Maizy Lee 1917 - 2005 Maizy s’en est allée tout doucement, selon sa volonté, ce 18 octobre 2005, à Gatineau, secteur Hull. Elle est partie rejoindre sa mère, Arthémise Bernier, trop tôt disparue, son père, James Robert Lee, ses frères, James, Edwin, Lennox, Donald, Stanley, sa sœur Mary Kate, de même que son mari, Émile Cantin, décédé à La Tuque, le 10 juillet 1996. Elle laisse, pour se souvenir tendrement d’elle, ses trois fils, Pierre (Jacqueline Potvin), Robert et Jean (Suzanne Régnier) ainsi que ses trois petits-fils, Jean-François, Dominic et Olivier, ses sœurs Grethel et Juanita (Patrick Renaud) et son frère Steven (Marie-Claire Laplante), ses belles-sœurs Lucienne Hains et Thérèse Simard, ses cousines Eileen et Joan Lee, auxquels s’ajoutent ses amis très chers, fils et filles de feu madame Germaine Dussault Cadoret, que nous appelions affectueusement tante Marie : Pierrette et Raymond Desmeules, Édouard et Yvette Vallée, Pauline et Serge Bégin, Michel et Claude. À ceux-ci s’ajoutent de nombreux neveux et nièces. Nous souhaiterions que l’envoi de fleurs soit compensé par des dons à des organismes de charité, notamment UNICEF, Oxfam, Développement et Paix, ou une organisation locale s’occupant des plus démunis. NEGODAEFF, Irene Edna (nee Graham) Our beautiful Mummie left us, peacefully, on Friday, October 14, just before noon, at the age of 89. Predeceased by our beloved father, Dmitri (Nick), she will be sorely missed by daughters Maggie Negodaeff (Peter) and Susan Risk (Brent) of Ottawa, nephews Davin Risk (Gayla), Geoffrey (Marsha), Brian (Janine), and Christopher (Barbara) Rowell, their mother and Mummie's sister Jean (Graham) Rowell of Etobicoke, brothers Norman Graham of Burlington and Peter (Hannelore) Graham of Nerja, Spain - plus a host of beloved great-nieces and nephews. Rene was loved by everyone who met her. Her sparkle and love of life brushed hundreds of souls and left them happier for her presence. She was a talented artist, singer, dancer and poet, and even scored a hole-in-one the first year she attempted golf! A veteran of WW II, Rene had spent 10 years working on London's Daily Express newspaper before she joined the Women's Land Army to help keep England eating. She met our Dad at the Overseas Club just after the War, and they married a year later. There will be private arrangements for her cremation and disposition, and a celebration of her life on November 10, 2005, at the library of the National Press Club, 165 Sparks St. Ottawa, between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Please call Maggie at 613-563-0518 for details. CHRETIEN, Jean B. (Canadian Tourism Commission) On Sunday, October 16, 2005, in his 58th year. Dear partner of Paul Benoit. Loved by many brothers and sisters. Jean was appointed Senior Vice President Marketing and Sales for the CTC on March 1, 2004 and early 2005 was appointed Senior Vice President of Brand Implementation. His involvement in tourism began in 1981 when he served as Executive Assistant to the Federal Minister of Small Business and Tourism. From 1984 to 1986 he held several positions in the federal Department of Industry Trade and Commerce and in 1987 became Director of Product Development for Tourism Canada. Since 1990 Jean was the Executive Vice President of Tourism Montreal. From August 1997 to December 1999 he participated on an executive interchange with the CTC as Senior Vice President, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer where he oversaw the process to transition the CTC into a crown corporation. CADDELL, James Lawrence B.A. (McGill), M.A. (RMC) March 16, 1973 - October 16, 2005 Tragically at Tupiza, Bolivia. Beloved husband of Tara Newell. Born in Montreal, the son of Andrew Caddell (Elaine Feldman) and Norma Lewis (Tom Cummins), James was raised near Ormstown, Quebec and later in Cortland, New York. A decorated soldier and UN peacekeeper, James was an accomplished academic and public servant who loved the outdoors, served his country, and had such concern and curiosity about the world around him that he sought to see all of it. He and Tara travelled the world and undertook humanitarian work over the past sixteen months. James was a loving grandson to the late Philip and Elga Caddell in summers in Kamouraska and to Ed Cummins and his late wife Ruth in Cortland. Brian and Cheryl Newell of London, and Kay Newell of Creemore loved him as their own. He was the best brother to Erin (Charlie), Chris (Connie) and Siobhan Kelly, Cara and Lucy Cummins in the US and to Emily and Jack Caddell