(Maurice) Baillargeon, franciscain. Outre ses confrères religieux, il laisse dans le deuil son frère Samuel père rédemptoriste, sa soeur Hortense religieuse du Bon Pasteur, une belle-soeur, des neveux et nièces et de nombreux autres parents et amis. Evelyn "Pee Wee" Melancon, 75, a native of Bayou L’Ourse and resident of Bayou Blue, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue.She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Fonseca; four brothers, Louis Pisani, Chester East, Kenneth East and Edward Melancon; one sister, Victoria S. Kell; and one grandchild.She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving Melancon and Eva Courteaux; and one daughter, Amanda Melancon.She was a waitress at Usies and Almas Café for many years.

Margaret T. (LaPierre) McElhinney of Dedham, passed away October 17, 2005 at the German Centre For Extended Care in West Roxbury. She was 84. Mrs. McElhinney was born in Boston and was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Adams) LaPierre. She lived in Dedham for 35 years. She was the beloved wife of Daniel F. McElhinney . Stepmother of Geraldine Rodrigues of Largo, FL. She was the sister of Jean Picozzi of West Roxbury, and Donald and Robert LaPierre both of Belmont. Funeral services at the George F. MARCOTTE, Raymond J. Raymond J. Marcotte passed away with dignity, peace and love at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Center, Monday, October 17, 2005. He will be fondly remembered by his wife Lorraine (nee Blanchette), his children Marc R. (Lise Seguin) and their children Gabrielle, Eric and Andreanne of Hawkesbury, ON; Monique (Louise Coleman) of Regina, SK; Martin (Carol Seguin) and their children Pascal, Janelle and Alexandre of Oakville; Marcel of Ottawa, Margot (Eric Simms) of Petawawa, ON; his sister Lucille of Saskatoon, SK; his brothers-in-law Harvey Glaslyn of SK, Gilbert (Irene) of Edmonton and Ernie of Saskatoon; many nieces, nephews and cousins; friends and former colleagues because of his community involvement, volunteer work and his professional career. His parents, Ernest and Rosee Marcotte and his brothers Roland, Robert and Maurice predeceased Raymond. Raymond was born November 11, 1928, in Prud'homme, SK, where he received his elementary education from les Filles de la Providence. He completed his secondary education and Cours classique at College Mathieu, Gravelbourg, SK, under the guidance of the Oblates and one year law at the University of Saskatchewan. While he owned a business in Saskatoon, he became involved in the cooperative movement. First as secretary-manager of La Caisse populaire francaise de Saskatoon and later as the first full time employee of Le conseil de la cooperation de la Saskatchewan. In 1961, Raymond became the managing director of CFNS radio (Saskatoon). He then worked for two years as a Social development officer for the Secretary of State, Government of Canada, and returned to broadcasting as manager of CFRG (Gravelbourg). He was one of the chief negotiators involved when CBC- Radio-Canada purchased the two private stations, CFNS and CFRG. Raymond always had a special interest in the media, undoubtedly because of Msgr. Maurice Baudoux, a founder of French radio in Saskatchewan. Raymond's leadership skills were recognized by CBC- Radio-Canada and he was appointed Director of French radio in 1973 and later also as Director of French Television in Regina. He was eventually named Regional Director of French Services for Saskatchewan. In 1988, Marcotte was promoted to Associate Vice-President French Regional Broadcasting for CBC- Radio-Canada. Raymond was a member of many boards and associations such as the Sask. Cooperative Credit Society, the Sask. Mutual Aid Board, Sask. Sports, l'Association culturelle franco-canadienne, the Sask. Arts Board, that he chaired from 1978-1981, l'Assurance-vie Desjardins, le Conseil de la vie francaise en Amerique, where he became president, chancellor and the first life member of this august body. For his dedication, involvement and contribution to his community, his province and his country, Raymond received numerous awards: l'Ordre du merite cooperative de la Sask. And the Canadian one, the Chevalier de la Compagnie des Cent-Associes Francophones, the President's Award CBC- Radio-Canada, the Ottawa Food Bank (Apple) Award and others. He was honored and most proud to be the recipient of the Order of Canada (1993) and an honorary doctor of law degree (honoris causa) from the University of Regina (2004). Raymond always credited his achievements to his deep faith, hard work, his sobriety (AA 49 years) and his family. He had a great love of family, especially his grandchildren. Raymond was known for his dedication, his frankness, his generosity and his sense of humor. The Marcotte family wishes to express their very sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and support staff, who took special care of their husband and father during his illness. TURCOTTE GUIMOND (CORNEAU) Lucienne (1915-2005) Née à Montmagny, province de Québec, le 2 mars 1915. Paisiblement, elle remet son âme ce 15e jour d'octobre 2005 à la résidence Gertrude Lafrance de Saint-Luc, Québec, à l'âge de 90 ans, alors qu'elle suit son fils Georges, décédé au même moment en Floride. Épouse de feu Edward Guimond de St-Camille, elle laisse dans le deuil son fils Paul Turcotte, la femme de son fils Georges, Lucille Cartier Turcotte de Bradenton, Floride. Ses petits-enfants Daniel, Jason, Mario, France, Brenda et Mandy, ses soeurs Bernadette de Montréal, Cécile de