Ida Cecilia (Toots) Ramsay MIRAMICHI, NB - Ida Cecilia (Toots) (nee Phee) Ramsay passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi on October 16, 2005 in her 76th year. Ida is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Oland, of 59 years. Together they raised 12 children. Elaine Thompson (Leigh), Judy Foran (Bill) Miramichi City, N.B., Norman (Lynn) Arlington, Texas, Kevin (Cheryl), Richard (Shelley), David, Carolyn of Charlottetown, P.E.I., Gary (Cathy), Patty (Kevin) Jones, Cornwall, P.E.I., Paul (Cheryl) Stratford, P.E.I. and Danny (Marianne) Winnipeg, Manitoba. Predeceased by daughter, Marie (Campbell) and grandchildren, Bruce and Tracey. Ida also leaves behind 34 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Buddy (A.J.) Phee; sister, Marie MacDonald, both of Calgary, Alberta and Pat Spurles of Fredericton, New Brunswick. Ida was also predeceased by one brother, Lester Phee; sisters, Nora Halman, Phyllis McCarthy, Lilian King, Bertha O'Brien, Jen Flanagan and Marg Walsh-Hay. At Ida's request there will be no visitation. Following cremation a Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 21, 2005 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Basilica, Miramichi, N.B. Debra I. McTiernan LOGGIEVILLE, NB - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Debra Irene "Debbie" McTiernan, 49, of Loggieville, NB, formerly of Orangedale, Cape Breton, on Saturday, October 15, 2005, after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer, in Miramichi Regional Hospital, Miramichi, NB. Born in Kingston, ON, Debra was the daughter of Shirley (Sutherland) MacKay of Orangedale, Cape Breton and the late Charles MacKay. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" McTiernan; sons, Liam, Fredericton, NB and Devin, at home; daughter, Katherine "Katie", at home; brothers, Sandy (Joanne), Orangedale and Scott (Lynn), Auld's Cove; sisters, Shelley (Dave) MacDonald, Baddeck and Lori-Ann MacKay (Aaron Billard), Moncton; grandmother, Florence Whalen, Orangedale; many aunts and uncles; two nieces and one nephew; and many wonderful friends and neighbours in Miramichi City. Debbie was a mother who instilled values in her three wonderful children and related to all how blessed she was the have them. Her faith and love of each new day gave her strength. Moore, age 79, on Sunday, October 16, 2005, in Northwood Manor, after a series of health problems over the past 15 months. Frank was a well-known resident of North End Halifax, and was an accomplished bowler for many years. Frank was retired from the Naval Research Establishment after 35 years of service. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., April 1, 1926, Frank was a son of the late Allen Moore and Gertrude (Robichaud) Moore. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Doris Amanda (Judge); brother, George. Dolly James January 30, 1929 - October 15, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully on October 15, 2005 at the Grace Hospital, Dolly passed away at the age of 76 years late of Winnipeg. Dolly was predeceased by her husband Tom in 1986; mother and father Jane and Jack Maitland; brother-in-law Frank Thomson; sisters-in-law, Pat James and Eileen Stratton; mother-in-law, Agnes E. Harrison and father-in-law Charles W. James. She is survived by daughters Sandy and husband Tom Dudar of Winnipeg, Cathy and husband Kyle Breitkreitz of Winnipeg, Lorraine and husband Ron Douglas of Cochrane, AB, Della and husband Glenn Prokoppa of West Hawk, MB; sons Art and wife Susan of Winnipeg, Jeff and wife Karen of Winnipeg, Les and Terry of Winnipeg; also surviving are her sisters Margaret Thomson and family, Lil and brother-in-law Don Sharman and family, brother-in-law Ron James and family all of Winnipeg. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be fondly remembered by 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Dolly was born January 30, 1929 in Oakriver, MB, the daughter of Jack and Jane Maitland. Dolly spent her early years in Oakriver and later in Winnipeg where she met and married Tom, who was in the Armed Forces. She moved from Winnipeg to Toronto and then onto Kingston ON and back to Winnipeg. She worked at Eaton’s (Polo Park) for many years. She loved to travel, curl, golf and bowl. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, October 21 at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. We will all remember Dolly as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. May she rest in peace. LABELLE, Sylvio R.E.J. `Sylver' Mr. Sylvio Labelle passed away on October 12, 2005 at St. Mary's on the Lake Hospital, Kingston, ON, in his 66th year following a stoic battle with cancer. Sylvio is deeply missed but forever loved by his soul mate of 39 years Phyllis Hollett. He will always be cherished by his children Faye Fletcher (Dennis), Vanessa Neven (Jeremy) and by his loving son Marc (Angela) by whom he was predeceased. He will always be the loving poppy to his 7 grandchildren Dylan, Kait lyn, Beaux, Rielly, Jayden, Ellija, and Sydney. He will be eternally in the hearts of his sisters Gabrielle Corriveau, Rita Dignard, Juilette Grignon, Rejeanne Martel, Alice Lavallee (Jerome) and his brother Andre Labelle (Jackie) as well as his sist ers in law Cecile Labelle and Sylvia Desjardins, brother in law Phil Cote and his many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. He was predeceased by his sister Eveline Cote and brothers Ovila, Herve, Emile, Medard (Chick) and Reynald. Sylvio was the youngest of 13, born September 11th, 1939 to the late Celima and Elzear Labelle. His life was enriched by his experiences in the R.C.A.F., Cornwall Police Force and Enbridge (Interprovincial Pipeline) until his retirement in 1999. Sylvio was dee ply proud of his family and took great joy in the lives of his many relatives and friends. Although French Canadian, Sylvio was a true `screeched in' Newfoundlander who's fondness for his in laws and their Joi de Vie resonated with him. A special Mem orial Service for Sylvio will be held on October 22, 2005 at Murphy's Inn, 917 Second Street, West Cornwall, ON from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (with special tributes at 11:00 a.m.). PLAINFIELD - Robert A. Couture, 64 of 144 Dow Rd. beloved husband of Linda (Bloom) Couture died Sunday at the W.W. Backus Hospital, Norwich.He was born August 13, 1941 in Sterling, a son of the late Arthur and Mary Jane (Fournier) Couture and had been a lifelong resident of Plainfield. Mr. Couture was a graduate of Putnam Technical School. He had been employed by the former Pervel Industries for many years and was last employed by Intermark Fabric Corp, retiring several months ago. Mr Couture was a lifelong member of the Plainfield Fire Dept, and had served as a driver with the Plainfield Ambulance Corp for 18 years. He was a former member of the Danielson Lodge of Elks.Besides his wife he leaves a son and daughterin -law, Glenn and Dionne Couture of Ansonia; a daughter and son -in -law TerriLynn and Richard Bernat of Griswold; two brothers Roger Couture of Oneco and Ronald Couture of Plainfield; one sister Annette Moffitt of Plainfield. He also leaves his brothers -in -law and sisters - inlaw, Ronald and Mary Jane Lusser, Theodore and Joan Verba, all of Plainfield and George and Joan Bloom of New Hampshire. Dorothy Mae ``Dot'' (Dumaine) White of Norton, a retired cook, died Wednesday at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident in Attleboro earlier that day. She was 73. Born in Canton, she lived in Norton since 1963, having previously lived in Canton and Stoughton. Mrs. White worked as a cook for 10 years at Butler's Day Care Center in Norton, retiring in 1993. She was previously employed at Kilbourn Glass Co. in Norton, Draper Brothers in Norton and at the Robbins Co. in Attleboro. She was a member of the Chartley United Methodist Church in Norton. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, and sewing. She also enjoyed traveling, having recentlyMrs. White is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles A. Jr.; three daughters, Sandra J. Boudreau of Attleboro, Georgiana Humes of Rehoboth and Susann M. Stanhope of Rehoboth; two sons, Charles A. Cooper and his wife Paula of Cohoes; sister of Bertha Durocher of Waterford, Robert Durocher of Rotterdam, John Durocher of Cohoes, Flo Guild of Clifton Park, Barbara Gibbs of Troy, the late Eugene Durocher and Mildred Charbonneau. For the next 55 years Bob and Yvette lived and raised their four children in East Hartford. Robert was a man of generosity, passion, and love. Robert served over 50 years in the Local #478 as a crane and heavy machine operator. His family and helping others was his passion in life. In addition to helping his son-in-law at M&M Electric after retiring, Bob volunteered his time to help fellow campers at Roaring Brook campground. Roaring Brook campground was like a second home to Bob, his generosity was felt by all. Robert leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Yvette Goulet, their two children, Debbie LaBelle, Robbie Goulet and son-in-law, Michael Martin. He also leaves behind four brothers: Ralph, Roland, Rene, Ray; and six