three brothers, Robert Comeau of Georgia, Richard Comeau of Burlington, and George Comeau of Mount Dora Fla.; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Andrew Catholic Church in Waterbury on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the PerkinsParker Funeral Home in Waterbury on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will take place in Waterbury Center Cemetery. Martel, Jean-Frédéric JEAN-FRÉDÉRIC MARTEL 22 octobre 2005 Jean Martel et Michèle Gervais et leur fils Charles-Olivier Martel, ont le très grand regret de vous faire part du décès de Jean-Frédéric Martel, à l'âge de 15 ans, paisiblement à la maison, à Embrun, Ontario, à la suite d'une courageuse lutte de deux ans contre une tumeur cancéreuse au cerveau. Outre ses parents et son frère, Jean-Frédéric laisse dans le deuil et dit aurevoir à ses grands-parents: Rolland Martel d'Embrun et Denise et Rhéal Gervais de Hull; son arrière-grand-mère Eva Beauchamp, de nombreux oncles, tantes, cousins et cousines des familles Martel et Gervais et de nombreux amis. Il a été prédécédé par sa grand-mère Lorette Martel. Altruiste manifeste et d'un fin sens de l'humour, Jean-Frédéric a fait preuve d'un courage plus qu'exemplaire et d'une joie de vivre remarquable. Antoinette A. (Gamache) Dupont, 94, of Goffstown died October 22, 2005 at her daughter’s home in Goffstown after a period of declining health. Born in Canada on April 29, 1911, she was the daughter of Appolinaire and Rose (Pettigrew) Gamache. She came to the United States at the age of three and lived the rest of her life in Manchester. She was predeceased by her husband, Al Dupont in 1979 and by a daughter, Marcelle Lemieux in 1999. The family includes three daughters, Georgette Lavalliere and Lucille Lebrun both of Manchester and Madeleine Dupont of California; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; four sisters, Simone Gregoire, Jeanne Gilbert, Ghislaine Compagna and Sr. Yvette Gamache all of Manchester; three brothers, Bertrand Gamache and Philip Gamache both of Manchester and Richard Gamache of Colorado; many nieces and nephews. IN HER LIFE: She loved her family and was the hostess of large family gatherings for most of her life. She was a great cook, an excellent seamstress and an avid gardener. She was a business woman who was ahead of her time, doing custom drapes and slipcovers for many throughout the state of New Hampshire. McLAUGHLIN, MAURICE KEITH The death of Maurice McLaughlin of Burton, NB, occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Saturday, October 22, 2005. Born on June 16, 1918 in French Lake, NB he was the son of the late Ernest and Grace (Wood) McLaughlin and husband of the late Patricia (Houston) McLaughlin. Maurice was a Staff Sergeant during World War II with Field Artillery. After the war he worked in heavy construction helping to build both the Burton Bridge and Mataquac Dam. He spent 10 years at UNB working as a carpenter and spent the last 8 years of his life enjoying one of his favorite hobbies, building Cedar Canoes. He is survived by his step-sons, David Bartlett (Linda) of Sheffield, NB, Harold Bartlett (Patricia) of Port Aux Basques, NL, Richard Bartlett (Fran) and Frederick Bartlett (Daisy) both of Chilliwack, BC; his brothers, David of French Lake, NB, Billy of Geary, NB, Jack and Howard both of Rusagonis, NB; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. DORE, MEDLEY FRANK Medley F. Dore of Southampton, NB passed away unexpectedly October 22, 2005 at his home. Born in Woodstock, NB in 1938, he was the son of Walter and Mary (Ritchie) Dore. Medley was a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed spending time with family and his grandchildren. Medley loved the sports of hunting and fishing, and also enjoyed listening to music and playing his guitar. JOHNSON, WILLIAM "BILLY" MARTIN - Unexpectedly, at his residence in Blacks Harbour, NB on Friday, October 21, 2005, Mr. William "Billy" Martin Johnson, husband of Sandy Johnson. Born in Blacks Harbour, NB on January 9, 1967, he was a son of Lillian Rose (James) Johnson and the late Martin Lloyd Johnson. A loving husband, father, son and brother, he is survived, besides his wife, by two sons, Martin and Dwayne and two daughters, Diandra (Dede) and Tricia, all of Blacks Harbour; his mother, Lillian Johnson (Don Mann) of Keswick Ridge; maternal grandmother, Annabelle (Thurston) Reid of Carrs Ridge, NB; three brothers, Gerry (Linda) of Saint John, Darren (Audrey) of Pennfield and Wade (Darlene) of Blacks Harbour; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased, besides his father, by a brother, Michael Dwayne. Billy was a self employed fisherman who loved and lived for the water. He enjoyed diving and urchin fishing as well as lobster fishing. He designed his own boat, which he named 'Sandy's Girls'. He was a devoted family man and a friend to all who knew him. By request, there will be no visiting at the funeral home. To celebrate his life, a memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Blacks Harbour on Tuesday at 3 pm with Rev. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Edward and Frances (Meade) Joyce. Brian worked for the City of Halifax for over 30 years as a heavy equipment operator. He had a generous nature and will be sadly missed by everyone he touched. Brian loved spending time with his family and took great pride in his grandchildren's lives. QUILL, Lois (nee Sheldrick), Lois passed away peacefully surrounded by love and family at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Friday, October 21, 2005. She had fought cancer gracefully and bravely. Lois was the beloved wife of the late John Quill . Mother of Michael Quill (Kelly) and their children Steven, Mikey, Emily and John and great-grandchildren Jayden and Arianna. Lois is survived by brothers Wayne and Marvin and sister Gail. The final lesson we teach our children is how we handle the news of our own end. Lois handled this news with the utmost dignity and grace. KENNEDY, GERALD W. The death of Gerald W. Kennedy occurred on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, at Ridgewood Veterans' Wing, Saint John. He was 84. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late John Murray Kennedy and Mary Margaret (Caples) Kennedy, and husband of the late Ruth (Housen) Kennedy. During World War II, he served his country as a member of The First Special Service Force (Devil's Brigade). Later, he was a firefighter in Saint John and CFB Gagetown. After his retirement, he served as a member of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires. Survived by two sons, Blake (Maureen) Kennedy of Rusagonis, and Kevin (Lisa) Kennedy of Barrie, ON; one daughter, Joanne (Lee) Boyer of Grand Bay-Westfield; son-in-law Rick Demmings of Fredericton; sisters Theresa (Bert) MacDonald of Oromocto and Connie Smith of Saint John.