Lévis, plusieurs de ses filleul(e)s Diane, Normand, Céline, Daniel, Henri, Marjolaine, neveux et nièces du Connecticut et Massachusetts et plusieurs ami(e)s. CHRONOLOGIE Lucienne Turcotte fut employée auprès du Cabinet Jean Lesage à Québec vers la fin des années 1945 comme matronne. Elle demeura au Connecticut dans les années 1950 et avait plusieurs maisons de chambre à Hartford, Connecticut. Par la suite, dans les années 1960, elle a demeuré à Sarasota, Floride et possédant une résidence en soins prolongés. En 1976, elle entreprit comme co-propriétaire les Ambulances Chambly-Trinity, Professionnel et Ambulance Para Médic de Sherbrooke. Ainsi elle fonda en 1976, le système EMS-911 (système d'urgence medical) au Québec. Elle revenait en Ontario dû à son âge pour être auprès de son fils et revenir au Québec en 2002. SERVICES FUNÉRAIRES: Les funérailles, en présence des cendres, seront célébrées le 21 octobre 2005, à l'église Saint-Luc, province de Québec, Canada à 14 h 30 et de là les cendres seront déposées au cimetière de Saint-Camille, le 22 octobre 2005, vers 14 h 30, en présence de la famille. Suzanne Rossignol l'Acadie Nouvelle - 19 octobre 2005 BATHURST - À sa résidence, le dimanche 16 octobre 2005, à l’âge de 83 ans, est décédée subitement Suzanne Rossignol, épouse de feu Roland Rossignol, domiciliée à Bathurst, rue Sainte-Anne. Née à Québec, Qc, elle était fille de feu Paul Emile et Corinne (Gauvreau) Gagnon. Elle laisse dans le deuil deux fils: Michel (Huberte Cormier) et Pierre; une fille, Pauline (Keith Loupelle); trois petits-enfants: Steffan et Christianne Loupelle et Luc Paryse Rossignol; deux soeurs: Jeanne Bradley et Claire Marcoux, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Son époux, Roland «Roly» Rossignol, l’a précédée dans la tombe en 1981. Mme Rossignol était membre des Dames d’Acadie, de la Ligue des femmes catholiques Sainte-Famille, du Club de curling de Bathurst et pendant plusieurs années, elle a été bénévole spécialement pour «Meals on Weels». Il n’y aura pas de visites au salon funéraire. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Sainte-Famille, avenue Saint-Pierre à Bathurst, le mercredi 19 octobre, à 11h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial. La direction des funérailles a été confiée aux soins professionnels de la Maison funéraire Elhatton de Bathurst (www.elhatton.com).

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Jan. 25, 1931 -- Departed on Oct. 12, 2005 and resided in Philadelphia, PA. -- Dorothy Elizabeth was born on January 25, 1931 to the union of Joseph H. and Pearl Ellis DeVeaux. She was the fifth child and the first daughter of their seven children. Overcoming childhood diseases Dorothy grew strong and healthy in a God fearing Christian home where she was introduced to the Lord. The DeVeaux family attended the Mt. Olivet Tabernacle Baptist Church, where Dorothy accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. There she was baptized under the pastorate of the late Rev. Dr. Marshall L. Shepard Sr. at the tender age of ten years old. Dorothy served on the Junior Usher Board and as a Junior Missionary as well as being a faithful Sunday school attendant. As a teenager Dorothy sang on the Young Adult Choir and the Joseph Henderson Accapella Choir. She was also the president of the church’s female softball team and basketball team the Alcadebs.Dorothy was educated in the Philadelphia public school system, graduating from Overbrook High School in January 1949. She attended Hampton University of one semester studying mortuary science.On August 28, 1954 Dorothy married her childhood friend, George C. Berry. After 13 years of marriage, enjoying the many nieces and nephews and traveling extensively they were blessed with two daughters, Anisa F. and Joyce N. Berry.Dorothy was employed by Peter Piper a children’s clothier and after almost twenty years of service she retired from the Philadelphia Board of Education. Never being one to sit still she began to work as a security officer for SpectraGuard/Allied Barton at the University of Pennsylvania until her health no longer permitted.Dorothy joined the New Macedonia Baptist Church under the direction of the Rev. John B. Brown where she rededicated her life to the Lord. At Macedonia, she held positions as President and Vice President of the Senior Choir. She was faithful to her choir and her pastor. On August 21, 2001; Dorothy along with her pastor and several members march into the newly formed New Spring Baptist Church. At New Spring Dorothy held the office of Vice President of the Senior Choir until the Lord called her home.To the Deveaux-Ellis family, Dorothy is considered one of its historians, having been instrumental in organizing a family club, and our family reunions.Dorothy is survived by: her husband of fifty-one years, George; two daughters, Anisa F. Berry and Joyce N. Thornsberry; one son-in-law, Lamar Thornsberry; two granddaughters, Amber Dawson and Joelle Hill all of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two brothers, George (Lillian) DeVeaux of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and William (Ruth) DeVeaux of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, O’Hilda (Eugene) Starks and Pearl L. DeVeaux both of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two brothers that preceded her in death, Joseph and Robert DeVeaux both of California; a devoted nephew, Christopher Odom; along with a host of caring and loving nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted siblings, adopted children and friends.