sisters: Dolores, Francis, Teresa, Madeline, Larine and Rachel. FITCHBURG -- Theresa E. (Isabelle) Baldarelli, 70, of 26 Delisle St., died Sunday, Oct. 16, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Worcester, following a short illness. She was born in Fitchburg on Dec. 27, 1934, the daughter of Joseph and Beatrice (L’Ecuyer) Isabelle and had lived in Fitchburg her entire life. She attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School and St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School, both in Fitchburg, and had attended Anna Maria College in Paxton.Before her retirement in August 2000, Mrs. Baldarelli was a longtime hostess at the Rendezvous Restaurant in Fitchburg. She also worked at Isabelle Sales in Fitchburg for many years.Mrs. Baldarelli was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fitchburg. She also participated in the Divine Mercy Chapel of Perpetual Adoration of St. Camillus Church.She enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing.Mrs. Baldarelli was the beloved wife of James F. Baldarelli, celebrating 50 years of marriage this November; one son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Beth A. Baldarelli of Fitchburg; one daughter, Nina M. Quintal, Ronald J. -- October 17, 2005 Ronald J. Quintal, 79, of Pennellville, died Monday. Born in Hilo, Hawaii, to his parents, the late Alfred and Adeline (Stevens) Quintal. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Quintal was a graduate of Tri-State University, Gola, Indiana, in 1952. He became an electrical engineer for General Electric Co., Syracuse, retiring in 1990 after 38 years. He was predeceased by his wife Zelma Irene (Gribulus) Quintal on Nov. 18, 2000. Surviving are his son, William David (Mary Anne) Quintal of Pennellville; his daughters, Barbara June (Allan) Perkins of Leeds, Maine, and Diana Lynne (Mike) Roscoe of Magnolia, Delaware; six grandchildren; his brothers and sister; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Senecal, 61 of Route 9, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at his home with his family by his side.Born on June 6, 1944, in Bath, Maine, he was the son of the late Charles and Louise (Hart) Senecal.Mr. Senecal graduated from Saratoga Springs High School.He married Marjorie A. Engle on July 2, 1967, in Ballston Spa.Mr. Senecal was employed at Ellsworth Ice Cream in Saratoga Springs as a maintenance worker for 18 years. Castille Sr. and Elmire Tauzin Castille, both of Breaux Bridge. As a young man, George went to work with Arthur A. Castille Inc. before joining the Navy during World War II. Upon completion of his military tour, Mr. Castille returned to his work, and retired with more than 40 years of service.Mr. Castille donated his time to the Boy Scouts of America (20 years) as a Cub Master of Pack 466, and Troop Committeeman and Assistant Scout Master of Troop 133 then as Cub Master of Pack 369. He remained busy during his retirement, serving as an Usher at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, and staying involved with V.F.W. Post 1982 as a lifetime member (where he served as past Chaplain and was Captain of the Honor Guard). Mr. Castille was also a member of the PBY Catalina International Association (the plane he flew on as a gunner during the war). Other hobbies included beekeeping and travel.Beyond all of his interests and hobbies, Mr. George was first a husband, father, grand and great grandfather and brother. His kind and unselfish way will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Amelia Thornton Castille of New Iberia; nine children, Guy P. She was 68 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. VECK, Arthur Raymond It is with deepest sorrow and regret the family announces the death of Arthur Raymond Veck age 74 years. With his family at his side at the Queensway-Carelton Hospital Art went home to be with his Savior after a brief illness on Saturday, October 15, 2005. Art is survived by his loving wife Gwynnth (nee Rice) of 53 years and children Bob Veck (Jan) of Calgary, Nancy McConnell (Wendell) of Kanata and Dan Veck (Debbie Ward) of Kanata. Cherished grandpa to Stephanie McConnell (Peter Schoch) of Kanata, Dan McConnell (Jasmina) of Kanata, Alyssa and Megan Veck of Calgary. Art is also survived by his elder sisters Hilda Alexander, Dorothy Smith, Grace Quigg (Milton) and his younger brother Stewart Veck (Violet). There will be a Memorial Service at Kanata Baptist Church (465 Hazeldean Road, 836-3145) to celebrate Arts life on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 2 p.m. Private interment.