of Ottawa. He leaves to celebrate his life many relatives and friends around the world. A memorial service will be celebrated in Ottawa later this month. FITCHBURG -- Elsie (LeBlanc) Leger, 90, of Leominster Crossings and formerly of 279 Daniels St. and 110 St. Joseph Ave., died Friday, Oct. 21, at the HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster. She was the widow of Edmond Leger, who died in 1982. Mrs. Leger was born in Fitchburg, Jan. 6, 1915, a daughter of Philomon and Melina (Richard) LeBlanc and was been a lifelong Fitchburg resident. Mrs. Leger had worked in the cafeteria at Fitchburg High School for 10 years, retiring in 1980. Prior to that she worked as an upholsterer at Selig Company. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fitchburg and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was also a member of the retired Women’s Club. Mrs. Leger also enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage and pinochle. Mrs. Leger enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Mrs. Leger is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard D. and Paula Leger of Leominster; two daughters and son-in-laws, Diane and Joseph Thibaudeau of Ashby and Deidre and Paul Pierce of Burlington. Yvonne Anna Belair (née Labine) November 27, 1914 - October 22, 2005 Peacefully, in her sleep, Yvonne left us to sew angels' wings on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at St. Joseph's Villa, Dundas, Ontario in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband, Albert (1991), and thirteen brothers and sisters, and survived by her daughter Claudette (Tom Mancini), grand-daughters Chantal (Glen Matthews) and Regan, two brothers, Ray and Leo, and four sisters, Germaine, Lucienne, Lorraine and Therese, and scores of nieces and nephews and their children. Suzanne Pingley Boulineau went home to be with the Lord on October 20, 2005. She was born in Winchester, Virginia on August 17, 1932. She is preceded in death by her parents William B. Pingley and Louise V. Pingley, brother Jack B. Pingley and her loving husband of fifty years, Fred Boulineau. Suzanne is survived by her children Suzan B. Powell, Allyson B. Lee, Bonnie B. Civille and David H. Boulineau, son-in-laws Steve Civille and Arnold Lee Jr., grandchildren Jennifer and Nathan Rotolante, Caroline S. Powell, Derek M. Wessel, Kristina Civille, and great grandchildren Noah H. Powell and Johnathan R.J. Rotolante. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and best friend to all. OBITUARY Leslie Maude QUICKE (Clarke) Passed away peacefully October 19, 2005 at McMaster University Medical Centre, Hamilton, Ontario, after a year long struggle with heart failure. She goes to her Lord and to rejoin her loving husband Raymond. Leslie was born in Dunfield, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland on March 6, 1920, the first child of Jesse (Guy) and John Clarke. She was a long time resident of Montreal, Quebec where she met and married Raymond Dennis Quicke (deceased). Leslie spent the last several years in Hamilton and made many new friends here. She leaves behind three sons; Robert (Kathy) of Vancouver, B.C., Clifford (Kim) of Hamilton, ON, and Allan (Mary) of Beamsville, ON. Beloved sister to Gloria Marsh (Jim, deceased), Ruby Clarke (Edger), Phoebe Clarke (Norman), and brother-in-law Albert Quicke (Mary). Predeceased by Louisa Marsh (Arthur), Jackie Clarke (Gus), Allan Clarke (survived by his wife Lillian) all of Newfoundland. Also grieving, eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. We want to thank the many doctors, nurses, students and support staff at MUMC, especially ER, CRCU, 3X and 3Y. Also thanks to staff of Lilac Lane at Wentworth Lodge, even though her stay was short, you all brought us such comfort and showed such care for Leslie, it helped us prepare for her passing. The memory board is so wonderful, we will cherish it and share it with those who mourn with us. (Pelletier) Richard.A lifelong resident of Exeter, he was a carpenter by trade and worked for many years as a foreman of the carpentry shop at Phillips Exeter Academy.He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. He was a member of the K of C #2179 of Exeter and a member of the American Legion Post #51 of Epping. He was a communicant of St. Michael's Church.Family members include his wife, Helen A. (Dusseault) Richard of Exeter; a son, Edward P. Richard of Vero Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Linda J. Richard of Keene; three stepdaughters, Joan E.