Among his many accomplishments was a case that was held before the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Lyman had proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, serving in the Pacific as a radioman on the Kula Gulf aircraft carrier. He was an avid golfer always enjoying a good round with friends and also enjoyed traveling the world especially with his wife and partner in life, Patricia. Lyman was a man of good values and respect; he will be deeply missed by his family and all whose lives he touched.Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feerick Funeral Home, followed by a service at 7:00. DELMAR, NY -- Francis X. Cedilotte, 93, of Delmar, died October 17, 2005 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Frank was born January 1, 1912 in Palmer, Mass., the son of the late Francis X. Cedilotte Sr. and Cordelia Byrnes Cedilotte. His parents were immigrants from Canada and Ireland, respectively. Having lost his father, Frank moved with his mother to Albany in 1923, graduating from St. Mary's Grammar School and Christian Brothers Academy. He earned a B.S. in physics and math and a M.A. in sociology from Siena College. He married Kathleen Erma Sanford in 1943 and together they raised four children. Frank served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific area of operations. In 1976, he retired from the New York Telephone Company as a senior network design engineer after 46 years of service. Frank was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar, a lifetime member of the New York Telecomm Pioneers, a member of the Second Milers, the Albany Radio Association and the Albany Society of Engineers. Continuing education was a lifelong pursuit of his and, as a senior citizen, he audited numerous courses at various colleges and universities into his mid-80s. His other hobbies included avid reading, the arts, walking, gardening, golf and travel to scenic areas throughout New York State and New England. He was also a dedicated volunteer and supporter over many years at fund raising activities on behalf of Christian Brothers Academy and Siena College, receiving the CBA Excellence in Alumni Services Award in 2005. He was a resident of Delmar for 53 years, the last year at the Delmar Place assisted living residence. He greatly appreciated the many friendly and helpful interactions he had with both the staff and residents of that community. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his sister, Marie Rose Cedilotte; his son, Lawrence James Cedilotte; and his son-in-law, Robert Schmitt. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Kathleen Erma; his daughters, Kathleen C. Schmitt of Delmar and Mary L. Stephenson of Bloomfield, Conn.; his son, Edwin F. Cedilotte (Joanne) of Glenmont; his granddaughter, Christine M. Cedilotte of Guilderland; grandsons, Jeffery D. Bielefeld (Corrie) of Forest Grove, Ore. and Andrew Schmitt of Albany; and a great-grandson, Kristofer J. Bielefeld. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, Delmar. The family will receive visitors at the church prior to the Mass. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Linda Barron ELGIN, NB - Today, Jim, Teeb and the girls lost a piece of their heart. Linda Barron, 63, of Elgin, NB passed away on October 17, 2005 at her home, after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by her husband, James, son Stephen (Christine); daughters, Wendy Belmore (Ross), Lisa (Jason), Dawn and grandchildren, Vanessa, Ryan, Holly, Lyndsay and Luke. Born in Berry Mills, Linda was the daughter of Mamie and the late Earl Burlock. She is survived by sisters, Eleanor Sherwood (Bill), Janet Barton (Robert), Donna Colpitts (Peter), Nancy Burlock and brothers, Henry Burlock (Florence) and Stewart Burlock (Mardi) and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Barbara Milner. Linda was an active member of her community and always ready to lend a hand. She was a past member of the Elgin Women's Institute and was loved by all her Brownies and Sparks. A dedicated wife and doting mother, Linda was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Armstrong Funeral Home, Petiticodiac, NB. There will be no visitation by request of the family. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22, at All Saints Anglican Church, Church's Corner, Elgin, NB at 1 pm. James Oliver Hebert, 68, of Beaumont, a loving father, grandfather and United States Army veteran, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2005. He was born January 16, 1937 in Beaumont, Texas. He was a long time realtor and once a pastor of Greater Little Zion Baptist Church. He was also an associate minister at Iconium Baptist Church where he attended church regularly with his many friends. Dad was a spiritual man who never met a person he would not stop and talk to. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Survivors include his sons, Clarence James Hebert and his wife Tina of Houston and James Hebert, Jr. and his wife; daughters, Lessie Nicole Gauthier and her husband Kevin and Shawn Kimberly Coward; and seven grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10:00 A. M. Thursday, October 20, 2005 at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial at Houston National Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 P.
