Boudreau, domiciliée à Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. Née à Bouctouche le 5 novembre 1928, elle était fille de feu Isidore LeBlanc et de feu Léa Boudreau. Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil deux filles: Maria Babineau (André) et Michelle Boudreau (Ryan Stacey), toutes deux de Sainte-Anne-de-Kent; un fils, Jean-Paul (Tina) de Sainte-Anne-de-Kent; deux frères: Ronald (Claira) de Bouctouche et Jean-Félix (Roberte) de Barachois; quatre petits-enfants: Bianca, Gabriel, Daniel et Jacques, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Antonia Noella Fouillard (née Houle) August 16, 1909 - October 17, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Desjardins Funeral Chapel ANTONIA (TONI) NOELLA FOUILLARD (Nee HOULE) “Toni” peacefully left us for her eternal home on October 17, 2005 at Taché Centre with her family by her side. Toni was born on August 16, 1909 and raised in Letellier, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph (Babe) in June 1977, her brother Ferdinand in 1910 and her sisters Denise in 1936 and Victoria in 1997. Mom was a devoted wife and mother. She took great pride in her family and was always willing to lend a hand and never expected anything in return. She was always very appreciative of anything she received and displayed everything with great pride. Mom could always see the brighter side to any dilemma and was always there with words of encouragement. She loved hockey and was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s biggest fan. Toni will be cherished and lovingly remembered by her sister Madeleine Morin, Port Dover, ON; her five children, Roland (Ruth), Denise (Jack), Claire (Wayne), Claude (Marguerite), Terry (Ash); her nine grandchildren, Raymond (Lisa), Rick (Barb), Gisele (Mike), Dinah, David (Lori), Brenda (Al), Catherine (Brent), Jennifer (Andrew), Nicole (Tyler) and her eleven great-grandchildren. ADAMS, Irene - Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully, after a short stay at the Grace Hospital, Irene Adams, age 98 passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2005. Irene was predeceased by her husband "Babe" and sons Dean and Jim. Irene will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Luella Lumley (Jack); sister Grace Haig; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Irene was long time member and a Past Noble Grand of St. James Rebekah Lodge No. 47, I.O.O.F., and in 1978 she was the first member of that lodge to have earned the Decoration of Chivalry. This decoration is given for volunteer work. As well, Irene was an active member of Sturgeon Creek United Church and took up painting with their “Crafty Crafters”, producing some beautiful paintings, which she graciously gave to family members. The family thanks the staff at West Park Manor for their many years of loving caring for Irene and also thanks the Grace Hospital nursing staff and Dr. Borrett for the tender care given to Mom. A celebration of Irene's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive. A reception will follow at the church. VARJASSY-REGIMBAL, Ilona Born Ilona Toth on June 4, 1929 in Nagy Gencs, Hungary. Passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 14, 2005 with her beloved Pepper by her side. Daughter of the late Janos Toth and Ilona Iker. After graduating from the University of Budapest, Ilona arrived in Moncton, N.B. in 1957, where she quickly learned English to continue her love of being a journalist. She was proud to be the first camera woman in Canada hired by CKCW TV in Moncton. She later moved to CJOH and eventually joined the Public Service, working for the Centenary Commission and later as assistant to the Minister of Multiculturalism and several other departments. Ilona was particularly interested in underprivileged children, the disabled and world suffering. She worked tirelessly to make the world a better place. Ilona is survived by the Toth family and childhood friend Marta Kravianszki of Hungary, the Regimbal, Goguen and Panek families and her many friends from Hungary and across Canada. Unfortunately, Frontal Lobe Dementia prevented her from fully enjoying her many friends in her later years. Special thanks to Mr. Gauthier, Melinda, Zsuzsa, Susana, Anna and the other dedicated helpers that made her life comfortable in the end. A Celebration of Ilona's life will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow. KEESVILLE, NY— Dr. Margaret Marie (Ahrensfield) Laperle of Keesville NY, Orwigsburg and Philadelphia PA passed away October 16, 2005 in University of Massachusetts Hospital University Campus in Worcester, MA at age 47. Dr. Laperle was born September 15, 1958 in Orwigsburg, PA to Genevieve (Fishola) and the late William Ahrensfield. She was raised in Orwigsburg PA and graduated from St. Ambrose Grade School in Schuykill Haven, PA and Nativity BVM High School in Pottsville, PA. Margaret won 1st place in the State of Pennsylvania High School Science Fair Competition in 1972. She then graduated from The College of St. Francis deSales in Allentown, PA. Dr. Laperle was a researcher at Wistar Institute and The Department of Pathology at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She did her Residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, her fellowship in Rheumatology at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian. Dr. Laperle was a nurturing physician who healed the minds and souls of her patients in healing their bodies in the truest sense of the Hippocratic Oath. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Phillipe Laperle of Keesville NY, a native of Worcester, her mother, Genevieve (Fishola) Ahrensfield, her brother Reverend Michael Ahrensfield pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Tremont PA and her sister, Dr. Debra Ahrensfield a Cardiologist in Philadelphia PA. A Memorial Mass for Dr. Laperle will be celebrated Thursday October 20th at 11 am in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 55 Illinois St. in Worcester. Croix, Hants Co., passed away on his birthday, October 16, 2005, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, with his family by his side. Born in Halifax, Halifax Co., he was the son of the late Walter Frederick Crowell and June Elizabeth (Dunbar) Crowell. Upon leaving Hants West Rural High, David went on to pursue his education at Dartmouth Vocational School for a two year culinary arts program which landed him a few cooking positions until he secured his place as a civilian cook in the military, working at Camp Aldershot, Centreville, for the past 20 years, where David's presence impacted thousands of people that passed through the doors of Aldershot. David developed a family bond with his fellow co-workers as their lives were forever changed as they considered David to be a true humanitarian. The family have always said that David made sacrifices for his own family and especially that of his children as their life experiences are vast as David's knowledge of the world was an open playground for them to learn. Considered eccentric, David was always one for true lasting friendship and chose to surround his life with the love and strength of his family as we considered his strength to be the pillar of ours. Robert C. (George) Smith 1928 - 2005 Robert C. (George) Smith, 77, of Ellesmere Drive, Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, October 17, 2005 from complications of Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS). Born in Basingstoke, England, he was the son of the late Lillian and William Smith. George was former Manager of Audit Services with Co-op Atlantic, retiring in 1991 with 30 years of service. Prior to moving to Canada in 1956, he was a member of the Royal Air Force with service in England, Gibraltar and the British Embassy, Washington, D.C. He was a member of the Probus Club and a former member of Toastmasters. An avid reader, he also enjoyed classical music and traveled extensively until curtailed by illness. He is survived by his spouse, C. Frances Smith; four sons, Christopher (Linda), Evan (Judy), Craig and Richard (Elizabeth); one daughter, Marsha Greenan (Blair); four grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Laura Smith, Matthew Greenan and Ellen Greenan; and one sister, June Cooke of Goole, England. FITCHBURG -- Irene M. (Arsenault) Brown, 81, of 26 Patton St., formerly of 29B Notre Dame St., Leominster, died Sunday, Oct. 16, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness. She was born on Dec. 14, 1923, in Fitchburg, the daughter of the late James and Lucie (Belliveau) Arsenault and lived in Fitchburg for many years, before moving to Leominster and later to her daughter’s home in Fitchburg.Mrs. Brown was a seamstress for the former Asher Pant Co. in Leominster, later going to work at Independent Lock Co.She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness in Leominster. Her faith was very important to her.Mrs. Brown loved crossword puzzles, playing cards, and entertaining. She especially loved to cook for family and friends. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and needlework. She loved her two cats, Milo and Sebastian.She leaves two daughters, Sandra L. Minier of Williamsport, Pa. and Louise Waitt of Fitchburg; one brother, Francis Arsenault of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Lorraine Watkins of Westminster; two grandchildren, Crystal Waitt of Fitchburg and Michelle Wilkinson of Williamsport, Pa.; two great-grandchildren, Erin and Mark Cochran, both of Williamsport; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. VANNIER, Jean Louis (Johnny) - of Espanola passed away at the Sudbury Regional Hospital, Laurentian Site on Saturday, October 15th, 2005 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Jane (nee Adams) of Espanola. Dear son of the late Rod and Parmelia (nee Nadeau) Vannier. Loving brother of Mrs. Angele Turcotte-Bowes, Mrs. Isabelle Brown and Bruno Vannier (wife Madeleine) all of Sturgeon Falls, Eugene Vannier (wife Geraldine) of Oakville and the late Jules Vannier. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Johnny Vannier was nicknamed one of the "Flying Frenchmen" while with the Paisley Pirates of Scotland. Vannier was chosen from 350 players from all over the Dominion. His skill allowed him to excel in baseball, badminton, skiing and swimming, as well as hockey. He played for the Sudbury Juveniles, Wolves Juniors, Legionnaires, and the Copper Cliff Junior "A" Redmen; the Canadian Legion Intermediates; the Paisley Pirates, the Fife Flyers and the All Stars of Scotland. John was inducted into the Nipissing Hall of Fame and was recognized for his contribution to Canadian hockey. John was originally from Sturgeon Falls and at the age of 18 joined the army and moved to Ottawa where he played for the Ottawa Senators. After the war, Vannier played in England and Scotland. In 1952 he had a conditional offer with KVP Espanola as stationary engineer but had to agree to play hockey with the Mill hockey team the KVEE'S. John was an Ordinary Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 39, Espanola and a Veteran of World War II. MUNROE, JOHN CHARLES - Unexpectedly, at his residence on October 16, 2005, Mr. John Charles Munroe, husband of Helen Josephine (Noddin) Munroe of Beaver Harbour, NB. John was born in Guysborough, NS on January 18, 1939. A loving husband, father and brother, John is survived, besides his wife, by one daughter, Kimberley (Scott) Anderson of Bedford, NS; one son, Kevin Munroe of Moncton, NB; three brothers, Bob (Betty) Munroe of Montague, PEI, Cleveland (Edie) Munroe of Halifax, NS and Ainsley Munroe of ON; two half brothers, Paul Ehler of Queensport, Guysborough Co., NS and Graham Ehler of Antigonish, NS; one half sister, Margaret Ehler of Boston, Mass.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his faithful companion, Jake the dog. He was predeceased by one sister, Margaret Morgan. John worked as a foreman for Connors Bros. Ltd. in Beaver Harbour and Blacks Harbour for 45 years. He was an avid lover of hockey and was involved with local Minor Hockey for 15 years. He will be well remembered for his love of decorating his property for the Christmas season. Albert Joseph LeBlanc 1923 - 2005 Albert J. LeBlanc, 82, of Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, October 16, 2005. Born in Bathurst, NB, he was the son of the late Charles and Gertrude (Haché) LeBlanc. He was employed with Stone Consolidated working in Bathurst and New Richmond, PQ until his retirement. He attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Riverview. Albert was Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion and a member of the Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association. He was a Flight Sergeant in W.W.II, serving as a Tail Gunner with the RCAF. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Flora LeBlanc; three daughters, Anne Russell (the late Charles), Susan Stephens (Roger) and Phyllis Vigneault (Raymond) all of Riverview; three sons, Jack LeBlanc (Dianna) of Blackville, NB, Jim LeBlanc (Debbie) of Calgary and Dr. Alan LeBlanc (Angela) of Moncton; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Jeannette Durwood of Mississauga, Leona MacIntosh of Burlington, ON and Rita Lomas of Beresford, NB; brother, Ronnie LeBlanc of Bathurst; and by several nieces and nephews.
